Mezcal Head Is Their Second Album, Originally Released In 1993. The Album Includes Their Most Successful Single "duel", Which Was Awarded Nme's Single Of The Week. The Album Turned Out To Be One Of The Hottest Albums In 1993 And Was Recognized A Masterpiece From Start To Finish Of Vintage Dream-pop/shoe Gaze On Allmusic With A 9/10 Rating.

Mezcal Head Was Ranked At Number 265 On Spin's "the 300 Best Albums Of The Past 30 Years (1985-2014)" List. Alternative Press Also Ranked It #39 And #90 On Their "90 Greatest Albums Of The 90s" And "top 99 Albums Of '85 To '95" Lists Respectively. Pitchfork Media Ranked The Album #10 In Their List Of The Top 50 Shoegaze Albums In 2016.

BACKGROUND:
In 1982 one of the most extraordinary and influential albums of its era was released . Named HOMOSAPIEN ,after the brilliant single that preceded and defined it,the album marked both the end of the second pop star incarnation of Buzzcocks ,the punk band led by Shelley that was both punk and transcended punk,and the beginning of Pete Shelley's innovative career.
In 1981, Shelley was searching for a new sound and by chance Buzzcocks' producer Martin Rushent already had one. Rushent's new studio Genetic was equipped with synthesisers,drum machines and all the hardware of the new technology which would come to define 80s pop. However at this point ,hardly anyone was making this new music. Shelley and Rushent were PIONEERS.
In a spirit of experiment and enthusiasm Shelley and Rushent recorded the album at Rushent's purpose built GENETIC STUDIOS. The album was recorded throughout 1981 creating a new sonic world. Despite Radio 1 thinking it was too risky for daytime play it was a big success internationally particularly in North America, Australia, Japan and the UK.
The following album to Homosapien, XL1, was no disappointment either . In 1983 Pete and Martin reconvened to make XL1 . With new technology (including a locked groove featuring the loading info for a ZX Spectrum) ,XL1 was a further step on for Shelley and featured one of the best singles of his career, the snarling ,relentless Telephone Operator. The album is both more rocky and more electronic than its predecessor paving the way not just for melodic synthpop but also the dance rock' which would dominate the 80s.
The pair of them used their imaginative talents to such a degree that their 12' mixes ,dubs and instrumentals pushed boundaries.
After the release of XL1 Pete Shelley continued his solo career before creating a new incarnation of The Buzzcocks which exists today. Martin Rushent died in 2011,leaving behind a legacy of music, hits and innovation.
Nearly 40 years on, thanks to the talents of Pete Shelley and Martin Rushent , the music still sounds fantastic.

The Who's producer. The first release was the urgent Making Time', which featured guitarist Eddie Phillips playing his guitar with a violin bow,
two years before Jimmy Page started doing so. Whilst very popular in Germany, UK success largely eluded the band, and after a number of non-
charting singles and line-up changes (including Ron Wood), the band broke up in 1968 without ever having released an album in the UK. Bizarrely,
Boney M had a huge hit in 1979 with the band's composition Painter Man'.
- Phillips and lead vocalist Kenny Pickett recorded an album in 1987 that remained unreleased until 2004, and in 1995, following reunion concerts
at Harlesden's Mean Fiddler, Alan McGee and Joe Foster managed to persuade the original line-up to record a new album, for release on Creation

While Kennedy Ashlyn would eventually emerge as a solo artist through her project SRSQ, there were unfinished Them Are Us Too recordings and demos that Kennedy and those close to Cash felt deserved be heard in her memory.
Them Are Us Too was formed in the Bay Area by friends Kennedy Ashlyn and Cash Askew in 2012 after meeting at school. Fast friends with an appreciation for the same music and art, they recorded a demo and began performing intimate and memorable gigs on the west coast. They quickly gained a cult following as word spread about their youthful, innocent, and fresh take on the revered 80s dream pop and shoegaze sound, and Kennedy Ashlyn's voice was immediately compared to Elizabeth Fraser, Kate Bush, and Harriet Wheeler - while Cash Askew's washes of intricate guitar felt akin to Robin Guthrie, Ronny Moorings, or Kevin Shields. Their music felt familiar but new, nostalgic, and heartbreaking, with songs delivered simply and earnestly. They betrayed their age (both only 21 when they signed to DAIS) by releasing one of the most incredible debut albums of 2014, Remain'.
Kennedy returned to the studio with producer Joshua Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), Sunny Haire (Cash's stepfather), Matia Somovich (INHALT), and Anya Dross (Cash's girlfriend) to complete unfinished demos and sketches, write new compositions, and honor Cash Askew.
The result is AMENDS': an album of tragic beauty and depth that tugs at emotions and inspires.

Amends is a collection of songs that would have been the second Them Are Us Too record. This release is an amendment to our catalogue cut short, a final gift to our family, friends, and fans who have supported us for the past 5 years. Amends' is a collaborative effort between TAUT and some of Cash's dearest friends and family, culminating in a final thank you' and goodbye.' Nothing will ever compensate for the loss of Cash, but as we struggle to put together the pieces of what the world is now, what life is now, I hope this record can help to fill in the gaps. And give us some amount of peace.'

Fast friends with an appreciation for the same music and art, they recorded a demo and began performing intimate and memorable gigs on the west coast. They quickly gained a cult following as word spread about their youthful, innocent, and fresh take on the revered 80s dream pop and shoegaze sound, and Kennedy Ashlyn's voice was immediately compared to Elizabeth Fraser, Kate Bush, and Harriet Wheeler - while Cash Askew's washes of intricate guitar felt akin to Robin Guthrie, Ronny Moorings, or Kevin Shields. Their music felt familiar but new, nostalgic, and heartbreaking, with songs delivered simply and earnestly. They betrayed their age (both only 21 when they signed to DAIS) by releasing one of the most incredible debut albums of 2014, Remain'.
Kennedy returned to the studio with producer Joshua Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv), Sunny Haire (Cash's stepfather), Matia Somovich (INHALT), and Anya Dross (Cash's girlfriend) to complete unfinished demos and sketches, write new compositions, and honor Cash Askew.
The result is AMENDS': an album of tragic beauty and depth that tugs at emotions and inspires.

Amends is a collection of songs that would have been the second Them Are Us Too record. This release is an amendment to our catalogue cut short, a final gift to our family, friends, and fans who have supported us for the past 5 years. Amends' is a collaborative effort between TAUT and some of Cash's dearest friends and family, culminating in a final thank you' and goodbye.' Nothing will ever compensate for the loss of Cash, but as we struggle to put together the pieces of what the world is now, what life is now, I hope this record can help to fill in the gaps. And give us some amount of peace.'

Cha Cha is the first live album by the Dutch blues and rock and roll group Herman Brood & His Wild Romance. The energetic live performance of frontman Herman is brought to you on vinyl and includes the single "Still Believe". Cha Cha is one fast trip to the world of "the greatest and only Dutch rock 'n' roll star", as het was called. He just takes the express and hold the pace high, when he's drifting away with his band to some great musical jams. The references to the drugs are clear, but he's not always satisfied, as hearable on "Dope Sucks". As "Rock 'N Roll Junkie" he adds a lot his passion and feeling in the live movement.

Herman Brood is known for his lifestyle "sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll", which would ultimately mean his end. In 2001 he committed suicide by jumping of the rooftop of the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel. The tragic end of rock 'n' roll hero.
