Psychotria isn't a release with the pretense to be of help for this, but this musical meeting of the versatile producer Cyberlife and the vibes explorer TrübTone appears as an attempt of bringing response to the eternal metaphysical question on why things are, as a liberating truth for the

SHDW & Obscure Shape and their "Mutual Rytm" imprint celebrating a first year anniversary with an outstanding 3 vinyls pack as their tenth release to date and the second instalment of their "Federation of Rytm" compilation series.

Berlin-based modular synthesist and Berghain resident JakoJako returns with her Mute debut, Verve EP.

Although newly-signed, JakoJako is not a new name within the Mute catalogue with appearances on both Martin Gore's The Third Chimpanzee Remixed and New Order's Be a Rebel Remix 12". This release follows her immersive debut album Metamorphose, and presents four brilliant new songs including the icy techno track 'Auris', released exclusively on Beatport in November 2022.

This new Visitors EP from Alexander Slush opens with a deep synth-laden groove of the title track containing an obsessive main theme that emerges towards the middle of the track and makes it its home like a visitor who has come with serious intentions. Good or bad? It is up to you to decide.

The second track Drunx is a mind trip into a blissfully drunken state with a thrust that makes the body want to move closer to where the beats are coming from and playing at their loudest.
Side B opens with a remix from Theirlaw who made the Visitors sound heavier and more straightforward. Now we get the message loud and clear, the Visitors declare that they have come in peace and with good will! God save us all!

The final track Churning is like a production line going mad. Its relentlessness grabs you and drags you along till you are trapped within it unable to fight the groove.
The space-themed/monster-vinyl-destroyer cover sleeve artwork of the EP and the label logo design were elaborately created by Keerah.

Reel By Real aka Martin Bonds, our man from Detroit graces us with some fresh music! Did you heard about the Tic Tac incident, where a fighter jet encountered a 'tic tac' shaped unidentified flying object?

This event sparked a lot of inspiration with Marty for this very release, leading to three new original Reel By Real tracks harnessing extra terrestrial vibes combined with Detroit Techno and Electro magic! The EP is completed by a stripped down space funk remix from label boss Don Williams.

ALLEY VERSION presents the third installment of the series ‘Tracks From The Alley’, a V.A. 4-tracker compilation, kicking off with a new track by the Japanese machines wizard Takeshi Kouzuki, ‘PaganParadise’, where Chicago style acidelic beats meets immersive gloomy pads and tiny dripping melodies.

The Italian duo FLML complete the A side with ‘Analog Jerky Thing’, a tape recorded jam driven by a hypnotic proto-acid style touching bassline.

Greek cult producer DimDj open the B side with the intricate ‘Apo Pou Eisai’, a track made of rarefied jack-beats into dub echoes, mutating in acid attacks.

Closes the e.p. Chris Mitchell, U.S. based producer-DJ and label boss of Feral Colony, with ‘Tru1’, a raw impact complex textured acid-techno track.

Junction Forest is a new label operated by Junction Records Store, out of Seoul. The first release is from our associate Tim a.k.a S.O.N.S and is a trance 3-tracker with a few twists.
It is titled after an (in)famous forest in the middle of Seoul, straightforwardly called... Seoul Forest.

Some words from S.O.N.S about the release:

So I got some complains about my last album, reportedly containing no danceable tracks,
"I tried to play it out and everybody left" said one angry customer. "I thought it sounded fine but it clears the floor 100%" wrote another one.

Well this time I took a different approach.

On the A side, you get Tteuggeopge (meaning "Hot" in Korean) - it's a mixture of acid techno and psy-trance breakdowns, with some vocal samples taken from an old Korean movie, a jazz intro and a long 9.09minutes build up (figures are never chosen randomly) which I hope won't let the dancefloor unmoved - if you dare to play it!
On the flip you get the ambient version... no! I was joking! you get 2 other trance tracks
Psychic Link is a mixture of Hard & Goa Trance sounds with breakbeats samples & a surprising deep tribal interlude in the middle to cool down the room for a minute.
And finally Snow White And The Seven Mushrooms is an angry bad tripping tribute to 90s progressive house sounds. Like if Robin S took too much acid and is haunted by some supernatural creatures.

Not a stranger to the dark and gloomy acid sound, Disk Space delivers a techno trance fusion with their latest Control/Revolution EP. For us, this one marks the first release on our The Factory Limited series. Ultimate rare pressing in only 200 copies!

The first release of #secondhand series on Autum Records: vinyl reissues of iconic tracks from the past, brought back to life through contemporary remixes signed by the most influential artists of the electronic scene. Ricardo lends a hand for the first one.

Polly Records, the new Hamburg based music imprint kicks of with a 2 Track 7'' record added by 3 digital jams called "Bumpers". On this release, producer Speckman captures a part of his 2020 outlet, which includes a heavy UK influence, driven sound-textures as well as fast and shaking beats. At some point it might feel like you would touch the power supply with wet fingers. The producer and Golden Pudel Club resident Speckman also happens to be a member and co-founder of the Polly Records Crew. Accompanied by his fellows and partners Natalie Andruszkiewicz and Malte von der Lancken, who both are heavily involved in the Hamburg club and art scene, they built the group behind the promissing new label. Andruszkiewicz, graphic-designer and artist, known for her exquisite and unique style in colors, forms and typography evolved in a surrounding of bands and musicians, her talent and high demand led into works such as Booklets, Party-Flyers and Album-Covers for bands like Aroma or Pool. Malte von der Lancken, does bookings for the highly reputed club Uebel & Gefährlich and is responsible for tons of great parties that clearly pushed the landscape of electronic dance music around the city of Hamburg since years.

With forced powers the trio is now setting up Polly Records, a label that is willing to push boundaries and provide a platform to artists that really try to outbreak specific genres or styles, visually and audio vise. Aware of a long-lasting tradition of great hamburg based institutions such as Smallville Records, Dial or the Golden Pudel Club, Polly will certainly continue that road but perhaps in another vehicle for example a sportscar with butterfly doors.

After Speckman's "Bumpers" EP which is going to be released in late summer, the label wants to introduce another hamburg based talent, that been kept hidden for too long. Stay tuned.

It's 18 years ago now that Paul Mac found his mission into dj'ing and 10 years that he laid his foundation stone as producer. Since that, Paul Mac recorded tracks for over 30 labels and with nearly 100 releases now to his name it's probably fair to call him an inveterate artist of the scene. The past couple of years have seen Paul's profile raised dramatically thanks to his high profile releases on Primate, Intec, Primevil, Phont or on Ben Sim's label Ingoma. Paul Mac's first album "Old School Former Pupil" was released in 1998 on Fragmented Recordings and five years later his second album "Push Came To Shove" on Primate. In Septemer this year Paul will release his third album "Defined By Association" on Ingoma and besides the traditional labels as usual also his first 12inch on Kanzleramt. Paul's "What Are You" sounds really mental and all four tracks are energetic floorfiller, have their own qualities and it's just a question of your individual choice which one rocks the crowd!

François X presents Digital Fever

More than 2 years after his last solo project, François X returns with an EP on his new platform, XX LAB.

Faithfully following the label aesthetic, the tracks precisely reveal key themes of loneliness and self-identity quest, translated into a sheer combination of ecstatic and murky feelings accompanied by body bumping grooves. Recorded prolifically during covid this record unveils an innovative approach to techno from François, by incorporating modern pop and rap productions techniques he has developed over the period such as arrangements and Vocal FX (all the vocals loops and FXs are his.)

There is a profound sense of creative freedom in how François X’s music has evolved recently. Shifting from academic techno structures in his previous work, to a more brutal and edgy aesthetic, François has definitely unleashed his productive spirit.

The opening track “Forever’ N' 'Fever' represents a prime example of this imaginative boiling mind, setting off the EP’s murky tone with its evocative trappish vibe. This driving effervescence brings out a remarkable plurality in the tonalities of the compositions, swinging between the prompt and fiery club-ready atmosphere of "Lone Wolf Cabin'' to the ecstatic and emotive chemistry of "Shame Stare". This paradoxical structure can also inform us about its creator, as a retranscription of the emotions that run through him.

The musical output will be accompanied by a limited edition, where François X takes us through his mind and emotions to explore the inner feelings behind each track of Digital Fever. Discover an oriented listening session narrated by the XX LAB representatives, with an edited soundtrack of the EP, released on an impressive 7’ square clear vinyl specially designed for the project. Limited to 50 copies.

Challenging his role as an artist, the selfishness that comes with it and the limit of his dedication, François X is acting as a contemporary cow-boy, deeply entwined with his utopian dreams.

Sublunar is the new label founded by Sciahri and Dagdrom. The label sound focuses on deep and hypnotic textural techno and will represent the owners' specific taste for both club effective techno as well as more experimental excursions.
Their first output is a three 12" Ep's trilogy called 'Devotion' by one of the two owners Sciahri, the Florence based Dj and producer who has just released his second EP on Ilian Tape. Each release is each release is limited and numbered. As Sciahri somehow tries to create worlds and environments, the first chapter of this trilogy 'Devotion - part 1' represents the start of the journey, entering a dimension that is abstract yet solid and physical, full of vividly distinguishable details. The air is dense but there's room to breathe and to let one's body and mind engage with the narrative that develops over the course of the three tracks.

Devotion - Part 2 is the continuum of the journey into Sciahri's dimension. The atmosphere here is as thick as it is unsettling. Leading the way, a dry, chunky aural flow that begins with 'Shelter' and then rarefies, taking a more angular yet diffused pattern with 'Contortion'. The ending 'Lineage' then throws us in a mass of fog, a state of uncertainty where only hints of a beat are given.

Side A of this white vinyl consists of one original mix - Sub Constienta - with an uplifting baseline, with industrial background textures complete with mesmerizing synths that make your body vibrate to the groove.

On Side B, Swing Altfel is a track that tells the story differently, taking the listener on a long journey thru the sound. Just like the exquisite painting of painter Leonid Afremov, the track it self has many sounds combining one on top of the other in a progressive release of the right amount of joyful vibe; with passages and percussions mixed with tweaked vocals, giving this track the perfect rithm.
