Trance Vinyl New Releases - News

a special 2 a-side ep on sander van doorn's label !!! great !!!

When they released 'The Other Shore' last year, Aly & Fila demonstrated their ability to transcend the limitations of the genre and break new ground. The album was well-received, and many viewed it as a chance for the duo to really show what they are capable of after all these years.

Now, Aly & Fila are back again, but this time they're bringing you a little something different. 'The Chill Out' is an ambitious title for a project and one that invites the content to live up to the name. We've never doubted the production abilities of Egypt's finest dance duo, and now they're giving their songs a new way into the world.

You'll recognize a number of classics and hits from the duo here ('We Control The Sunlight', 'Running', and more), with the tempo slowed down sublimely so that you can listen all summer long. The musicality of these records is undeniable, and in this new format, the songwriting and production are given center stage.

This is 'The Chill Out', and we know you're going to love relaxing to this record.

Artist albums are personal journeys and it is often said that the first album has taken a lifetime to write. That is certainly true in the case of "No Direction Home", the debut album by Lostly.

Lostly AKA Andre Frauenstein started DJ'ing at the age of

The singles came thick and fast, as did the plaudits. Armin van Buuren, Aly and Fila, Indecent Noise, Activa and Mark Sherry are just a few of the early adopters of the "Lostly" sound. By 2012 he had gone from new kid on the Discover Records block to head of A & R for the label in what was an unprecedented rise through the ranks.

Since then he has helped shape the current sound of the label following on in fine style from the legends that were his predecessors, John Askew and Activa. Throughout this time his production output has remained relentless including prestigious remixes for the likes of Armada, Mental Asylum, Outburst and Kearnage.

Fast forward to 2015 and the album that contains a lifetime of influences has arrived making one of the biggest statements you are ever likely to hear from a trance artist. No Direction Home is a genre-defying journey of vast proportions. This is not simply a collection of new dance tracks. It is an emotional statement that takes you from blissed out trance instrumentals and searing vocal anthems "in waiting", through to dark techno and tribal grooves before finishing up with the epic drum and bass finale of the title track.

Without doubt this is going to be one of the trance albums of the year and with a string of new singles already in production, Lostly looks set to firmly establish himself within the trance elite in 2015. Now also signed to Militant Artists - one of the most exciting and innovative management companies in the UK - his gig diary looks set to bring this album to life as he plays across the globe.

However, until he gets to you, power up the pod, turn up the volume and enjoy the masterpiece that is "No Direction Home" by Lostly.

Last year they sold out London's Alexandra Palace, this October they become the first British DJs to headline New York's Madison Square Garden - tickets went in 12 hours. Above & Beyond, Britain's best kept secret, are set to explode onto the nation's musical radar in Jan 2015 with their new album 'We Are All We Need'. Their massive live following extends to the UK where they have already headlined both SW4 and the dance tent at Glastonbury. In addition to this their weekly radio show, Group Therapy, attracts 25 million listeners, regularly trending on Twitter and topping iTunes podcast charts.

DJ Magazine said Above & Beyond are 'the biggest DJing and production collective the UK has ever produced'. And who are we to argue Ignore them at your peril. For this talented triumvirate the sky really is the limit.

the new release by markus schulz is a hot progressive trance weapon !!!

Wake Your Mind Radio, the new 'Start To Feel' album, a run of Beatport #1s & iTunes Top 10s, the launch of WYM Records, a coast-to-coast US Bus Tour and a trend-bucking jump up the DJ Mag Top 100´ the last twelve months have been nothing but catalytic for Cosmic Gate.

As 2014, so 2015, and stage #1 of that begins today! In step with their WYM Radio showÉs first 50th milestone, Nic & Bossi unveil their new mix album concept. The proverbial triple threat, 'Wake Your Mind Sessions' seamlessly combines the highlights of their DJ sets and the WYM-Radio show and new music premiere platform as one.

Over its 33 tracks you'll find dance establishment like Above & Beyond, Gareth Emery & Arty sharing the mix with lesser-known Cosmic Gate influences like cult electronic music group GusGus. Future-heroes are in no short supply, with audio from ilan Bluestone, Genix, LTN, Steve Brian, Ost & Meyer, to name but a handful. Also debuting exclusively on the first 'Sessions' are new tracks from the guys themselves like 'Yai (Here We Go Again)', JES's vocal expansion of Cosmic Gate's 'Yai', Nic Chagall's 'This Time' and Steve Brian's upcoming rewire of 'Happyness'. ThereÉs also multi-genre remix work from the likes of Maceo Plex, Jerome Isma-Ae, Alexander Popov, Andrew Bennett and a host of others.

The best-of-the-best from their radio show, the ÈStart To FeelÉ album & tours and the Wake You Mind Records label´ itÉs all enshrined here, on ÈWYM Sessions001É!

"A '360ø' of what we do" says Nic Chagall. "That's the aim for these releases. Going forward, we feel that 'WYM Sessions' are going to be the centre-point of mixes we'll put together throughout the year. As such, they're the ones that must reflect, most explicitly, everything that Wake Your Mind Radio, WYM Records, Start To Feel and naturally Cosmic Gate stands for.

Bossi continues: "The selection process for this album is tough. We started with the mind-set that no track - whether it be ours or another artist's - should be 'a cert' for a 'Sessions' tracklist. Only through this rigorous selection approach do we feel we can achieve that goal of bringing a definitive all-round encapsulation.

CD 1 exemplifies the 'Sessions' unique approach within its very first tracks. Front loaded with Private Playlist-style cuts like 16 Bit Lolitas 'Deep in My Soul' and Maceo Plex refashioning of GusGus' 'Crossfade' it slickly builds to floor-strikes like CGÉs just-completed rework of Gareth EmeryÉs 'Long Way Home', Genix's 'Durban', ilan Bluestone's 'Big Ben' and more.

Arty vs Cosmic Gate's 'Flashback Of Conflict' mash-up, Above & Beyond's 'Sticky Fingers' and ÈThis TimeÉ -

Nic ChagallÉs much-anticipated solo return - charge the opening of the second disc. A run of Start To Feel tour and radio-wave faves including ÈFair GameÉ, ÈFalling BackÉ, ÈTelefunkenÉ & ÈSo Get UpÉ follow, white-hot on their heels. The first ÈWake Your Mind SessionsÉ culminates with the Alexander PopovÉs clubby fortification of LTNÉs ÈFeeling like YeahÉ, AxisÉs transcendently progressive ÈLushÉ and Super8 & TabÉs vocal anthem ÈNo FrontiersÉ.

Blending the new and the now, with zero distortion, and for maximum encapsulation, ÈSessions 001É delivers a pair of infectiously mixed, creatively compiled discs. Straight from the heart of the Gate, this is music that CG fans will be coming back to for years to come!

There are certain things in the world of dance music today that we take for granted. When we feel an emotion from a synthesizer, we accept it as inevitable - as always having been there. Those who were alive to witness the revolution will know that this wasn't always the case. Somewhere between cheesy 80's snares and today's flourishing scene, a handful of pioneers paved the way for literally everything we love about dance music today.

Chicane is such a figure, and his impact can't be overestimated.

To prove this, we challenge you to listen to his first album from 1997, 'Far From The Maddening Crowds' and see for yourself how well his music has aged in almost 20 years.

Now, the legend is back with a brand new studio album - 'The Sum Of Its Parts'. Right from the start, you'll recognize the trademark Chicane composition style and melody. He's done an exceptional job joining the best of old and new - fusing instant classics like 'Tuesdays' and 'Orleans' with modern collaborations with Ferry Corsten, Christian Burns, Senadee, Bo Bruce and more.

This album is much more than the sum of its parts - it's a history of dance music in one album.

Through tracks like 'My Enemy', 'No Frontiers' and Let Go' she's also notably become the vocalmuse/ go-to-girl for Finnish high-fliers Super8 & Tab. Bringing her gifted lyricism and soul-sear
vocals to the broadest possible spectrum of electronic dance music, Julie's catalogue has come

part 1 of a special selection classic tracks from 15 years kosmo records !!

It's easy to forget how many life-changing songs Armin has produced over his staggering career, including records like his early UK chart hit 'Blue Fear' and his recent smash 'This Is What It Feels Like', which was certified platinum, gold, and silver around the globe.

In an era where trends come and go on a daily basis, one man has withstood the test of time again and again, achieving success through his unwavering support of the music he loves.

Armin van Buuren has had the fortitude to stay true to his values throughout an unrivaled DJ career, in which he was voted DJ Mag's #1 DJ more than anyone in history. In addition to pioneering never-before-seen techniques in his live shows and concerts, Armin has always had his number one priority be the music itself.

That sincerity is something the fans have always appreciated, as evidenced by his A State of Trance Radio Show, whose weekly listeners number in the 20 millions worldwide.

And so, with a deep respect for his loyal fans, Armin set out to create a different kind of record: one in which the fans played a key role. He reached out during his radio show and through his website and social media, giving the fans and the fans alone the chance to determine the track list of this incredible album.

And they responded in droves. While each listener's top 5 Armin favorites may be different, combined these are the fan-voted, greatest 'Armin Anthems' of all-time.

As we look back on records like 'Shivers', 'Communication', 'This Is What It Feels Like', and 'In And Out Of Love', we see more than just chart topping titles, hundreds of millions of YouTube views, a Grammy nomination, and countless other awards.

We see music that has shaped and defined the current music climate in which we all live - championed by one of the greatest DJs the world has ever known - Armin van Buuren.
