EMERGENCE is an epic, operatic, ambitious amalgamation between audio-visual show, scientific research project, art installation and IDM record, the debut release on Max Cooper's Mesh label and his second full-length release.2 LPs housed in a gatefold sleeve, featuring black and gold ink printed onto silver laminated board to create a unique and beautiful effect.The record was conceived as a soundtrack to a new series of 11 pieces of video art, each exploring a different facet of the concept of 'emergence'. The full A/V live show will premiere at Mutek, Japan on November 2nd 2016. Together the work is a marriage between the cosmic awe of a Carl Sagan film and the musical wonderment of Sigur Ros, made for meditating on the mystery of our emotional connection to fundamental natural form.
Cooper collaborated with film composer Tom Hodge and vocalist Kathrin deBoer to put together a rich piece of music that incorporates post-rock, Warp-y brain-dance, hi-def digital techno and shimmering neo-classical. Few musicians are as qualified as Max to tackle as profound an idea as 'emergence' through electronic music. Emergence is the story of the development of the universe, the way in which, very complex things like human beings where created from the immaterial by the action of simple laws.Max has synthesised his skill as a producer and his deep interests in science to create a Hadron Collider-grade ambient techno world, in the lineage of The Future Sounds of London's 'Lifeforms' for 2016. It's also one of the most beautiful records you'll hear all year. Early support at radio pledged from Lauren Laverne and Mary Anne Hobbs.

Figures creator Len Faki steps in to the spotlight once again with his brand new >Street Dub Street Dub Street Dub Street Dub Version Ambience< mix is included, stripping away all the percussion and letting the beautiful subtleties of Fakis production bubble to the surface.

Nico Leschien and René Polley alias D. Instructed loves to play with the Filter and Effect knobs of their analogue synthezisers. The Berlin based electronic label Eintakt' was established by Markus Lang aka Dj Plastique in 2001. In the beginning his own productions together with Telly Quin where in the foreground. In the course of upcoming releases Plastique invited more and more musicians from the steady growing friendship and surrounding of Eintakt records to release on the label.
The philosophy of the Eintakt label is to keep the electronic underground alive while being open-minded for further development. During the last 15 years many national and international artists joined the Eintakt mosaic and generated a label that evolved to a multicultural musical concept.
The labels independent and varied distribution structures made it possible to found new projects and concentrate on experimental sounds and grooves.
With every new release Eintakt gives artists the opportunity to even create their own graphics and design for the release, and to generate an individual work.
Thanks to all friends and artists, giving the label permanent creative inspirations. The Eintakt platform was expanded with the sublabels Hot Content' , Rare' and Townhousemusic'.

"Navy Cut" promises to explore new territory in Sound System music by focusing on quality releases by some of the worlds talented producers.
NC001 introduces a new project between Leo James (Ruckspin, Author, Submotion Orchestra) and Ed Gooden (Quark).
"Speak Back" the A side is very reminiscent of early "Rhythm and Sound" featuringShanee Pink on vocals.
The B side ventures into a more sound system style Steppas affair featuring moody guitar by Ed Gooden.
To finish off this debut release Egoless, one of Croatia's finest exports completely flips the A side with a lively remix.
Future releases by Navy Cut will feature music by J.Sparrow, Author, RWild and guests.

Over the course of the past five years, Amsterdam based label Indigo Aera has evolved in to one of the most trustworthy and respected contemporary Detroit techno labels around.

Apart from new music that's mostly analog based and highly energetic, head honchos Maarten Mittendorff en Jasper Wolff decent to the vaults of early day, soul-searching techno regularly, digging up forgotten gems to re-issue them with modern quality standards. Esteemed artists like Stephen Brown, Skudge, Steve Rachmad, Antigone, Louis Haiman and Kirk DeGiorgio all contributed to Indigo Aera, and there's more to come.

The Lost Archives Special consists of unreleased tracks from absolute legends, to music that has never been released in a physical form before, to fresh compositions of techno's most talented contemporary artists.

Antimatter's third release is a new project by F-on & Bule, dedicated to slow drone techno with field recordings and other 4x4 experiments.

This year irrepressible Italian born electronic producer Roberto Bosco returns with a new EP via his own imprint Last Drop Records, recently founded alongside with his partner in crime Kiny. This EP, that features four tracks, begins in media res with Sonorous Waves Part 1. An ambient intro track that creates the conditions for a mystic and celestial environment that pervades the whole release. Towards the end of the track a psychedelic reflection reshapes the sound: it is the light that filters, crystal clear and bright. The other track on the same side, Part 2, is more dancefloor oriented with a 4/4 beat and multi-layered structure made of typical industrial and techno sonorities. It's evident that they include Roberto Bosco's legacy: stormy emotions but with deep and melodic sound lines. Part 3 is another intro track, starting with spectral sounds that carefully develop into a full sci-fi ambience. Then, finally, part 4 arises with obscure and hypnotics sounds that match very slowly a more perpetual and gentle 4/4 that ends with ups and downs and a syncopated bass.

A year after his first release on the label, German deepsmith Sven Weisemann is back on Delsin with a sophomore effort entitled Separate Paths. Down for his moody outings on labels like Mojuba and Telrae, this new four track affair continues to mark out the man behind it as a master of atmosphere. Grooves floating in mid air and subtle melodies drift by like half remembered thoughts. Head music that also makes your body move. It may only be four tracks long, but this EP truly takes you on a journey somewhere far away from this world.

When Tresor founder Dimitri Hegemann stumbled into a former bank vault in East Berlin on March 13th 1991, he had little idea that the space he had unlocked would fast become one of Berlin's most influential and enduring techno clubs. "We didn't know what would happen 10 months later," he says. "We signed a lease for a year. Which eventually got renewed for another three months, and another three months.."

As Tresor celebrates its 25th anniversary with this work of artists from the US, Germany, China, France, Austria, Italy and the UK, it is worth dwelling on how the cultural conditions that birthed Detroit techno - economic neglect and broken industry - were mirrored by the disused bunkers and impromptu parties of post-unification East Berlin, where techno found new, vigorous expression.

Today, though the boom and bust of globalised capitalism has filled the void that followed the Berlin Wall, and techno has become a worldwide industry, we face a new political chapter, one defined by populism, nationalism and mistrust. Contemporary creatives should take inspiration from Tresor's story, an extraordinary experiment born from improvisation, resourcefulness and social neglect that uplifted the spirits of inner city communities for a quarter-century.

This record marks the spirit of those 25 years of creativity, a paean to the psychedelic music of Dimitri's youth. From the signature magnetic soundscapes of Vainqueur to the dark textures of upcoming Beijing producer Shao; from Jon Hassell's slow epicurean volutes, to the ritual auras of Marcelus and Claudia Anderson's contributions; from the dub-infused pioneering programming of Juan Atkins and Moritz von Oswald, to Mønic's enthralling cadences, it represents some of the old and new names that continually epitomise Tresor's perennial spirit of ingenuity. "We were space pioneers," says Dimitri.

The East Berlin of 1991 may have disappeared to gentrification, with Tresor's lonely vanguard joined by an army of venues catering to an international array of clubbers benefiting from low cost travel, many of whom settle in the city for good. Berlin is Europe's economic engine, headquarters to global industry and sole traders alike, where Polish, Kurdish and English are as likely to be spoken as German. That range of influences is felt in all areas of life, not least in the city's music.

"Without Tresor, Berlin would not be what it is today," concludes Dimitri. "Even though it sounds a bit pretentious, it is true. Tresor was the prototype for an extraordinary club. It was only possible as a combination of the right time, the right place, the right content and determined people."

again, mastered by Matt Colton (Alchemy mastering) and

Both Kirk Degiorgio and Mark Broom rework B12's
'Worlds End'. Kirk Degiorgio, who makes a rare
appearance as Future/Past, increases the energy levels
and turns the original into a dance floor bomb. Broom's
version heals back to a more electro and breakbeat vibe
by adding some deep ballsy and stretched out beats.
On the flipside, Scanner's 'Eros' gets the Black Dog
treatment. The illustrious UK outfit strips down the original
into an eerie futuristic soundscape. Lastly, The Future
Sound Of London brings us an intense piece of sound
design: sit back and let the music take control, stay tuned! "

Originally released on Wagon Repair in 2008, Deadbeat offers up a limited vinyl repress and digital release of one of his most critically acclaimed albums for the first time in 8 years.

'That's not to say that Roots and Wire doesn't pack any heat. The album may kick off with two slower numbers, but the arrival of the next trio of tracks turns the tide. All three tease, building patiently before showing their true colours. Tikiman/Paul St. Hilaire opens and closes the album with two impeccable vocals, conveying a feet-up reefer madness vibe rather than hedonistic/hell-for-leather. Nach den gefeierten, verspielt-genrehüpfenden Dance-Alben "Melodies" (2010) und "Curiosities" (2013) lag
die Messlatte für ein drittes Werk sehr hoch. Manche orakelten schon zu hoch, denn "Harmonies" wollte und
wollte einfach nicht fertig werden. Doch Mike Fabulous aka Lord Echo hat dem Druck standgehalten. Und
zwar mit Bravour, wie die Vorab-Albumauskoppelung "Just Do You" eindrucksvoll unter Beweis stellt! Die
organisch groovende, dezent psychedelische 12'' des Produzenten, Gitarristen und Sängers von The Black
Seeds und Mitglieds von Fat Freddy's Drop enthält drei swingende Versionen des Titeltracks, darunter ein
Instrumental und eine Dub-Fassung, sowie die Disco-Nummer "Only You". Bei beiden Songs erhielt Lord
Echo Gesangsunterstützung von langjährigen Kollegen. Während Mara TK (Electric Wire Hustle) "Just Do
You" mit souligen Vocals veredelt, zeigt Toby Laing (Fat Freddy's Drop) bei "Only You" sein Talent am
Mikrofon. Damit dürfte endgültig klar sein, dass uns mit "Harmonies" ein weiterer Geniestreich des
neuseeländischen Multiinstrumentalisten erwartet.

The Berlin-based label 'Forbidden Behaviours' welcomes aboard the romanian talent Zefzeed which has previously released on labels such as All Inn, BodyParts, Untold Stories just to name a few. The EP is composed by three tracks that showcase perfectly the refined ears and tastes of the artist. This is a must for any serious vinyl pusher! Don't sleep on this one..
