“Water Tiger” is the debut album from oqbqbo & Scandinavian Star, compiling their previously released singles with 3 new songs. In 2020 the couple released their first collaborative work, the double single “Airdrops / Coercion” just as the the first wave of Covid lockdowns set in action across Europe and the rest of the world. The music offered a kind and compassionate stance to the turmoil that swept across the world in those months. Later that year the single “Wakening” was released on Rift One, a compilation by Year0001. In 2022 they returned with another double single “Dandelions / Sleep Lines”. “Water Tiger” compiles all those with 3 new songs; Free Fall, Colibri and Water Tiger. oqbqbo is the moniker of Russian born artist Nastya Sipulina. Scandinavian Star is Malthe Fischer, producer and part of pop outfit Lust For Youth. They live together in Copenhagen, Amager with their daughter Freja Rei. Together they make uplifting and bubbly dance music that inhabits its own world whilst playfully referencing both euro dance and contemporary club music. The LP version comes on white vinyl, housed in a white, stickered disco sleeve, with hand-stamped and numbered white labels, a fold around two-sided color cover and an obistrip. ltd to 300 copies

Ukranian artist Azotti delivers four tracks from his catalogue on 140g single 12 inch vinyl release courtesy of Blackhole Recordings. These are full length versions.

Junction Forest is a new label operated by Junction Records Store, out of Seoul. The first release is from our associate Tim a.k.a S.O.N.S and is a trance 3-tracker with a few twists.
It is titled after an (in)famous forest in the middle of Seoul, straightforwardly called... Seoul Forest.

Some words from S.O.N.S about the release:

So I got some complains about my last album, reportedly containing no danceable tracks,
"I tried to play it out and everybody left" said one angry customer. "I thought it sounded fine but it clears the floor 100%" wrote another one.

Well this time I took a different approach.

On the A side, you get Tteuggeopge (meaning "Hot" in Korean) - it's a mixture of acid techno and psy-trance breakdowns, with some vocal samples taken from an old Korean movie, a jazz intro and a long 9.09minutes build up (figures are never chosen randomly) which I hope won't let the dancefloor unmoved - if you dare to play it!
On the flip you get the ambient version... no! I was joking! you get 2 other trance tracks
Psychic Link is a mixture of Hard & Goa Trance sounds with breakbeats samples & a surprising deep tribal interlude in the middle to cool down the room for a minute.
And finally Snow White And The Seven Mushrooms is an angry bad tripping tribute to 90s progressive house sounds. Like if Robin S took too much acid and is haunted by some supernatural creatures.

Introducing ‘Duality’, the new double album from Andrew Bayer. Two musical threads weave through the collected works of Andrew Bayer. One thread gave us the downtempo masterclass of 2013’s ‘If It Were You We’d Never Leave’ and the brilliant 'In My Last Life' LP. The other thread produced arena-sized anthems like 2014’s ‘Once Lydian’, his epic 'Super Human' with Asbjørn and the club remix project 'In My Next Life'. From the introspective to the explosive, these records are our community’s shared soundtrack: we’ve all got a favourite Andrew Bayer record. But they have come in so many forms and styles. It leaves us asking the question, who exactly is Andrew Bayer? It’s a question he’s asked himself. “Since day one, I have always struggled with how to present myself. I love making these experimental home listening albums of electronica and indie sounds, but I also love DJing and making trance bangers. On my last album I had to remix the album in full after it was released to make the worlds fit. This time around I wanted to capture all the breadth, depth and tension within that duality under one single project” - Andrew Bayer ‘Duality’ brings these two creative threads together under one album for the first time since his debut album 'It's Artificial'.
