Kaizers Orchestra präsentieren eine komprimierte, aber dennoch umfangreiche Sammlung ihres facettenreichen und charismatischen, musikalischen Universums. Das norwegische Sextett, geliebt für seine kathartischen Rocksongs zwischen New Yorker Jazzmelodien und osteuropäischer Volksmusik, mischte mit seinem Debütalbum 2001 (das meistverkaufte Rockdebüt in norwegischer Sprache) die norwegische Szene auf, erreichte mit jedem Album die #1, gewann haufenweise norwegische Grammies, feierte Erfolge und tourte in und durch Europa, u.a. bespielte es dreimal die Roskilder Hauptbühne. Tommy McLain, one of the founding fathers of the swamp pop genre,
returns with his first new album in over 40 years: I Ran Down Every Dream
Produced by fellow Lil' Band O' Gold member CC Adcock, the album features
contributions from legendary artists who cite Tommy as a major influence,
including Elvis Costello, Nick Lowe, Van Dyke Parks and Augie Meyers. At 82
years young, Tommy has finally released the album of his career. Ranging from
the Americana roots sound of "Somebody" and "Livin' on the Losin' End" to
stripped- back, introspective renditions of early Tommy hits like "No Tomorrows
Now" and "Before I Grow Too Old," Tommy McLain cements himself as one of the
few living legends from the 1960s who is still putting out new music and touring
around the world. A beautiful look at a songwriter who (a half- century later) is
finally receiving his due.

Christian Naujoks' work has been heard and seen in a wide range of contexts, from nightclubs to concert halls, art venues and the theatre. He released three solo albums on Berlin-based label Dial Records. After his critically-acclaimed album "Wave" (2016), which has been praised as a contemporary masterpiece of ambient romance and "the most exquisitely melancholy thing he's done yet" (Pitchfork), followed by numerous collaborative projects with performance artist Ei Arakawa, filmmaker Loretta Fahrenholz and composer Ari Benjamin Meyers, among others, Christian Naujoks is back with a new record produced during his exhibition "Soft Mouth Data Service" at Galerie Max Mayer in Düsseldorf.

Mit ‘SERPENTINA’ betritt BANKS bisher unbekanntes Territorium und zwar in jeder Hinsicht – vom Sound bis zu den Lyrics, den Visuals und allem dazwischen.
Der Albumtitel reflektiert dieses Spielerische und das Gefühl, sich neu zu erfinden. Das Wort “Serpentine” kritzelte BANKS früher oft in ihren Schulkalender. Das “a” am Ende steht für eine Feminisierung dieser Idee – eine Verkörperung von einer Art Schlangenkönigin, wie BANKS es beschreibt.

BANKS ist eine amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin, Produzentin, Dichterin und Regisseurin. Seit ihrem atemberaubenden Debüt 2014 hat BANKS insgesamt mehr als 1,4 Mrd. Streams erreicht und rund um den Globus ausverkaufte Konzerte und Festivals gespielt. Ihr Debütalbum Goddess wurde von der Kritik gefeiert, schaffte es in sieben Ländern in die Top 20 der Charts (u. A. in Nordamerika) und machte ihr einen Namen für einen ganz eigenen Sound: Alternative Pop mit einem Hauch unkonventionellem R&B, mit dem sie aufgewachsen ist. 2016 meldete sich BANKS mit The Altar zurück – eine dunklere, intensivere Abwandlung der Themen, mit denen sie sich auf Goddess beschäftigt hatte. Auch dieses Album fand bei den Kritikern großen Anklang und erreichte mehrere Top 20-Platzierungen in den USA und weiteren Ländern. Zu ihrem dritten Album III präsentierte sie 2019 die aufregende, synthlastige Vorabsingle “Gimme”, produziert von Hudson Mohawke. Mit seiner eher experimentellen und fast verspielten Produktion und den reiferen Texten war III ein weiterer Schritt in ihrer künstlerischen Entwicklung. Nach dem Erfolg von III begab sich BANKS auf ihre mit 33 ausverkauften Konzerten in neun Ländern bis dato umfangreichste Tour. Als Muse von Modehäusern wie Chanel und Dior war sie bei diversen Fashionshows in der ersten Reihe und auf den Covern zahlreicher Hochglanzmagazine auf der ganzen Welt zu sehen. Sie ist auf vielen der größten Festivals aufgetreten, darunter Coachella und Lollapalooza, spielte im berühmten Guggenheim in New York und war in vielen TV-Shows zu sehen (z. B. Colbert, Kimmel, Meyers).

Maybe We Never Die, Anderson East's third release for Elektra/Low Country Sound takes the Alabama born, Nashville-based singer-songwriter’s seductively vintage voice in a decidedly fresh direction. The 12 tracks flow together with an overarching sense of ambience but maintain distinct musical boundaries. The energy toggles between a hunger for vulnerability in togetherness and a clinging to solitude as a romantic self-defense. There is consternation with the speed and volume at which the world operates and solace to be found in the simple act of getting up and going. And the beguiling title track, with its woozy strings swirling around East’s celestial falsetto as it curls towards the ceiling like smoke is, as they say, a whole mood; a sense of a single night’s dusk-to-sunrise contemplation. Collaborating once again with Dave Cobb along with longtime bandleader and now co-producer Philip Towns, East has found an enticing new avenue, one that maintains a connection to his past but keeps his eyes on the road ahead.

Maybe We Never Die is East's first new music since 2018's breakthrough album, Encore, which featured the Grammy-nominated #1 AAA radio single, "All On My Mind." Heralded by critics, The New York Times praised Encore as, “…an often lustrous revisiting of raucous Southern soul, rousingly delivered and pinpoint precise. He has a voice full of extremely careful scrape and crunch, but his howls never feel unhinged," while Rolling Stone declared, “On Encore, East’s influences meld seamlessly, stacking the album with Stax-worthy R&B grooves, gospel-blues ooohs and aaahs, surging keys and blasting brass.” Known for his magnetic live performances, East and his band have performed sold-out shows worldwide and have been featured on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," CBS' "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and "CBS This Morning Saturday," NBC's "TODAY" and "Late Night with Seth Meyers," PBS' "Austin City Limits" and more.

"On this seven track album we hear MinaeMinae (alias Bastian Epple) playfully scurry through his dense soundscapes on a tightrope. The sounds lying somewhere on the crossroads of psychedelic trance, exotica, ambient and melodic dance music – veering further off orbit with nontypical rhythms and dystopian percussive patterns.

MinaeMinae understands musical material similar to documentary footage which he would cut up, repitch, and rearrange freely. Most of his tracks are a mix of analog, synthetic sounds and recordings of ethnic percussion and guitar. Recently Bastian began experimenting with modular synthesis and self made tape echoes - seeking a more reduced and minimal composition style compared to his earlier quite whimsical tunes.

Growing up in a small village in southern Germany, Bastian was never interested in kitschy folk sounds that everyone would mindlessly clap and sing along to, rather he took solace in the time he would spend delving into patterns and repetitions that pleased him. His guitar strumming and what sounded to his mother like a young Philip Glass on a cheap Casio keyboard encouraged little Epple to continue on this self-taught path of developing his musical language. He then started to experiment with a tape recorder and layering sounds with non-musical samples, which his former village friends found too weird – then to eventually working with a small freeware DAW. Bastian went on to study Media Art at the Center for Art and Media (ZKM) in Karlsruhe – initially enrolled in music but the frustration and doubt of not being able to produce the music he wanted led him into film and documentary media. During his studies, Bastian was living with Florian Meyers (Don’t DJ) for several years where they would philosophize life and music into the wee hours – he encouraged Bastian to start sharing what he’s been quietly working on all these years and slowly emerge from this anonymity which eventually led to his first release on Human Pitch last fall.

TV Victor was one of the first artists of Tresor Records where he became legendary with several of his ambient and trance productions including Trance Garden 1-3 and Trancecology Chapter 1. In 1989, he launched his first solo project: Moondance - The Magic Sound of the Moon, where he lay foundations for later explorations with experimental sounds fused with pop elements and anticipated an ambient excursion to be had in the future.

In the following decades TV Victor created impressive solo works that traversed between ambient and trance, he collaborated with artists like Moritz v. Oswald, Max Loderbauer, Ari Benjamin Meyers, Paul Browse and Tobias Freud. Contrary to common mainstream tendencies he created a very unique interpretation of both genres. In recent years Victor has concentrated on creating experimental and abstract sonic spaces for escaping reality, spaces that live through the imagination of the listener. Each piece, a segment of a larger musical movement; stands alone to create new sonic continuums. Otherworldy music that is in its own sphere.

30 years after the release of Moondance and 50 years after the first landing, Lullabies For Insomniacs revisit TV Victor's musical roots with 'Back To The Moon'. The previously unreleased works were carefully selected from his vaults and restored by Berlin based engineer Brett Olke (B Ashra), the album offers a glimpse into the future by creating a soundtrack for mankind's settlement of beyond in a conceivable hereafter.

While their trademark sound has always been flourished with plenty of nods to the past - think jazz-funk, disco, acid jazz and boogie - Reel People's career has been forged on crafting new songs and instrumentals. For their latest album, "Retroflection", they've decided to flip the script, serving up a set of covers of classic cuts with the assistance of some notable vocalists. It's a neat twist and one that results in a string of superb revisions. Check, for example, the Mica Paris-fronted take on Alicia Meyers' "I Want To Thank You", their starry version of electrofunk staple "Don't Stop The Music" (complete with sublime Angie Stone vocal), an Incognito style take on Willie Bobo's "Always There" and a riotous, scene-stealing romp through Pleasure favourite "Joyous".
