It started in a Brooklyn studio back in 2011. A raw demo, a shared vision, and a deep reverence for the echoes of Basic Channel and King Tubby. After years of meticulous overdubbing and sonic layering, Marter (Bass) & Yony (Drums) have finally completed their masterpiece. Originally licensed to Bill Laswell’s label for digital release, this warm, lo-fi journey is finally available in its truest form. Recorded on 4-track and 8-track tape before meeting ProTools, every frequency breathes with analog soul.

This album sold out immediately upon its initial release in 2018. Due to overwhelming demand, a highly limited number of copies have been repressed with sticker on black jacket.

Nach den ersten Charterfolgen von Kollegah, Favorite und Shiml folgt der zweite Labelsampler von Selfmade Records, "CHRONIK II", auf dem auch Selfmade-Neuzugang Casper erstmals vertreten ist.Auf 18 Tracks erlebt man die vier höchst unterschiedlichen Rapper Casper, Favorite, Kollegah & Shiml in Höchstform, sowohl solo, als auch auf gemeinsamen Songs. Nachdem die erste Hälfte des Samplers in erster Linie nach vorne geht und Spaß macht, werden gegen Ende auch sanftere Töne angeschlagen.Mit Olli Banjo, Marteria, Edo Maajka, Farid Bang, MontanaMax & SunDiego konnte man sich außerdem erstklassige Features an Land ziehen, die "CHRONIK II" endgültig zur Pflicht für jeden Deutschrap-Fan machen!Produziert wurde der Sampler zum Großteil vom mehrfachen Gold- und Selfmade-Hausproduzenten Rizbo, sowie von Newcomerproducer TiKay One. Weitere Produktionen stammen von Bjet, Alper, Joshimixu & Mauvais Garcon."CHRONIK II" macht die Ausnahmestellung von Selfmade Records im Deutschrap eindrucksvoll deutlich. Wer glaubt, deutsche Rapmusik sei nicht mehr interessant, wird hier vom Gegenteil überzeugt. Nie war ein Labelsampler vielseitiger und musikalisch hochwertiger.Neben der CD liegt "CHRONIK II" als besonderer Bonus die DVD "Selfmade Vol.1" bei. Diese DVD ist keineswegs nur Beilage, sondern ein vollwertiges, eigenständiges Produkt mit 2 Stunden Material. Sie enthält neben einer ausführlichen Tourdokumentation, Studioimpressionen und nie gesehenem Making Of-Material exklusive Einzelbeiträge aller Künstler. So sieht man etwa Casper als Reporter auf der Berlinale oder Favorite bei einem außergewöhnlichen Konzert in einer JVA.

„Tuiflsrijtt“ ist bayerisch/österreichisch für „Teufelsritt“ und
assoziiert sowohl die Krampusläufe als auch die Geschichte
hinter der Krampusgestalt (Mythos, Legende und Tradition).
Das Album fungiert als eine Brücke über die Grenzen des
Diesseits hinweg zu den Teufels- und Rauhnächten und
beschwört neben der dunklen Krampusgestalt, welche das
Fleisch mit ihren Ruten und Ketten martert und die
todgeweihten Seelen verschleppt, das Wesen der Drude, die
Ihre Opfer quält, Perchten, welche die Seelen ins Totenreich
fort bringen und die rasenden Dämonen der Wilden Jagd.
Musikalisch ist „Tuiflsrijtt“ eine konsequente
Weiterentwicklung des bestehenden Konzepts.

A journey - that"s how musicians like to describe working on a new album. In the case of of krajenski"s new LP "B-3 Vol. 2" it really was a journey.

Many ideas were born and discarded, several sessions were played for inspiration, plenty of songs were produced in advance - the journey is the journey. Then the decisive missing link: krajenski. was able to find the two musicians and producers Dirk Berger (Peter Fox, Seed, Marteria) and Samon Kawamura (Joy Denalane, Max Herre, Till Brönner) for this project. And suddenly the production took a completely different magical turn - away from a "band album" towards a musical experiment.

Firtan gehören seit 15 Jahren zu einer DER Institutionen der lokalen Black-Metal-Szene. Das 2022 veröffentlichte "Marter" wurde von Presse und Hörern äußerst positiv aufgenommen.

Reissue of the first three 12” in the record series dedicated to musicians who took part in the Greetings festival. It happened in 1987, it was time for Materiali Sonori 10th anniversary, an historic goal for the label/collective born in the small Tuscany village of San Giovanni Valdarno. The small celebration brought to life a box collecting the first 3 Eps of the Greetings from S.G.V. series. The series was intended as symbolic sound postcard, made with various musicians with whom the collective label shared a path, whether small or long. The Durutti Column, The Stockholm Monsters and Blaine R. Reininger (Tuxedomoon) are among the artist who took part to the project, here collected for the very first time. Lantern is pleased to pay tribute to the work of people whose passion, attitude, commitment and genuineness inspired this adventure still true to these days. "Our presence in this small tuscan town is almost casual... physically we were born and grew up here, while our hearts and our minds were travelling to Paris, Berlin, Brussels, New York or London" (Giampiero Bigazzi of Marteriali Sonori , taken from the original inner sleeves notes).

“Earth, Wind & Feiern” ist Jan Delays fünftes Soloalbum und sein erstes seit 2016. Wie immer bei Jan Delay schöpft “Earth, Wind & Feiern” aus fünf Jahrzehnten Popgeschichte. Vor allem aber spielt die Platte im Hier und Jetzt. In ihr stecken Burna Boy und Stefflon Don, Daft Punk und Drake, Sly & Robbie und Meek Mill. German producers Shuko and The Breed announce joint Westcoast Album "Dippin'"

The collaboration between producers Shuko and The Breed was love at first sight. Thanks to their preference for classic Westcoast sound, they immediately found a common denominator and harmonized excellently during the production. The result is the album "Dippin'", based on the song with the same name by Westcoast legend King Tee, who besides MC Eiht and Benny Sings is also the only rap feature on the instrumental hiphop album. After the song "Life in Los Angeles" with the Westcoast legends, the tune "Cali Sunshine" has officially announced the joint record of the producers, which is available on black gold in addition to the digital release at June 5.

The Breed and Shuko can already look back on a number of prominent productions in Germany and the world. The Breed was mainly responsible for the style-defining sound of Alles or Nix Records and is now mainly the house producer of Plusmacher, but has also built beats for famous German rappers like Olexesh, Haftbefehl or Marteria. Shuko is known in Germany as a producer for Casper, Cro, Farid Bang or Kollegah. Internationally he could already place beats on releases of Cypress Hill, Evidence, The Clipse, Lil Wayne or Nipsey Hussle. But besides their productions for rappers and singers they have always concentrated on their solo careers. Both are very successful in the field of instrumental HipHop and can boast impressive figures in the millions on Spotify. But what unites the two is their love for the Westcoast sound of the 90s. Therefore, they have now joined forces for a project on which they pay homage to classical G-funk, but also create a new modern version of this genre. This album is a tribute to the city of angels and its style-defining sound. The instrumental bangers fit perfectly into the summer and are the perfect soundtrack for sun, beer and BBQ.
