A sound film is a motion picture with synchronized sounding elements, technologically coupled to image, as opposed to a silent film. The first known public exhibition of projected sound films took place in Paris in 1900. The idea of combining motion pictures with recorded sound is nearly as old as the concept of cinema itself. In the early 1930s it became a global phenomenon.

In Febuary 2014 Martin Books comes up with his new album "LIVE". It's gonna be released as a double vinyl and digital download as well via - Style Rockets'. This record certainly lives up to the label's name.

In his usual nonchalant style, you can expect deep driving arrangements. Through the precisely applied sub-basses and the unobtrusive synth pads, a first class sound-performance is guaranteed.

"LIVE" doesn't shine only through suitable club rave sounds like "7 Days".
We can be sure that playful tracks such as "Panic Jack" or "Wake Up" will accompany us to the open-air season. Co-responsible for this are the skillfully interwoven vocals, which serve both as grounding melodic elements and staccato-rhythmic sample-whips.

The album features many label mates and companions from Berlin, such as Kotelett & Zadak, René Bourgeois, Drauf & Dran and Pierre Deutschmann. Even a Mexican joins the league of the extraordinary dance floor matadors. Alex Young, known for his hit - Sol", also contributes a remix. In return, Martin is going to put his version of "Sol" onto the vinyl edition to be released in 2014.

Without a doubt, - LIVE' a well assembled album is at hand. It'll make sure there is always enough peak time gas. A logical consequence of his previous stuff and Martins work on the Minus Compilation 2013.

RUIS is a new limited vinyl only label of Ruiskamer, a record shop near by Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Founded by the guys of KARTON Label. 180 gram hand stamped record with a limited number of copies, a very special EP by Kashawar.

Label now he release the second match of the color collection. "Total Red"
is a cynically, metallic thick groove that get´s dark and powerfull
straight to the floor. Incl. remixes from Octave (Silent Steps, "Nachtstrom
Schallplatten) & James Unk (Less is More, Frucht)."

Limited Series is back with an explosive duo!
Pheek do his first appearance on SIC joining Hubble into the EEBB project.

PINS AND NEEDLES are proud to present to you FABIO VICTOR & AUDIOTHEQUE - HEGEMONIE incl. remixes from P. JONES and OSHANA. After FABIO VICTOR's successful first release on Pins and Needles last year, the Romanian DJ and Producer returns to the label with two amazing original mixes in collaboration with AUDIOTHEQUE. HEGEMONIE and SUSPANS are productions mastered for the dancefloor with cleverly arranged percussion patterns, though beats and big synth layers. Dutch talent P. JONES and New York based OSHANA both added their own musical touches to their remixes which perfectly round up this wonderful release. It is all about grooves, chunky beats and the right amount of melodic and quirky sounds.

'Fabio Victor & Audiotheque - Hegemonie' - All music Produced, Engineered and Mixed by Fabio Victor & Audiotheque. Remixed by P. Jones and Oshana. All tracks mastered at Harcourt Studios.

Krasnodar, located around 1500km due south of Moscow is where Aleksander Tochilkin (Kott) calls home. From this city, deep in the south of the giant Russian state, Kott crafts and creates even deeper cuts of house music.

This, his debut EP for Italian imprint Dabit, is made up of three original tracks and remix by Dave Scott. "Physics" is firmly rooted in the classic house ethos, chopped vocals and glorious strings build an impressive backdrop for the swinging hats and off beat snares. It's hard to listen to this track without thinking about the sun.

Next up is Dave Scott's remix of 'Physics'. From the outset the remix is a much more expansive take on the original. Retaining the strings from the Kott version and bringing them right up in the mix. Scott manages to continually build the track, releasing the tension just at the right moments.

The first track on the flip side entitled 'Buddha My Father' lulls you in over a long intro. Throbbing synths are juxtaposed with the sound of birds singing their dawn chorus culminating with a drop that should please techno and house heads equally.

Last up on the EP, we have "Flotyl". A track which indulges Kott's more experimental tendencies and drops the heart rate of the EP a notch or two. Dubbed synth stabs roll across the track whilst glassy keys highlight the peaks and troughs, all the while the shuffling percussion and drums keep the groove locked and smooth.

So macht Zuschauen, Zuhören, Tanzen Spaß.

We always treat family affairs with greatest care. You just don't know where this all ends ....most likely in shaking your head in disbelief.
Yet, In the case of siblings Lysann and Gunnar Zander we have thrown all doubts overboard. By no means in at the deep end given that both of them have been making music together their whole lives: acoustic, electronic, in the depths of soul and jazz, or in the wide world of the dance floor.
Stereofysh are interplay and compromise, counter pole and unity; creative duo because they also make music independently.
Their live performance allows the audience to become part of their family affairs. Lysann connects occurrences on- and off-stage without artificial distance, playful in the expression of their music. Gunnar, initially in the background, works the clickety-clacks until—in the course of their show and in mutual connection with his sister—he too comes to the fore and gets in close touch with the audience. This is how listening, watching, and dancing becomes the most fun.
With their debut EP, Stereofysh offer a piece of music that sounds like a mixture of house, dub, jazz, and pop may sound: beautiful and different, familiar and original at the same time. Not for nothing did jazz-pianist-legend Brad Mehldau give his personal consent to Stereofysh sampling his music (- Mehlgrau').
Well, Lebensfreude is looking very forward to Stereofysh. We wannado it. Open up chapter ONE, together.

'Yha Neth Ep'

The Swiss label Fine Food Records is ready to serve it's 4th, 5-star gourmet dish,YHA NETH EP,
on a golden platter. Featuring customary cutting edge sounds concocted by 4 of the most masterful
Chefs you have ever heard cook, this mouthwatering menu consist of 2 sublime original tracks by
fresh-sounding duo, Thomas T & Anish and 2 remixes, re-spiced desserts for the Grande finale
HOMME by Swiss artist Luca Torre and YHA NETH by the lovely, French Kane Roth. This is interna-
tional cuisine at its best to be savored with only the finest wine and company.

Thomas T & Anish - YHA NETH - Original
The rhythm of YHA NETH is as menacing and as dangerous as drummers drumming with
sticks of live dynamite with a very short fuse. Fortunately this track is also blessed with a
mature undulating throb and a groovy baseline worth the name, which attempts, as heroes
usually insist on doing, to save the day. Fat melodies and grave voices counter pulsate be-
tween each beat, creating friction & sparks which could, at any minute, ignite the fuses and
blow all to Hell and Kingdom come. Tension is masterfully controlled at it's tightest. Sirens,
wailing warning all to get to the nearest bomb-shelter to take cover — but the dancers,
mesmerized, are incapable of moving away from the dangers of the dance-floor to safety.

Thomas T & Anish - YHA NETH - Kane Roth — REMIX
Kane Roth has been producing since 2006 and is, without doubt, currently one of the most
fructiferous artists in France. This somewhat masculine remix of YHA NETH is powerful, per-
cussive and assertive. The massive relentlessness in the baseline is not only uncompromising
but unapologetic to beat and reveals handsome traits such as ambition, pride, honor, com-
petitiveness and a sense of adventure — perfect pheromones to drive anyone into a dance
floor frenzy. So valiant is the track that, in fact, if one doesn't pay close attention to the
dainty, tell-tale signs, one will be willfully tricked into imagining that this creative artist actu-
ally has a beard , hairy chest and and a baritone voice. Binary gender trickery I warn! With-
out the intricate soundscapes embroidered into the silky melody, one would never have
doubted that Kane Roth is a she! As curvy, and sexy a she as can be, her 'ballsy," no-
nonsense attitude exudes confidence... what more could a frenzied dance floor want

Thomas T & Anish - HOMME - Original
HOMME is like a fiercely growling fauve, as free and wild as only big cats can get. Ready to
hiss, spit and scratch. Thomas T & Anish first unleash this nasty beast and then duly set out
to artfully tame the savage, unruly reverberation. Never using a whip to beat rhythm into the
animal, they adopt a more subtle, elegant manner of hypnotizing it with a sexy, sensually
mesmerizing voice. Slowly but surely they entice the reverb to lessen into a mere echo which
finally ebbs gracefully away into the faintest of vibrations. The growls, as regular as a metro-
nome, give way to a deep and sonorous purring. A groovy, almost sloppy baseline underlines
organic warmth and well being. The once-tiger-now-kitty-cat greets you at the door and de-
mands a pat and scratch.

Thomas T & Anish - HOMME - Luca Torre - REMIX
Samuel Severino aka Luca Torre, the prodigal son, has mastered a minimally elegant yet
subtle twist to Thomas T & Anish's HOMME, rendering it sonorously slow and lazy at first.
The surprise is in the sudden change of cadence, a note of urgency is painstakingly crafted
into each element, expertly transforming the atmosphere, as if pressure was being applied
(to the pure delight of the enchanted dance floor). As the track evolves, the hypnotic voices
which seemed lighter and airier also take on a more insistent tonality. Dark piano notes
which appear to be scattered nonchalantly here and there, succeed wonderfully in holding
the melody together ever so loosely actually weave the track into one.

Fresh new summer collection by the Ton liebt Klang Family. An absolutely must have this summer.

Head And Feet are the three artists vika, Vladimir Erdber, Vlad Macar based in Belgrade; multiplying in their first release HAF001, making the spectrum of electronic sound that feeds your head and moves your feet.

Titled Alcatraz", André Galluzzi releases a pulsating symbiosis of intense snapshots from excessive clubnights and deeply pervasive soundscapes. On powerful wings and with full range, Alcatraz' glides through the various spheres of this planet called Techno. With each beat, every snare and bassline, André Galluzzi is fascinating mind, body and soul. Similar to his live-sets the debut album has a captivating conceptual build, gaining speed and intensity steadily, and turning the world upside down for a moment. Alcatraz' delivers a colourful and multifaceted blend of driving grooves and hypnotic beat-combinations, where Galluzzi drapes his listeners in distinctive analog warmth. Inspired by occult sounds and psychedelic vocals, the album floats easily through the Technocosmos, overleaping stylistic boundaries and returning just as swiftly to its starting point. The always foregrounded percussive puls of Alcatraz' seems created equivalent to Galluzzi's own heart rate and gives the whole disc congenial and tangible authenticity. Tracks like Mathilda' or Alcatraz' are raising the endorphin levels just by their sheer love for detail and the enchanting arrangements. And with Bombetta' you have a stunningly massive heavyweight of a tune coming through the speakers. Full bass and a conquering build are shaking up the synapses. André Galluzzi shapes gently blending synth-landscapes. Tracks like Hand Has Been On It' and Ferry You' create mystic oases, that provide time and space to exhale and slow down. Without any doubt, Galluzzi is letting you feel the full range of his love for music, far away from any conventions.

Vinyl Only. The 4th release from Tokyo based Cabaret Recordings. Ivan aka U-More gives 3 hypnotic
minimal groovy tracks for all the House & Techno Lovers.
