Kenny Gino and Big Mike a.k.a. the Solid Gold Playaz both started playing records in the late 70's/early 80's. They both seemed to have a unique ability to program music to move the crowds that would come to the "red light" basement parties in their neighborhoods, and would later play some of the same clubs in the Milwaukee area, as well as doing similar radio shows at the same college. Having family from Chicago, who were DJ's and down with some of the big guys at the time, "heavily influenced our music and production styles" both say. "Living so close to the city, we could go down to all the legendary night spots. The Rainbow and the Warehouse, the Box, the Shelter... places where you could just feel the vibe."

Great subtle grooving ambient-ish Dub techno tracks by Mr. Cloudy

Techno party throwers EarToGround are proud to present there first label release ETG001 on limited vinyl pressing only. Out of London comes the Programm EP with original sounds written and produced by Dax J & Chris Stanford. With their strong influences of traditional techno they have brought it's rawest stripped back elements to life. A mechanism of deep synthesizer stabs, a hard but sweet kick drum and complementary hi-percussion & shakers setting a solid platform for this new born label.

The man behind The Girls of the Internet returns to his techno-leaning alias with five resounding cuts entitled ‘My Dreams Are Slowly Dying’.

Following Tableland’s debut release at the end of the decade that picked up support from the likes of DJ Bone, Laurent Garnier, Jon Hester and Nemone on BBC 6 Music, the Girls of the Internet producer re-joins his self-titled imprint in 2020. The Girls Of The Internet continue to feed their superb reputation of delivering funk-fuelled electronics that draws inspiration from a variety of electronic music styles from the last 40 years.

‘My Dreams Are Slowly Dying’ kicks things off with pulsating kicks, undulant euphoria in the form of dreamy leads and stabbing melodies that fluctuate throughout. ‘Pyramid Scheme’ surges into squeaky modulations, jazzy tones and funky atmospherics that rolls with vibrant energy while ‘Charlie + Suzie’ offers up shuffling rhythms, subdued yet emotive synths underneath clattering highs and snares that get introduced in the latter stages, before ‘Wormwood’ rounds off the enchanting EP with a calming house cut harmonising together exquisite keys, deep bass vibrations and uplifting oscillations which carry you away until the end.

Pugilist steps up on Trule with a four track EP of sound system club heaters across various styles and BPMs. From the broken UK garage of the title track, the crunching breaks of Untitled with ILK, the dub wise Junglism of Adversity with Tamen, and the techno dancehall variation of Portal. Something for all the dancers.

"made of CONCRETE" founders Andreas Pionty & fumée grise celebrate the label's second anniversary with a special release, that aligns their soundscape to palpable, material coordinates in a near- synesthetic output. Joining forces as Rebar, a moniker nodding to the label's name itself, their debut EP consists of two original tracks and two remixes centered around geo-relevant, field recorded elements.
Named after a district in Dresdener Andreas Pionty's hometown, opening track "Prohlis" is a straightforward exploration of industrial elements with an impersonal, functional atmosphere. "Kaputt" labelhead Coeter jumps in on the rework, adding more groove to the track through rhythmic distortion.
Breaking off from the homogenous structure of the first side, "Hansaviertel" unfolds as a more traditional composition. Using live recordings from the eponymous district in Berliner fumée grise's home base, an area well known for its modern architecture, the track evokes the same minimalist and cavernous ambiance as the area itself. Known for his upright techno antics, "Credo" main man Alex Bau puts forth an atypical dub tech remix. Retaining the initial groove and spacious attire, we're enveloped in a more laidback, minimalist interpretation of the original.

The fourth Kabalion elixir takes us on a walk from the cold depths of our previous pitch black subaquatic opus toward beautiful dreamscapes where the sun leads us toward eternity.

Rory St John returns to Voitax with "Excommunication", a hyper-deep, futurist take on classic dub techno. Skillfully assembled, each of the four tracks hypnotically morph and evolve, forgoing the cheap tropes of today's 'rise and drop' techno for a more immersive listen - one gets the feeling that each and every sound is wielded with precision, and exists exactly where and for as long as it should. Reacting to the increasingly harder-edge sound that proliferates today's techno, Rory St John strove to push his sound in the opposite direction. The result is sombre and introspective - a slick, reverberating antidote to mainstream anthems. This release is markedly different to the abrasive stylings of his previous "Run Your Mouth" EP and reveals yet another side to the producer's sonic palette.

Brand new in those deeper days, 'DUB 2 DUST RECORDS' is going to start their vinyl-label, releasing electronic dance music with a special
focus on the various colours of deep Dub-Techno and "Dub" inspired Tech-House.

As artists and remixers Marko Fürstenberg, Gabriel Le Mar, Frank Leicher, Quantec, Luke Hess and youANDme will light a match this year for 'DUB 2 DUST' reflecting their passion and respect for the needs of a Dub head on the floor.

The dub-feeling is clearly the inspiration behind the general flavor of the DUB2DUST-Sound and will demonstrate innovative efforts to offer interesting hybrids of techno/house music. 'DUB 2 DUST RECORDS' is operated from Gabriel Le Mar & Carsten Schorr, and already based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Unison Research is an iItalian duo (Filippo Di Nola and Luca Starace) with a passion for analog machines and anyway is a party where Filippo and Luca are a resident djs.
Here they deliver three techno tracks with deepness and accurate structure that continue the mood of the previous release of the label which is already a classic for Dub Techno lovers

After the first classy, deep and aetherial 12" back in May 2019, B2 Recordings is back with it's second release, and here we see the labelowner Bengoa move things forward with a three-track EP of all original material following a five-year hiatus. Title-cut 'Forest Law' takes the lead with robust, organic percussion at its core while wandering subs, airy, circling synth lines and vocal chants ebb and flow throughout the groove to create a rolling, hypnotic groove. 'A Little More' opens the flip-side next, embracing a dub leaning feel with choppy stab echoes, crunchy drums and bumpy bass hits before 'Corponation' rounds out the release, laying focus on expansive voice murmurs, airy atmospherics and an acid tinged bass hook alongside loosely shuffling, jazz tinged drums.

The third reference in Concerns Music LTD has two original tracks by Kalter Ende and two remixes by Orphx and Manni Dee. Pure techno.

New myths; remember downstream, the truth and sacred geometry. Unlikely and bright, it weighs waves like an anchor through pinch unconscious - unread and still. Al Wootton continues pushing the Trule sound with the Operator EP. Spanning from the Ragga Garage of Levi, the UK Techno Breaks of Teresa, the UK Funky/dubwise stepper of the title track Operator and the minimal 2 step techno of Franz. All primed for the sound system and the dance floor.
