“Chacha” is the third album from one of the most groundbreaking European acts of the moment. Schulverweis, the collaboration between the prolific Levente Pavelka and the elektro enfant terrible Johannes Haas (aka L.F.T.), delivers an exceptional blend of eerie, lo-fi post-punk. C.A.R. (Choosing Acronyms Randomly) is the musical project of Chloé Raunet, a Canadian-born, London-based artist known for her icy synths, warm vocals, and left-field pop sensibility. Drawing from post-punk, electro, and experimental songwriting, she creates music that’s both emotionally charged and sonically adventurous.

Following a five-year hiatus, C.A.R. returns with Shyana, the first single from her long-awaited fourth album, Dance at Oscar’s. Produced by Nathan Ridley, the release marks a creative rebirth: a new label, a new live formation with Joni Green, and a sound pulsing with revitalised energy. After a pandemic-induced break to focus on filmmaking — and a period of burnout and disillusionment — Raunet was ready to walk away from music altogether. But a pair of carried-over festival dates and an impromptu onstage reunion with longtime friend Joni Green unexpectedly reignited the spark. What was meant to be a farewell became the start of something new.

Shyana is a shimmering slice of machine-funk — a warped and groovy tribute to Paul Anka, filtered through C.A.R.’s surreal pop lens. A meditation on teen hysteria, pop manufacture, and the strange alchemy of early fame, the track pulses with wonky elegance and strutting confidence. One of the most playful cuts from Dance at Oscar’s, it showcases Nathan Ridley’s tight, swaggering production while capturing the album’s embrace of movement, humour, and the weirdness of cultural nostalgia.

On the B-side, Cecilia Road offers a more reflective counterpoint — a nostalgic, synth-drenched ballad built around a call-and-response vocal, throbbing melodies, and emotional tension. Intimate yet expansive, it hints at vulnerability without losing the pulse.

August 1988, Spacemen 3 embark on one of the strangest events in the band's already strange history. Billed as "An Evening Of Contemporary Sitar Music" (although consciously omitting the sitar), the group would play in the foyer of Watermans Arts Centre in Brentford, Middlesex to a largely unsuspecting and unsympathetic audience waiting to take their seats for Wim Wenders' film Wings of Desire. Spacemen 3's proceeding set, forty-five minutes of repetitive drone-like guitar riffs, could be seen as the "Sweet Sister Ray" of '80s Britain. Their signature sound is at once recognizable and disorienting – pointing as much to the hypnotic minimalism of La Monte Young as to a future shoegaze constituency. On this double LP reissue, Dreamweapon is augmented by studio sessions and rehearsal tapes from 1987 that would lead up to the recording of Spacemen 3's classic Playing With Fire album. "Spacemen Jam," featuring Sonic Boom and Jason Pierce on dual guitar, is a side-long mediation on delicate textures and psychedelic effects. Slimy - The extraordinary lightness of being ... just the path and what's on it. Marty - This is Toad's one and it's a cracker. Johnny turned 70 last year, celebrating in style with a gig at London's 229 Venue. Some people have said it was the best Moped gig ever. How was it from your point of view? Slimy - I thought Johnny's birthday gig was a rip-roaring success _ I enjoyed it _ The next Moped gig will be the best Moped gig ever and the one after that ... Marty - It's not the best gig as far as how we performed. But as far as the turn out and the size of the crowd that came along to celebrate Johnny's Birthday it was the best vibe of all the gigs for certain for me. This year marks the 50th year of Johnny Moped. What have been the high (and low) points for the band in the last five decades? Slimy - The constitution of these thoroughbred punk rockers is testimony to getting up and rocking out _ Johnny is not stopping he's class. Marty - I've only been in the band since 2017 and before that was the driver and shit carrier and before that a fan and also the band are my mates. So not one low point for me at all. Raderkraft brings his signature sound, a unique mix of raw energy and refined minimalism, back to life. This time only up-tempo songs, partly in Dutch and also including a remix of Dyatlov track “Insect Paranoia“ (exclusive 2023 remaster) plus a cover of Belgium 80’s minimal wave act Violence Conjugale. It -finally- marks the vinyl release of crowd favorite “De Witte Streep” (exclusive 2023 remaster).

The lavish lyrics reflect a sense of rejection in an indifferent polarizing society. This mini album will make you think, feel and finally realize that we live in turbulent times.

"A brittle metronome in a delirious tension landscape, WOMEN'S HOUR are a Glasgow based experimental post-punk duo featuring Contort Yourself head honcho Murray CY and artist Jenny Wicks. On this, their debut release, a 12 track lp, a true to form jagged 80s post-punk affair, the two piece bring to life the day to day in the grim North through their music. One can almost feel the chill coming from the brittle window panes of the dank drafty flats, filled with asbestos paint, busted heaters, and no hot water flowing for who knows how long. Desperate, urgent, coming close to falling apart, yet pulling it together to make it through to the next song...this is as "British" as it gets (yes we know Scotland is its own thing guys, don't shoot) The sun hasn't shown its face for many months, wind blows through the deserted streets, change jingles around in your pocket, a hungry dog barks. This is the music of Women's Hour.

"Industrial punk from this mysterious duo, primitive but original and catchy.Punk as it used to be, confrontational, cynic, mean and with a dark sense of humour. Hailing from Barcelona they also are part of the infamous duo Ca de Bestiar, which is sort of the reverse of this project: while in Ca de Bestiar the punk component prevails over the industrial one in España the punk element is only left on the vocals and the attitude. And as with Ca de Bestiar, they enlist Viktor L.Crux as producer and mixer.

They avoid cliches but also avoid pretension, these tracks sound natural like there was not much thought put into it but pure instinct, which is an exceptional feature these days. Daring djs will find that tracks like ""Bushido"" or ""Ayudame"" are unexpected bangers.

Mal-One was always fascinated by the story of the legendary Gibson Les Paul Custom guitar, that Steve Jones, the guitarist of the Sex Pistols came to use. It was like a talisman object that got handed down from Sylvain Sylvain, the guitarist of the New York Dolls to Mr Jones. The story goes that Malcolm McLaren, during his brief stint working with the New York Dolls, acquired the guitar and carried it back to England. For monies owned to him for his work and on a promise that Sylvain Sylvain, was to come over to England to work with his new prodigies, the Sex Pistols. The guitar would be waiting for him.
Well history tells us that Sylvain Sylvain, did not make that trip and Steve Jones’s temporary use, became permanent. The guitar looked great with it’s two girly stickers ( decals ) and became a signature look for Steve Jones. Adding to this the story that Steve Jones stole Mal-One’s bike when he was seven years old. That story had to be told. Punk Art Poetry, that turned into a song. Hope you enjoy the indulgence.

Recorded in 1978, Bell splits the difference between his love of basement psych splatter/ pummel and squalling free jazz ramble, the former occupying side A with a stunning four part suite of wasted guitar scuzz and churning Krautrock-like drama with an akin to German Oak, Roland Kirk, Albert Ayler, DNA, Melt Banana (minus the vocals) and Guru Guru. The latter represents Bell as a saxophonist on side B, and the music itself translates into a 15-minute free-jazz exploration

"Why "Bouncer"?
In Club Culture, the bouncer represents the image of determination, a
fundamental element that characterizes every produced track.

I imagined this album as a virtual club in the metaverse, where my
avatar is a BOUNCER.

Here, the music plays loud, the bar is open, and each track on the
tracklist carries a part of my soul and my influences.

For me, this project represents a meeting point between the roots of my eclecticism and the strength of the artists involved, creating a mix of sounds and styles that reflects my artistic and personal journey.

With this album, I want to celebrate Club Culture and all its influences
on my life and music, offering an authentic and deep sonic experience
for all fans of the genre.

Mal-One’s seventh single sets out to tell the listener in 3 minutes and 21 seconds, everything that it is not. But in doing so by default or design, becomes everything it says it is not!!!

The album began to take shape duringJanuary 2019.
It has been recorded live by Matt Bordin ad Inside Outside
Studio, in Veneto, Italy. The choice of this method is due to the
desire to avoid the use of any post-production tool, to
maintain a natural sound and a hard impact on the listener.
"Robox" is made of nine instrumental songs characterized with
A furious post-punk full of violent and high impact riffs.
The artwork has been realized by Lacy Faery: nine monstrous
creatures, everyone of which portrays a song.
The cover art is the final portrait: the representation of
Dante's infernal journey, here embodied by the Robox, who
goes through the nine circles of Hell and faces the ancestral
traumas that affect the human psyche during its
trasformative path.

On Oct. 14th "Hard Pop" - first official single, published along
with a video - has been released.
The video has been realized by Mauro Romanzi in the ''lounge''
room of the Astro Club in Fontanafredda.
In few days the video reached more than 10k views on Youtube.

Franz Valente (Il Teatro Degli Orrori, Buñuel, Snare Drum Exorcism) – Drums The Robox project was born out of the idea of making music that points towards future and innovation. This music wants to escape
from the monotony and from general music trends of the music industry.

The band uses the sound as a carrier for the lightning of the senses, to give a strong emotional shake to whoever listens to it.
After a long period made of musical experiences and geographical
distance, the Robox project starts to take shape in 2016.
During this period the songs start to sound defined, also because of
the practice coming from the first live shows.
Cesco, struck by a vision, since the first gigs starts to go on stage with a specific outfit: a bright red suite and a golden mask, evoking the image of a robotic man, the Robox: a superhero that fights the eternal struggle between instinct and reason.

BART & THE BEDAZZLED: PEOPLE PERSON + CARBOARD MAN (7")
Bart & The Bedazzled return with a sensational AA-side 45 with the highlife-vibed-plaintive pop of 'People Person' and the layered 'Cardboard Man', featuring the gorgeous guest vocals of Earth Girl Helen Brown. "World dance pop meets '80s indie" LA's northeast side is home to a dizzying number of independent artists and bands. One of the scene's most distinctive sounds emanates from Bart & The Bedazzled, a collaborative group led by talented songwriter Bart Davenport. After debuting in 2018 with the Blue Motel album Bart reconnects with the stellar musicians that make up the Bedazzled for two exclusive new songs of, what he terms, "world dance pop meets 80s indie". Consisting of Los Angeles' highly respected players, the collective are undoubtedly a "musicians' band" playing for joy, performing for and with other artists that inhabit underground haunts such as Zebulon or Permanent Records Roadhouse. This is their sound!
With these new tracks The Bedazzled usher in a new phase, adding a small dose of drum machinery to the mix, resulting in an uplifting, danceable endeavour. On top of this, hand played congas and shakers blend with ultra clean guitars to form a rich context for Bart Davenport's patented, smooth vocal. Newcomer band member and producer Nic Hessler (Catwalk, Captured Tracks) fits these pieces together in seamless mixes.
People Person celebrates the collective human experience, while subtly acknowledging that people often are "the worst". It's an upbeat ode to a beautiful world that sadly may never be saved. Meanwhile, the semi-fictional Cardboard Man critiques a society desperate for truth and a way out of dark times only to find omnipresent, puppet-like heroes offering nothing real. Featuring guest singer Heidi Alexander aka Earth Girl Helen Brown her distinctive tone and phrasing add a much needed weirdo energy to a decidedly consonant pop track.
It comes as no surprise the group have gravitated towards world-dance-ish sounds. Andrés Renteria is an accomplished crate-digger and DJ, as is bassist Jessica Espeleta. She kicks off People Person with a dubby bass line, setting the stage for Wayne Faler's African highlife inspired guitars. It's still Bart & The Bedazzled, but this time they come with a sound somewhat reminiscent of '80s bands that also incorporated international flavors, such as the post Young Marble Giants project Weekend or French electro-obscuros Antena. Like those bands, Bart & The Bedazzled have a wide range of influences and the artistic intention to make something contemporary with them.
Above all, they're a group of friends who enjoy the creative process together. For them the journey is as important as the finished work.

Over the past few years an increasing number of bands hailing from the former USSR have been appearing on the screens and the phones of the so-called Western world’s underground music enthusiasts.

With most of them being pretty obscure and only a very few ones having established a worldwide following (Motorama, Molčat Doma) the Sovietwave tag has worked usefully enough as a tool to identify a wide range of bands each one with a different sound and yet something in common. Whether it be the harsh weather or just the distance creating an exotic effect, there is some icy-cold touch with these bands that immediately makes you know they’re from Russia, regardless of the language they perform.
This goes for Blind Seagull too.

The trio from Kaliningrad, a small russian enclave on the Baltic Sea between Poland and Lithuania, has been around since quite a few years now, releasing tapes and limited edition vinyls on labels like Detriti, Sierpen and Pine Hill.

Finally taking up the challenge of writing a longer full-length (previous albums were seven or eight track long at best), the trio led by Denis Zarubin has created twelve new songs that shine a light on the impressive skills of this young combo to deliver very classic and yet extremely fresh and modern cold post-punk gems.

Keeping it short and sweet, their two-three minutes long compositions cut right to the chase of the darkwave soul: stomping drum machines, frozen guitar arpeggios, tense bass riffs. The formula is occasionally rocked by the intervention of laser synths, noise raids and gothic chorale, while the industrial pièce of the title-track and the IDM-tinged collaboration with experimental giants Xiu Xiu ‘Fear’ will show how this band stands out and how their upcoming, new album is the best proof of this.
