Every now and then a deep slow burning soul love song completely blurs the line between heavy funk and love songs. An extremely rare situation but when a love song hits like “No Eres Tan Listo Brother” Maria Lupa delivers pure audio magic, blowing up every sound system no mater how low you may try and keep down the volume.
Backed with the explosive B-side “Mujeres,” a classic funk track that absolutely rips, hard hitting drums in harmony with a deep bass line and soul shouts sprinkle a large dose of coolness to what will surely be considered as one of the most heavy hitting break beat records of all time…
Maria’s sound sits somewhere between tough downright heavy hitting break-beat style funk and slow burning soul that even the most hardcore funk aficionados will consider heavy handed bliss.
