needs no introduction and is hailed one of the
greatest and most iconic film scores of recent times.

Invada Records and Lakeshore Records are
celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release with
a special edition double LP.

The soundtrack features the legendary synth score
by Cliff Martinez along with tracks by artists such as
College and The Chromatics.

The vinyl artwork has been completely re-designed
and features stunning new packaging exploring the
film’s noir element through the use of black and
white imagery.

The soundtrack is pressed on all new one disc blue
marble / one disc pink marble vinyl, with the records
housed in beautiful double sided printed inner

in, with Spin Magazine listing it as one of their Top

Notes Martinez: “The words ‘hit’ and ‘soundtrack’
seldom appear in the same sentence. The score to
‘Drive’ is the closest I’ve ever come to having
anything of the sort. And I wish I knew the recipe for
its success as no one is more eager than me to
repeat the experience.”

Clint Mansell - In The Earth (Original Music)

Clint Mansell's incredible synth score to Ben
Wheatley’s ‘In The Earth’.
 The score is pressed on 180g black vinyl and
housed in a deluxe spined sleeve with double
sided printed insert and digital download card.
 For the score, Mansell actually captured the sound
of singing plants via the PlantWave MIDI Sprout
machine, in keeping with the vegetal themes of the
film.
 “It’s big, ominous, sometimes beautiful and often
eerie - think Blade Runner or ‘Annihilation’ - not to
mention unsettling at times,” says Clint. “Paranoia,
isolation, anxiety, synths, plants... something for
everyone!”
 ‘In The Earth’ was made by Ben Wheatley during
lockdown and was one of the most talked about
films of Sundance Film Festival. As the world
searches for a cure to a devastating virus, a
scientist and a park scout venture deep into the
woods. As night falls, their journey becomes a
terrifying voyage through the heart of darkness as
the forest comes to life around them.
 Press - Features in Brooklyn Vegan, Empire, The
Guardian, The Quietus, Dead Central.

RAWHEAD REX

2x12inchSILLP1606
SILVA SCREEN
15.01.2021

Based on a short-story by the master of horror and fantasy, author Clive Barker (Hellraiser), Rawhead Rex is set in 1980’s rural Ireland. The Demon, alive for millennia and trapped in the depths of hell, is unleashed on the sleepy local farming community. Remembered faintly through pre-Christian myth, the only one that can stop Rawhead's bloody rampage is the historian, desperately racing against the time.
This is the first ever release for the soundtrack by Colin Towns, one of Europe’s most prolific film, television and theatre composers, but also a pianist, songwriter, arranger, producer and collaborator, known for The Puppet Masters, Space Trackers, Maybe Baby, Foyle’s War, Doc Martin, Pie In The Sky.
"The first film I scored was Full Circle which starred Mia Farrow and is still in the BFI top ten for best score for horrorfilms. I felt that film was more of a dark scary mystery. Rawhead Rex on the other hand was clearly a horror film 100%. I visited the film set in Ireland during the filming to take in the atmosphere and meet the actors after which I decided to record the music at CTS in London with a sixty piece orchestra plus electronics. I have always orchestrated my own work and had a wild time with Rawhead which is what I really love doing". Colin Towns

Colin Towns - Space Truckers 2x12"

The film is an outer space road movie starring Dennis Hopper, Stephen Dorff, Debi Mazar and Charles Dance. Independent space trucker John Canyon, his reluctant waitress-turned-bride, Cindy, and up-and-coming company trucker Mike carry a shipment of sex dolls which turn out to be quite deadly, especially in the hands of disgraced scientist-turned-space-pirate Captain Macanudo, who wants to use them to settle an old score. The score by Colin Towns plays like a crossover between a road movie and a space opera, featuring the powerhouse performance of the Munich Symphony Orchestra with some country and bluegrass interludes to represent the trucking aspect of the film. A special mention must be made of Phil Todd’s alto saxophone solos that lend some class to Charles Dance’s romantic scenes. And, of course, as with most Stuart Gordon movies, the film can go into crazy overdrive—just as we can expect from the director of RE-ANIMATOR.

Composed by Akira Ifukube - Rodan: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Behold the might of Rodan, the giant monster from the sky! In 1956, Toho unleashed their first colour kaiju picture: RODAN, directed by Ishiro Honda and produced by Tomoyuki Tanaka, is a terrifying tale from the creators of the original Godzilla that sees a giant Pteranodon rise from a deep underground cave after being disturbed by miners. Like the Big G, Rodan has mutated to excessive size after being exposed to nuclear radiation, subsequently soaring free above Kyushu to cause as much mayhem as possible as the JSDF do their best to protect the island from his bloodthirsty rampaging. It was inevitable that the man behind the music of Godzilla would also take on scoring RODAN, and the great Akira Ifukube created a score with a solemn edge as with Godzilla, which makes the music of RODAN fit in the larger universe while allowing it to feel unique to the character. For the main theme, Ifukube introduces a malevolent low piano and brass phrase before cointerpointing it with horns to create a howling menace worthy of Rodan. In contrast, beautiful but melancholy material represents the carnage the monster has brought upon the Earth; in a more upbeat mode, the composer includes another of his jaunty and jazzy marches for the JDSF in the guise of "Get Rodan". It's another Toho triumph from the great maestro Ifukube! (Charlie Brigden)

Composed by Benjamin Wallfisch Artwork by Cathy Kwan - SHAZAM! Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Mondo, in partnership with WaterTower Music is proud to present the premiere vinyl pressing of Benjamin Wallfisch's triumphant score for the 2019 superhero comedy SHAZAM!

Ben Wallfisch is one of the most incredible composers working today. He is a master of genre, but also impossible to pin down. His work on BLADE RUNNER 2049 is a masterclass in modern sci-fi. He redefined the sound of terror with his scores for IT CHAPTER 1 & IT CHAPTER 2 and last year's INVISIBLE MAN. To round the trifecta, though, he also has a playful side, which is no more present than in his ode to Williams and Goldsmith in SHAZAM! Just like the film, it is an immediate burst of energy, excitement and full of 80's filmmaking sincerity.

The seagulls in the sand have heard our prayers! Mondo and Milan Records are proud to present the soundtrack to Lionsgate’s instant cult classic comedy BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR.

One of our favorite films of the year so far, BARB AND STAR GO TO VISTA DEL MAR is a one-of-a-kind film with an equally unique soundtrack that will have you singing to the seagulls on the beach as we reemerge from lockdown this summer.

Beleaf it or Not, the musical comedy masterpiece was released just this year from the creators of BRIDESMAIDS (Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, writers and the titular stars of the film). Featuring show-stopping Busby Berkley style dance numbers, love ballads for an audience of seagulls, EDM remixes of My Heart Will Go On, musical interludes by Richard Cheese, and an incredible score that blends espionage with calypso by Dara Taylor and Christopher Lennertz, it’s an incredibly unique listening experience - almost as exciting as riding a Banana Boat.

Composed by Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans - The Lodge (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

It’s difficult being a stepmother at any time, so it’s going to be super-hard when your predecessor commits suicide and your partner has to be somewhere else, leaving the two whippersnappers behind for you to look after. This is what happens to Grace (Riley Keough, HOLD THE DARK) in THE LODGE, the unsettling film from Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (GOODNIGHT MOMMY). Scoring Grace’s ordeal is Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans, who previously brought screaming sonic landscapes to THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE and THE GIFT. With THE LODGE, they present a soundtrack that is often sparse and minimalist, but no less disturbing for that.

“Beginning with a distant droning that sounds unsettlingly close to ghostly whalesong, the score doesn’t find the need to launch itself at you with all its fury; instead, it wants you to know how patient it is. That it’ll wait. Bensi and Jurriaans slowly layer the textures, inviting metallic tones that sound like tools and wooden percussion over murky string melodies, the closest they want to get to whatever normal is. Low child choral voices, idiosyncratic and buzzing violins, all of these push to increase the claustrophobia, so that when the vibrations flit from channel to channel as they get closer and closer, you’re not even sure what’s terrifying you anymore. All you know is that it’s in THE LODGE. With you.” – Charlie Brigden, Film music critic

Composed by Fabio Frizzi, Franco Bixio, and Vince Tempera - Sette Notte In Nero (A.K.A.Seven Notes In Black And The Psychic)

Death Waltz Recording Company is proud to present the score to Lucio Fulci’s 1977 Giallo tour de force, SETTE NOTTE IN NERO (a.k.a. Seven Notes in Black and The Psychic ). In this elegantly chic late '70s Giallo, Italian gore-meister Fulci (pre-Zombie Flesh Eaters) takes the viewer on a thrilling voyage through the psychic visions of a woman who is desperately trying to exonerate her husband of murder. The illustrious Italian composing team of Franco Bixio, Fabio Frizzi, and Vince Tempera were bought on board to provide the score. Featuring their iconic guitar and keyboard work (including some well-placed synth stabs), but also including fat groovy bass lines, orchestral arrangements, and killer percussion, offset a little by menacing celeste motifs and sprinkled with occasional slinky sax. With this contribution to the Giallo canon, Bixio-Frizzi-Tempera’s score provides the perfect auditory backdrop for Fulci’s stylish celluloid. It ranks amongst the top of their impressive oeuvre – an essential addition to your soundtrack library.

Composed by Gregory Tripi - Maya Warfare EP

Death Waltz Recording Co., in conjunction with Back Lot Music, is excited to present the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to MA, featuring a terrific synth score by award-winning composer Gregory Tripi.

Tate Taylor’s excellent psychological horror film MA finds Octavia Spencer offering suspicious generosity with some warning signs — a classic tale of what happens when something seems too good to be true. Composer Gregory Tripi’s fantastic, mostly electronic score is laced with the type of ambient beauty, ominous energy, and berserk passages that a story this unhinged requires. He uses analog synths, along with elements such as a live cello, pitched wine glasses and a ukulele, made from a bento box, to craft a score that, like Spencer’s Ma character, lulls you in with a false sense of security before stopping you cold with a deeply crushing sense of terror that hits you at your core.

Mondo is proud to present the premiere physical release of the soundtrack to the MSX2 version of the classic game that started it all: METAL GEAR.

The Metal Gear series began in 1987 in Japan, and while it took decades for this original MSX2 version to make its official debut in the United States (the Ultra Games NES version is disavowed by series creator Hideo Kojima) it is considered one of the essential games to come out of the 80's. While not the first to implement Stealth mechanics in gaming, METAL GEAR certainly popularized the genre, and served as the launch pad for a decades spanning franchise of games considered some of the greatest of all time.

Composed by Le Matos - Exode: Original Web Series Soundtrack

Jesse Malcolm Sweet’s haunting sci-fi web series EXODE tells the story of celestial cartographer David, who is trying to save his family from death on a malfunctioning spaceship. His only help comes from a wise AI named Leo. Montreal-based Le Matos (TURBO KID, JOIN US) provides a richly textured electronic score that is key to the story, deftly cultivating feelings of wistfulness, loneliness, and mortality up against the unapologetic indifference of outer space.

The kinetic title theme is classic Le Matos sent into space — a majestically tempered track with a driving rhythm section and searingly dreamy synthesizers. The end credits theme alters that, nimbly blending in the sense of foreboding. The remaining tracks find Le Matos tapping into the range of introspection and terror. David feels as he tries desperately to reconnect with his family. Tender melodies morph into weary synth pads, pulsating arps, crystalline synth dreams, dissonant sonic expressions, and chest-thumping percussion. After a successful collaboration on the SUMMER OF 84 soundtrack, the exquisite Computer Magic rejoins Le Matos for the wistful slow-burner “The Sounds of Nora.” It all makes for an extraordinary adventure.

If you think about it, David isn’t alone with just Leo. He has Le Matos’ skillfully composed and evocative electronic soundtrack, which won the 2017 Melbourne Web Fest jury prize for Best Original Score. This is a companion that would make us all feel more comfortable tackling the beauty and terror of our own daily lives.

Composed by Michael Giacchino - Jurassic World Dominion: OST (2x12")

Mondo, in conjunction with Back Lot Music, are proud to present the final chapter of the Jurassic saga: Michael Giacchino’s score to JURASSIC WORLD DOMINION.

Giacchino started his early career at Disney Interactive Division where he had the opportunity to write music for video games. After moving to DreamWorks Interactive, he was asked to score the temp track for the video game adaptation of The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Subsequently, franchise creator Steven Spielberg hired him as the game’s composer and it became the first PlayStation game to have a live orchestral score, recorded with members of the Seattle Symphony. Now, 25 years later, Giacchino comes full circle with this soundtrack to the epic conclusion of the Jurassic era, recorded with 87 orchestra members and 30 choir members at Abbey Road Studios in London. Fans can expect Giacchino’s usual tongue-in-cheek track titles that highlight the action of the score cues.

Composed by Michiru Oshima - Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP 2x12"

Terror in Tokyo! Godzilla is back and is determined to cause as much damage as possible in GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA. After the "Big G" delivers a crippling blow to the JXSDF (Japanese Xenomorph Self-Defence Force), the government decides to build a new weapon to defeat Godzilla. Their solution: Kiryu, aka Mechagodzilla, a metal monster packed with all the firepower needed to put Godzilla down. But things go awry when Kiryu malfunctions and turns on the JXSDF, thanks to its use of the original Godzilla's DNA. Can they get back control and put an end to the "Big G"?

Selected to score GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA was Michiru Ōshima (GODZILLA VS MEGAGUIRUS, STAR WARS: VISIONS), who brought an exciting and heroic musical aesthetic to the film. Employing the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Ōshima's music sounds as enormous and powerful as the kaiju themselves, with a new menacing theme for Godzilla that uses the lower registers to bring across the monsters immense force. In contrast, Ōshima's theme for Kiryu uses high brass for an almost superheroic feel, with both themes working beautifully in counterpoint to each other when the two titans have their rumble. As scary as it is thrilling, Michiru Ōshima's GODZILLA AGAINST MECHAGODZILLA is one of the most significant scores to emerge from the hallowed halls of Toho. - Charlie Brigden

Composed by Nathan Johnson - Nightmare Alley: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack 2x12"

Those familiar with the incredible work of Nathan Johnson will not be surprised by his melody forward approach to such a dark and cynical film. Occasionally bleak but always gorgeous, the film delivers on its promise of grifters and hubris, but Nathan's score balances the equation with a propulsive and somber and simple score. Nathan Johnson and Guillermo Del Toro made beautiful music together. It is a brilliant partnership, one that I hope continues into future productions.

Pressed on 2x 140 Gram Gold Nugget Vinyl (also available on 2x 140 Black Vinyl) and housed in a gold-foil stamped gatefold jacket, wrapped in a foil stamped belly band, and featuring a bonus track by Hoagy Carmichael ("Stardust") not available on the digital album.

Composed by Nicholas Leone - Beach Rats: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

Mondo and NEON are proud to present Nicholas Leone's terrific synth score to Eliza Hittman's film BEACH RATS.

Beach Rats is a criminally underseen coming of age movie set in Brooklyn and deals with sexual awaking and bisexuality in an utterly beautiful and human way. The score compliments the film perfectly, Nick Leon delivers a spellbinding, magical, ambient score filled with emotion and dreamlike wonder, it’s a reminder to the listener of softer Boards Of Canada style ambience and the recent ravenous appetite for Japanese ambient reissues of the 80s and compliments the deft touch and dreamy atmosphere of the film perfectly. As a piece of music away from the film it could easily be at home on warp records and is a must listen for fans of chilled out electronica with incredible melodies .

Composed by Paul Leonard-Morgan and Phillip Glass - Tales From The Loop Original Soundtrack

Mondo, in partnership with Hollywood Records, Simon Stålenhag is proud to present Philip Glass and Paul Leonard-Morgan's exceptional soundtrack to the Amazon Original series TALES FROM THE LOOP

The score for TALES FROM THE LOOP, co-composed by Philip Glass and Paul Leonard-Morgan, is mesmerizing. Simultaneously otherworldly and timeless. If you’ve seen the show you know how intrinsic the music is to the overall feel of it. And still, this is a record you can equally enjoy independent of the show.

The central piano melody of the main theme weaves itself throughout the entire fabric of the music, forgoing the usual sci-fi trope of electronics and synthesizers. TALES is rooted in piano, cello, violin, and awash with complex orchestration. Melancholic and haunting one moment, dramatic and crashing the next. It’s a towering achievement, and the interplay between the two composers is nothing short of stunning which seamlessly takes the listener on a beautiful and emotional journey.

Composed by Stelvio Cipriani - Nightmare City

Death Waltz Recording Company & Mondo are proud to present the mind-melting score to Umberto Lenzi’s 1980 contaminated zombie(?) film, Incubo Sulla Citta Contaminata (a.k.a. Nightmare City)! Composed and conducted by Stelvio Cipriani, the record you are holding in your hands is another stellar work by the late Italian maestro.

Pursued by the most ambitious, well-armed, and over/radioactive mutant zombies on film, the film’s protagonist, American news reporter Dean Miller (portrayed by Mexploitation star Hugo Stiglitz), makes it his mission to alert the public about the impending doom, but the powers that be are preventing him from doing so. Utilizing driving baselines, drums, percussion, and topped with a layer of intense keys, Cipriani delivers the perfect score to complement the mayhem unfolding on screen. Will our hero save humanity? Well, with maestro Cipriani at the helm, it doesn’t matter — the soundtrack sounds quite radiating.
