After a couple of great remixes for Noir Music Robert S (PT) delivers his first solorelease on the label and I am proud to present these three
amazing originals and two remixes courtesy of Drumcell and The
Advent. Robert and I have been compiling this release over several months and put together what we felt was a really strong 3-tracker. We have been testing the tracks in the clubs around the world making sure we had compiled the perfect release and we are both super happy with the end-result. On top of that we reached out to Drumcell and The Advent for remixes and they both delivered fantastic takes on the “Exoplanets” track.

After releasing exclusively for Touch Music UK, Sohrab delivers this long awaited EP on Shahr Farang.

The 1st remix comes from Berlin based Markus Suckut. A subtle angle is taken on Reflect which makes the remix feel sustainable. Just the perfect remix to include in his impeccable oeuvre. All the way from Finland is analog devotee Samuli Kemppi, who takes care of the 2nd remix. Samuli creates a sudden tension with builds up until the very end. A001, from Amsterdam, turns the original Reflect into a obscure remix with an perplexing 2nd half. A001's mysterious and quiet appearance is a paradox compare to his musical output. TWR72 closes the EP with the bonus track 'Response'. A solid and barbarous answer to Reflect. No words are further needed.

It's very hard not to be impressed by the immersive sound design of dutch producer Makam. Glacial Valley is a proper dub techno track that keep inspiring many producers and DJ's even 10 years after it was released. Following their hugely well-received, refreshingly outlandish debut EP for Phantasy, Israeli club outsiders Red Axes return to the label with another three-track delight of leftfield dance entitled 'Sound Test'. Debuting on Phantasy in 2018, 'Sipoor' by Red Axes was massive.

The release received critical acclaim, not to mention heavy support within the club realm from DJs like Call Super, Jennifer Cardini, Ewan Pearson, Fort Romeau, Massimiliano Pagliara, Chloe, and many more.

Highly soughtafter by those who've heard Erol Alkan unleash it in recent months, 'Sound Test' kickstarts Phantasy Sound's 2019 - a rolling tool for a dance floor sliding into another dimension, constructed around a dramatic, numeric countdown.

A minimal, skeletal build builds hroughout to one of the most out-there breakdowns in recent rave-blotted memory, as the Axes slowly but surely rebuild their house to even more outlandish new proportions.

'Shabak Shalom' quickly snatches the record back from outer space and drags it deep into the basement, zoning in on the gritter, strobe-ready sound that defines the duo's most club-ready work.

All of the Axes' weapons of choice are deployed as unusually as per usual; militant drums, battered electronics, fucked- frequencies, wiry post-punk guitar lines and lovingly drowned traditional instruments blend to create their own special, slightly-menacing interpretation of hi-NRG.

Finally, on the unapologetically sprawling and immediately effective closing number, 'Kookoo Pa-pa', Red Axes demonstrate their inherent talent, if proof were ever needed, of conjuring rolling, simmering tension in otherworldly shades. The "Night Without Stars EP" marks the long-awaited solo return to Dynamic Relfection for Deepbass. Drenched in his driving but melodic signature style, Deepbass delivers a two-piece killer cut, ready to transport its listeners to a dark spaced-out world beyond. Topped off by a tripping remix by fellow Glaswegian Edit-Select, this fiery EP is sure to light up even the darkest nights.

First release on the new Copenhagen imprint, featuring tracks by DJ IBON, Lund&R?nde and Stealth Boys, all from the local BunkerBauer crew. The release consists of three fast and trance infused tracks for the floor, and makes a contribution to the current flowering of Copenhagen dance music. BunkerBauer is a DJ and producer collective, and has been a central institution in the Copenhagen techno scene for several years. All tracks are produced in the BunkerBauer studios which is located in an old bunker from world war 2, in the centre of the city. On the A side there is DJ Ibons driving rhythms and dark trance leads, followed by an insisting groover by Stealth Boys. The B side contains Lund&R?ndes wax debut; an uplifting and symphonic banger, that will stick in your head for days.

To understand where 'The Attic' came from, we have to go back to one of my oldest memories: watching Der Phantastische Film on German tv. The movies that left the deepest marks on me were the ones that zoomed in on the possible bad sides of technology and predicted the downfall of mankind. A next personal cornerstone was Tubeway Army's 'Are 'friends' electric', from 1979: it was the first time I was blown away by the sound of synths. It felt so new, an expression of the perversity of technology through music. The song was about androids who seduced humans in order to rape them. The shortcomings of human beings transported to technology. It was machines turning against humanity. It wasn't like Kraftwerk who were very first degree, unpersonal and too clean.

I was an early adopter of home computers, but the instruments and studio stuff to make music were still out of my reach in the early eighties. So when sampling came along, for me it was not only an important change in sound image, but it opened up all these possibilities too. And then finally, in the mid-eighties - I was working in the military - people started selling their hardware to make the switch to digital. I bought loads of old gear and started experimenting with sound. It was around the time when the whole new beat thing exploded in Belgium. I despised it. To me they were yuppies with smileys plundering a subculture, shitting out one bland record after another... At the time I was listening to B-2 Unit by Sakamoto, or the weird electropop of YMO. That's probably where my idea of techno was shaped: this idea of electronics mixed with the German Bauhaus school, or with abstract Malevich paintings.

I quit the army around 1990, and shortly thereafter I had a dark dream that caused me to make 'The Attic'. I was in the attic of a house. It felt magical, but there was a sense of underlying danger. I looked up and the roof came off and started to dissolve, and I heard voices with bird like frequencies calling from the cosmos: 'come with us, come with us.' Maybe it was about the deification of technology Anyway, the image and the feeling of the dream were so vivid I transcribed them to music in maybe two days.

When the demo was finished, we went straight to Boccaccio and handed it to Olivier Pieters, who immediately played it. 'The Attic' went on to become one of the signature songs for which they switched on the big lasers. It started to live its own life: I heard it in shopping streets in Amsterdam, it was blazing from cars, it was huge in Germany after the wall fell, etc.

I quickly realized the music business wasn't something for me though: all these people with their profiling urge, the bootlegs, the fact that music got pushed into formats ... In retrospect, I was part of a scene without really taking part in it.

For the ninth instalment of the Konstrukt Series it is Samuel van Dijk's moniker Mohlao that graces the spot with a five track minimalistic exploration of the deep electronic realm. Targeting the fiction of a journey through metropolitan areas during nightfall, Mohlao's sound gives us comfort and stimulates our dream-state awareness. The environments that appear are real, yet we are more than passive observers.

Ben Sims' long running Hardgroove imprint drops a new split release from Ultramajic artist Chambray and newcomer George Tounisidis this September.The 12 inch A-side comprises two exclusive instrumental versions of cuts originally released on Kompass in 2014 that show the German artist's robust house leanings nicely while the flip side sees two similarly meaty house-informed techno cuts from George Tounisidis.
As always with Hardgroove, this is a 12 Inch of dancefloor weapons for the heads.

Barcelona-based artist Cardopusher and french producer La Bile, both known for their breakcore debuts in the 00s, are back with a 6-tracks split EP mixing freaky techno, outlandish electro, kooky jungle... This is acid for weirdos !

Jeremy Hyman steps up to FT with the first of two 12" EPs that are a coordinated blast of colorful, galaxy-edge plastic techno from the master percussionist who moonlights in Lifted, Boredoms, Animal Collective, and more. Always rhythmatic in exciting ways, Hyman's drum programming here is more arms than buttons, injecting a fly human element in the 12". "Slide" does what it says with amazing technoid bass work and a propulsive sense of timing, "Madness" hovers and falls and hovers again, and "Tinted Mirror" is some sort of Foodman-meets-Prescription-Records house symphony, rising and rising and rising. Tip!

Lady Neptune is a state of euphoria. Lady Neptune isn’t real, Lady Neptune is a reality.

Originally formulated in London as a performing alter-ego for nascent singer-songwriter and fashion student Moema Meade, Lady Neptune has been an ongoing work that has evolved from distorted guitar dirges, bass-heavy synth pop music into its current Hi NRG 4am experimental Gabber nadir. New Gorbals Gabber is monstrous and glorious. Informed by goblinzed cave dwelling nu metal aesthetics, cheap ‘n’ nasty instrumentation but above all, peeking like an elvin proboscis around the corner of your mind, is an unstoppable knack for hooks that elevates these compositions to channels for new planes of ecstasy.

Mostly performed live using an Electribe sampler/sequencer with synths, New Gorbals Gabber feels like a live recording at the rave in the final circle of Dante’s Inferno. How much fun does that sound? We’re talking Lucifer’s Manumission, Hanger 666. Meade-as-Neptune is an impish presence, Jekyll and Hyding from dirt-eating goblin to glacial pop supernova Number 1 Angel. Revolution’s bass riff and obscure crowd samples build with a arpeggiated bass synth that swirls around the Hardcore beat, threatening a Bloody Fist-style production yet staying within a dub sound world, heavy delays fading out into the first Pop moment. Twizt introduces Lady Neptune’s vocal processing technique and an unashamed, massive trance synth riff that reeks of foam parties and festivals no one pays into. It falls into Number 1, which borrows from PC Music tropes for a breakneck treatise on self-confidence. It feels deceptively simple, but the music is so intuitive and perfectly executed – mostly honed by playing parties and raves around Glasgow, the drops tease and fall off, it’s just so relentless. Relentlessly, unstoppably, powerfully fun.

Sonic Light is one of 3 big moments on the E.P. Like all great pop music it tears you apart and puts you back together in its own image, it’s so immediate it makes you wonder why music can’t be louder, why can’t you listen to it twice at the same time. Just as you’re waiting for the next chorus it’s finished. Wait, is it only just one chorus for under 2 minutes? Perfect. The worst thing about this music is that it eviscerates you and then leaves you scattered, needing to go out and feel the darkness, feel the fresh hell course through ya and out again. Get 2 Know U is the sound of hell falling away, the final big moment, it’s Sandstorm or SOPHIE, pumped up and angelic, everyone isn’t a star, they’re an angel for someone, for themselves. Why can’t we – that’s every living thing - listen to this song infinity times at the same time, blowing up our consciousness so we merge with all infinity. Lady Neptune, it’s good to know you.

As Morganistic, Luke Slater only released a handful of cuts-but among those was the album Fluids Amniotic, still widely praised today as a benchmark techno long-player. Regularly featuring in the sets of Hood and Mills, Morganistic's dark, rumbling minimalism was, as the album title suggests, the sonic equivalent of being trapped in the murky, viscous fluids of some sinister alien womb.

Slater unearthed the original DAT and reel-to-reel tapes and got them remastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis. Fluids Amniotic will get re-issued both on vinyl and digitally for the first time in 25 years.

that time has also become a pioneer of electronic music in Helsinki. His radio show Deep Space Helsinki (Alongside Juho)
developed into one of the cities most popular club nights and also into his shared record label DSH. His debut on Technorama

„Kenzo“ EP consists – as usual – of two original tracks and two remixes. The title track being the classic Jannowitz Records style: melodic, minimal and full-on techno. This was a household portrait in Partisan circles, called Kozarcanka - woman from Kozara. After the war, Milja said she had very little to smile about, nor did she want to carry a rifle. But she did it anyway. Our struggle thus demands, as the old Partisan song tells us. With this release, Sev Dah continues to celebrate those who dedicated their lives fighting fascism. Two old-school techno beasts as a nod to those who came before us, finishing with a futuristic space-traveller on the B-side as a reminder that the fight never ends.

Track a1, I Need (People) is a classic 4/4 techno-house tune with a bitter sweet 90s flavour, nostalgic vocals and nurturing bass. Track a2 Bitter Pill delivers dark slow burning digital acid beats with chilling metallic synths into an edgy mix.

The b side opens with Incantation, a loud empowering 4/4 cut channelling tribal forces to dance our way back to party. b2 Track n’ Trace is a classic Hi-Ryze driving electro groove with cryptic synths, deep subs and restless digital programming magic.

Our next release, and now long-awaited, is a collaboration between IMOGEN and Ben Pest. This follows IMOGEN's earlier appearance on Earwiggle which was a highlight of the Eel Behaviour series. We're big fans of Ben Pest and are very pleased to have the pair debuting their first full release together on the label.

From the hyperactive opener "Volts", that effortlessly juggles raw analogue techno with UK hardcore and all manner of rude bass wobbles, they soon delve into further chaos through the squawks and clatters of broken industrial cut "Gramalkin". "Shibooty" is a perky take on Chi-town techno, upping the funk levels through bustling shuffled 909s, humming bass and cartoonish vocal sequences. With the brooding acid electro of "Misjudgement Day", IMOGEN and Ben pile on some extra modular drones for the road, finishing off the EP in killer fashion.

A.C.E.W. returns, seeing founder A Credible Eye Witness teaming up once again with long time partner Ghost Ride on the much anticipated "Voices From The Sun E.P.". This time, the Italian versatile duo will lead you into the depths of Space, where superior intelligences scrutinized Earth and slowly drew their plans against us. The 12” kicks off with “Light In The Darkness”, an horrific tale dealing with strange phenomenon in the sky. Related through some seriously intriguing melodies, bubbling bass and unstoppable electro beats, the cut will immerse you into a complex array of uncanny, scary atmospheres, in particular when a child coming from nowhere tells “Don’t Be Afraid, Come With Me”. The main thrust isn't so much about the rhythm, but more about the aerial tones that craftily fill the song with purpose and melody. Ace! Things start to get a bit serious with the title track "Voices From The Sun". Reptilian lyrics fused into a rather 4/4 tempo will invite you to leave the planet and take a sit into an unfriendly ship. No doubt the nightmarish sequences that characterize the cut will haunt and consume your mind for a while! On the flipside, future classic "Flash" gets even more frightening. Deranged melodies enhanced with acidic lines will distort your reality as if you were travelling through time and space at light speed; a kind of kinetic tele-transportation given possible by the profound pad arrangements deployed there... you’ll be quickly realize that you definitely left our Solar system for a no return trip to the unknown! Lastly, mysterious "Linear Dimension" will bring you right back into your sinister fate: your body will be used to feed the species that kidnapp you and that’s all the splot of the song. Focusing on relentless modular loops and synth swirls, the jam offers some warm acid roars with an intuitive sense of drama. "Voices From The Sun E.P." shows the strong musicality and versatility of the Roma based team, maintaining the subtle balance between dancefloor and home listening intends. With the Winter months well and truly established, the skies of Madrid have turned from eggshell blue to metallic grey. Frigio reflects this change in the seasons with its latest release, the glazed reductions and retrospections of Principia Audiomatica. The Croatian outfit were founded in 1995 by Siniša Ocuršcak and Miljenko Rajakovic, their musical partnership ending with the untimely death of Ocuršcak. In 2010 Rajakovic restarted the project with renewed zeal and 2 tracks at A side feature Bernarda Barlović. The style pursued for this seven track 12” lies between industrially tinted electro and blackened wave. Cold and brutal in one breath, warm and yearning in the next, the EP draws on a spread of influences to create texture and tone. A gulf of sounds is explored: from ghosting samples, looming lines and incising snares to dreamy and understated atmospherics. The flip is remix focused. Taken from the 2017 album of the same name, “Distorted Information” is the source material with the Hal9000 computer being a common component of all three interpretations. Snippets from the Kubrik’s film orbit, from the brooding remake by Asprin for Oslo and the staggered steps of Alert Command to the glitched funk care of Red Sector A. Our latest release Caisa came to us as a demo by Patricio Chrigibonga from Ecuador, and it didn't take me very long see its potential. I said: „I think this is one of the biggest tracks I ever signed for Break New Soil!“ Everywhere I play it out, people come running to the booth asking what it is - so this time we believe we don't go too far by predicting: We might have a future classic here.

When we thought of who could remix this, Kevin De Vries' name came to my mind right away - and Kevin delivered once again with a spaced out, arpeggiated bigfloor version that still keeps the original in mind but adds Kevin's signature sound! We could not be happier with this release and hope you will love it as much as we do!

Originally released as part of Perc's 'Bitter Music' album in 2017 'Look What Your Love Has Done To Me' has gone from a vocal experiment to a certified festival classic and the biggest selling track in the history of the Perc Trax label. Featuring vocals from UK electronic artist Gazelle Twin the track has grown in support organically, allowing it time to take on a life of its own, receiving plays from an across the board selection of the world's biggest DJs whilst dominating festival sets in both 2017 and 2018.

Now two years after its initial release it returns remixed and ready to take on the summer of 2019. Taking on remix duties are Amelie Lens, one of the key original supporters of the track, I Hate Models, returning to Perc Trax immediately after his debut album dropped in June and Perc himself. Across the remixes I Hate Models warps and distorts the vocal over a drawn out industrial soundscape, Amelie Lens adds a melodic touch to the original's driving rhythm and Perc ramps up the energy and aggression, floating cuts of the original vocal over a hammering kick drum assault.

The history of underground electronic music is littered with inspired releases that, for one reason or other, have slipped through the cracks. It would be fair to say that Trans4m’s 1992 debut album, Sublunar Oracles, is one such release.

Composed and produced by Antwerp-based brothers Stefan and Dimitri Van Elsen over a four-year period, the album was all but ignored on its initial release despite offering a glassy-eyed, spacey fusion of sample-heavy ambient house, electronic mysticism, saucer-eyed horizontal positivity and languid trip-hop style grooves.

For the Safe Trip edition, the in-demand album’s eight tracks have been lovingly re-mastered and stretched across two heavyweight slabs of wax.

Conversion aka Jorge Caiado takes a second imposing stride into the world of purposeful electro and techno. The three stepping workouts on the A use exemplary harmonies and sound design to convey a complex emotional tone, both ruminative and decisive. Flip things over and we are dropped straight into the middle of a peak-time floor, the driving energy of straight kick and bouncing bassline pushed ever further by swelling strings here or acid stabs there. Etapp Kyle returns to Ostgut Ton with Nolove, a project encompassing a four-track EP, short film and forthcoming web exhibition focusing on Western Ukraine. Specifically, the music and artwork home in on the cities of Kamianets-Podilskyi and Chernivtsi in Bukovina, where Etapp Kyle grew up and developed his interest in electronic music. Although now part of Ukraine, Bukovina had previously been part of Moldova, the Habsburg Empire, the Russian Empire, Romania and the Soviet Union. Its turbulent history and position on the border of Romania and Moldova have resulted in an extremely varied tapestry of cultural influence, as featured in the video for title track “Nolove”. There, youth, fashion, music culture sit side-by-side next to religion, violence and war – and larger political struggles. The EP gives shape to the musical developments Etapp Kyle has made in both the studio and DJ booth since the release of 2017's Alpha, his latest 12" for Ostgut Ton. In contrast, Nolove's four tracks are minimalistic, detailed electronic ventures inspired by personal reflections on Chernivtsi and Ukrainian cultural identity. Forward-facing in rhythm and melody, the EP offers meticulously-produced leftfield dancefloor impressions of the region’s past, present and future.

Etapp Kyle kehrt mit Nolove zurück zu Ostgut Ton – und einem neuen Projekt, das eine vier- Track-EP, einen Kurzfilm und eine Online-Ausstellung mit Fokus auf die Westukraine umfasst. Genauer gesagt beziehen sich die Musik und das Artwork auf die Städte Kamjanez-Podilskyj und Czernowitz in der Bukowina, wo Etapp Kyle aufwuchs und sein Interesse an elektronischer Musik entwickelte. Während die Bukowina heute Teil der Ukraine ist, gehörte es vormals zum ehemaligen Fürstentum Moldau, der Habsburgermonarchie, dem russischen Kaiserreich, dem Königreich Rumänien und der Sovietunion. Jene turbulente Geschichte und geografische Lage an der Grenze von Rumänien und Moldawien führte zu einer extrem facettenreichen Geschichte an kulturellem Einfluss, wie der Kurzfilm zum Stück „Nolove“ zeigt. Jugend-, Mode- und Musikkultur existieren dort Seit’ an Seit’ mit Religion, Gewalt und Krieg – als auch größeren politischen Anstrengungen. We have the honour to welcome the Portugal based Norbak.

In close relation to its title "Modus Operandi". You can recognize Norbak's typical sound. Norbak, who started releasing music only little over a year ago, hasn't stopped since.

Norbak drops his EP, Modus Operandi on Eternal Friction Records, containing two originals (of which one is a digital download) and three remixes by no other artists than Stanislav Tolkachev, Svarog and Pursent.

Modus Operandi I is a carefully assembled loop, topped off with hisses and rattles, which sounds simple but is actually executed very effectively. Modus Operandi II is in that exact same style, where every sound serves its purpose. Svarog's remix making this EP nothing other than a perfect trip. That, in combination with the more aggressive remixes by Stanislav Tolkachev and Pursent, make this a truly versatile EP.

Penny Loafer comes as a strong combination of a striking bassline and harmonies, typical for Roland Appels idea of soulfull techno. Gonzo goes with the hunting bells and a shuffeling beat into a darker direction. The RMX transforms Gonzo into a techno monster, but let´s better say into a Recondite monster.

After the success of the 2 Late 4 Love EP, Roy Of The Ravers returns to Emotional Response with a double LP with a deeper perspective, experimenting in ambient and drone textures, lucid techno travails and acid interludes.

Recorded between 1997 and 2017, the album was pieced together over the last six months after Roy's archives were first feared lost and then found. Approached by the label to release a follow up with something more introspective and personal, it was discovered that a recent move to a new studio had led to over 20 years of music being misplaced after it was believed they were mistakenly dropped at a local charity store. However, deep in a box of what were thought to be patch cables were in fact the decades worth of hard drives and here presented, is a sample of those lost recordings.

The nature of the music is introspection, eschewing the acid beats and white noise for a personal encounter between man and machine. The orchestral opening of the title track gives way to the submarine beats, pulsing TB303 and gliding hats of Robinson College 10 to set the outlook to come. Even with the scattering A Dim And Distant Past waking lulled senses, the melodies and feel all lead to a pause and reflect rather than jump and shout.

This is continued with the haunting drives of Bounce Erec and Oriental X0X-Press; the twisted, warped jams of The Weber Traum Boat Pt.3, Ichi and Roland Corp Labs 05; and the beautiful, heartfelt odes in Sade Lost Theme, The Clock House Pt.2 and closer, Nemesis '01. The album's melodic nature hums and shines as CS (6x8) appears as much a centre piece as a alternative consideration to the acid tinged, club bangs of Roy's releases to date.
A surprise package maybe, but in the rolling, word of mouth phenomena that was Emotinium II, all this and more was sensed and so White Sunrise Music II, spreading across 12 songs of contrasting moods, is a further affirmation that there is something good and worthy of exploration.

BOY Records was founded by Michael Zosel back in 1987 but it was after a few releases that he started to work with producer Arno Müller. “Brian” by Absurd was the first techno release on the label and a great success in the German techno scene. The cooperation continued with singles by Hypnopedia and New Scene that worked very well and put the name of BOY Records in the charts and clubs all around Germany and abroad. In 1990 another massive success came with the single “Kennedy” by Deep Thought and since there the label did not stop to release hit after hit by lot of names like Time Modem, “O”, Cybex Factor, Sonic System, Moskwa TV, MCL and lot more.

After 6 cassettes Tapes Sublimating is back with their first vinyl EP: 'Venus' by Altered Natives. After releasing his excellent 8th album last year Danny still hasn't run out of ideas. Four tracks telling four stories in different scenes with the whole thing tied together by the tale-teller's trademark sounds and atmosphere with contribution from Budapest's AIWA on the closing track.
Opener 'Venus' is a journey itself. Taking you deeper and deeper to a menacing dungeon second by second. It is dark there. You get lost and unsure what is going to happen. Panic kicks in and you feel something is coming when suddenly... Catharsis. After a while you can open your eyes and get back on your feet. 'Acid Reign' is the most earthly of the four scenes. Everything seems clear for a minute, but then it slowly takes you away, losing your head again. Next scene: leaving the planet, outside the Earth orbit. 'Protohype' is floating in space. It is beautiful up there, but also scary and haunting. Finally AIWA takes you a few lightyears away, when everything becomes blurry and even less familiar. Silence. You only hear your heartbeat, when suddenly the drama continues. Be careful, no escaping this.

Banke returns to Token.

The Danish producer debuted on the label in 2018 with Totem - an EP of detailed, low-slung productions that highlighted the artist's keen ear for moody, undulating sequences & slick production techniques.

On his return, Banke ups the ante - increasing the tempo moderately and where previous work focused on inviting dance-floor hypnosis, Facelift makes classy peak time propulsion the order of the day.

The work maintains many of the sonic motifs associated with the Dane's production: firm, buoyant low end drives the music, working neatly in tandem with reduced percussive accents and more exposed, crystalline sequences that lift the recordings and offer new, expressive tones to the producer's growing discography.

In many ways lead track Facelift does what it says on the tin, and offers up the most intense experience on the EP. In equal parts as dense and moody as it is exhilarating and uplifting, the track is a fine example of how careful use of limited sonic components can generate extraordinarily affecting results in the right hands.

B1 Yellower continues to channel the feverish energy of the A side, making the most of a driven lead sequence that sits front and centre in the mix. A stylish piece of engineering that bridges the record with some style, offering an alternative but equally effective approach to the EP theme.

Closer Lark indulges in a similar energy, albeit tentatively more heads-down in its articulation - carefully constructed with particular attention paid to the groove and arranged exquisitely to generate a latent frenzy over its run-time.

UFO Inc. starts the new decade with fast, dark improv-techno tracks by the New York DJ, producer and singer Heidi Sabertooth. The four tracks on UFO4 are an impressive testimony to her passion for vintage gear and are the result of an interplay of mainly three machines with which she also plays live: Roland SH-101, Korg ESX2 Electribe and Yamaha DX200 - Sabertooth knows her tools inside and out by heart and tried on this EP to sound as "live" and spontaneous as possible. She plays her machines like instruments and want them to have some life and breath in them because she grew up playing all kinds of wind and string instruments and played in bands many years before she became a DJ. Her approach to making tracks is to capture as much live experimentation and weirdness as possible, while still making something that grooves and kicks on the dancefloor. She is not so concerned about making things perfect, in fact sometimes she intentionally try to disrupt things if it starts sounding too polished or square: ,,I like things to be human. I think you can feel it in the recording when the hands are touching the machine - it is human/machine/spirit connection.?This is why I named the EP as such - With The Void - this is how I like to create: jump into outerspace, into the unknown, with my machines and we all have an experience together - a cosmic electric dance - and that's when I hit the record button." On UFO4 you can definitely hear the fun she and her machines had in the recording process.

Detroit's John Beltran under his alias "Indio" was released on CD back in 1999 on Derrick May's Transmat label. We are very pleased to present you this fantastic album which have been remastered and will now be available for the first time on vinyl. A timeless journey of warm Detroit vibes from the start to the end...

When you listen to an Industrialyzer track, it doesn’t take long to figure out where his name comes from. These are soundscapes that instantly transport you someplace else, built for cavernous warehouses where regular rules don’t apply. The Portugal-born, Amsterdam-based producer born Ricardo Rodrigues maintains his consistent form on the Moonstone EP with four slamming tracks made for these very conditions.
The title track Moonstone beats you into oblivion with a relentless kick, distorted vocals relaying an urgent directive – “let’s get high” – and scuzzy, whipping synths. On Kontrol peals of synth cut through a thick mist of white noise and the ever-present kick, while one word, stuck on repeat, suggests the best kind of loss of “control”. Daily Nova is a more vibrant track, with housey chords laid over a pulsing beat to create a feeling of delicious unease. And on Psychic Overlays, Rodrigues wades back into darker waters in a pummelling peak time cut and assault on the senses. These are four pumping tracks perfect for sweaty techno bunkers.

Finally, Regis lets his rhythmic noise opus out into the world, a bruising and hauntingly absorbing album - his first since 2001 - dispatched on his pivotal label; Downwards.
On a masterful twenty-year followup to ‘Penetration’, Karl O’Connor yields a definitive solo LP that distills his passions for sonic brutalism and bastardised Chicago tracks with syncopated UK swagger and reverberating warehouse ballistics. Its lip-bitingly gripping effect is testament to a resounding reputation as one of Industrial music’s most influential producers, and sees the artist bring his own influences - from Test Department to Jeff Mills - into line with his potent palette of narcotised tones.
Recorded in Berlin with Einstürzende Neubauten’s producer/engineer Boris Wilsdorf, the album’s supple, spartan, and rhythmic gymnastics notably benefit from acres of icy room to roll around and lash out. Snagged around muscular bassline revs, and caressed with keys and vocals by postpunk catalyst Annie Hogan (whose recent turn for Downwards was a total revelation), the 9 tracks
portray Regis at his leanest and most mesmerising, which is all the more impressive coming from an artist who’s deliberately held his line through club music’s mutations for more than 30 years.
Between the razor-sharp electro of ‘Everything is Ahead of Us’, and the pure voodoo of ‘Calling Down A Curse’, he sharply carves a uniquely UK and shark-eyed style that lets on to influence from tech-step D&B and dark garage rolige as much as Test Department’s seminal ‘Beating The Retreat’ or 23 Skidoo and ‘Crackdown’-era Cabaret Voltaire.
Highlights such as the swingeing 11 minutes of swordplay drums and bubbling acid in ‘The Sun Rose Pure’, and the straightjacketed funk of ‘I See Fire’ epitomise the rudeness at play, and together with the viscerally personalised sound design virtues of ‘Another Kind of Love’, the immaculate noirish vignette ‘Alone of All Her Sex’, and the lush tristesse evoked by ‘Eros in Tangiers’, this album effectively defines Regis as peerless in his field, and is essential to fans of the artist’s solo classics and with British Murder Boys, Sandwell District, Ugandan Speed Trials and CUB.

REPRESS: 'If you want something done right, sometimes you just have to do it yourself'. In a world filled with false gurus and misguided leaders, so goes the mantra of the New York duo Walker & Royce. After a swift rise in recent years - during which time they pioneered a sound that is often imitated but never replicated - Sam Walker and Gavin Royce have used this mantra as the impetus for their debut album 'Self Help', on their label home Dirtybird.

In order to grow, one often has to look inward, and the pair set out on a trail of self-discovery and advancement. Their journey has resulted in a diverse album that evokes a range of emotion and fervor, one that can be appreciated both on the way to a club as well as feverishly dancing to it in one.

Walker & Royce's signature production is in exceptional form on their solo tracks, such as 'Why Tho', 'Warkin It', 'Best Track Ever' and 'Sunday'. The way they contrast heavy, low-end bass and beats with pristine melodies arises from the first thing they ask themselves when they fire up their studio: 'Will we play this'

The pair has also continued to push the boundaries of their minted formula for a bigger purpose, enlisting several distinct vocalists and collaborators to captivating effect. The legendary Green Velvet lends his vocal talent to 'Rub Anotha Dub', and longtime friend Dances With White Girls appear on two memorable tracks, including the hit single 'Take Me To Your Leader'. Other collaborators such as Sophiegrophy, OnCue, Forrest and Mr. JPatt each introduce their own individual elements to the album, rounding out the varied tones and feelings that comprise the 'Self Help' masterpiece.

The road to self-discovery is filled with many bumps and obstacles, but with 'Self Help', Walker & Royce have proven that they've got the keys and in the driver's seat.

DJ Varsovie's new EP takes place in September 2045, in a futuristic end of summer before we have to leave earth. The journey is supported by remixes from Anetha, Minimum Syndicat and Stephanie Sykes, each one gives a different perspective on this dystopic love story. Septemper EP is a double vinyl edition with a colored sleeve and the record is printed on 180 grams vinyl, some of the tracks are also in 45 RPM for maximum quality.

London imprint Drifted Records bring the heat with their second solo output in the catalogue. DR002 - Spirals EP, written by Dublin born, Berlin based wiz ‘New Members’, displays a distinct voyage of the beloved 90s era with a modern innovation.

Side A showcases the heavy, rolling drum patterns, airy dub chords and cleverly placed hats that you wanna’ be hearing at 4am on a packed dance floor, with both ‘Spirals’ and ‘Mythos’.

Flipping the record gives us something else entirely. B1 offers a silky, screw-faced stomper ‘No Mind’, which features samples from the great Alan Watts. Followed by a timeless edition to round off this latest instalment, B2 gifts us a gorgeous and percussive Jungle number entitled ‘Secrets’.

Here's a long overdue vinyl press of the sold out cassette collaboration between Brussels producers Roméo Poirier and Object Agency. "ATELIER / FERME" sees the pair combine trumpet, guitar, saxophone and an array of analogue synths on a series of sleek, heady instrumentals.

Recorded in Strasbourg, the A-side sees pin-sharp found sounds woven amongst cavernous clicks, pops and weirdly synthesised voices to form an addictive, technodelic bricolage. Think Domenique Dumont floating in a sensory deprivation tank, or Joe Hisaishi enjoying a fine wine tasting holiday in Alsace.

On the flip side we find rippling, live techno edits, all brooding orchestral stabs shot through folds of analogue organ, conjured from a snow-covered cabin. Recommended for fans of To Rococo Rot, YMO and Huerco S.

From the mid 90's until the present day The Advent (Cisco Ferreira) has been a constant inspiration and influence on Perc & Perc Trax, from early albums such as Elements of Life and it's all-star remix album Shaded Elementz to a seminal collection of remixes for New Order and a recent resurgence with releases on Klockworks, Cultivated Electronics and Cisco's own Kombination Research imprint.

Now The Advent debuts on Perc Trax with three tracks of classic mid-90's UK machine funk. 4/4 kicks overlaid with rushing rhythm patterns and filtered vocal hooks. From the deep grooves of Scorched and the drum machine workout of Night Shade through to the jabbing groove of Planting Seeds this release is both a trip back into one of the many golden ages of UK techno and also a way for Perc Trax to pay homage to one of it's heroes.

In a blitz session of blood curdling vocals, disarticulated fretwork and wickelly deranged lyricism, ‘One Hand Tommy’ sees The Imbeciles tell us the tale of: Tommy; a child trapped in a dystopian landscape of nuclear annihilation with only a giant killer snake for company.

‘One Hand Tommy’ is the latest exhilarating track to be released from The Imbeciles self-titled debut album - out now. Comprising 13 imploded songs which rarely last more than two minutes, the album was recorded on tape in eight deranged days on the Texan-Mexican border. “Four Rooms” is a new ambitious project curated by Cyb which includes four mesmerizing tracks by Kessell, Blazej Malinowski, Temudo & Hitam and Cyb. The ep will be printed in a limited vinyl edition of 200 copies.

Kicking off 2021 in KOC’s teeming keepnet comes courtesy of Roza Terenzi & Fantastic Man under the guise of production unit B’Zircon.

First up is Nehuen, an Argentinian born but Barcelona based artist who is notorious for his abrasive dance floor workouts on I Love Acid, BNR Trax and the Classicworks label he co-owns with Cardopusher. Cardopusher is, of course, a true electronic legend from Venezuela. His dizzyingly diverse sound takes in rave, acid, electro, techno and house influences and distills them into hugely
Raw and energetic new forms.

Nehuen's Psyops Part One kicks off with the excellent title track, which contorts acid and electro into a writhing monster filled with dark energy. The visceral 'Toxic' is built on slapping hits and spangled basslines that will tie you in knots as the bumping drums drive things forward. The late-night menace continues on 'Bailar', with tight synth arps layered up in robotic forms over clunky drums that are industrial and futuristic in equal measure. Last but not least, the eerie 'Desire' strikes a more twisted note with double kicks juddering beneath echoing hits. It's pure, filthy, brilliant body music.

Cardopusher kicks off Part Two with the fantastic 'Disobedience' (feat. Lbeeze) a slow-motion drum workout that is like dark disco mangled through a psychedelic filter, with robotic vocals and stiff arp
jerking your body. 'Abyss Antidote' is then a flurry of drum breaks and electro bass, frazzled synths and whipping hits that keep you on the edge of your seat. Darkness abounds on the gritty 'Initial Decay' (ft. Lbeeze), which layers up taught drums and hits with spraying synths that come from a dystopian planet.

Closing out this epic mini-series is 'Mutant Brain', a cyborg techno meltdown with manic acid for
company.

These are devilishly distorted tracks from two of the best producers around.

LP2 continues his exploration of emotive, dreamy atmospheres, soaked with rich pads and otherworldly arpeggios, juxtaposing it with hectic drum machines, deep bass lines and unusual sampling - evoking industrial music. It’s a slightly warmer and in a way more soothing album than LP1, but at the same time more dance-oriented as well, at some point reminiscent of Earth Trax’s early deep house singles. It’s a fascinating insight in world building, extending the author’s ideas from previous records (either as Earth Trax or Bartosz Kruczyński downtempo releases) much further and treating them more as a starting point rather than reusing them. LP2 again features the gorgeous photography of Kasia Zacharko and design of Kaja Kukuła.

German trio FJAAK return with their sophomore album entitled "Havel" LP, dropping on their eponymous label this November.

Obscurum is a two man outfit based in Fuerth, Germany. Formed by Roland L. and D. Blaze, who have collaborated musically together since 1995. They also own the following labels: E-Com, Exalt and Seico Corp. Known for their preference for minimal Detroit Techno music, they command international credibility. Dark electronics and pumpin techno with an industrial tinge. Several releases on E-Com/Exalt/Seico Corp. unite their typical style of production which puts the mechanical part of their music in the front row. Functionality without any compromise.

Mission Statement:
In the Tape Studio, one of the most essential processes is the combination of one sound with another, or with many others to produce a new, composite sound. This process known as additive synthesis, is made possible from a digital and analog source. This process can have two results: (1) a single, more complex output in which the various input signals have lost their individual identities while creating a new sound (more or less analogous to the blending of colors); or (2) a texture with various individual components occurring simultaneously but distinctively. Since 1996, the Mechanisms Industries Tape Studio has been guided by composer Fanon Flowers and several anonymous associates.

"Transparent Ray" relies on a cosmic sequenced line, growing and evolving over a dry kick drum while additional percussive layers run on top.

"Solarized" starts with a solid groove and gated synth sounds that change in shape as the minutes go. Liquid but raw at the same time.

"Opposite" is built upon an asymmetrical beat combining digital bleeps and filtered 808 snares spiced with delays and reverbs, a mixing tool in essence.

As a digital bonus track, "Generator", fat bass drums, continuous percussive components in various layers, plus occasional synth action.

Following their debut compilation last year, Accidental Meetings are back with their first album by Vancouver-based artist, wzrdryAV aka Kelly Nairn.

The tape is a tale of two sides, one beats, one beatless. Using field recordings, audio collage, sound object manipulation, synths & samples, Nairn explores his extensive repertoire.

Side A explores the groovier, rhythmic side of Nairn. While deliberate melodies are uncommon, repeating fragments of chords and foggy loops combine in a pulsating way. Touching on Detroit techno & Jamaican dub throughout, Nairn creates trance-inducing mini jams from start to finish. Side B leans more on Nairn's granular synthesis side. With fragments of field recordings scattered over drones & layered tones that manifest themselves in the most unexpected ways.

LILIES welcomes fellow Swedish artist Billie Jo onto its roster for the labels seventh release.

Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden, Billie Jo is a DJ and producer with material on the likes of Spencer Parker's Work Them Records and Vincent Neumann's Unitas Multiplex. The past few years have seen Billie Jo steadily making her mark on the Stockholm underground scene and here we see the release of her third EP to date via DJ Lily and Sailor Juul's LILIES imprint.

"Dubbla Slag" leads with thunderous kicks, jolting percussive chimes and Jo's own hypnotic vocal chants ebbing and flowing amongst crunchy drums and a pulsating low- end drive "Du får mitt hjärta att slå dubbla slag" - You make my heart skip a beat. "Faller' follows next, embracing a similarly raw aesthetic courtesy of a gritty, dynamically evolving rhythm and intricately processed vocal murmurs, once again from Billie, uttering "Jag faller - så fånga mig" - "I'm falling - so catch me".

On the flip-side label bosses Sailor Juul and DJ Lily deliver their "Wellness Remix", embracing a more menacing feel with heavily distorted bass tones, driving drums and the original vocal line throughout. DJ Lily then goes solo for his take on 'Faller", again adding an even more vigorous feel to things via rave tinged drum breaks, distorted bass stabs and vacillating vocal tones.

For the inaugural EP, FOLD resident Gareth Wild presents "Common Assault". With metallic tubular synthesis, cut-throat percussion and rolling rhythms, this EP is an effective and essential piece of material demonstrating all angles of Techno, immersive to peak-time.

The release features three original tracks and two locked grooves from Gareth with stripped back, dark-side remix work from Madrid's very own Roll Dan.

Featuring bespoke, full colour cover art by designer Lion Sauterleute and pressed up on coloured neon wax the release lands 25th September at all good outlets.

First ever release from Tokyo underground label STICQ Records…

Manchester based Rudosa has been around for almost a decade, quietly building a nice catalog of releases signed to Intec, Suara and Second State. Not to forget collecting multiple Beatport top 10s and support from iconic producers including Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, ANNA, and Amelie Lens. His no nonsense approach to Techno lead to this debut 4 track release on Terminal this September, after his debut on the labels VA earlier this year.
Opening with the title track ‘Heavy Rotation’, it’s an emotionally charged, acidic roller. Warehouse drums and wild open hats playfully minge with sharp pads, vocals and stabs. ‘Primo’ continues apace. Stadium-sized sonics and a kettle drum kick drive the track as it thunders on into the dark recesses of the club. ‘Delusions’ is a trippy, trancey cut. Wild melodics weave among the sparse percussive layers creating a softer, but no less engaging mid-set showstopper. Finally, ‘Adapted’ ties up the EP in epic fashion. A very rounded release package that offers a ton of energy with depth.

For their tenth anniversary, Lucidflow return to physical media with a value packed slice of wax. Klartraum and co-owner Nadja Lind feature, alongside production behemoth D. Diggler, Klartraum partner Helmut Ebritsch and special guest slot for returning artist Spettro.

Nadja leads off at full tilt with a high energy workout on 'Holistic Kit', teaming tumbling drums with sci-fi synths and poignant key changes. With high tempo techno and the return of synth led music being a key theme from 2018, this is absolutely on the money. Pairing with the usually rambunctious D. Digger, 'Mekong Delta' is more contemplative. Named after the Vietnamese region, the track is as hypnotically undulating as the river that runs through it.

Then, joining up with fellow Lucidflow co-owner Helmut Ebritsch, 'Weltenwandler' is a typical Klartraum workout. Ocean deep, the key aspect to lock on to here is the rising and falling dub chord that underpins the track. It goes from a supporting rhythmic tone to lynchpin of the evolving melody which creeps in sneakily as the track evolves. Finishing off the release is 'Lunch With Kerri' from Spettro. The Little Helpers and Get Physical artist returns to Lucidflow with a particularly on point piece of jazz flecked broken down techno. Full of energy, it is a crackling highlight, and a little taster of what is to come from this artist on Lucidflow in the near future.

The third release on Raw Basics is a collaborative effort from Basic Rhythm and the inimitable Lamont.

On the A side we have Hard Shoulder. Starting with an electro groove and meditative synth line, pausing for a moment to drop in a head nodding bass stab to accentuate the percussion before bringing in a gritty percussive roll and flair evoking Detroit and Chicago but with a contemporary twist. Hard Shoulder is a modern electro roller with energy to spare.

On the B side is Spring Back, a deeper more melodic affair that opens with a distorted chime melody, bringing to mind children nursery rhymes, before stripping back to clear simple percussion and bass stab. The track rolls along, dipping in and out of the melody line and playing with the time signature, before bringing in a deep sub bass and switching the groove up. This is space age bass music!

To coincide with the announcement, the pair have shared a video for the album’s title track directed by Sam Davis and Tom Andrew, who has previously received two UK Music Video Awards nominations for his work with Avery. Speaking about the video, Andrew explains, “We were keen to capture a visual representation of the tempo and atmospheric emotion of the track and make a video exploring the notion of collaboration. A super-motion approach allowed us to explore details of motion shared between two people, in tactile actions of aiding and supporting.” Cortini adds, “The video embodies the volatility and hidden nature of the music’s subject and meaning. A meaning that is ultimately personal and unique the listener/spectator.” Watch the clip .



Beginning as a collaborative experiment before the pair had even met, Avery and Cortini then worked remotely and free of concept or deadline over several years. The result, finally completed when both artists were touring with Nine Inch Nails in 2018, is a quietly powerful album rooted in trust, process and experimentation. The first fruits of their labour were unveiled last year when ‘Water’ and ‘Sun’ appeared online, subsequently released as a very limited 7” run that was sold at FYF Festival and Mount Analog in Los Angeles, and Phonica Records in London. Both tracks are included on the album.



“It was very much a shared process”, notes Avery. “I would like to credit Alessandro with his belief that music has a life of its own, as well as the importance he places on the first take... That even something that may be considered out-of-step by some should be respected. Some of the tracks were borne simply out of a tiny synth part, or a bit of tape hiss that we had recorded. And that approach taught me a lot. It’s a record that’s been worked on hard, but not laboured over.”



“I was a big fan of Daniel’s, and his work always spoke to me in a certain way,’’ explains Cortini. “Then, when we started working together, it just clicked. It’s very hard to explain, but I can always hear the love in his work, and that is true on this record. After our first collaboration, we just kept sending each other music and maintaining that dialogue. Next thing you know, we’re sitting in a hotel room in New York and had finished the record in three hours.”



The collaborative album follows Avery’s second record Song For Alpha, released in early 2018, and last year’s expanded edition B-sides & Remixes. Mixmag called the sophomore LP “A beautiful maturation of Avery’s work as a producer,” while The Guardian hailed its “Majestic, cavernous techno” and Loud & Quiet praised Avery as “A producer fast approaching the peak of his powers,” “This album cements Daniel Avery as one of the best,” wrote DIY. The London-based producer will perform at BBC Radio 3’s Unclassified Live on April 3rd, a new series of concerts in the Southbank Centre's Queen Elizabeth Hall presented by Unclassified host and presenter Elizabeth Alker and conducted by André de Ridder – tickets are available here. Avery has also just been announced in the first wave of acts for London festivals Re-Textured and the inaugural Wide Awake, taking place in April and June respectively.



Cortini released his most recent solo album Volume Massimo on Mute in July 2019, following Fine, the Italian artist’s final album under his SONOIO alias, which came out the previous year. The Quietus called the former “an album that showcases just how much Cortini‘s aesthetic has developed since his early days,” while Exclaim! hailed it “a melodic exploration of textures and layers … an instrumental masterpiece that adds to an already incredible body of work by the gifted and skilled composer.”

In addition, the piece "Mutuus" reveals an enchanting and so far unique collaboration between Markus Guentner and Joachim Spieth, after the two musically shaped Wolfgang Voigt's first release of the compilation series "Pop Ambient" more than 20 years ago.
