Modern Love with 'Luxury Problems', an 8 track album of new material recorded over the last 12 months. Five of the tracks
on the album feature the voice of Alison Skidmore, Andy's onetime Piano teacher whom he hadnt seen since he was a
teenager back in 1996. There was no grand gesture in mind, it just sort of happened - but after almost a year of studio work
the result is really quite unlike anything you'll have heard from him before.

Dino´s productions always deliver exactly our vision of music; deep, hypnotic, atmospheric and mind-driven. With this second release on Blueform the artist Random Audio goes much more into mystic space post-futuristic sounds - as known from another great artist of this kind of techno. Starting with "Objects" Random Audio builds a whole scene of the slow arrival of those unidentified flying objects using a counter-rotating rhythm moving exact like the lights of these objects. "Signal to Mysterious" goes really deep into sophisticated bleeping chimes for messaging to and from an unknown life-form. This track is followed up by a matching one - "Indicator" - but this one has a much slower and darker theme with light pads plus hissing sounds and slow broken beats. Somehow different is "Calculation" - an uplifting, bubbling and pumping rhythmic stomper. And finally "The Ensemble" comes with varying percussive drums and string sounds building themselves up again and again - only broken up by a short smooth part of beeping, string and pad sounds.

Subforms are two young Ukrainian artists: Yevgeny Konovalov and Dmitry Oleynik. Having already published their work across several European territories - and even as far afield as Argentina - the duo maintains a clear - and explicit - commitment to minimalist fabrics. In other words, silence comes to the aid of resonant, dubby structures. The less a soundscape is mapped out with human endeavor, the more it is surrendered to emptiness - and therefore to potentials.

Recorded in Berlin over the last few months, The Observer At The Starhouse sparks with a rare magic as Dr Alex Paterson and long-time Orb member Thomas Fehlmann construct a panorama of stripped-down backdrops to provide the perfect backdrops for the Upsetter's inimitable pronouncements, righteous declarations and sweet vocals.
The Orb have long been known for their assimilation of deepest dub into their stratospheric sonic innovations, as evidenced on U.F. Orb's Towers Of Dub, itself something of a Lee Perry tribute with its sound effects and distinctive underlying eccentricity. Starting in the late 60s with the Upsetters, Perry wrote the book on Jamaican mixing desk trickery, then constantly ripped it up to create new aural blueprints for the music via his Black Ark productions of the following decade, since then charting a waywardly idiosyncratic path which has ensured legions of followers absorbing his every move.

Ornamented Walls' is the most intense, brutal and, in many senses, most substantial work from Dominick Fernow's Vatican Shadow project yet. Released to coincide with his first tour of Europe, the album incorporates the live mix rehearsals of 'Operation Neptune Spear' with tracks made in their aftermath, recorded straight to tape and mastered by Matt Colton at Air Studios.
Anyone familiar with Fernow's live setup will recognise the distinct nature of this material - making use of stems and partial tracks separated into a cassette system which is then relayered and mixed, effected with electronic processing.
In short - Fernow uses his tape machines like turntables in a mix, weaving a hazy and intuitive narrative of sounds that never quite head in the direction you expect, all imbued with an almost feral attitude that's exhilarating to witness, their limitations (ever noticed how VS tracks end so abruptly the tape ran out), and their mechanical machine qualities used to devastating effect.
Side A features all three parts of 'Operation Neptune Spear' originally made available in a measly edition of 17 cassettes and sold at the first ever Vatican Shadow live show in L.A. back in May this year.
Side B features an additional 25 minutes of previously unreleased work made in the aftermath of the show and using the same setup, including an astonishing revision of 'Cairo Is A Haunted City' dis-assembled and re-wired, lending it a shortwave quality that's nothing short of revelatory.
'Ornamented Walls' is the fourth Vatican Shadow release to be made avilable on Vinyl, following on from releases for Blackest Ever Black, Type and his own Bed of Nails imprint.

Definition of Japanese deep electronic music, Pan records yet again compiled the various artist EP with full of surprises. As opposed to previous releases, ambient is the word to describe this forthcoming EP, not forgetting its deepness lies within. Sven Weisemann from Berlin is making his debut to Pan, showing much love for the label. Dynamic and elaborative wave of sounds, together makes continuous teasing build up throughout. He will be only the second non-Japanese artist to be appeared on this label. Imugem Orihasam provides A2 & B2 to Pan04. He is based in Hokkaido, famously known for their local club, Precious Hall. This rising Japanese producer yet again shows what he is capable of after his recent releases from Sistrum and New Kanada to name a few. A2 - Hellucination is really hypnotic enough to make you have illusory perception. Subtle progression of the track draws you into the world of deepness. B2 - Nek Noyujin is just perfect for closer, not only to this EP but however hectic the night might be. Illustrate his versatility in a best way possible. 3rd one to join the compilation is Ryo Murakami, the owner of pan records, alongside with DJ Pi-Ge. He showed the direction of the label with Pan00 & Pan01. This track makes you feel as if you are lost in the misty forest, natural sounding synth makes up the character of the track. He provided quality to this his yet again. These three makes a must have compilation, another one for your be loved record bag.

There are some artists who lock themselves up in the studio to be able to really express their art in producing electronic music. Ken Karter is one of these artists. In this second EP you can understand how much talent, ingenuity and experience can be hidden in a life of 'encryption'. Here he shows four tracks where he goes from pure electronic music to the most advanced and sophisticated techno. Remarkable is the track that is featured by the singer FeX. High quality!

Italian label OUT-ER returns with a superb new EP from DJ/producer Alessandro Stefanio aka Buck featuring 4 tracks of deep and dubby techno Southern Italian record label OUT-ER, or Outelectronic Recordings to give it its full name, has rapidly established itself as a new bastion for quality electronic music with its superb singles to date from some of Italy's finest, including The Analogue Cops, Luciano Esse and Santorini. Now the imprint looks to another Italian production heavyweight Alessandro Stefanio AKA Buck for it's latest release 'The JVSB EP'. Buck has been releasing quality techno for the last 5 years with labels such as Safari Numerique, Alphahouse, Little Helpers & Motivbank. As a DJ he established himself playing at Italy's key clubs before taking his sets to the world at venues such as Watergate, Weekend, Tresor & Club der Visionaere. In 2011, along with a group of close friends he launched the OUT-ER label.
'The JVSB EP' kicks off with the nattily titled 'STFLSN78/M0', a deep, rolling machine groove with a clear Detroit / Basic Channel influence. Heavily delayed stabs and skittering percussion ride alongside understated melodic elements to create a hypnotic and trippy track that is truly sublime. The second A- side track '18978##' takes things down a slightly tougher and more stripped road and delivers a record that is certain to twist heads in the early hours.
The B-side kicks of with 'JREVENGE' a unique sounding record that manages to fuse elements of techno, old school house and broken beats to superb effect. This is an instant winner that is certain to have appeal across musical genres. Finally we have 'A New Session' which sees Buck drop an intense synth laden groove over tough rolling drums and bass, quality stuff.
Italy has a strong and ever evolving techno scene with some highly respected labels, but it has to be said there is something very unique about the approach of OUT-ER and with just 6 releases under their belt they are already a label not to be ignored.

Craig McWhinney is a Melbourne based DJ, producer and live artist. Beginning his techno explorations behind the decks in 2000, his transition to the studio has been swift and fruitful. A string of releases on his own label Haul Music which he co-founded in 2008 with friends Mike Callander and Christian Vance, are now being backed up with remixes and EPs for Speedy J's Electric Deluxe, and Brendon Moeller's Steadfast records.

It's just a year since the release of Grey Fades to Green, and we are now talking about Oscar Mulero's new album: Black propaganda.

9 brand new tracks that reflect a new twist in his sound, going deep into dark territories; a black and white approach to dance electronics, where shades and echoes and drones are mixed with obscure rhythm treatments that go from slow tempos to more uplifting beats.

Sonically speaking, his sound has become simpler, with less elements but better sound design. Less is more.

All tracks have a common feeling, like a soundtrack for a sad European landscape: mental, industrial, repetitive and definitely non-melodic. Do not expect any of the rich harmonies of the previous album, because this one is more about the texture and the feeling.

'The dirt' is a sweeping intro with digital noises, atmospheres, subbass drones and a seminal hi hat movement at the end.

'Instant widespread of the dirt' starts the motion: slow BPM range, reverberated beats, and a liquid feeling. As the arrangement goes on, rhythmical elements are added which increase the tension, while drones come back and forth.

'Introducing errors' follows perfectly from the previous track. Its drums are more diverse, yet they keep the liquid tones but with more harshness; again, different types of drones and sound details are spread on top of the beat, creating an hypnotic feeling.

'Disinformation' leaves tranquillity aside. The kick is fat, broken into the pattern, hats become sharp, drones go high, and percussive synth sounds shuffle all over the track.

'Convince for the untruth' is a proper techno workout: concrete kicks, flanged synth lines, tons of reverb, discipline and repetition. Drones are again part of the screen, appearing from the break and moving and mutating till the end comes.

'Intentionally false' goes bleepy with sinoidal bass and high synth sequences. 808 high hats and a clear approach, now drones are out. Let's explore the metallic.

'Inaccurate information' is a Sci Fi influenced work with crazy bell-like sequences, basic drum work and classic 909 workout for a spacey feeling.

'False statements' keeps the spirit of the album: dark, grey, but hard and funky. A few sonic ingredients, a solid beat, a clever arrangement... And let yourself go.

'Black propaganda' acts as an outro, as the first track; digital landscapes, drones, space effects and abstract noise.

Finally, here comes the next special goody on Müller Records! After Hawkinson published his first longplayer on this Berlin cult label, now in addition there comes 3 fantastic 'KLAF' remixes, nice remixes by he King of Techhouse mister FunkDvoid himself , bill youngman and steinmüller .

VID is a new project by Romanian young talent Sorin Rastoaca who mainly has released techno and house as EGAL 3 in the last few years. Here he teams up with his friend, the CircoLoco Monday night resident Andrew Grant for some refreshing beats. EGAL 3 (Baracca Music) has collaborated with Livio & Roby, Santos and others and here 'Fear', a collaboration between Andrew and Sorin really grabs you without letting go with it's intense subby rumbling groove and tight dubby transitions. 'Dinamic' and 'Inlove' are testaments of Sorin's musical integrity yet at early age, and shows obvious inspiration from classic american techno, and modern dub techno, yet still delivering something that is housy and totally current. Japanese producer Imugem Orihasam has spent the past 3 years slowly evolving. His early work on Ilian Tape and Esperanza sounds like that of an already seasoned craftsman digesting Detroit bit by bit, with a focus on lush textures and swooning eerie melodies.

After a small Shevchenko break, the Slavic Spiritual Warrior is back! Expect the usual mind-melting psychedelic dub warfare from all angles. 'No Music' is proper warehouse gear - intense, dark and cut at 45rpm for maximum damage. Flip over for two more abstract, analogue voyages into the Ukranium.

His vinyl debut was on melted recordings mtd.008 part 1 and 2 with his deep an warm cl interpretations which were the most successful tracks of this 3-vinyl EP "cl interpretations" series. Again here on his special numbered/limited mtd.009 12" vinyl madera goes really deep into his soft and warm, but also pumping respectively ticking sound with strong drums - somehow one of the finest analog(ue) dubtechno tunes on melted ever! Agnès is known for his usual deep, dubbed-out minimal techno productions and explores as well more house-influenced rhythms and textures. Agnès runs the Geneva-based label Sthlmaudio Recordings. Launched in 2003, Sthlmaudio has released tracks by Agnès, Puma, Octex, Apoll, Cabanne, Croatian producers Luka & Lazo and lately the Swiss duo Azuni. Agnès also had a well received EP on Cabanne's Minibar label ('Treat Me Bad') and upcomming releases in late 2006 on Plak Records, Einmaleins Musik and Perspectiv Records. He has recently started to collaborate with the Zurich based label Drumpoet Community under the moniker of Cavalier. He also released to date 2 EP under his Ray Valioso name for Real Soon Records in the UK.

Body' is the debut long player from 20 year old Darling Farah. Born in Detroit before relocating to the United Arab Emirates he is now in London, where in 3 short months this innovative debut was written. Deep, sophisticated and expertly reduced 'Body' showcases an artist striding forward at a rare pace, able to create almost overwhelming emotional dynamics, his is a world of daring introversion, increasing possibilities and resistance to classification. Traversing the Techno landscape with beautiful continuity the album navigates from beatless ambience, pulsing rhythms and machinist teutonics through dancefloor beats and cyclic 4/4 to Detroit soul and dub techno. Cohesive and effortless it will undoubtedly solidify the hype around it's precociously talented producer. Fusing the purist aesthetics of his native Detroit with mechanical soul, metallic sounds and atmospheric mysticism 'Body' is an album brimming in sensation, tempered skill and emotional mastery. Spacious voids filled with decaying reverb contain sparse arrangements, machine-like characteristics and subtle euphorics. Dream-like textures expand and contract in three dimensions, illuminated with delayed pyrotechnics they contrast with taut rhythms and pneumatic grooves. Lucid yet hypnotic, sonic memories grow and recycle organically as delicate changes and subtle variations on a considered palette focus their effect on the mind while effortlessly moving the body. Opening with 'North', the cavernous atmospherics begin and spacious tension builds around the tough sparse beat. On 'Realised' a bouncing rhythm driven by the hiss of pistons and a tightly reverbed 808 kick buckles under swelling reverb and drowns in crackling digital ambience. The deep and rolling 'Fortune' features a more minimal beat, one lost in warm bass, rich reverb and lush enveloping synths. 'Forget It' rides a dusty lo-fi 2 step garage skeleton while the sub bass moves creating imagined swing in the intoxicated haze. Breathy vocal shards and long barely-there synth melodies haunt the stylish title track 'Body', it's digital textures evoke lost industrial sentiment and move like ghostly transmissions around the gripping groove. On 'Curse' complex pounding techno is slowed to a motorik chug, detail shining in the gaps exposed. It bristles with frayed machine patterns as synths stabs and drive it forward into the a beat-less arpeggiated synth scape of 'Aaangel', who's sublime pads and primal harmonies exhilarate and feel synapse synced. The dub techno of 'All Eyes' fills a empty shell with remembered chords decaying around rhythmic mechanics while 'Bruised' offers one of the most rowdy and disorientating moments on the album, from the frozen ambience a darkside rush of growling bass dominates and a vocal snippet announces 'This is it'. Stoic but pacy 'Fortune Part II' sees pulsing bass run back lit against step sequenced synths and sporadic kicks before 'Telling Me Everything' closes the album, it's synths blowing like a desert wind as a hollowed out kick drifts wounded out into the vast final expanse

German DJ / Producer Joachim Spieth returns on Affin with a superb remix ep of his successful tune - Sensual' from the label's 100th release. Therefore Spieth included Brendon Moeller, Reggy Van Oers & Jamal Moulay. It's impressing to see the variety the guys put out of the original. Brendon Moeller (Echologist/Steadfast Records) comes up with flowing fx lines, fat stabs, nice added chords, just a massive reshape. Reggy Van Oers version is more on the chords. So this one tends to be a straight but very clear sounding techno trip you won't forget. Jamal Moulay shows a different insight on it. A fat kick, layered chords and some nice acid extracts on a base that seems to develop constantely. Nice rework. 'Work, Live & Sleep In Collapsing Space' starts with huge symphonic synths, half-speed kicks, trap style hi-hats rushes and flammed 808 snares, slowly building up with giant whooshes of gaseous noise before breaking out into an intense trancey Moroder-esque synth that totally fills the track, making it sound absolutely vast and a little bit frightening, running it through effects to give it an aggressive, spacey rush that takes your breath away. It's the sort of track that connects Kuedo's past to the newer music he made on 'Severant', with a fierce emotive grace and intense power. This will absolutely destroy dancefloors and headphones alike. First up on the remixes, Laurel Halo takes the track apart, adding sutured strings and bubbling sounds inside a pressurised dub space, before dropping a gorgeous, bittersweet melody into the space that's left. It's an appropriate re-imagining of the title, almost aching and groaning under its own pressure. Next, Claude Speed re-interprets the track as a beatless evocation of space, building graceful warm strings into a vision of symphonic beauty before the whole piece coalesces into building trancey bass synths over racing live drums, mirroring the original version but taking it in a totally different but equally breathtaking direction.

This is blueform, a sublabel of melted recordings, with it's first release - made by Random Audio. In order to assort different variations of techno blueform was founded as the first official sublabel of melted recordings, although small labels aside of melted were started so far. Blueform stands for real classic detroit techno as we know and love it for many years. Very famous protagonists, especially from the US formed this spacy, retro-futuristic and/or chordish sound - a special state of mind. Random Audio reflects these characteristics with his tracks of the hologram EP. He is an important part of the futuredraht community, he has produced many tracks of various styles - mostly (but not only) techno - and even now he had just his second track on melted recordings under another alias, this is his first own (vinyl | digitally worldwide distributed) release. The first track "Fourier Transmatica" brings us back with a pulsating sound into the late nineties of detroit techno. The chords, melodies and pads in "Downtown" fit exactly to the sound of "the motor city". "The Model" goes right into the science fiction side of techno using creaky blips and old string sounds and finally "The Mask" seems to build itself up with bubbling tones again and again. Imugem Orihasam is one of Japan's most exciting and driven electronic music composers. With a slew of releases on the likes of Ilian Tape, Sistrum and New Kanada, to name but a few, he is clearly a man on a mission. He started out making hip hop beats in 1997 but by 2000 exposure to Jeff Mills by a close friend ignited a fire that burns deep and blue.Upon listening to these four tracks two things becomes clear, Imugem's unique vision as well as his immaculate sound design and production sensibility. The tracks are deep but propulsive, futuristic yet filled with emotion. Dive in.

Inner Surface Music are very proud to present their fourth release with two stalwarts of the UK underground techno scene - Patrick Walker (Forward Strategy Group / Isodyne) and Inigo Kennedy. Romanian record label Amphia have just released their third vinyl and it is very far from your run of the mill record. The label owners, Vlad Caia & Cristi Cons, are showcased here in their collaborative form under the project name SIT.

A side 'Channeling' is a very pleasant listening experience full of depth and grace. The beat and bass take the center stage here while everything else is kind of muted and carefully filtered just waiting to be discovered. Unlike the A side, most of the drum elements are acoustic in nature. An element that is never hidden here is the complex array of melodic atmospherics. The three minute long outro gives you a chance to reflect upon some of the elements in greater detail and leaves you feeling cooled and relaxed.

B side 'Ex' has a very industrial, feel to it right off the bat. Aside from the hypnotic 4/4 beat we have a very playful bassline, bright reverbed synthetic drum elements that are carefully crafted in sound and well placed in the structure of the sound, giving the track a smooth, rolling feel. A detuned pad helps complete this beauty's slightly darker melodic character.

This is then a very effective record in the sense that it perfectly showcases what the dynamic duo are capable of, complex and mesmerizing at the same time.

The Spanish label 'TechnoLogika Records' has the premiere in this new release number 18 in format vinyl, on the occasion of his second Anniversary. There is signed the most representative artist of the label JOSE CASTILLERO, after his recent publication for RESOPAL SCHALLWARE (Berlin) now we surprise with this new work focused in sounds techno more forceful and ultramodern always characterized by his technology and personality in his productions. DE:BUG: 'Jackmate - Oval [Phil E/2011 - WAS] Eigentlich gibt es kaum ein anderes Label auf der Welt, das so beständig und mit einer solchen Lässigkeit diese ungewöhnlichen und überdreht massiven Kicks raushaut wie Phil E und Philpot. Und das über Jahre. Jedes einzelne Release ein Meisterwerk und die neue Jackmate (deren Tracks ich nicht schreiben kann, weil mir die eher elektronischen Anfangsbuchstaben auf der Tastatur fehlen) ist voller unerwarteter Wendungen. - OvaI' (mit Ohmzeichen) rockt mit einem massiven Jazzswing langsam in einen treibend plinkernden Killertrack, der selbst Carl Craig zu seinen besten Zeiten hätte erblassen lassen, und die unglaubliche Duborgie auf der Rückseite zeigt einem mal wieder, wieviel an Zersplitterung dieser Sound eigentlich vertragen könnte, ohne seine summend breite Killerästhetik verlassen zu müssen. Zwei grandiose Tracks, und den letzten wünsche ich mir als Startschuss in das nächste Jahr.

contribute their brilliant acoustic artwork to this team-playing vinyl.
A very special attention must be given to the cover artwork, an enormous combination of graphic- and sound design. After building up a trigger for a kick drum and installing a special camera, our graphic designer Astrid Höffling shot a mass of abstract forms, that show the colourful exercise of the frequencies while running out of a speaker - a liquid movement of sounds.
The musical range covers it all: from a bright hymn by Bekeschus to some chunky dubtechno by Einklang Freier Frequenzen and then all the way back with some uplifting moments for the deeper floors by Reynold and multiple melodic house music sketches by The Marx Trukker.
All artists present their creativity at full volume ranging from outstanding soundscapes to visual sensations, making 'Liquid Garden' a total work of art.

Vortex Two is a straight forward techno trip with minimalistic 909 programming and deep mesmerizing sounds. With Reflection Aubrey brings things in more playful territory. The deep driving bassline, jumpy melody line and dito percusion provide for an insane dance floor bomb. As I Look To The Sky From The Surface Of The Water is the much awaited second album from GRIT, aka London producer Guy Brackley and it's found a perfect home on Meanwhile. The label is well placed to be an outlet for GRIT's explorations deep into the realm of deep techno, thanks to it's standing within the techno community and this album stands tall alongside contributions from the likes of Murmur, Sven Weismann, Bvdub and Conforce. Opening with the expansive title track, GRIT sets the tone for what to expect with the ripple of syncopation shifting in and out of focus amidst the viscous layers of foggified luminescent ambient texture. Across the subsequent five tracks this tone is retained throughout as Brackley playfully explores the inventive sparks that arise when rhythm rubs with texture, with the smudged out subaqueous "Safer Retreat" a real highlight.

Making their first foray into vinyl release, Club Soda present a new three track EP from West London producer Guy Haans. This EP will appeal to both long term dubstep devotees and more recent disciples of the UK bass music scene. Taking its cue from producers like Joker, Ikonika and LD, this is immaculately produced dubstep: deep, dark and dub-wise, crafted in the finest tradition of the genre before the mid-range brigade crashed the party. It has already been played on Dublin's Play FM and been featured on dubstep / bass blogs such as subrewind and dub selekta, where comparisons to seminal producers such as Joker were again drawn. Club Soda Records is a new label specialising in deep dubstep, bass music and alternative electronica. Launching in 2011, the imprint immediately caught the eyes and ears of London bass-heads with an astonishing video for debut single 'Thermo-Nuclear War' by Many Minds. Scroobius Pip tweeted his admiration and a remix by Dan le Sac followed on the imprint's first single of 2012. The Guy Haans single is Club Soda's debut vinyl release, presenting this music in the format it was meant to be heard on. With its rolling bass and analogue sounds, this single was built for the turntables of bass-heavy vinyl enthusiasts.
