Techno Vinyl New Releases - News

After Dorisburg's hypnotic journey we give you the return of Genius of Time! A-side Gliese 581g is an analogue tribute and journey to the newfound planet in the Gliese star system, far, far away.

First up we have the talented: Kryss Hypnowave (ATT Series / Planet Rhythm / PAR Recordings) including a sublime remix from one of the UK's finest artists Edit Select

Endosphora: Complexity and power in a frantic, polyrhythmic acid bass line, insistent tribal percussion and a thin layer of atmospheric menace with a foundation of wide earth-shaking beats.

Eksosporium: Epic in every sense, a floating, evolving synth leads the way through an immersive higher dimension, where time is measured in a steady, powerful rhythm, yet never passes.

Endosphora (Edit Select Remix): A balanced composite of power and restraint, threat and beauty, this rework weaves a hypnotised path through layers of dense atmosphere via the bubbling, deadly bass line.

Sobriquet Records launches with the Japanese duo Liieberman and their EP The Things You Do To Me,accompanied by a Sinob Satosi Remix on the track the EP takes it name from.

First of all, Little Hado is a person with great passion for quality sounds. Starting with year 2008, his passion rapidly became a burning desire to learn how to play and produce music.

From then on, in just one year he was invited to play at various parties - his first party was at an After Hours at Mash-up Club in Bucharest - thus gaining more experience and getting to know how and what can make a person smoothly move on the dancefloor.

Always open to new ideas and in continuos research for better sounds, his musical style ranges from house to techno and even experimental.

After the last Vinyl Release in 2009, Soap Records now welcomes the 12" lovers with a new blasting four track Ep.
The Maxi features on the A Side the Track ,,Pending" by Mikel, from which we already heard of on labels like Plastic City, Grove on and also Soap records. The track has a remarkable Glower and a bassline just fitting for the coming Winter. Almost unnecessary to mention that with the break, the dancefloor begins to escalate. Furthermore with a remix from Markus Fix we look forward to a artist which we already know through huge releases on Cecille and Cocoon Records. With his special Interpretation he brings it to finish with Hit-Potential.
Even if a track is still actual after 15 years, one should still re-publish it. No quote, much more a Statement which fits perfect with the EP, which we are handling with here. Mushrooms still sounds not a bit old fashioned, even after that long time.
Therefore on the B Side as a Re release the Meat vs Einzelkind Remix which already received a lot of remarks in 2008.
Meat is known as one of the owners of the Disclabel Freebase in Frankfurt, who also made his name with releases on Moonharbour and Souvenir. Together with Einzelkind he published many succesfull EP´s for Get Physical Music.
The project Einzelkind on his own has also releases on Playhouse and Kindisch. In their remix they first deconstruct the spoken Vocals and build up a stand-alone baseline with effectice Ride usage. The vocals get going after the middle of the track. This develops a remarkable Charme on its own. For the finish of the whole Labelchief Toni Rios, known through releases on Cocoon rec, Kompakt and Kling Klong, just to mention a few, and Chris Wood, known as Co-Producer and partner of Meat with releases on Moonharbour and Souvenir, coming through with the Track ,,Inception". A deep, groovy and straight-House-Stomper, which brings a great EP to a even greater finish.

Early May will see Mihai Popoviciu return with his second long player in the shape of the 'Home' LP on Bondage music, comprising twelve original compositions from the Romanian artist.

Mihai Popoviciu : "The album's called "home" because it is inspired by my experiences from my home city Sibiu in Romania. Home is also the place where the album was produced, in my stripped down studio. It is where I always return to rest and chill after touring the world and the place where I feel most safe and comfortable. The artwork shows an image of the airport lane in Sibiu with surrounding hills and mountains in the back. It is a metaphoric "gate" to both leave and return home."

Romania's Mihai Popoviciu has carved out quite the career over the past decade releasing material through the likes of Highgrade, Hudd Traxx, Poker Flat and Fear of Flying. Here though we see him deliver his second full-length album and return to Bondage Music following a single on the label back in
2013.

Across the project Mihai delivers his signature dance floor focused, stripped back style with records like 'ACK', 'Sandstone Folder' and 'Tentacle Operated' showcasing the hypnotic and percussive style
Popoviciu executes so well. The project also drifts into smooth dubby realms via compositions like 'Cannon Poets' and 'Sunshine' while the likes of 'Triumph' and 'Music 999' radiantly display Mihai's proficient production abilities as he wanders into a brighter more house centric sound.

All in all Mihai Popoviciu turns in a coherent long player whilst exploring a broad range of styles, 'Focus and 'Havana' lay down a groove-led feel with subtle modulations and an unfaltering structure, while 'Data On Data', 'Paranoia' and 'Hypnosia' tip the focus over to dark and brooding territories with murky synth pads and chuggy low end tones. Once again Popoviciu has proven himself to be one of Romania's finest electronic music exports.

Veränderung Ep is the first release of Forbidden Behaviours, new label signed Gabriele Carasco,a well known Producer and Sound Engineer at the Code Studio based in Berlin.
We could listen to him in his previous releases on Fasten Musique and Round Qube Musik and now with his own Label he introduces its minimal deep sound connected with his roots in classical piano and composition. The result is a unique grooving sound, turning into a warm ipnotic dimension

The Berlin-based label 'Forbidden Behaviours' welcomes aboard the romanian talent Zefzeed which has previously released on labels such as All Inn, BodyParts, Untold Stories just to name a few. The EP is composed by three tracks that showcase perfectly the refined ears and tastes of the artist. This is a must for any serious vinyl pusher! Don't sleep on this one..

EMBI Music presents the next Limited vinyl. With the new EMBI Artist Vorosh from Russia, we do not shoot with live
ammunition but with really good music. Warm beats with a mixture of DUB and Deep Tech the artist Anton Voroshilov
is developing his entire musical strength. It was not difficult to win a remixer such as SOMEONE ELSE.
Together with the other strong remix of Mikhail Kobzar, this EP is a must-have
for any Recordcase.

Besides big Berlin, the international techno and house mega hub there is still the vital and hyperactive Frankfurt music scene that doesn't stop delivering new quality material. Much smaller and not so easy jet flooded Frankfurt is still one of the German hot spots when it comes to good electronic music. Producers like Christian Burkhart, Einzelkind, Reboot and of course our man of the moment, Markus Fix are just a few names of the fine Frankfurt club music scene. With releases on cocoon recordings and his residency at infamous cocoonclub frankfurt, Markus Fix is far more than an established techno artist. His hi-class equipped studio and his production skills are the result of more than 20 years of experience in the music and club biz.

We are proud to present the second edition of Atrakt Recordings featuring three brandnew tunes by Markus Fix. "It's over" on the a-side is built on a fine beat structure with a cool minimal house touch that keeps on rolling and rolling. You won't find catchy breaks in here nor hands-up in the air hook lines but sexy grooves and a deep techno vibe - and most important to us: This one makes you move!.

"Fackel im Wurm" on B1 takes us even deeper into the minimal techno and house heaven. Fix adds some cool experimental sounds to this one and strips down the beat structure to an almost Villalobos like minimal-hypno-house-tune.

With "Inner Grippe" (inner flu) on B2 Fix introduces a cool and sexy jazz vibe to our package. It is of course not the track for the peaktime of the night but we fancy this one the most as it simply is soooo sexy. This is the kind of sound we see our selves floating away on the floor and becoming one with the vibe of the night. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Markus Fix and this is Atrakt Recordings 002!

Straight AHEAD Music presenting their eighth vinyl release from Origins Sound.

Thanks to Origins Sound for keeping their tracks to SASCHA SONIDO´s label Straight AHEAD MUSIC.

Simodul EP is no less challenging to its listeners' comprehension abilities than the previous Moment Records releases.Adventuring into the electronic mystic lands is Vincentiulian, who tames the analog machines in his own twisted way into 2 carefully crafted tunes. Simodul on Side A exploits the whining oscillators to drive the audience into the energy of the simple yet hypnotizing kick. Flipping the record we find Alpha, enlighting our spirits with its wobbly bassline, entangled within radiant strobes of pensive rhythms. Simodul EP comes in line with the first Moment releases, carving new paths into the darker corners of tech house.

Ändrewvelt completes his musical puzzle .

Roush warmly invites Jamie Trench to the vinyl series with Take A Peek' EP that follows our winning formula: two original mixes and two remixes by different artists. The UK producer has developed a characteristic vibrant groove and hard percussion that you´ll find in Take a Peek and It Never Stops. On the remixing side we gathered two of the strongest figures in the French underground scene: Chris Carrier and Mr KS The first name shouln´t need to be introduced as long as he has been developing a monstrously huge catalogue during the past decades. He is guilty of the reinterpretation of B side adding muscle to the bassline and providing the track with a hypnotic sound, perfect to rise any club temperature.
Mr KS is a talented producer part of the new wave of young artists who are setting fire again the French clubs. That synth based striking chord will really blow your ears, but if you don´t trust us, you just need to take a peek!

UK techno founders B12 return! The duo's history famously started in the early 90's with their music appearing under a plethora of monikers under the "B12 Records" umbrella - 12" vinyl with notorious cryptic messages engraved in the run-out grooves, before being collected into album form and release on Warp. After a hiatus in the late 90's, the pair resurfaced briefly for some live shows, a flurry of hugely sought-after 12"s and a 7-part CD anthology. They then abruptly disappeared again - this is their first appearance in 5 years, fittingly on Glaswegian imprint Soma. (Their seminal Warp Records album was named Electro Soma...is there a connection) The Bokide 325 EP Is it a planet to be explored, or the journey through a personal hell Only a few know for sure but at the end of this voyage expressed in the best way B12 know how, layers of sounds, beats, synths, lush pads, and seductive melodies the hope of a whole new reality is reached. It conjures up foreboding, planetary soundscapes - rooted in the more ambient, filmic side of their output, is it a reflection of recent turmoil within/ the artists personal lives The EP opens with "Into the Void", whose simple but emotive synth line weaves its way across a variety of beats and sounds, and takes the listener into the depths where the true journey can commence. Onwards, darker and more mysterious notes loom up throughout "Descension" and "Unsound Mind", with pounding bass throbbing underneath, leading further into the world of shadows where the alarming awareness that something isn't quite right never truly leaves you. It concludes with Terra Incognita, the final track of the EP - an unknown place, left to be discovered and completed by the listener.

Through the years, Dragosh has established a solid following for his quality releases like his recent appearance on the Fabric mix series compilation mixed by no less than arpiar's Rhadoo.

'Teoria' is a finely crafted EP of four tracks where intricate rhythms coalesces with synth pads and textures to create mystic atmospheres. The last touch is given by another talented romanian artist like Priku, who reconstructed 'Didiracrac' giving it his typical sound signature.

We are moving forward with new sounds this summer, and are happy to shed some light on our '4Plae Blanc' project. This series is geared towards slightly lighter vibes, and 001 will really set the tone for what is to come.

Hailing from the city of Bucharest, Nice ' N Trick have been earning their stripes over the past couple of years, which includes having works on labels such as Mulen, Heisenberg, Arupa, Baile Musik, Tzinah and many more. Their track 'Adiacent' delivers the vibrant sounds we love, brought together with tight percussion and warm soundscapes.

Another gem from Bucharest has contributed to 4PLVB001. Direkt has become a good friend of the label and we are extremely happy and proud to have him on board this release. 'Caries' is a bouncy and atmospheric track that delivers a solid analog sound - another factor we feel passionate about. No doubt this wont be the last you hear from Direkt in coming months...

Percival is also an analog head. This Detroit artist has bundles of musical knowledge and a love for many types of music. His track 'All Night' is a vocal orientated track with crisp hats and snares, and a pounding kick throughout - we love the mood this track set's at parties.

In the past few months, 4Plae founder ADMNTi and head honcho at Samani - F.eht, have formed a collective, FAT. Their remix of Percival's track sets a moodier vibe in comparison to the original, and wraps up the release nicely with evolving synths and techier sounds.
