For its seventh release, Baud delves into deep techno territory, courtesy of Munich-based producer LaChriz. With previous releases on Dario and Marco Zenker's Illian Tape and on Woods 'N Bass and Outelectronic Recordings, LaChriz has been honing his craft, producing straightforward techno music with an edge, an often sublimated dub techno influence and an ambient feel.
His first E.P. for Baud features the voraciously clubby 'Nothing Goes To Waste', an undeniable dancefloor monster that starts swirling around itself with its hypnotic chords and a subtle melodic counterpoint. From thereon after, LaChriz takes a more introspective route, delivering three tracks that capture the melancholy and abstraction of the late night. Rhythmically trickier and melodically more layered, they give this record its balanced feel without detaching it from adventurous dancefloors. Baud 07 is a techno release at heart and as such has a classic techno edge. Its classy production and smart programming propel it into the future.

Perc Trax is proud to welcome the Serbian / Italian duo of Scalameriya and VSK to its ranks. The Perc Trax Ltd imprint is the most dance floor focused of Perc Trax's three labels and 'Haka' fits the bill perfectly. Already a key track in Perc's sets for a long time, it has provided many a memorable moment at his larger festival gigs and follows up a similarly powerful EP by the pair on Bintus' infamous Power Vacuum label.

Delivering the B1 remix is Mord main man Bas Mooy, who returns to Perc Trax for the first time since his 'Room At The End' EP back in 2012. Bas transforms 'Haka' into a driving heads down rhythm track, removing some of the more extravagant touches of the original mix without losing any of its energy.

The duo close the EP with 'Cydonia', a jabbing electro industrial fusion that switches from 4/4 kicks to broken electro rhythms with ease.

Albert van Abbe has truly gained momentum this year with his new self-titled label VANABBE, a successful Berghain live debut as well as releases on Shipwrec and now Trolldans. And you can tell! This Trolldans release is filled with confidence and lucidity. The term Ostinato refers to a continuously repeated musical pattern. It's usually used in reference to classical music, but is well suited here. This Ostinato, this stubbornness, gives the music a sense of pace and propulsion. Yet - as ever with Trolldans - there is a kind of melancholy present too. But it's a kind of melancholy that gives one strength rather than tears; a melancholy that makes your jaws clench in resolution. Look at John Bauer's ancient Mountain King on the cover. He has been dwelling there on the top of the mountain for so long that he himself has become part of it. His back is bent and his eyes are dim. But the air is changing; it's getting clearer and crisper and alluring melodic fragments are floating through it, reaching the King's overgrown ears. Suddenly for the first time for many decades he is overwhelmed by the impulse of standing up. The forest itself senses the King's intentions and starts pulsating with rhythms, urging him on. He grips the mountain side with his giant hands and raises his head, breathing deeply. It is time. This sense of determination and clarity is what Albert Van Abbe manages to convey with this Trolldans release. The Mountain King was moved by Ostinato. As should you.

German producer Array Access has been making beats since 2010. His latest piece of work, a beautiful four-track EP entitled 'Variations', is scheduled for release on a new label, Ressort Imprint.

'Variations' consists of two tracks, two remixes and a hard-hitting bonus track.

The two original tracks entitled 'Variations' illustrate this young producer's passion from the very first minute and take us on a cruise through rough beats while floating on airy synthesizer sounds at the same time.

Additionally to that, the remixers did their best to keep the beauty vivid. The Swedish producer Evigt Morker stays true to his style and serves an interpretation fitting foggy clubs and misty forests alike while Eomac defends his reputation as being one of the most interesting artists these days with a take that is deeply anchored in modern electronica.

Berlin-based producer Lapien serves up an atmospheric three tracker on Radio Slave's Rekids.
Also known as Metropolis or one half of Artefakt, Nick Lapien's last three releases have landed on Finale Sessions, Fred P's Soul People Music and DVS1's Mistress Recordings. Releasing on Rekids, the multifaceted Dutch artist's next outing features three mesmerising cuts with the dusky 'A Change Is Gonna Come' initiating the package using infectious hats, subtle sub-bass and an indistinguishable vocal that ebbs subtly in and out of the mix.
'As It Is' is the most robust number on the package with its undulating percussion and moody chords taking centre stage, until 'Vexed' concludes everything with gloomy pads, shuffling hats and echoing effects.

The story of Turmfalke continues, this time featuring Helly Larson with a great dub flavoured track called "Rescue Me" programmed in a deep downtempo manner and acompannied by an acidish remix of Matthias Springer. The original of Matthias comes based on detroit elements and a gentle 303 string while Helly's remix made it into a synthesis of deep techhouse and directly into the playlist of Mr. Hawtin!

Oliver Deutschmann is a producer that needs no introduction. Over the last 15 years, his reputation as a producer and DJ has seen continued growth down to, quite simply, his pure passion, diverse track selection and an unambiguous mixing ability.

He has lit up both rooms of world-renowned clubbing institute, Berghain, where he has played dozens of times since first playing there almost ten years ago. Whilst keeping up with this kind of extensive touring schedule, and being heavily invested in his own productions, the Berlin based artist also finds the time to take the helm of four imprints: Vidab, Falkplatz, Slim Audio and the vinyl only imprint GKNSTR.

Beyond his own labels though he has released on Soma, Aim, Etruria Beat, Mobilee, and now returns to Swiss imprint, Caduceus, following his Breakdown EP last year.

In a recent interview with Inverted Audio, Deutschmann summed up his clear, dancefloor focussed approach which can be heard on Flangers, stating I don't really care about any achievement. They (the tracks) have to rock the floor and be timeless. This new EP sets that straight right away, laying out the agenda for what is to follow.

Flangers opens with the dark, gravelly, brooding, and heads down techno of the title track - a lengthy, spacious workout which manages still to cut a deep groove despite it's direct driving force. Similarly, 'Beast' paces itself, slowly unfolding all of its treasures as it grows, swells and shapeshifts over the course of just over five minutes of sustained tension.

On the flip, two heavyweight producers step up to the remix: Germany's Markus Suckut and Dutch producer, Jeroen Search. Suckut's interpretation of Flangers keeps much of the understated groove and tension of the original whilst dipping it in a more shrouded cloak of murky techno. Jeroen Search on the other hand pitches up the pace with a crisp, high-hat driven dive into the deep.

Celebrating 10 years as a label, Rekids founder Radio Slave delivers a mesmerizing production with a remix from Ostgut Ton's Marcel Dettmann.
Since its birth in 2006 Matt Edwards' Rekids has played host to some of today's most renowned names in house and techno, including the likes of Nina Kraviz, Roman Flu¨gel, Shed and Mr. G. With releases on the likes of R&S and Running Back, Radio Slave is one of the world's finest producers, whose dance-floor focused cuts earned him the title of Resident Advisor's most charted artist of 2015.
Radio Slave's 'Vision' is a dusky number possessing popping kicks and ebbing pads that meander forward as a murky voice proclaims the track title. Meanwhile, Marcel Dettmann's remix distorts the original whilst emphasising the low-end to give it a dark and ominous aesthetic.

The Sixth Release on Alan Fitzpatrick's Explore, Search and Discover label. Alan Fitzpatrick recruits fellow Southampton talent Rhymos, to provide the soundtrack on this techno heavy release.
Backed with two solid remixes from the legend that is Steve O'Sullivan, this one is set to be a biggie.....

This year experienced the birth of Frazer Campbell's deeper imprint Elliot project recordings . The London based label launched back in spring with a real statement piece, composed of detailed minimal, late night seductive twinkles and a drone styled techno piece. The labels projected thought process for the future is to navigate through a varied soundscape of deeper excursions and thoughtful techno. This second EP with two originals from Frazer, also includes a remix from highly Respected UK musician Tom Ellis who increases the heat on the track 'light' with a energetic but thoughtful techno re work.

The intensity of Neznan his personality and talent made us decide to go all the way for this release. His story is remarkable and feels like a paradox. His musical ability is full of details and his creativity is a perfect match with Float. If you take your time to understand his visions and incomprehensible ideas we're sure you will love this piece of art as much as we do.

Way too many words will get spilled if we're going to describe every single track. The tracks are filled with the tiniest details without them ever sounding complex. His love for the oldskool elements and techniques blends well with his forward thinking approach. Above this all we have 2 splendid Jeroen Search remixes. One is included on the vinyl. Electric Pressure is an Athens(Greece) based label founded in 2015.
The debut vinyl release features 3 hardware centered, acidic techno oriented tracks from Worker/ parasite and a remix from Clouds.
Worker/ parasite is an Oakland, CA based artist, much known for his stomping acidic hardware productions.
Clouds tip in with a heavily sampled remix, balancing perfectly between techno and noise.

Shelter is our latest release from Clint Stewart and it's a benchmark in the catalog as it's the first time any of our releases have included a remix. And, for that remix, we showed no restraint, commissioning our very own, man of the hour, Stephan Hinz. As you dive into the first cut off the EP, 'Shelter', you instantly begin to take an excursion into the ethereal. Shimmers of distant audible light flicker in the backdrop as a hypnotic pulse tightens its grip, strapping you in for a trip deep into celestial territory. Long single blasts of deep bass and racing percussion thrust you further into the void until you're far from your point of origin. 'Shelter' is a journey into the vast, ever expanding reaches of impassioned sonics ideal for deeper dance floor antics.
On the flip is 'L714' and much like 'Shelter' it's a cosmic ride, but differs in the fact that it is exceedingly relentless. Eery string like tones and massive low end bursts set the stage for a narcotic, swirling lead that parallels a comet hurtling through the ether. Bits of it falling apart and leaving a visible tail of particles in it's wake creating the ideal flip to 'Shelter'. Where both originals may have left something to be desired for those who want it heavy, Stephan Hinz fills that void. While staying undeniably true to the original 'L714', he adds only what he felt was missing. Taking the original to new heights with colossal drums and tension displayed with the arrangement of a cinematic masterpiece derived from another world. Overall, the 'Shelter Ep' is a complete package, hitting all emotions and leaving nothing to be desired no matter the time or situation.

* Blackwater is honoured and proud to present a very special release, in our production catalogue number as 'BWL000', released digitally and on vinyl in a very limited edition. A single side EP with a screen-print on the reverse with a suggestive image of the sea of 'Capalbio', a town intimately connected with the rise of Blackwater Society.

* Devianza version is a slow, deep and sentimental piece that opens and closes with the sound sampling of the sea taken during the summer 2014. The piece was also written following the musical structure according to the Fibonacci pattern creating a particular rhythmic structure in the central part of the piece. Follows PRG / M version, tool track of high calibration and invoice, definitely more suited to the dance floor for a set with hypnotic and deep veins. Closes the EP Phorm with his experimental version, an high quality production, as usual for him on Blackwater, that put the hat on top of the entire EP giving a complete spectre of selection for the listener.

Camea steps out of the shadows and heads towards Never where as her new imprint lands this Spring. The Seattle born-Berliner local first became known in 2005 when she started one of the minimal techno era's most illustrious labels, Clink Recordings. Now she comes forth with a new label that was inspired by her highly acclaimed Bpitch Control single of the same title, which she subsequently furthered with her monthly syndicate show, Never where Radio. NWR has had many guests contributing DJ mixes as well as her own, and has received a strong international following. For the first release, Camea has produced three elegant yet driving tracks showing her ever broadening sound. Most artists try to define themselves in one genre, but she feels most comfortable in the space in between them, and aims to focus the concept of Never where to be a place for just that. All things in between; less definition and more imagination. Her many years of production and DJ experience shine through on this EP, and defines her statement of who she is as an artist today.

DSC is enjoying its most productive year to date, and its not even half way through. Cliche Morph is a mysterious new entity, debuting with Liquid Materia. The title track melts streams of melody, chords dissolve in currents as a steady thump tries to tame the sonorous swash. Claudio PRC, of Prologue fame, interprets the tides of the original. Aquatic ambience floods speaker as sounds are kept below the waves in a dream state. "Impulse Inside Mechanism" pulls you further into the haunted machinery of Cliche Morph. Wraithlike harmonies ache, ghosting between steady percussion for a work of palpable emotion. That tactile quality comes to the fore with "Alternative Solution." Rhythms are given extra girth, bass lines given extra room as strings swim before they soar. First run on purple black marbled vinyl.

Soniculture continues its series of underground releases with tracks from famous artists that are on a secret mission. B1 is a techno builder that evolves from beginning to end and is aimed to ignite madness on the dance floors. Beware! Contains hazardous ingredients. "Monotron" is an euphoric outburst echoed through pounding space rains and metallic sounds, brought together in a muscular syncope, marking the freedom of our true animal nature, not enclosed in an oppressive cage anymore.

Easy to resist these non-formulaic jack tracks in the days of conformist dance music cause its not the tunes that will make your crew do the fist pump thing during the weekly big headliner rave... but we like!! Mr Read is funky as fuck and reminds us a bit of dutch Techno punks Unit Moebius (which is always a good thing!!).

The label's first reference, HOODED001, is a two tracks EP called "Los Dinosaurios" by Personal Mythologies. The two cuts have been recorded from live improvs by the artist. The A Side, homonym to the title of the EP is a slow, rugged and abrasive techno jam that passes the 11 minutes mark. The second extract, "Cuando Los Dinosaurios Dominan La Tierra" is an ambient odissey of fourteen minutes that features a static melody around which different melodic and rhythmic elements are developed.

Berlin. March 2016. Berlin duo Soukie & Windish are releasing their second long-player work 'Loom' on their home label 'URSL Records' this coming May.
An album for the moment, Looming its way through our moves with its dreamy, escapist moods. Loom carries accents of dirty micro-pop while managing to be both upbeat and deep simultaneously. It is an album of tension — pushing out through every carefully selected drum and every distant, distorted synth line. It marks the moment when you decide not to go home.

Five metal-heavy cuts on a clean plate from the still mysterious The Hague based burrow. Comes in all-white all with psychoactive inlay tissue.

Four tracks of diverse and different techno make up Deep Sound Channel's first compilation. Past alumnus Tripeo returns with the hulking tribalism of "Raz." Breaks are built and rebuilt, demolished and razed in this gritty thumping workout. Najem Sworb, of Clone and AI fame, is up next with the warbling atmospherics of "Io Ice" before Matt TdK delivers the frigid and frosted "4714." The finale is a smouldering sign off. Jelle Groen, under his Modular Scapes alias, serves a brooding acid infused piece bathed in 90s IDM flows. Limited to 250 coloured copies in a printed sleeve.

The now well established and widely respected Will & Ink label hits release number eight with a debut collaborative effort from Yaleesa Hall and Malin Genie. They serve up three tracks after having both released individually on this label before. With forceful grooves, earth moving kick drums, well swung wood block hits and watery pads, this is perfect warehouse music once again from the Will & Ink label.

Enigmatic storied character, Argentine producer Leonel Castillo unveils yet another moniker with this new eponymous 77KS series. Remaining the best-kept secret the Latin American electronic music scene has brought forward so far, Leonel is an icon and at the same time virtually unknown.

A stylistic chameleon and an ultra talented jack-of-all-trades, he is hard to pinpoint, and even harder to categorize. Surfacing at random, he's been releasing music as Leonel Castillo and under various aliases - Arnold Slab, Boeing or Unknown Artista are some of his monikers - on labels as diverse as Ilian Tape, Sushitech, Airdrop and his own imprint Groovear.

We haven't heard Dark Sky as smooth as with 'Rainkist' on any of their previous EP releases. The sheer genius of the bassline makes this a gem of a modern soul ballad. It's melodic elegance is gleaming through the track like shining chrome. Hazy falsetto vocals make the song drip of sweat and sex. Both remixers recognize the yearning potential of this beauty of a track but work it very differently.

The Trevino remix adds sci fi synths and electro snares and claps and turns Rainkist into a captivating slow burner perfect for long build ups.

Marcel Dettman's slowly evolving remix pitches the harmonies of the longing vocals to pair them with a pumping sub bass and extends the suspense - packed intro into a pumping techno track that drops at 3:30 and flips it into an absolute dancefloor killer. This is going to be a huge dancefloor hit. Hotly tipped to spearhead the years end polls for best remixes in 2014.

Yeah is the fun dj tool of the EP. After it's techno intro, Yeah drops into a bright flangered bouncing bass that takes you by surprise.Overall this EP show's that Tsvi has matured as a producer taking his sound to a new standard that sets him apart from the rest of the scene and is without a doubt one of the major players to look out for in 2016 alongside Wallwork, Lokane and all the rest of the Nervous Horizon squad.

There is no general ethical or aesthetic decision to be formed about CLONES, since you have already imbibed them ever since your first bite. Thus, you are not in a neutral or otherwise preliminary position, but already involved, kneedeep. It may not be a coincidence that the first mammals, warm-blooded egg-layers and small marsupials, date almost exactly to the period of the first flowers, evolving some 125 million years ago. Quick-thinking, vegetable eating mammals provide a most striking example of cooperation in evolution, as their interest in plant foods led them to become well-fed. A bond has been formed. Seedless plants, like banana and oranges, have made a most remarkable dispersal strategy: season after season, human growers CLONE them. The plants are perpetuated because they taste so good. And that's about it. Much has been said about Elektro Guzzi's aptitude in transcending their instrumental sources towards techno of unlikely beauty, pristine consistency and razor-sharp definition. New York's Marcos Cabral has not so quietly been creeping up on unsuspecting victims of modern electronic music through the last years. His project as Chemotex for Trilogy Tapes singlehandly executed a type of out of sync shuffle jack not seen since the days or early Rush or even Cajual which have had floorboard pulling effects in clubs when dropped. TIP!
Under his birth name, Cabral released a double lp of archive material on L.I.E.S. in 2013 which slipped under the radar yet set a precedent of what was to come as he took his sound back to his roots. An ep and a half plus some comp tracks later (you may have heard Dancing on Manhattan on Ben UFO's essential mix) and Cabral has now delivered a fully realized lp of material for 2015 the aptly titled "Buried Alive Twice"

Buried Alive Twice will not send you slam jacking to death, but rather slowly deliver you to the furthest ends of your mind. It's a subtle trip that if you're not careful will leave you smack in the middle of a Hanna Barbarra bizzaro world episode wondering how to get out of its twisted reality.
It swims, sinks, pushes, pulls, drives, crashes, gets sent to the hospital, gets operated on and sent home through these six songs. One may think this is a lot to deal with and well, yes, it is....

Budapest scene lynchpin, S. Olbricht debuts on Lee Gamble's UIQ label with a sweetly compatible quartet of chiming ambient techno and woozy house trax in the wake of his latest Lobster Theremin LP, For Perfect Beings.
As the label's 4th release after 12's by N1L, Zuli, Lanark Artefax - also counting the recent launch of Lee G's UIQ Inversions series, the ZZM EP rolls deeper into those lip-smacking,
thizzing ends of the night with a key subtlety and firm-but-light touch that works so well on tenderised minds and bodies.
These tracks rank among S Olbricht's most seductive and hypnagogic. From the Terence Dixon-like harmonic suspension systems of 137x3brk and the ruddier, out-of-reach rumble and flickering rim shots embedded in the chasmic headspace of Ktyring on the A-side, thru to wire-woolly texture and glowing chord filaments laced into the 110bpm slug, J_UC.
Finally, the gracefully tilted techno elevation Floa1 which could easily be mistaken as the work of label boss Lee Gamble closes the rotations of side B.

Reflecting on a world much unchanged, even intensified since his last dispatch, Media In The Service of Terror works classic VS signatures measured with increased momentum and propulsive energy, divided into seven parts and imbued with that dramatic melodic arrangements that works beyond the club.
Stepping farther away from the 'floor, he's in scowling, contemplative form with Ziad Jarrah Studied Mathematics and at his best when working between spheres, as with the industrial reggaeton roil of Take Vows in both its versions, and particularly the pensile atmosphere of Interrogation Mosaic.

Keith Worthy The Price of Non-Conformance Long established Detroit talent Keith Worthy traverses a fine line between deep, bumpy house and raw techno on his debut double album, The Price of Non-Conformance. T.P.O.N.C. is a conceptual project that takes you on a virtual walk through the streets of Detroit. From a musical standpoint, the sound and feel of T.P.O.N.C. aligns with Worthy's own DNA, a complex blend of house and techno, and all while incorporating a degree of fantasy into every composition.

Enter 2016 - Fresh out of the Midwest Keith Worthy (Detroit), Jamal Moss aka Hieroglyphic Being (Chicago), and Steven Tang (Chicago) bringing some of that notorious Midwest D.N.A. on this deep acid banger! This limited quantity release is sure to be a collectors classic!

This polyrhythmic swirl of drum machine, tape echo and locked grooves is the product of two post-1982 jam sessions between an anonymous DJ and drum machine operator duo. The DJ liked the way a record happened to skip. More were made to do so. The drum machine operator had had a bit too much, but he knew that 100 divided by 3 was 33 - and he was feeling the toms that night. File under: Funky Experimental.

None of the Above aka N/O/T/A is an escape from reality plan. Made in between London and Toronto, it joins Dinamo Azari (AZARI & III) and Mixhell's Laima Leyton and Iggor Cavalera (SEPULTURA). Eager to collaborate and make music in a non compromised way, the trio brought together live and electronic drum beats, strong bass lines, unexpected samples and dark synths to an unknown place. It is none of the genres we are listening to nowadays but it still brings together a live feeling of techno, industrial and acid.

New York techno producer Shawn O'Sullivan makes his return to L.I.E.S. under his Vapauteen moniker.
After an amazing release on Avian as 400ppm and a collaborative effort on The Corner with Beau Wanzer, here we get O'Sullivan turning down the bpms and slowly crushing everything in sight. The a-side provides three tracks of unforgiving modular slowcore beat electronics which trudge their way to the grave, while the b-side is strictly about power electronics and harsh tone work outs. Sure to piss off someone on the internet or better yet, in real life.

The Echt Walle Traxx sound like driving a rented car in the shadow of the TV-tower through Bremen-Walle, bringing back the empty crates of beer from last night's outdoor rave, craving for champagne breakfast while being lovesick and exhausted, and it's raining outside (slightly).

"made of CONCRETE" release number 11 sees a joint effort from Danny Kotz and Avi Caspi in the form of an incursion into the deep end of spacious techno.
"Reject" unfolds steadily, as spatial loops intertwine with piercing zippy synths. The laid back melodic outline is aptly layered with sombre French vocals by Laurie Eve Jasmine de Larohe which giving the track a mysterious yet groovy appeal.
Starting off with a subdued bassline, "Canopy" follows a slowly ascending groove, as progressive synths and wavy hooks further the track into deep tech territory.
For the B side, Myles Sergé swiftly jumps in on the "Reject" remix, stripping down its embellishing elements and shifting focus towards the bassline. What ensues is a compact backdrop where the bass and percussion take the lead, resulting in an intensely danceable reinterpretation of the original.
Stepping away from the murky ambiance present in previous tracks, "Karat" boosts a slightly more vivacious range of harmonics. Energetic synths set a peppy, 70s-reminiscing mood, while the melody keeps the cut anchored into present day electronica.

The man behind the track that Move D proclaimed "owned the dome at freerotation" , returns with 3 new tracks of deep machine grooves, his first release since 2013's Analogue Mapping. "Frey'd" is built around a synth patch stumbled upon whilst conducting a test on one of bovill's machines with rennouned Synth engineer Frey Smith. Opening with playful ,bubbling analogue tones and nostelgic pads, before characteristic basslines, percussion and 303 lines join in, ending on a spaced out contemplative groove . " L.A.T. " is a more stripped down track, which ebbs and flows around subtle builds, tweeks, and delays, perfect for the deeper late night dancefloor. Closing the ep is Golden burn, the deepest and most dubbed out of the 3 tracks, sprinkled with emotive keys, and underpinned by distinctive bass lines.

The fifth release in this tribute series to the techno legend Christian Morgenstern is here. Side A kicks off with a trippy version of Morgenstern's "Spiegelkerker", by Konsequent label chief Maral Salmassi - a carefully set psychedelic trap, building up gently just to drag you through its tunnelling groove, inside the eye of the hurricane. TWR72's remix of "Ex Machina" on B1, merges the interlocking samples of the original in a vortex, spiral around the pounding kick, rolling right into the heart of the Milky Way.The final track, a remastered version of Morgenstern's "Girls Got Rhythm" sets the pace, with a dense groove and pounding beats, accenting a colourful cluster of house elements, with streams of sparkling metallic percussion.

30 year old Inland a.k.a Ed Davenport is an Englishman currently residing in Berlin. His release history dates back to 2006 with a steady output of house and techno and he spawned his Inland alias in 2012, kicking off his own Countercharge imprint with the Solstice EP. He also co-manages the Infrastructure label alongside Function, the pair having produced the 'Odeon/Rhyl' EP together as Function/Inland for the label's comeback release after a 9 year hiatus.Talking about his EP for Nonplus he explains;"This EP represents my current standpoint on 4/4 club music. Textural, crisp, fuller techno tracks with plenty going on beneath the surface. I made the tracks starting with a quite free, live-jam approach in the studio, laying down long recordings of synth parts, drums, and FX while working the mixer to create accents and peaks. Then I layered and edited everything afterwards, trying to maintain the essence of those live jams, letting the tracks find their own story. These are all long tracks designed to work in their entirety, but that can also be thrown in for 2 or 3 minutes in a fast paced set and make their mark."

The new artist EP of Map.ache goes by the name 'leave and keep'.Luckily he is not going to leave the label, but turns in three new tracks, where he is stressing the fine line between dancefloor and good listening. His indescision remains our pleasure.

Blinded By The Sun' see's Belfast born Phil Kieran create a ten-track narrative inspired from over a decade in the electronic dance scene. Jamie Jones was blown away by the early demos and signed the album to Hot Creations. The album is testament to Phil's talent and Jamie's keen ear for exceptional music. Phil is a talent to take note of, the album takes you on a twisty road of eclectic genres and doesn't disappoint. Light and dark go hand in hand, and with all things beautiful there is a darker side. In dance music that is often drug use and the hedonistic after parties that can easily switch and become tainted with regrets, addictions and lost dreams. The hauntingly beautiful vocal of 'Realities Forgotten' and increased intensity of 'I Can't Help Myself' nod to these lifestyle aspects, a spiralling swell in their rhythms. Five tracks in and hope emerges, as the second half introduces tracks such as 'Don't Give Up' and 'Let It Go Away', concluding in 'Find Love'

The Japanese producer Shu Okuyama has previously released his music from the labels like Milnor Modern, Minimood, also with his another name, Ragout De Lapin from Compost records. Now he sets up his own label Komabano Oscillation Lab with its first release KELLNERTHOUGHT EP. 2 tracks with shuffled beats and bass with his funk mixed with unique voice samples and jazzy feeling synth.

Looking back on a wide array of releases, it is safe to say that 2015 has been a great year for Dynamic Reflection. So it was only natural to set the aim even higher for 2016, beginning with the long awaited return of Abstract Division to their native imprint, by the release of their first ever double EP: Contemporary Spaces.

Always being credited as great storytellers in both their music and DJ-sets, exploring the format of a truly extended play seemed like a logical progression from Abstract Division's work until now. Not set out to be an album, but certainly being more than just an EP, Contemporary Spaces explores the current state of techno, providing the listener with wayward and timeless pieces drawing their inspiration from the broad spectrum of electronic music. Yet, while each individual track stands in its own place and time within this spectrum, the EP as a whole compliments the diversity of past, present and future influences and styles.

Contemporary Spaces is one of their most extensive and widely aimed projects to date and solely consists of original material. It is released as a limited double 12inch, pressed on lush white vinyl. A special piece of artwork with download codes giving access to the digital formats is included as a special bonus to early adopters.

The 50WEAPONSRMX10 EP let's Bambounou's heady minimal original 'Ignition' shine in new glamour.

Garnier, the pioneer of the French techno scene himself called Bambounou the official successor and now steps up to provide a lush dubby techhouse track that strictly aims at the big room to expand the accesibility of Bambounou's name to new territories. This track is a dancefloor guarantee for the clubs worldwide.

Cleverly the Garnier remix is met by French Fries' version of 'Ignition', an austere stunner of the minimalist approach so typical for the new french sound, which he and his best buddie Bambounou have made so popular in the last 2 years. The French Fries remix is a modern day answer to the seriousness of techno as an undergound vehicle in the early days of its existence, which is exactly the point of time Garnier made his first tracks.

The 2 remixes couldn't be more different and they couldn't fit together better, each on their own representing an important facette of the label's catalogue and 50WEAPONS' stunning ability to pair the sounds of now with the flavour of it's heritage.

Sensation/Clear' was Phantasy's momentous fiftieth release, and the first studio transmission from Daniel Avery since his acclaimed LP, 'Drone Logic'. Now, both tracks are remixed in distinctive fashion by two fellow outliers on the fringes of psychedelic, experimental techno.
Acclaimed producer and Eaux Records mastermind Rrose commits a typically ambitious and sonically experimental redux to Sensation. While retaining much of the original's hypnotic, almost celestial groove, its atmospherics are transformed into something altogether more alien and overwhelming, culminating in an epic yet utterly earned conclusion of visceral noise.
Abdulla Rashim meanwhile guides the sound of 'Clear' into deeper territory still, engineering an initially unassuming remix that ultimately reveals layer upon layer of painstaking detail. Polyrhythmic bass lines interlock expertly from the beginning, gradually unfolding while never relenting.

The head of Grounded Theory Berlin returns to Sonic Groove with his strongest outing on the label to date. Henning Baer brings forth a rough and tough diverse four cut EP of chunky rhythmatic techno. Recording the songs during live jams and using a previously decided pool of hardware this EP has a nice old school vibe. The sound production however is very much in the modern day with it's well crafted mix downs. This release has strong mass appeal for the purist techno connoisseur.

South London Analogue Material is back with the long awaited release from Keepsakes. Whadyyatalkinbout is a ruthless opener, its aggressive, distorted techno with all the keepsakes trademarks. The remix by Bas Mooy is a dance floor tool and has been doing the damage over the last few months. On the flip Gorb's House is rough down tempo stomper with a naughty acid section and Forward Strategy Group finish off with the B side remix giving the EP nice balance.

Seventh step ! Octave is back on his own imprint with a big project that includes 13 original tracks, 10 straight and broken beat tracks all fitting good to dancefloors and 3 offbeat 100% analog experimental works.

This project is the result of a new studio and way of production, now including analog insruments and live recording. Discovering this fresh and so far unknown approach to music and Techno, being introduced to modular synthetizers world and getting more involved into experimental music gives Octave inspiration to go on new different paths and experiment new sounds and rythmics that give this series all of its interest, and an own identity. Another will with it is to target both body and mind, with solid Techno beats of course but with hypnotic moments and deep atmospheres as well.

Each part includes 4 original tracks and the project is splitted as three parts on three vinyls, with three delayed release dates.

The new Petar Dundov is called Dancing Sun, and frankly, that's also exactly how it sounds. Happy, uplifting, but still the signature melodic techno sound you got used to from Croatia's number one techno producer. On remix duties is Forever Sound from Glasgow, a favorite of ours since his release on Horn Wax.

Since the turn of the decade Token has by and large been an exclusive platform for the music of Inigo Kennedy, Phase and Ctrls. The Belgian label has, however, remained on point by putting out formidable productions by Rich Oddie & Ancient Methods' Eschaton project, German powerhouse R¢dhåd and Spanish heavy weights Oscar Mulero and Christian Wünsch as Spherical Coordinates, to some intercontinental fare by Xhin and Go Hiyama. Token, an iron clad operation continuously manufacturing unyielding techno, has always, deep within its impenetrable shell, had a soft spot for British techno. And following a reissue of Mark Broom's "Two", maintaining the glacial release rate of Rodz-Konez legend Makaton, and welcoming Surgeon to its fold with the thunderous Fixed Action Pattern 12", the Belgian label seeks out some fresh UK blood by inviting James Shaw, aka Sigha, to debut on the label with a stylistically sleek and suitably booming 12", Our Father / A Better Way Of Living.

On equal part, Sigha's Token debut chalks up another milestone for the Berlin-based Englishman, not only because his name is now up there with the likes of the aforementioned, but Our Father / A Better Way Of Living provides Sigha with his first release away from a label that Shaw's not intrinsically related to. Prior to this it's been Scuba's Hotflush, Shifted's Avian, James Ruskin's Blueprint and Shaw's own Our Circula Sound that have unleashed his productions, and Sigha now steps up to deliver Token a linear 12" full of cosmic flavour and warehouse attitudes that judiciously falls between the sonic aesthetics of Inigo Kennedy's twinkling melancholia and the interlocking kick drums and basslines of Phase. And there's no doubting that both Token and Sigha are better for it.

A cut 'Dain' is a stripped down techno trip engineered for dancefloors at dawn: a siren call to the club's most battle hardened heads, its subtle machinations will prove deadly in the right DJ's hands. Over on the B-side, 'Aula' is the EP's more unpredictable beast, its rougher rave edges rounded off by a rich bass synth and enigmatic vox pads that give the track an unsettling air as it nears its conclusion. XJ closes the EP with an insistent slice of acid with Somewhen's own playful modern twist.

Nietzsche once said: I would only believe in a God who could dance'. The 2nd The Gods Planet LP, simply titled LP2, is ample proof that you can trust in Claudio PRC and Ness to make you dance. Built upon pieces of music purposely made for a live presentation at Paris´ well-regarded Concrete club, it sees the Italian duo of techno producers applying a willingness for inner and outer discovery, and a more human outlook to the brand of thoughtful, detailed, yet emotional and powerful productions, which they have built their name upon. New machines, techniques and skills are dexterously applied to the foundations displayed on the 1st album, from 2013, making it more direct and overtly danceable, not as experimental but certainly as explorative as before. It is the sound of two artists further more at ease with their standing in the scene, taking stock of their surroundings, before further ventures into the unknown, but still as interested and skilled as ever in telling stories. And what´s presented here is a compelling story of self-discovery woven into Claudio and Ness´s vision of techno and house music.

Upon landing and first reconnaissance, we realize that we are now placed in a more welcoming and elemental environment than on previous works. Further exploration of our settings leads us through a winding maze where as yet undefined and sometimes unknown or barely remembered feelings reveal themselves slowly as every corner is turned. There is a sense of self-questioning that is enlightened by the witnessing of the first dawn on this new land. The landscape reveals itself to be dream-like and filled with movement, at times mechanical as the inner workings of a precise clock, every detail vividly painting itself into our brains and touching our inner core. There is a feeling of elation as the listener is lifted in ascension and expands his vistas and new horizons become clearer. We realize this is, in fact, our personal inner world. Light gives way to shadow and furtive figures drift in and out of focus, some of them familiar, others more alien, as night falls. A glimpse of a distant beacon is caught in the corner of the eye, fed by an electric and ecstatic undercurrent that now traverses our Self and propels us further ahead in travel, and another twisted chapter of our journey ensues. Colors blur in a whirlwind of motion and emotion, a fast moving shadow attracts the eye and seduces us into following it and it is apparent that a breakthrough is now upon us. A communal celebration is held in a wide open field where ghosts of an unforgettable past sway, swirl and melt into personifications of the present and visions of a brighter future. It is like a time machine where all frontiers, physical and mental, become blurred to the point of losing all meaning. It is a new dawn, the dawn of a new Golden Age built upon the nostalgia of a lost, more carefree youth, wisps of sounds and impacts of rhythm enveloping us as we dance the hours away and they fuse into an timeless feeling of communion and togetherness. The revelation of The Gods Planet is complete. Each of us is it´s own planet, a world unto itself, and like every world, it´s gravity and context cannot exist without that of other worlds around it. This album is the way in which The Gods Planet reaches out through sound emissions, to the other worlds that make it what is is. Beholding what has been, what is, and what will be, Claudio PRC and Ness have made us believers and are now ready to venture beyond and give new worlds to our own world.

The Noisemaker debuts on Natch LTD series with State of Matter Ep, a deep, dense four tracker driven by groovy and propulsive rhythms. State 1 begins its path from the depth, a virtual paranoid entity excavates its way down to the lower grounds. State 2 is a restless groove, a compound of impetuous drums and ear itching interferences. A texturized whirlwind of broken beats and acid trips get involved in State 3, giving the Bside a ritualistic vibe, that closes with costantly detuned melodies in State 4, final cut where stomping percussions throw up an obsessive synthline. Effective and sharp release from the italian noisemaker, delivering a great package of sonic burners.

Following Tripeo's acclaimed debut album 'Anipintiros', the artist asked a few of his friends to reinterpret his release. It resulted in 2 reworked EP's from his contributors, all of whom are from an all star techno line up. On part 1 we explore the headier interpretations.

James Ruskin's rework recalls memories of early UK rave culture and early work by legendary label Warp. Exium couldn't choose a favorite, so decided to mash up 'Ani' #5 and #8 into a whirlwind of industrial funk and sound design. Closing the first EP is Mike Parker, unleashing his signature hypnotic drones onto the acidic monster that is 'Anipintiros' #7.

Though Ronde Music is a label gathering producers from various horizons, might it be ambient,noise, experimental or lectroacoustic, they all have a common creed : the loop. Jo created this locked groove label just one year ago, spreading extensively the sensitive patterns of artists such as Vadim Svoboda, Sharp, Antigone, Edith Progue, Dscrd and Cédric Pigot & Jow. A single 1 loop bar is to be repeated until harmonies free themselves, patterns are then stretching to the point where they merge into a psychoacoustic phenomenon. "Wouldn't it be
nice to have this dance last forever " Ronde Music asks all of those who haven't yet joined the round.

Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint is a label that should require no introduction. The motor city label has been a Techno mainstay since it's inception in 1987.

Numerous Detroit luminaries have released classic after classic on the labels hallowed grooves over the last 25+ years and it's influence is still felt in contemporary dance music today. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime. Kicking off EP 001 are Intercity, a collaborative effort between Saunderson, Derrick May and James "Suburban Knight" Pennington. "Groovin without doubt" is the track featured and is typical of the stripped back machine funk that would emanate from Detroit in the coming decades, originally released in 1987 the track still sounds killer on today's dancefloors! Following is the legendary Stacey Pullen aka Cosmic Messenger with his deep, melodic "Soundscape (Intricate mix)", released in 1993 on KMS offshoot label Eclipse the track pushes a supremely futuristic edge that showcases Pullen's prowess as a producer who is often unfairly underrated. Still sounding like it's from another planet "Soundscape" continues to excite and remain contemporary. Side B begins with some classic KMS breakbeat / Rave stylings from Master Reese himself, "You're Mine" is a sample heavy cut n paste monster from 1990, the "original mix" is featured here and still sounds like it weighs a ton, drop this one on a big system and watch the crowd lose it. Often imitated, never bettered! Rounding out the EP we have E-Dancer's "Pump the move", a stripped back, almost tribalish jam from 1991. This is some direct, heads down, dark dancefloor material, driving drums and synth stabs are woven through loose drum programming to create a "runaway train" feeling. Definitely one for the peak time dancefloors! "Origins" 001 will appeal to those who are new to KMS and will serve as the perfect entry point, it will also appeal to the diehard fans who dig that hardcore Detroit sound!

Following a year hiatus, Hottrax returns to make serious impact with 'Eno Minimal' from U.S. native DMS12. Veteran techno producer The Model is also onboard to remix delivering a high energy cut of futuristic electronica.
Label boss Jamie Jones rediscovered the original track explaining 'I had it in a playlist in 2015 for ages and finally dropped it in my all night long session with Seth Troxler at The Warehouse Project. The place went crazy and Seth asked me 'what the f**k is this" I've since played it on some huge stages and it's insane, no matter where I am it grabs people and slaps them into space.'
DMS12 is a DJ and producer from New York. The Model is a DJ and producer from Romania, founder and owner of the label Adult Central.

Karen Gwyer joins DBA for an exercise in futurist dancefloor electronics after a recent outing on Alien Jams alongside Beatrice Dillon and last year's barnstorming Nous release. The US-born Londoner brings the sound of her stomping, analogue live performances closer to the psychedelic, thickly melodic tone of her studio compositions across three tracks, with Prophase Metaphase Anaphase Telophase an obvious choice for DJs.

Following early feet-finding, yet highly acclaimed releases on Patten's Kaleidoscope label and No Pain In Pop, Gwyer has gone on to solidify her place in the quasi-underground techno scene with more acclaimed recordings on labels such as Nous Disques, Alien Jams andOpal Tapes, for which she toured twice. She has also produced remixes for the likes of Nous, Warp, Software and Public Information, and created a number of commissioned pieces for Open Music Archive.

Unfeasibly tight, cultishly adored Aussie post-punk trio, My Disco take a proper pasting from Regis and Lustmord in stupendous remixes of Our Decade and 1991 from their Severe (2015) LP for Temporary Residence; the latest in a string of killers from Downwards in 2016 including EPs from JK Flesh, Simon Shreeve, and Dva Damas.
Hammering motorik rhythms with mathematic precision since 2003, My Disco arguably broached a wider consciousness with their 3rd LP, Little Joy for Temporary Residence in 2010. The group's 4th LP Severe was issued to underground acclaim in 2015, providing a shocking reminder of the trio's minimalist tension and vitality, and bearing strong material that well warrants these killer remixes from Regis and Lustmord.
Taking on Our Decade, Regis masterfully eviscerates the original's drawling gothic vox in favour of white hot sheets of processed, coruscating guitar whilst the groove is brought right upfront with a clattering swagger that's gagging for the dance.
On the flip, Lustmord isn't up for playing around with his take on 1991, submitting a gravely greyscale and super wide overhaul perfused with curdled vocals and stark drums like something out of a Scott Walker storyboard.
It's hard to deny that these are remarkable pieces of work, rendering Lustmord's best outing since The Word As Power at the very least, and quite possibly a strong hint of where Regis is headed on his long-rumoured LP for Blackest Ever Black.

Excellent value for money pack from the first two releases combined. Really cool originals by A Thousand Details and Astronomical Telegram and BIG remixes by Orphx, Casual Violence, Stanislav Tolkachev and more.

Some of you might know him for his very successfull releases on Figure records. It has been a great experience meeting this young and passionate French producer, he handed me many demos, and i have to say it was difficult to choose as so many of them sounded very promising. I hope this first 12' will be the beginning of a long collaboration with Romain. Opening Moment EP features four Underground Techno jams that i hope you will enjoy as much as i do!

Lunacy is an intense Underground Techno builder. While AAD has this sort of never ending groove that i love. Black Orchid (features on my mix CD for the French magazine Tsugi that is out now, and was also just played by Carl Craig in Paris at Cabaret Sauvage on May 3rd, with such an amazing crowd reaction!!!).
Lord is a great hypnotic jam that keeps evolving through the track.

LA based DJ/Producer Trent Cantrelle is one of those rare artists who manages to have a foot planted in both the mainstream and underground camps of electronic music. Whilst his music has topped the download charts on a variety of labels and he has rocked the main stages at global music festivals, he is also firmly at home rocking the secret warehouse parties of his adopted home town.

Trent's MOOD debut features two new originals that meld his trademark clean techy touches with rough, nasty and rolling grooves. Android Bordello', the title track, is a Sci-Fi techno soundtrack for the craziest of dancefloor drones. Out Of Line' on the flip matches mechanic and organic as the scything lazer shots and towering synth riffs are met with echoing tabla's and a beautiful vocaled breakdown. Epic stuff from Cantrelle and an impressive first outing for MOOD.

A strong VA from the legendary PRRUK camp. 4 heavyweight producer on the buttons that perfectly come together with a vary of sounds. From off beat to haunted atmospheres. A strong release. Recommended.
