This is The Building, a trio from Hamburg. Based around the fabled drummer Sven Elsner (Ex Tigerbeat) , as well as writer and singer Daniel Chun and pianist and second lead vocalist Tina Kaempe. In this Building there is no ex- nor interior, it comes from within and in 2 fully different tonal structures. As a double release with the same songs, in different Versions and on two labels. November 1st. On Clouds Hill (part 1) and Questions & Answers (part2). Architects that need their fixed floorplan might call it a 'folk-rock album", b 'Electro-album". But that´s only 'half the rent' - Building the Building means ethereal spaces, oscillating sound places, seen on fragile CinemaScope. Actual meta-Pop including the right bit of enigma, and that's already more than most other German bands are 'built' on.

Following hot on the heels of February's 'Ores & Minerals', an album which The Quietus called 'the first great guitar album of the year' and which The Guardian proclaimed as 'Marvellous and highly recommended', Mazes return with 'Better Ghosts', a mini-album that blurs the lines between 'Ores & Minerals', their acclaimed live show, and what the future of Mazes may sound like.

The band started to think about compiling such a collection in the time between touring 'Ores & Minerals' and beginning to compile songs and ideas for a third LP, as singer and guitarist Jack Cooper elaborates;
'The record would be built around things we'd collected along the way...songs off Ores that we'd changed live, new songs we'd honed on tour, covers, and field recordings. As we began formulating the plan a loose narrative began to appear or at least something slightly tangible.'

Mazes are heading off on tour with Parquet Courts in October and Jack says that this year 'seems to have been infiltrated by a lot of Texans';'My girlfriend lived there for a few years and knew Bradley Kerl, who painted the 'Better Ghosts' sleeve, from a food market he worked at. They became great friends and Bradley was in a band called Teenage Cool Kids with Andrew from Parquet Courts. 'Donovan', which ties the record together, as Bradley seemed to figure out, was written by another Texan;

Jack Cooper (band singer) for Loud and Quiet - 'It's a record about a year of touring and hanging out... where everything and nothing happened. Things between things. Listening to and being influenced by everything ever and then trying to ignore it.'

London born and Berlin based mystery Perera Elsewhere steps out with with her new album Everlast. Featuring Gonjasufi and already getting the remix treatment from Hype Willaims & Maria Minerva.

After 8 years since its publication record here again re-emergence on the music scene the legendary Alberto Radius. Alberto began his career in the late fifties, he moved to Milan and soon after with the group ones is called to replace Franco Mussida . With this group , that shortly after he changed the name to PFM Radius affects the first few songs and developed his own way of playing the guitar. Returning Mussida , Radius leaves the group and forms with Tony Cicco and Gabriele Lorenzi Formula 3 . The first album Dies Irae is 1970 and it is the sound of the guitar Radius to set up the plot of the album. Radius Two years later he recorded his first solo album , Radius with contribute of some famous musicians of the Italian rock music of the seventies as Demetrio Stratos Giulio Capiozzo Patrick, Franz Di Cioccio and George Square of Premiata Forneria Marconi , Gianni Dall'Aglio and Vince Tempera in 1974, after the dissolution of the Formula 3 , Radius - along with Mario Lavezzi , Vince Tempera, Gianni Dall'Aglio ( former rebels ), Bob Callero and the other former Formula 3 Gabriele Lorenzi - founded a new group, the Flight , who recorded two albums and that is characterized by the Mediterranean sounds . After the dissolution of The Flight , in 1976 , Radius recorded his second solo album, What are you, that marks a turning point in his musical career. The following year he released his most successful album , Waste Paper mainly due to intense rock song in the ghetto . At the same time he began an intense career as a session man that sees him beside the most important Italian singers , often as a writer and producer . In 1986, the group is Cantautores with which he participated in various television revival of music and with whom he recorded two albums ( The land and Cantautores us) as it combines old hits and new songs . You might have thought Kitsuné had found its balance as electro's eclectic, reigning label, yet by casually launching the career of Two Door Cinema Club, one of the most endearing indie bands these last few years, the Franco-Japanese fox has proved the world it had become an important player in the music arena. In-house bands Is Tropical (second album 'I'm Leaving' came out this summer) and Citizens! are nothing but other convincing examples, the wheel's truly in motion!

Laura Groves, lead singer of Nautic and original Bradford girl. Her forthcoming EP 'Thinking About Thinking' includes the first songs she's written since moving to London from her hometown. Self-producing for the first time (with additional production from DEEK label boss Bullion), Laura places her exquisite voice at the heart of lavish arrangements of harmonies, synths and guitars, building on where she left off with her 2009 solo debut as Blue Roses.

recorded this new 7-inch in an old lightship moored on the River Thames in London, where the band moved in April.

The recording and mixing with Rory Attwell (Warm Brains,Test Icicles) only took one weekend on the river and produced the roaring, restless "Rats In The Palm Trees" and its daydream memory B-side, "Fortuna."

'I know it shines in you, but it burns me through, you're the mirror telling lies,' sings Joel Flyger over the reverberating distortion of his guitar on 'Rats In The Palm Trees.' Bassist Adam Page provides a propelling riff and drummer David Larson offers a rocking rhythm. The stays-in-your-head titular chorus is a literal metaphor, Flyger says. It's about great things being soured by something nasty or undesirable.

'Fortuna' is a self-reflective song about personal change. It has a lazy, woozy feel as Flyger sings, 'I miss the good in your eyes, it changes with all that you do.' But Popstrangers turn up the volume to ask, 'If you could change, then would you'

Released in 1995 Something To Remember was a compilation album, featuring previously released Madonna singles that had never been featured on her own album, including "I'll Remember" and "This Used to Be My Playground". Something to Remember reached the top 20 in over nineteen countries worldwide and went on to become 4 X Platinum in Australia alone.

Moby is one of the most innovative and individual forces in electronic and popular music today. He has sold over 20 million albums, headlined Glastonbury, and is back with arguably one of the best albums of his career, Innocents.

Moby chose to make this record with a stellar cast. For the first time in his career he worked with an outside producer, friend Mark 'Spike' Stent, whose résumé includes Madonna, U2, Muse, Björk, and Massive Attack. The list of eminent collaborators on Innocents includes Wayne Coyne (The Flaming Lips), alt-rock legend Mark Lanegan, Cold Specks, Skylar Grey - best known for co-writing and performing on Eminem and Rihanna's Love The Way You Lie; indie-folk singer Damien Jurado, and Inyang Bassey who was the vocalist on The Right Thing from Destroyed. He has named them the Innocents.

"I spend most of my time alone in my studio, so for Innocents it seemed like a really nice idea to involve other people in the making of the record. Working with all of these collaborators has helped me to make a record that I'm very proud of, and working this way also gave me some semblance of a social life.." (Moby)

The Innocents became the inspirational motif for the album, embracing human vulnerability and the desire for human connection, while celebrating imperfection in a world that too often esteems unrealistic and artificial perfection.

The thematic vulnerability is also reflected in the production, "Spike" Stent is known for big productions, but given the nature of the songs on Innocents he and Moby committed to a much more analog and lo-fi production approach. To this end they almost exclusively used old (and usually broken..) equipment in the making of the record.

The project of former Beatglider man Matt Randall, this represents his early Plantman recordings, put together on a four-track at home and with band member Adam Radmall at John Hannon's NO recording studios.

The beat & melody wizard Sun Glitters, out from Luxembourg, has passed, after the release of the acclaimed 'Everything Could Be Fine', to be known as the creator of glitterwave as a genre. Until then, each of the genres that were assigned didn't described his sound on fullness. Besides the immense material he has produced, he has been a prolific musician remixing other artists, being impossible to forget the remix he did for the first release of Purity Ring.

His adventure mate for this Ep is one of the most talented artists in the spectrum of the lo-fi bedroom folk, although Steffaloo's career is not restricted to this style. Much of today's most exciting electronic owes to her an irreproachable aesthetics and beauty set of vocalizations.

The Cosmic Oceans Ep is fully of lovely buzzing sounds with lush melodies and wonky & sundrenched beats wrapping up airy and freshly vocals.

The Lucky Strikes formed in 2006 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. 'The Exile and the Sea' is their fourth album release and explores the folk tales and oral traditions, both historical and in the more recent past, of their home town. Songs explore the burning down of Southend pier to tales of shady characters who used to drink in their local pub.

Cardiff massive Giovanni Branciamore and Bradley Albertides heard Nicole's amazing sultry folky tones on the Flowers of Flesh & Blood Album and just had to work up some nip and bop to sit with her voice. Nicole loved it and this is it! We're not too sure what to label this music under but tags of Future Nip Hop Ambient Folk Bop seem to be close.

Sarah Burgess is a secret forest folky vocalist from York with a super soft ambient tone to her voice which was crying out for a touch of Flyypost nip. Luv*Jam's ambient alter ego Flyypost slides out some wobbled out bass lines, floaty synths and a 68bpm raw kick drum all gliding on a bed of waves with Sarah's stunning Memories vocal. The latest in this popular series honors anti-establishment punk-folk god BILLY BRAGG. Two fantastic live cuts, "POLICE & THIEVES" (rec'd by JUNIOR MURVIN but made famous by THE CLASH) backed by THE LEVELLERS and the WOODY GUTHRIE penned "HOODOO VOODOO (SKA)" backed by THE BLOKES. 2 TONE sleeve.

Snow Ghosts is the collaboration between Throwing Snow & recent Phaeleh collaborator Augustus Ghost. Recently releasing debut album 'A Small Murmuration', they've been The Guardian's 'New Band of the Day', Zane Lowe's 'Next Hype', and have played a live acoustic session on Dermot O'Leary's BBC Radio 2 show.

'And The World Was Gone' pins a sense of unease to an acoustic guitar riff, cello and Augustus Ghost's most affecting vocal. Remixes come from Roly Porter (one half of bass duo Vex'd), who brings out the track's darkness, whilst D&B maestro Calibre emphasises the melancholy in its melody. Finally, in-demand Bristol producer Kahn provides the most arresting cover version imaginable.

The 12' is cut to heavyweight 180g vinyl by mastering engineer of the year, Matt Colton.

Mazzy Star gründeten sich 1990 aus den noch rauchenden Trümmern der SST/Rough Trade-Helden Opal. Hope Sandoval trat in die Band ein und veröffentlichte in den folgenden sechs Jahren zusammen mit ihrem Partner David Roback drei phänomenale Alben. Seit 1996 wurde es still um sie. Doch Hope gilt nach wie vor als das US-Indie-Darling schlechthin, Mazzy Star ist - vielleicht auch wegen dieser langen Pause - eine echte Indiefolk-Kultband. Seit Hopes 2009'er US-Rolling-Stone-Interview gab es immer wieder Gerüchte um eine Reunion und ein neues Album. 2011 erschien dann mit "Common Burn/Lay Myself Down" eine grossartig und mysteriöse Single. Und nun ist es soweit: das Comeback-Album "Seasons Of Your Day" erscheint Ende September 2013. Money, das sind Jamie Lee, Charlie Cocksedge, Billy Byron und Scott Beaman. Gefunden und gegründet hat sich das Quartett in Manchester, einer "extraordinary, poetic city", sowie es Jamie Lee beschreibt. As a preview to its release, Wolf Alice have released new track 'She' and support the EP's release with a forthcoming run of live dates with Swim Deep as well as their own London headline date at Dingwalls in Camden on 30th October.

 Developing the songs beyond their live favourite statuses after a prolonged season of touring and lauded festival appearances at Latitude, Secret Garden Party and many more, the Blush EP sees Wolf Alice's reputation as one of the finest guitar acts around today consolidated in the space of these four breathtaking new tracks. The EP's four tracks were, once again, produced by the band themselves with Dan Grech-Marguret handling the mixing.

Earlier this year, Atlanta's Dog Bite found themselves with downtime in Los Angeles between a successful tour with labelmates Toro Y Moi and shows at SXSW in Austin. The four-piece that makes up the touring group started messing around with different sounds and came up with their first full-band release, the LA EP .

This document of the road-tested crew is a stunning sequel to Velvet Changes , the band's debut LP, which showcased the talents of singer-songwriter Phil Jones and bassist Woody
Shortridge.

The LA EP begins with 'Warm, Wake Up,' a song that captures the bliss of a sunny day in the palm tree-dotted landscape and the romantic intrigue of Hollywood's studio lots. Motoring back down that winding road, we hear 'Hunting Seasons" where mid-20th century boogie haunts the track's guitars as the reverberating beat floats us back up to the clouds.

A feeling of melancholia drifts throughout the EP's songs. But the saddest part about this collection is its 13-minute length. It flies by like a short vacation or a cool breeze. But much more than sorrow for its passing, the LA EP inspires excitement for the next gust of wind.
