Zuerst das Wichtigste: Ja, Your Day Will Come an, das zweite Album von Chanel Beads trägt denselben Namen wie sein Debüt aus dem Jahr 2024. Aber es handelt sich um ein völlig neues Werk, nicht um einen zweiten Teil oder eine Neuauflage. Der Titel des neuen Albums ist derselbe wie der des Vorgängers - eine perfekte Zusammenfassung der Zweideutigkeit von Chanel Beads: zu gleichen Teilen ein augenzwinkernder Scherz und eine zutiefst ernste Aussage. Während sich die Songs entwickelten, entdeckte Lavers, dass der Satz eine tiefere Nuance hatte und eine Spannung zwischen Gewissheit und Zweifel hervorrief, die seine Psyche beschäftigte. Wird dein Tag kommen? Wie wird er sein? Wie kannst du dir sicher sein? Während er das Album schrieb, hatten Lavers' Gedanken mehr Raum, um in seinem Kopf herumzuschwirren und sich zu verdrehen, und er fühlte sich oft abgestumpft von einer Welt, die sich absurd grausam anfühlen kann. Die zweite Inkarnation von Your Day Will Come dokumentiert eine klangliche Verschiebung und Weiterentwicklung des Chanel-Beads-Sounds. Dieses Mal ist alles stärker geschichtet, mit mehr eigenständigen Parts und Mitwirkenden. Es entstand in seinem kleinen, spärlich eingerichteten Studio in Brooklyn, wo die Lautsprecher so nah an seinem Gesicht standen, dass er bei jedem Schlag der Bassdrum die Luftwelle spüren konnte. Geiger Zachary Paul tritt präsenter in Erscheinung, während Lavers weiterhin mit der semiotischen Bedeutung von Plug-ins spielt. Auch die ätherische Stimme von Maya McGrory ist erneut auf dem Album zu hören; sie schrieb zudem am majestätischen ,Silver Cup" mit. Die 14 Songs sind ausgearbeiteter und strukturierter - Ergebnis eines kollaborativeren Ansatzes, der Spontaneität und Unvollkommenheit bewusst zulässt. Er folgt der Devise "Wenn es funktioniert, lass es so", nimmt einfach mit dem Mikrofon auf, das gerade zur Hand ist, und baut den Song auf dieser Aufnahme auf. Aus lockeren Treffen ergaben sich Beiträge von Freund*innen wie Tchad Cousins (Urika's Bedroom), Mari Maurice (More Eaze), Anastasia Coope und Bella Litsa. "Dust in the Wind" entstand gemeinsam mit Isaac Eiger von Strange Ranger und Threshold und markiert die erste Co-Autorenschaft außerhalb des Kerntrios aus Lavers, McGrory und Paul. Lavers' fragmentierte Texte sind voller offener Fragen. Er war besonders von der Koexistenz von Nihilismus und Liebe eingenommen und sagte: "Es fühlt sich an, als müsste das eine das andere auslöschen, aber das tut es nicht." Emotionale Sublimierung steht im Mittelpunkt von Chanel Beads, als könne man etwas so fest umklammern, dass es transzendent wird. Your Day Will Come nutzt Traumlogik, um sich mit Liminalität und prekären Erinnerungen auseinanderzusetzen. Es ist geprägt von den Schatten bestimmter Verluste, aber auch davon, wie man sich selbst heimsuchen kann, indem man in alte Gewohnheiten zurückfällt.

Disco Segreta proudly presents the reissue of one of the most elusive and sought-after gems of underground italo disco, Govindo’s “Ou Ka Vini Com Moin”.

Originally released in 1983 on the obscure “Gala” label and quickly withdrawn from the market, this hypnotic, space-tinged cosmic italo disco bomb remained virtually unknown outside a small circle of hard core italo disco collectors — until now.

Wriitten by Mario Baldoni aka Miro and recorded during a journey across the French Antilles, the track was laid down in Fort-de-France, Martinique, capturing a unique cultural and musical intersection. Its title comes from a typical Martinican Creole expression—”U Ka Vini Co Muè”—meaning “C’mon, come with me.”

The track’s lush arrangement, crafted by Gregorio “Greg” Puccio, is a quintessential snapshot of analog italo disco at its finest: Roland Juno 60, JX-3P, Korg PolySix / Poly800, and LinnDrum LM-1 create a dreamlike, deeply atmospheric soundscape.

For the first time, this edition presents the original 12” full-length versions (vocal/instrumental), alongside the shorter 7” vocal version, remastered directly from the actual analog master tapes, plus two new remixes: the Marcello Giordani Hypnomix – a future electro synth classic from one of Italy’s finest producers and the Miro’s Fort de France Sunset – a balearic downbeat contemporary reinterpretation by the original artist 42 years after.

Detroit producer, Shawescape Renegade, comes to Tresor Records with Exoframe, a five-track EP of pure techno and electro, including a remix by Arpanet.
As with so many forerunners and peers in the Detroit techno world, Shawescape Renegade, is a deep thinking and a world-building story teller and Exoframe uses the traditional sci-fi narrative to explore recent thought Shaw has had on the potential hidden costs of technological
evolution: what happens when overspecialisation leads to a dead end; when inflexibility means a return to the old forms becomes difficult.
The EP opens with 78 Light Years From Earth, an effects-laden slab of electro that pulls the percussion into other dimensions. Mechanus 9 brings a techno edge before Terraformers Warning unleashes a bass-driven beast.
A fast-paced remodel of Terraformer’s Warning from Gerald Donald’s Arpanet project follows, before the EP is closed out with another bassline-forward track, Ignition One, an updated version of the Shawescape cut that soundtracked the section of the Black To Techno
documentary focussed on the Detroit’s Jit dance scene. The strong symbiosis between Jit and Techno is a foundational part of Detroit’s culture and a community tie and suggests that while technology may lead to stagnation, the cultural muscle memory offers a path back to
authenticity.
In a thoughtful nod to the praxis of the DJ, the vinyl versions of A1 & B1 are five BPM slower than the digital, moving the music to between 128BPM and 151BPM on a standard Technics turntable and opening it up for play in a greater range of club environs.
It’s this deep respect for the artistry and traditions of Detroit’s longstanding music and dance scenes that mark Shawescape Renegade out as one of the true inheritors of the city’s heritage.

Atkinson first saw Les yeux sans visage when she was a teenager, around the turn of the century. The film made an impact for its iconic imagery and the way Franju draws on the aesthetics of early filmmaking, from its score that relies on stylistic markers typical of the 1940s or 50s to the decision to shoot in black and white. Even four decades after its first release, it was clear that this was a work that stood outside of the cultural moment that birthed it, speaking through time in ways that were uncanny, but profound.

A quarter-century later, Atkinson was approached by the Belgian cultural center VIERNULVIER to create a new score for Les yeux sans visage for its celebrated Videodroom series, which has seen artists like claire rousay, Mabe Fratti, Lee Renaldo, and many more create new original scores for cult classics and genre cinema. Atkinson's music, with its sublime meditations on space and proximity, its elusive sense of narrative development, mirrors the pacing and mystery at the heart of horror filmmaking. There is a shadow at the heart of her soundtrack to Les yeux sans visage, an ever-shifting wisp and an insinuation of encroaching transfiguration. Echoing a climactic moment in the film, the music obliquely points to "the Beyond," an impossible place of discovery and revelation.

Atkinson envisioned her music as something akin to the air moving throughout and beyond the many cages that appear in the film, unconstrained by the bars and with undefined borders. Those cages hold the victims of a madman surgeon, determined to graft a new face onto his daughter, the protagonist Christiane Génessier, who lost hers in a car accident while he was behind the wheel. Atkinson was reminded of her predecessors at the pioneering French studio the GRM, who approached sound in a less sinister, but similarly surgical manner, and took inspiration from their playful approach to cerebral soundmaking for the electroacoustic topography into which the piano is embedded. As such, Atkinson’s reactions to the larger themes and the minute-by-minute happenings onscreen are both audible simultaneously.

A film about a man who destroys the lives of young women marked by their beauty and similarity to his daughter in a shame-fueled rage has clear, continuous cultural resonance. "Through the music, I decided to bring back their empowerment despite what they endure," says Atkinson. "This is why the record is also dedicated to Gisèle Pelicot, whose trial happened while I was in the process of composing the music and kept thinking of her strength and her decision to share her trial in order to reverse the shame."

This recorded version of the soundtrack is a 34-minute synthesis of the full 90-minute score, presented on LP along with an essay by writer-musician Claire Cronin and drawings by Momo Gordon, together forming a complex reflection on the film's themes. If these sounds move as if the bars of cages are no barrier, they also intimate the freedom and power of those held behind them. Rather than simply mirroring the fear and confinement shown onscreen, Atkinson offers an elusive escape, a beacon for the characters, and the listener, to follow as they reckon with the narrative and move through it.

Rocksteady Disco returns with more heat for the heads, this time from Glenn Echo & Daniel Meinecke delivering a stunning 7" that bridges various eras of dancefloor magic. Their take on Sylvester and Patrick Cowley's 'I Need Somebody To Love Tonight' is pure cosmic seduction with New Orleans vocalist Mark-Anthony Thomas channelling Sylvester's spirit while Meinecke's synth work and Glenn's rich production elevate the classic into a shimmering modern anthem. Flip it and Lucky 7s takes a left turn into dub-funk psychedelia with chunky drums, low-slung bass, wild time signatures and futuristic vocoder texture. Red hot so handle with care.

International dance music heavyweight, producer and DJ Alexander Lay-Far returns with a powerful new chapter - Lay-Far Dance Orchestra (LFDO) - a fully-fledged live band project that reconnects him with his jazz-funk and fusion DNA while pushing dance music forward with unmistakable groove, musicianship and emotional weight. Formed in early 2024, LFDO is no nostalgia exercise. With Lay-Far at the helm as bassist, bandleader, composer, arranger and sound engineer, the orchestra has already been turning heads with explosive live performances, reinventing classic Lay-Far cuts, and now unveil their first album “Skybreak” with all new and original material written and produced by Lay-Far together with his bandmates and star guests, including Lipelis, Antoha MC and Seven Davis Jr. This work shows the departure from the predominantly electronic sound of Lay-Far's previous solo albums in favour of live instrumentation recorded to analogue tape and effortlessly bridging the gap between Jazz, Library Music, Disco-Funk, House, Broken Beat and Drum’n’Bass. “Skybreak” is dynamic, passionate, spiritual, cinematic, playful, heartfelt, life-affirming, dreamy and deeply romantic. Ultimately, there’s something profoundly romantic in recording and releasing such music in this day and age!

It takes us on a beautifully orchestrated journey, blending the sensuality of Library Music with high-octane Jazz-Funk and raw b-boy breaks, propelled by breathtaking flute and Rhodes solos of Timur Nekrasov and Maxim Glonti. This aural symbiosis of “beauty and the beats” will become more and more prominent as the album unfolds.



It’s time for “Aquarius Love” created with the inimitable artist and vocalist Seven Davis Jr. (Secret Angels, Ninja Tune). In this composition cinematic soul and heavy jazz meet the restless energy of live drum & bass with deep and heartfelt vocals - timeless sound combined with a timeless message about love and life!



Next is “Head In The Clouds” - a theme for an imaginary rom-com, an ode to all the dreamers - sweet, light, naive and heartwarming. Space-Disco-Funk at its best!

“Where You From” is a fiery Soulful House number with heavy Afro-Latin influences recorded in collaboration with Lipelis. It’s full of Sun, joy and passion. Its irresistible rhythm is emphasised by funky octave bass, wah-wah guitar, catchy piano riffs, guitar solo by Lipelis and seemingly light conscious message delivered by Lay-Far and Maryag. Summer is here!

Now the album takes an unexpected twist in the form of “The Harp of Boom” which at first glance appears to be a classic-sounding Boom-Bap banger. Yes, It’s loud, raw, and gritty, yet it gradually evolves into something delicately-touching and deeply-soulful thanks to a memorable flute melody and lush string arrangement. Definitely recorded with tongue in cheek.


Next is “Feel The Moment” a remarkable collaboration with one of the most recognisable and distinctive Russian artists, singer, trumpeter and cultural icon Antoha MC. It’s a feel-good song, hopeful, life-affirming and bittersweet. A stylish excursion into Brit-Funk and Soviet Jazz-Fusion sound, drawing inspiration from the likes of Atmosfear, Light Of The World or Soviet Jazz bands like Allegro and Arsenal, but reimagining the influences through the modern West London broken beat lens.


The spectacular music journey continuous with “Take Flight (Part 2)” - it’s all about the deep infectious jazz-funk groove, heavy beats, rolling percussion and the glory of the soloing instruments - saxophone and flute by Timur Nekrasov, demonstrating the wide range of emotions from thoughtful and lyrical to restless and borderline vicious. One for freestyle dancing!

As the album draws to an end a vibrant musical triptych “Soul Constant” awaits, mixing together the deep and sensual mood of spiritual jazz with heavy syncopated drum’n’bass rhythms by Michail Fotchenkov, lush orchestration, expressive saxophone solos and the ending which can simply be described as “aural bliss”. It’s breath-taking!

A pleasant bonus is the exclusive version of “Where You From” by Lipelis himself, who is taking it into dub territories, further enhancing the rhythm section and enriching the song with his trademark playful synth flourishes and dreamy guitar solos for maximum effect (and appeal).

Diese Jubiläumsausgabe der ersten EP der Band enthält drei zusätzliche Tracks: remasterte Demos von 31 Seasons in the Minor Leagues" (zuvor unter dem Titel Tonight I'm So Down" bekannt) und Lonesome Valley", aufgenommen in den Echo Park Studios in Indiana während der Hard to Love a Man"-Sessions, sowie One Thin Dime", aufgenommen während der Black Ram"-Sessions in den Sound of Music Recording Studios in Richmond, Virginia. Blue Hour distills over a decade of artistry into his debut album Selva, unearthing eight tracks inspired by ancient wisdom and forgotten worlds.
Blue Hour is the moniker of Luke Standing, a multifaceted artist, producer, and label owner navigating between past and present electronic dance music. Over more than a decade, Standing has built a career balancing transformative craft with a sharp curatorial approach, earning him respect across the global scene. After years of sonic experimentation, he now releases his debut LP Selva. “I never set out to make an LP – it just wrote itself,” he says. “I followed my intuition, and the music found its own path.”
Born and raised in the UK, Standing grew up in parallel with club culture, moving between Brighton, Bristol and Berlin while running club nights and establishing himself under former aliases Furesshu and Esoteric.
He launched his Blue Hour project in late 2013, shortly after relocating to Berlin. Initially a platform for his own music, Blue Hour quickly became a collaborative hub, blurring the lines between personal output and curation. Over time, Standing has cultivated an international ecosystem of like-minded artists while continuously expanding his own sonic horizons.
Selva marks his first full-length studio album, weaving a lifetime of influences into a cohesive narrative inspired by ancient wisdom and forgotten worlds. The eight-track double LP transforms his inner dialogue into a subconscious story pulling inspiration from a labyrinthine network of influence and experience. “I followed the music obsessively, reflecting and refining until the story revealed itself,” Standing explains.
“To me, the LP evokes Amazonian or Mayan jungles, themes of exploration, the mysteries of the natural world, wisdom passed down through generations. I didn't set out to write about these things consciously,
they just emerged on their own.” he adds.The album was shaped through intensive work in his studio and periods spent in subtropical locations.
Listening closely, Selva unfolds like a modern ceremony: the opening tracks channel his early UK dance influences, shifting into blends of traditional and contemporary techno, then expanding into melodic soundscapes before concluding with transcendental textures and atmospheres. The result is an introspective journey where functionality and emotive storytelling coexist, revealing a depth in Blue Hour we haven’t heard before.
Whether performing, curating, or producing, Standing operates with a deep commitment to sound, culture, and collaboration. More than an artist, he is an architectural thinker of what electronic music could become. “Every release is my own metamorphosis,” he says. “This LP reflects my current form, and I’m curious to see what the next chapter brings.” Few artists can unify a lifetime of genre-spanning influences into a sound as sharp and focused. On Selva, Blue Hour does exactly that, opening a new era of deeper
immersion from his Berlin-based label.

Glaskin is the alias of two brothers, Jonathan and Ferdinand, based in Munich. The pair have emerged as key figures in the citys electronic music scene as longtime residents of the renowned Blitz Club, standing out a homegrown talents amongst its vibrant electronic landscape. Bringing a unique, forward-thinking techno style, as evidenced by their contributions to Mutual Rytms Federation Of Rytm II and III compilations in previous years, they now mark a new chapter and open 2025 in style with their debut 12 on the label, Inertia Of Motion. Each cut on the EP has been handcrafted with analogue gear, reflecting their distinctive artistic and sonic vision. The release is a direct outcome of the creative process behind their live set, which has become an integral part of the duos identity and shows a natural evolution of their singular sound.

Hush Up kicks things off with deep, rubbery and rolling techno rhythms. The drums are stripped back and laced with pulsing synth patterns and spoken word snippets that add a freaky edge. Cool Runnings is exactly that: a hypnotic, mid-nineties-tinged jungle cut stripped back and dubbed out, but sharpened with modern production techniques that give every snare and sub-bass a punchy, alive quality. Razor-sharp breaks collide with rolling basslines, weaving a track that’s at once nostalgic and fully of-the-moment.

The B-side flips the energy with Fracture’s remix, injecting fractured percussion, jagged fills, and high-octane bass tweaks. It’s a modern take that preserves the original’s laidback groove while kicking it into full-blown club chaos. Rooted in Pamplona’s Citadel —and more specifically within the Arms Hall— this release brings together Alberta Balsam, Boris Divider, Bendiak, Komatssu and µ-Ziq, artists whose practices have resonated within the festival’s ecosystem through a shared sensitivity to space, experimentation and sound as cultural expression. Their contributions are not conceived as documentation of an event, but as part of an ongoing cultural dialogue.

After a two-year pause, CHILDHOOD returns with a new 12", GROUND SUPPORT by REDUKS The release introduces REDUKS, a young Munich-based artist whose path crossed with Muallem through Blitz. What began as a working relationship quickly turned into a shared musical understanding. Despite the difference in generation, both are connected by a similar sensitivity: a deep respect for the past, an awareness of the present, and a clear instinct for what lies ahead. Sharing a studio, this connection naturally translated into music. REDUKS brings a rare combination of emotional intuition and technical precision -- a producer with a deep-rooted understanding of club music, yet unbound by formula. The result is a collection of four dub house cuts, each shaped for a different moment across the night. Timeless in character, the tracks lean into subtlety and function -- built for the dance floor, but never confined to it. This record also marks the beginning as the first release of an ongoing series.
