Mutant, and Sony Classical will also release a second album featuring original score by Academy Award® winning composer Ludwig Göransson.

SINNERS is written and directed by Coogler and stars Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Omar Benson Miller, Jayme Lawson and Delroy Lindo. The Proximity Media production will be released in theaters nationwide on April 18 by Warner Bros. Pictures.

On the record New Chapter, sound from all directions of the sky is transformed as it flows through the bodies of the musicians. Sophisticado Recordings label head Vick Lavender hails from Chicago and is doing fine work to continue the city's house legacy. Back in January, he dropped the superb Time Traveler album and is now back with a cheeky one-sided 12" on limited white vinyl that draws on some mad classic sounds, all worked up into a super funk and jazzy jam that's layered up with Rhodes jams, splashy cymbals, rubbery and rolling baselines and organic percussion. It's the sort of steamy session to get cosy backrooms really heated up and boiling over. Another standout from Lavender.

To create the score for Jurassic World Rebirth, director Gareth Edwards turned to a distinguished friend, two-time Oscar® winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water), who worked with Edwards on Godzilla. “I feel very fortunate to be doing the music for a movie franchise like this, which entertained me so greatly, as a filmgoer, for decades,” Desplat says. “I dreamed of writing music for movies like this since I was a teenager, and now, here I am,” he adds with a laugh, “part of Jurassic World, almost a teenager.”



Rebirth represents the second time that Desplat has stepped into a franchise and inherited and adapted iconic musical motifs written by an artist he considers his “forever idol,” the legendary John Williams: Desplat previously took on that challenge with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2. “John Williams wrote a fantastic melody for Jurassic Park that I now get to reinvent, rejigger and resculpt in ways benefit our movie,” Desplat says. “My desire was not to quote John’s score bluntly but subtly echo it or make use of it in the original score I have written for the film in playful and meaningful ways.”

Ryan Silva, known professionally as Plato III, is an American rapper, producer, and songwriter. He is recognized for his introspective lyrics, fusing personal narratives with sharp insights on race, class, and identity. His music blends hip-hop with influences ranging from indie rock to r&b and funk, creating a sound that is both boundary-pushing and deeply rooted in his experiences.

After self-releasing several projects throughout the 2010s, Plato III gained wider attention with his 2022 Polyvinyl debut, The Devil Has Texas, a vivid exploration of his trailer park upbringing in West Texas. On his new album, Grown, Silva pushes his artistry even further, with a more pop-forward approach that showcases his innovative sound and compelling storytelling. Produced by Phillip Odom (Militarie Gun, Say Anything), Grown features Silva’s most mature work to date, examining the weight of responsibility and aging under the strain of capitalism. Die legendären und sich ständig weiterentwickelnden Zamrock-Pioniere WITCH (We Intend To Cause Havoc) verschieben mit ihrem neuen Album 'SOGOLO' weiterhin die Grenzen. Nach ihrem bemerkenswerten Comeback und dem von der Kritik gefeierten Zango von 2023 - ihrem ersten Album seit fast 40 Jahren - beweist 'SOGOLO', dass ihr innovativer Geist nach wie vor ungebrochen ist.

Abgeleitet vom sambischen Wort für 'Zukunft', verwebt 'SOGOLO' den von der Garage inspirierten Psych, Funk und Rock, den WITCH in ihrer Blütezeit in den 1970er Jahren buchstäblich miterfunden haben, mit dem experimentellen Geist des Augenblicks. Aufgenommen in Berlin während ihrer Welttournee, strotzt 'SOGOLO' vor Dringlichkeit, Aufregung und Entdeckungen, wie immer angetrieben von der magnetischen Präsenz des Frontmanns Emmanuel „Jagari“ Chanda.

Die Geschichte von WITCH ist fast zu außergewöhnlich, um sie zu glauben. Bekannt als die „Beatles von Sambia“, gründeten sie die Zamrock-Bewegung und veröffentlichten in den 70er und frühen 80er Jahren sieben Alben. Tragischerweise beendete die Aids-Epidemie die Zamrock-Ära und kostete allen Bandmitgliedern außer Jagari das Leben. Ihre Musik wurde 2012 wiederveröffentlicht und löste eine weltweite Wiederentdeckung aus, die zu ihrer triumphalen Rückkehr führte. Zango wurde von der New York Times in den höchsten Tönen gelobt, es gab ausverkaufte Welttourneen und einen preisgekrönten Dokumentarfilm, der weltweit ausgestrahlt wurde.

Mit 'SOGOLO' bestätigen WITCH, dass ihr kreatives Feuer noch immer brennt und beweisen, dass ihr Vermächtnis noch lange nicht zu Ende ist.

"Ephemeral Memory" ist das Debütalbum von Hip-Hop-Produzent, Komponist und Multi-Instrumentalist Braths, aka Thomas Horeczko, bei Sony Music. Darauf präsentiert der für seine Zusammenarbeit mit Hip-Hop Stars wie Apache 207, reezy, Nimo und Olexesh, Chapo102, oder Ezhel bekannte Musiker eigene instrumentale Kompositionen. Miniaturen für Soloklavier verbindet er mit gelayerten Streicherklängen und melancholischen Orchesterarrangements zu einer eigenen, atmosphärischen Klangwelt. Viele Instrumente hat Braths dabei selbst eingespielt, als Special Guests sind Esther Abrami und das ORF Radio-Symphonieorchester Wien auf dem Album zu hören. "Ephemeral Memory" ist für den 1998 in Paris als Sohn einer sudanesischen Mutter - einer Cellistin - und eines ukrainischen Vaters - einem Komponisten - geborenen Braths eine Hommage an die Geschichte seiner Familie und Vorfahren. Das Album thematisiert die Migrationserfahrung seiner eigenen Familie und die damit verbundenen, latenten Erinnerungen und komplexen Emotionen, die über Generationen fortbestehen. Erfahrungen wie Sklaverei und die Mühe Grenzen und Nationalitäten zu überwinden, spielen dabei eine Rolle. Braths wurde 1998 in Paris als Sohn einer sudanesischen Mutter, einer Cellistin, und eines ukrainischen Vaters, einem Komponisten, geboren und war von klein auf von Musik umgeben.
