A genuinely unique project; Fundamental's Alex Stark created this highly limited and beautifully presented project via his love for Cygnus. This led to Biosoft Records which led to the discovery of Patronen, a man who made two album's worth of material (and probably more) on analogue machines in the early 90s and refuses to move from shadows. Twin Paradox celebrates this prolific, formative work across two albums. With the classic electro angularities and epic synthetic cosmicity are very much of their time, there's an overwhelming sense of timelessness and relevance to the project too. We reckon if you listen to cuts such as the poignant, reflective "Abstand" or the distorted, shuffling phrases and positive harmonics of "Karlsruhe Nach Basel" in 20 years time, they'll still sound just as icy and futuristic. We also reckon you need to jump on this investment now! With only 100 printed, this will sell out very quickly.

Tokyo Wax is a Peckham based coterie of creative individuals who draw their influence from varied cross-section of Electronic music's heritage. Tokyo Wax intend to outlet music that both reflects and expands upon their influences spanning across spacious, loose-limbed headphone pieces and tough, floor-focused club tracks.
In to inaugurate the project are label heads Presence and Persona backed up by L.I.E.S and Russian Torrent Versions affiliate NGLY who collectively turn in a package bearing flecks of Dub, percussion-lead House and tenebrous, left-of-centre Electronica.
TW001 was funded by a Kickstarter campaign with all proceeds from record sales going towards the U.K based Addison's Disease Self Help Group.

'Square' is the follow up to Redshape's album debut 'The Dance Paradox' (Delsin, 2009) - that is if you don't want to count the double impact 12-inch - Red Pack' as a long player. And indeed, it is a long player in the truest sense of the term. Pamphlets, theories and opinions about the dubious role of 'the album' in techno are dime a dozen, i.e. squaring the circle, but the man with the mask makes an effort to prove all of them wrong. 'Square' doesn't care for styles, genres or expectations, it can hold its own. Spread across twelve tracks you are as likely to meet vintage Redshape on tracks like 'It's In The Rain' or 'The Playground (Square Version)' as you will encounter new facets of him with the Hyperdub affiliated Space Ape featuring 'Until We Burn' and 'Moods And Mice' or with a cluster of ambience pieces ('Orange Clouds', 'Landing', Departing'). Working its way through all these states and moments on and off the dance floor, through melancholy and industrial romanticism alike, 'Square' leaves you with the feeling of having experienced an electronic music album with identity that trusts in itself and wants you to trust in it. No matter if your perspective comes from a classic album like Kenny Larkin's 'Metaphor' (R&S, 1995) or is informed by the recent retro futuristic developments in the United Kingdom, if techno means more than a desperately compressed kick drum to you, Redshape with all his idiosyncrasy finds his way into your heart. Too hip to be square I don't think so.

Hessle Audio are excited to announce the release of the self-titled debut album by Pearson Sound, aka label co-head David Kennedy. Characteristically minimalist in approach, its nine tracks use a handful of elements to craft mesmerising, self-contained worlds, alive with motion and near-subliminal detail: from vast and inky landscapes, to electrifying rhythm tracks, where layers of percussion and bass tumble over one another like rocks in a landslide. Recorded between 2013-4, Pearson Sound documents a distinct phase of Kennedy's studio explorations. "I had a signal chain set up that I was really happy with, and I started sending my machines through the same processes" he says. Expanding upon the techniques underpinning his recent REM and Starburst 12"s, its tracks emerged swiftly through improvised jam sessions, some were captured in a minimum of takes, while others later took shape through extensive sculpting and post-processing. "A lot of it was made by feeding the the same sounds between two different pieces of equipment and they'd end up feeding back between each other and snowballing. On some tracks it's about harnessing that and taking it to the brink before it disintegrates, and some of them are about just letting it go full-blown out of control." The result is a record of striking contrasts: bold, stark and visceral, yet also subtle, harmonically complex and deceptively playful. While Pearson Sound's livewire percussive energy remains inextricably rooted in the club, this exploratory studio process has created Kennedy's most wide-ranging yet coherent body of work to date: a suite of thrillingly impulsive, expressive and open-ended music, untethered from restrictions of form.

If you peeked his recent Instant Broadcast LP on Delsin you'll know that he runs the whole gamut from the sample based broken beat leanings of How to Mind your Own, to the frenetic techno sound of Pressure Bumps via the melodic Aphex style vibes of She Is. And thats just the A side. All in all, a rewarding listen, a dense layered EP - a collage of a whole spectrum of influences that fits nicely into the All City no style canon.

Third and final chapter for the Sentient City serie by Plant43.

Hodge is one of those rare producers keeping the quality on point while unleashing a near constant stream of music. Releasing no less than nine singles and EP's in two years (in parallel to his work as half of the duo Outboxx) the Young Bristolian has rapidly claimed a sonic territory of his own. Anthemic melodies, militant drums, cavernous sub bass have combined on future classics released on Berceuse Heroique, Punch Drunk and Tempa. 2015 will no doubt see Hodge increasingly dominate the ever-mutating UK underground.



His debut release on Hemlock lays four heavyweight tracks spread over two pieces of vinyl cut loud and proud by Sam at Precise. The EP spans all aspects of the Hodge signature sound: Tribal steppers, Sound system wreckers, twisted drum edits and haunting melodies.

With her single 'A Matter Of Time' Dillon sent out a wonderfully fragile prelude to her second album 'The Unknown' on BPitch Control. For the remix EP Dillon has allowed four genuine masters of their trade to lay hands on the original: Marcel Dettmann, Anstam, Planningtorock and Monokle.
Janine Rostron, aka Planningtorock, manipulates Dillon's voice in a similar way to her own productions, giving it an almost genderless breadth. The interplay with retro-sounding percussion and accentuated bass sounds gives rise to an extremely versatile anthem. While Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann initially extends Dillon's vocals, the industrial slipstream provides a space for a loop monster à la Dettmann - raw, primal and dirty. Although his positively ghostly sounds dominate his 'A Matter Of Time' remix, the piano chords in the epilogue bring the original to mind again. Anstam, from Modeselektor's 50 Weapons family, applies his trademark sound design to his interpretation, lending Dillon's voice an almost reverent glow among the hectic light of IDM abstractions, organ pathos and experimental leftfield verve. The Russian producer Monokle begins his remix as an ambient piece, before the fat breakbeats transform the original into a pumping track where dreamlike synths and a deeper bassline concuct a glittering hybrid.

The tracks on this ep represent the climate of clubbing yesteryear when it was normal for djs to play such things as Ministry, Front 242, or Nitzer Ebb next to a disco track next to a breakbeat track and so forth and to say these tracks could be heard somewhere like Medusa's would not be off base. Driving, engaging and downright gnarly we can only hope these sounds foreshadow things opening back up on the floor as time pushs forward.

Indonesian hardcore band Senyawa board the Morphine Records mothership in early 2015, with a stunning upcoming album "Menjadi" (doser025LP). A preview appears here in the shape of a an extraordinary album track replayed by Charles Cohen's on his Buchla Music Easel. While enjoying a few months residence in Germany, Mr Cohen conducted a ritual-esq and tonal re-adaptation - flushing the song through layers of spaced out orchestrated grooves. Meanwhile in the US, explorer of the deepest depths, Robert Turman, smashed Charles' Conundrums into small bits and recrafted it in his own masterful manner. He seems to channel a similar ability of melting down the metal in a sound, and forging it into new and expanding shapes.

KANGAROO SKULL is the solo project of Rohan Rebeiro - drummer of renowned Australian trio MY DISCO. Heavily percussive and rhythmically complex, KANGAROO SKULL meticulously pieces together soundscapes within Max MSP, with an end result that conceals in its raw simplicity the intensity of the process. With multiple tours outside Australia already behind him, Australian dancefloors have been keenly awaiting a first release. ONDULANTE is a technical track, which creates a seismic waiving motion effect in the subwoofer with breaks to strengthen the main theme
The track goes away again on the march toward a possible interpretation of the futur groove. 
The main groove (the rhythm) is a classical techno based one, with a 'new-trance', funky bass line.
In the middle of track comes an "old school detroit" filtered sound that turns into a pseudo electric guitar until the first break that disassembles the sound creating a mini-chemical atmosphere, as if it collides with an obstacle and brokes in hundreds pieces in order to get back together in a slightly different way, the final one, which is the starting main bombing, in which the former rhythmic elements are recomposed to form a suspension and continuous drone music.
The track go to the end travelling to another clash, the latest and the longest ... start again and finish. 

BOSCHISPOGLI is a more mystical and intimate journey, inspired by a post nuclear explosion forest
It starts with an 'old schoo'l house rhythmic and a funk Detroit bassline, supported by sequences of filtered tom in a "progressive house" style decorated with distorted ambient atmosphere and supported by a minimal techno backgrounds
A voice, that is dark but resonant and pervasive in all the track, makes the audience remember the "electronic" crying or the lament of those trees stripped from the dead explosion , a reflection of an alien point of view.

We believe Romare has made one. Diverse 3 track EP from NYC's Ulysses... more sounds that define Bunker NY....TIP!
the label say" When it comes to new music from Ulysses, you never know what you're going to get. His career has spanned genres from Techno and House to Experimental and Disco, with every release delivering an exciting musical surprise.

An essential pioneer of the late-'90s electro scene in New York, Ulysses threw some of the earliest large-scale electro parties with legends such as Alexander Robotnick and Arthur Baker, as well as stars like I-f, Adult, and Miss Kitten and the Hacker. Over the span of his eclectic discography, this Brooklyn-based DJ and music producer
has collaborated with Thugfucker's Holmar Filipsson as Filipsson & Ulysses as well as with John Selway in the prolific Neurotic Drum Band.

His release schedule has slowed a bit in the past few years as he's raised a family, but a visit to his basement studio to check out his archive of unreleased tracks proved that he has been very busy producing new work. These three tacks are our favorites of the bunch. This is fantastic music that speaks for itself, but Ulysses submitted three questions for this one sheet:

Celldöd is the solo project of Anders Karlsson, well known in the EBM scene for his involvement in the band The Pain Machinery and as a live member of Severe Illusion. Celldöd strips EBM down to it's core, eliminating vocals and any superfluous details. Celldöd offers a raw, minimal, and purist vision of EBM; hardware tracks recorded live to tape using just a handful of machines. Celldöd's bare bones dance cuts are dirty and primitive, but manage to steer clear of retro trappings, sounding fresh and contemporary.

June is the solo project of Tsampikos Fronas. "Dominion" is focused on June's synthwave sound, utilizing hardware step sequencers to sync and control his arsenal of classic drum machines and synthesizers. The romanticism and elegance of early '80s synth pop is clearly evident, not only in the production and instrumentation of the music, but in the artwork and song titles. the music on "Dominion" is driving, danceable synthwave that references the past while maintaining a thoroughly modern edge.

Collaboration project between Jauzas the Shining & Victoria Lukas featuring Ekman and Orgue Electronique. Lukas, drawing upon personal sensations, melds diary-like lyrics into dreamlike ambiance and textures, beautifully fusing with the infectious electro-pop grooves of Jauzas the Shining. Songs encapsulating lost love and longings for sensation, emotional stimulation and experiencing feelings through those of another are conveyed via vocal pieces, 'Cold Sweat' and 'Coral Eyes'. Ekman contributes a driving, acidic groove version of 'Cold Sweat' more apt for the dancefloor, while Orgue Electronique pushes the electronic pop vibes into house territory.

Born and raised in East Detroit, a diet of Prince, 80s R&B and techno provided the crucible for Jimmy Edgar's life in music. Ever precocious, from his mid-teens he was building his foundations as a DJ, playing at raves in the city alongside some of techno's founding fathers, as well as conducting ambitious experiments with rudimentary recording equipment, and by the age of just 18 he'd signed to the electronic music institution, Warp. Later recording for K7! and Hotflush, and advancing his considerable DJ talent during a spell residing in Berlin, in 2013 Jimmy established the Ultramajic imprint with fellow electronic auteur Aden, and it is fresh material from the label that provides the backbone for FABRICLIVE 79. "I went through a bunch of unreleased tracks we are going to put out on Ultramajic and decided to launch them with this mix. I got some exclusive material from my good friends Danny Daze, Crystal Bandito, and Kris Wadsworth. This mix is explores the different vibes of Ultramajic." Jimmy Edgar
Commencing with a nod to his hometown forebears, with Terrence Dixon and Patrice Scott contributing deep Detroit cuts to the opening minutes of the mix, we're soon reveling in a slew of unreleased Ultramajic material from Crystal Bandito and Jimmy himself, including a typically no-nonsense collaboration with LA native Truncate and the snare-driven 'Walk Show' featuring the deeply-missed Chicago footwork icon DJ Rashad. It's here that the many facets of Jimmy Edgar really shine through: DJ, producer, and label curator. The mix picks up an unmistakable strut, before momentarily taking a breath with Danny Daze's deep house blending unexpectedly into the ghetto-tech of DJ Godfather & DJ Starski. A pair of unyielding Kris Wadsworth cuts sandwich another Jimmy Edgar exclusive in the mix's final stretch, ensuring that, despite its author's nomadism through the years, the music of Detroit runs like a seam through FABRICLIVE 79.

Without a hint of hyperbole, Polygon Fane EP stands as Pixelord's ultimate manifesto: a testament to the internet and its unbounded nature, embedded within a smorgasbord of eccentric Bass. Returning to Infinite Machine with a vengeance, Hyperboloid boss Pixelord delivers his most compelling and mind-boggling release to-date. Over the course of 6 originals, the Russian pioneer unfurls a confounding display of versatility that stretches from ominous Breakbeats to wonky Club mutations to introspective Juke to cheeky cuts of 80s casio funk (dare we say meta-vaporwave). On this collaboration with Mark Ernestus, of Rhythm & Sound, Juan offers new ways of hearing the future utilizing sounds of the recent past. Dark Side displays exquisite techno, electro, and dub influences to create a seamless, inspiring piece of music. The percussive rhythms and dub-influenced tones and melodies meld together under Juan's vocals. If anyone's voice is right for techno, it is Magic Juan Atkins' telling us to free our minds and travel to other realities.

Ricardo Villalobos and Max Loderbauer expertly maintain the dub sounds of the original track. They extend the cut to more than double the length and transform Dark Side into a meditative track steeped in broken and staccato beats. Laying a foundation of looping rhythmic patterns from the original track, this remix adds distorted, hollow snare drums to create new rhythms. Dissonant tones, introduced midway through the track, hint at a new melody, making the track mindful and danceable at the same time.

With a sprawling discography that can be traced as far back as 2005, the last few years have found the Providence-based noise artist Ren Schofield shifting his attention towards his Container guise with increasing vigour, delivering full-length albums for Spectrum Spools and I Just Live Here, as well as an acclaimed EP for Rabih Beaini's much-lauded Morphine Records.
With Liberation Technologies having already exhibited the fiercely confrontational style of BMB,
and coaxed an EP of skewed electronics out of Vessel for 'Misery Is A Communicable Disease', the Adhesive is a natural fit for the imprints burgeoning canon.

As uncompromising as you'd expect, the four tracks on offer display the work of a producer working intuitively with the machines he surrounds himself with, a relentless pulse ever present at the core of these abrasive workouts.

On a cold rainy day in London, Tessela met up with Nozinja in a East London pub for a quick pint. They got on like a house on fire, swapping production techniques and notes from their drastically different approach to making electronic music. They ended up going back to Tessela's studio down the road for an impromptu recording session. What you hear now is the results...

Nozinja, of Shangaan Electro fame - who is currently prepping for his forthcoming full length album on Warp Records, wrote the original song and was asked by Bleep to collaborate with Tessela for this special one-off 12 release.

Tessela - the UK based producer gaining attention through skilfully blurring the boundaries between techno, jungle and fractured rhythmical structures through his incredible releases on R&S Records, Punch Drunk and of course his incredible break-out self-released track 'Hackney Parrot', jumped at the opportunity to work with the genre-pioneering South African producer.

The results are 2 superb renditions and arrangements of the infectiously catchy 'Wa Chacha'. 'Wa Chacha' by Nozinja / Tessela will be released by Bleep on 9th February on 12 vinyl and digital formats.

With an additional six tracks the CD release of "Talk To The Sea" delves deeper into the archives of Gigi Masin; taking two tracks from the album 'Wind' and presenting four previously unreleased tracks.
For their much anticipated second release Music From Memory take you into the world of Italian musician Gigi Masin. Part of only a small and very much underground music scene in his hometown of Venice, Gigi Masin self released two modestly pressed LP's 'Wind' (1986) and 'Wind Collector' (1991) and appeared along side Charles Hayward for the Sub Rosa compilation LP "Les Nouvelles Musiques De Chambre Volume 2" (1988). Having met with little commercial success in Italy at the time, Gigi Masin's solo albums remained for the most part totally unknown. His music has though in recent years, and seemingly by pure word of mouth, developed almost something of a cult following.

Gigi Masin's uniquely intricate and at times deeply emotive compositions take the listener into a realm of contemplation, a spellbound mind state where time and space appear to dissolve. His sparse and hypnotic often loop-based compositions seem to draw parallels with Detroit Techno's earliest beginnings, all at once conjuring those same feelings of both melancholic longing and ecstatic joy.

With access to Masin's large body of work, far greater than that of the handful of released recordings, Music From Memory's new compilation covers a period of over 30 years, from the early 1980's up until now. Including seventeen compositions, most of which have remained unreleased or unavailable until now, 'Talk To The Sea' aims to shine a light on Gigi Masin's unique and heartfelt talent. This is electronic music from the soul.

Subtext recordings presents the soundtrack by James Ginzburg and Yair Elazar Glotman produced for the collaborative installation "Nimbes", developed with Joanie Lemercier for the 360 degree dome in Montreal's SAT centre. The soundtrack, realised within the vast interior of Berlin's Kraftwerk power station, employs the cavernous reverb of the space in response to the video's encompassing narrative of scale, time and entropy. Centred around the use of contrabass and elemental percussion, the stark rendering of instrumental sound crafts an evocative portrait of this former industrial site, mapping an overarching texture onto the underlying acoustic compositions. The project draws parallels to Ginzburg's sonic spatial explorations within emptyset alongside Glotman's own forensic examinations of rhythm and tonality initiated through his work as Ketev, bringing the two into a formal dialogue through techniques of acoustic production. The release is accompanied by a remix from Eric Holm, reforming the material through his dense custom created signal chains, and a remix from Yair Elazar Glotman who extracts the essence of the original recording and sculpts it into an adeptly controlled vista of sound.

Violet Poison is the dark, enigmatic and esoteric side-project of Francesco Baudazzi, already known as Obtane, co-owner with Giorgio Gigli of the defunct techno label Zooloft.
The new project is focused on analogue proto-techno with influences from 70's Italian progressive bands like Goblin or OST composers like Fabio Frizzi and earlier Downwards records from 1994-1995.

Check his debut full lenght on HAR, after the releases for Vatican Shadow's labels (Hospital Productions and Bed of Nails), for his own label Violet Poison, for Repitch Recordings and a remix for Frozen Border. TIP

Beginning with tape experimentation, noise excursions and long-form drift and drone musics, Love Cult have steadily built up a discography based on decomposing and deconstructing. "KNOW EP" is the first vinyl statement that sees the Russian duo dive headlong into beat-forms and movement music.

Following their fog-covered debut LP on Public Information, Anya Kuts and Ivan Zoloto have swerved the spread-out spaciousness and primitive rhythm debris and reached for crucial, crude dub and techno templates. Ghostly remnants still pervade Know - Kuts' heavily-processed vocals are still in evidence - but with the adoption of distorted kick drums, off-kilter sub-basslines and compressed melodic strands, this Love Cult is more vital, more transformative. Recently the Karelian duo have coined the apt term «no tech», which stands for «northern technology».Terrifying opener Mise En Abyme is the bridge between older Love Cult and the new forms - massive, trawling chords barely contained by a rolling beat and cut-up vocals, like Sunn O))) lost in a lightless nightclub. My Boy breaks into an alternate-universe Garage rhythm, perverting the groove with ecclesiastical reverb drones and stabbing bass. The push and pull of Lust Undone, like a possessed drum machine transmitting the death rattle of the recently deceased, gives way to the closing, epic It's True. Perhaps the most straight-forward offering and undoubtedly one of Love Cult's strongest moments, It's True uses bass-bin shattering tones, quick-fire high hats and end-of-the-world noise injections to truly shatter the perceptions of the listener.

"Sunfighter" ist, nach "Der Klang der Familie", der zweite Release auf Mottes neuem Label "Praxxiz", der das Vierteljahrhundert ihres Schaffens reflektiert.

The highly promising Loopy opens its account with a double dose of disorientating, hypnotic botheration from NZ-er Oliver Peryman, ex of labels like Samurai Horo, Tri Angle and Exit. Both cuts are curtly compelling: SS is darting and hyper; Knecht more haunted, percussive.
On the flip, Kassem Mosse contributes some elastic, bubbling funk, with characteristic panache; and Oren Ambarchi settles in for twelve minutes of the frighteners.
An excellent EP. Watch out for Loopy.

Jesper Dahlback is one of Swedens leading DJs/ producers with a lengthy back catalogue to his name, including co-production on two Tiga albums, the Hugg and Pepp project with cousin John Dahlback, and remixes for the likes of Rex the Dog, Zoo Brazil, Arnaud Rebotini of Black Strobe, Thomas P Heckman, Robyn, The Knife, and Depeche Mode. Jesper has music in his genes, but it was the musical movements in Detroit, Berlin and London that inspired him to start producing techno, back in 1991 in his bedroom studio. Completely hooked, by 1993 he d formed the Stockholm-based Globe Studios together with Peter Benisch and Adam Beyer (following a chance meeting on the train to Love Parade) and has worked there ever since. In 1996 Jesper started the imprint, Blank, mainly for his own material, and simultaneously launched joint venture DK with Thomas Krome - one of the first labels in Sweden with a techno house crossover approach! In addition to making music for various techno labels around the world and working with Planet Rhythm, Jesper met up with Swiss-born Stephan Grieder who had just started the Svek label. The duo started to experiment with different sounds, drawing on house musics roots, utilising vocals and acoustic instruments. Jesper now describes his sound as >ranging between the analogue sounds of the roland sh101 and the precision mathematics of my computer. I m a researcher and developer of unheard sounds! Since the founding of Globe Studios, I have always been looking for new ways to bend the rules and test the unknown. When I DJ, I just play my own productions blending old classics with new unreleased demos.< A producer first and foremost, Jespers DJ dates find him weaving a soundscape of his productions, remixes and collaborations with new material at every gig, as well as musical elements and sounds worked through the set.

Third Ear drops five cuts from MGUN (Manuel Gonzales). Harsh and abrasive, aching and reflective by turns, the grainy sound of this music creates an aura all its own as the sounds resonate and reverberate against each other in deliberately unpredictable ways. Having first emerged on the Wild Oats release 'Laygo My Faygo' as part of NSNT PRJCT alongside Kyle Hall in 2010, Detroit's Manuel Gonzales has gradually found his own voice. 1-Extort is raw abrasive techno with subtle bass tunings and insistent skittering sonics rattling around the top of the soundscape. 2-Mean While inhabits the same environment but seems to be slightly removed from the havoc. Rather than the insistent banging of the Extort groove, the kick drum seems constantly to be about to fall over, while the skittering becomes a kind of compressed chattering. 3-Fiber is Detroit Electro at its finest but sounding scorched and on fire. 4-Mask sets up a kind of dread hauled over clanking insistent beats before remarkably morphing into a suspended beauty somehow deferred, by only subtly changing the arrangement or the sounds used. 5-Taft is a version of Fiber, more dazzling and more assured, but like most of these tracks is cut off mercilessly and with brutal delay destroying the groove without any warning for the hapless DJ not paying attention.

Virginia first saw light on Ostgut Ton featuring on Steffi's now infamous 'Yours & Mine' album, her distinctive and powerful vocals shining through on lead track 'Yours' in particular.

Now Virginia releases her first solo 12'' for the label, featuring 4 tactile, pushing and lovingly produced tracks, exploring some of the different zones that she explores while DJing. A DJ for many years, with her roots in the Munich scene, Virginia is now a resident at Panorama Bar, and continues to bring her soulful, expressive sound to clubs around the world, often layering live vocals over tracks as she plays. 'Neurosis' is a playful, uplifting night-time jacker, setting the tone with its warm and precise analog sound set, set off with sharp stabs and curious vocal cuts. This leads into 'Shifter', a more sinister, pacy cut with clear Detroit references - a snaking arpeggiated synth line telling a colourful story. Breaking into some glorious first-wave electro styled beats, 'Loch & Hill' is a moody atmosphere-setter. An ensemble of beautifully produced synths and classic percussion melt in a moment of harmony and hypnosis.

Virginia then completes the EP with the wonderful 'Tangish', an infectious vocal-led song that flows naturally and elegantly with its classic Chicago style arrangement and lack of pretense. Upfront music with heart, clarity and longevity!

the label say" Løt.te is Mehmet Irdel, a Turkish-born artist who has been a friend of The Bunker for a
long time. He's currently based in Brooklyn, where he co-runs Rote Productions, a company that releases music, graphic works, video compositions, and photography,
and takes a strong stance against the concept of intellectual property.
Irdel's early work consisted of soundscapes, noise, and power electronics.

Now, he'strying his hand at techno, with incredible results. The music of Løt.te is far more intricate than the looser, darker work he's known for under Rote Productions. The Løt.te project favors a more natural, analog feel; Irdel was disillusioned with the
recognizably digital sound of computers and software that's so prevalent in current electronic music.
We were deeply struck by the first two tracks he sent us, and decided to just roll with them, so that's what you get here. 'Pressure Chant' has immense energy and a
Surgeon-like shuffle that is just begging to be deployed for dancefloor use. On the flip side, "Private Transgressions" juxtaposes a dark, cinematic mood with a dubby bassline and synth stabs.

Irdel is also a prolific visual artist and designer, in addition to his work as a producer; he creates most of the graphic design and artwork for Rote Productions, and his art inspires his music.

Christopher Scott Leary aka Ochre is someone who has established himself via his own means, namely his own bandcamp page, as well as on labels like Baselogic, Toytronic, with a stunning LP in 2004, Benbecula. As such, Dutch label Shipwrec have snapped him up for a fantastic new EP that showcases his style, which touches on ambient and downtempo as well as lushly melodic electronica, in all its glory. Like the last release, this vinyl comes lovingly prepared with a special sleeve designed by Nathaniel Reeves and is the sort of thing those who admire Boards of Canada will need in their collections. Up first on this EP is 'Paper Unicorn,' a grandiose bit of classically informed ambient made from glassy tinkles, sweeping synths and heavenly pads. 'Ark of Comfort' is a more charming bit of music, littered with synths and pads, chords and piano keys that all glow and glisten. 'Hivernal' is again a clean and crisp combination of digital sounds and synthetic textures that lurch and stretch in many directions at once. It fires your every synapse and 'Infinite Bookends' then gets all sombre insular and sensitive, with lots of open space and heavenly musical progressions.'Glassmaker ' is the most danceable cut here, with fierce drums, many layers of interlocked synths and then a Roel Funcken remix repurposes the thing as a dishevelled, broken and distorted bit of angry sound design. Fans of abstract otherworldly sound and digital textures will find lots to love here.
