Amsterdam label Spectral Bounce recruits French club stalwart Chris Carrier for SPEC06 — Perfect Encounter. Active since 1994, the Parisian artist has released a wellspring of records on Robsoul, Slapfunk and his own Sound Carrier recordings, parallel to his longtime career as a DJ. Characterised by swirling delays and progressive arrangements, Perfect Encounter shows the producer exploring the mesmeric corners of tech house, ideally fitted to the Spectral Bounce aesthetic.
Opener “XLR8” starts with rolling toms that make way for fluid, modulated tones; each bar ebbs and flows to the sweeping synths set in motion by Carrier. Processed with a multitude of delays, rhythmic FX boldly swish above the drums, making for an immersive soundstage. Second track “Light Side” retains the billowing echoes but moves more nimbly, cutting things back to make for a spacious and breezy number. Its croaking synths hop around the stereo field, accompanied by tight percussion and a walking bassline.
The hallucinogenic “Third Moon” sees Carrier step further into trance-inducing territory. The track’s pulsing, syncopated bass note thrums underneath an arpeggio that evolves into a heady prismatic drone. While the chugging beat is ever-present, melodic refrains rise up and evaporate like wisps of vapour, alongside a vocal that fades away as quickly as it appears. The EP’s eponymous “Perfect Encounter” dials up the tension and closes the record with a mysterious touch. Speedy 16th note patterns propel the beat, creating shifty rhythms that rattle and hiss. A rasping, gelatinous synth and squeaky detuned tones resemble extraterrestrial signals — alien morse code for an enraptured dancefloor.

Following the title of the classic Ecstasy Club record - be it a direct influence or merely a coincidence - Acid Jesus was the first of many collaborations between Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke.
Situated in Germany’s then blistering techno scene and especially a mirror of Frankfurt at the time, the early recordings are also a feedback loop to what was happening in the UK and the USA before and at that very time. With many definitions and interpretations of techno already in place, and while its triumphal procession slowly geared itself into exhaustion, Flügel and Wuttke succeeded with their own and unique take on it, that owned as much to Underground Resistance and the Belleville Three as it did to Sven Väth and Andrew Weatherall. Depicting the booster detonation of what was to become the holy label trinity of Playhouse, Klang and Ongaku, this is a collection of tracks and experiments in sound that won’t sound dated, yet classic, mesmerizing and eternal. Jesus loves the acid and vice versa.

On the flip the journey continues with well crafted progressive 90s era track "soft progress". This one will definitely set the club or festival a light with the breakdown sending chills down your spine
Lastly the maturity of "Electron" keeping that consistency of the B side with its Shuffling hi-hats & deep atmospheric elements & driving low end

Whether it was intentional or not, who knows, but Charles Webster's Remote label only put out ten EPs back in the mid to late 90s. They all stand up to this day, with many being highly sought after over on the second-hand market. One of the best of the lot and an under the radar gem is this from Jorge Felucca aka Neil Tolliday aka Nail, the Midlands house master. Four robust cuts with enough weight for the peak time but still renting plenty of depth and nuanced synth craft that keeps the heads locked in. Whether you like acid madness or cosmic exploration, all bases are covered here.

The 2x12” album presents mostly tracks written and produced by Todd, with A1/D1 being in collaboration with Paterson. "Give a teenager in a rural Canadian setting an analog synthesizer, a drum machine and a four-track cassette recorder and feed him a steady diet of 80s EBM, Post-Punk, Synthpop, Electro, Dub, Acid, Hip Hop and House, and you’ll get the kind of genre melding electronic-based music that Todd Nickolas has been known for since his early days of writing and producing." Yet another EP from the Miami underground to land on Bruno Schmidt’s Domesticated imprint. Next up we have ctrl.opt with 4 versatile tracks aimed straight for the floor. “Mono_Pro” kicks off with a bumpy late night house burner; think of if Chez Damier’s U Ain’t Dancing had been made in Florida. Purple-infused vocals and huge floorshaking toms make this an obvious cut to reach for when needing to igniting the function floor. “Make Me Feel”is a hypnotic, humid loopy number with a nagging live bass. “Rock Don’t Stop” keeps true to its roots; a monster ghetto-themed Miami Bass cut. Lastly the b2 has a midwest timbre and feel to it. Reminiscent of early noughties tech house, this will most likely line the crates of the more seasoned selector. Unmissable dance music, cop on sight. Domesticated does it again!
For the 58th outing of the Wrecks anthology we're very happy to welcome the new Argentinian producer Gaston Cabrera to the ranks. Gaston has piqued our interest for a while now with his unique and atmospheric productions and it's a pleasure to have him join the Klasse Wrecks family. The 'Prohibido' EP doesnt waste anytime getting to the point, a snarling beast that goes straight for the jugular. Spooky techno tropes mix with the best of yesteryear electro house stylings, it's a sound that feels new and exciting yet at the same time very familiar. Both raw and musical, the 4 song record could soundtrack either a long lost John Carpenter horror or a Tron-esque retro sci-fi movie.
Kosh joins Craigie Knowes for his label debut record ‘Back on Track’. Kosh delivers 4 tracks packed to the brim with Detroit heritage merged with his own original style and signature Casablanca take on the origins of house, techno and the space between. Title track ‘Back on Track’ is an ever-building acid-journey guaranteed to rock in the clubs. ‘Breaksit’ gives us a chance to breathe as we embark on a trip that melds the signature Kosh and Craigie Knowes sounds into a pure and emotive composition. ‘Ridge Racer’ returns us to our feet with bounce, rhythm and octave changes to elevate your next DJ-set. ‘Digital Dilemma’ takes us from North Africa across the Atlantic to the Motor City and reminds us of everything we love about club-focussed, Detroit inspired, techno. A record label born in Madrid in 2025, with the intention of physically producing electronic music, without pretensions of musical genre or trends. We seek to reveal unpublished talents and release with artists who share our sonic aesthetic. The purpose is to showcase a pure and authentic expression in every work. DEFENESTRE RECORDINGS presents its first release: ALARMA 2ØØØ, produced by RØBØT CITY (alias Salvador Rojo). The album consists of eight tracks, materialized in a 12-inch vinyl record that has been hand-treated and screen-printed on each copy, reflecting the project’s human and sentimental essence. Composed and produced entirely in analog by Salvador Rojo in Lugo (March-June 2025), the record is a journey into the artist’s sound universe: Side A delivers 4 tracks of pure, hard-hitting electro (paranoid, industrial, powerful beat), achieving a harmonious and emotional sound; while Side B presents cuts that take us from more ambient soundscapes to organic, astral, and liberating techno. ALARMA 2ØØØ is the first declaration from DEFENESTRE RECORDINGS, a label committed to hardware sound and pure, unfiltered expression.
