Während Mild Minds 2020 erschienenes Debütalbum, „MOOD“, eine kreative Offenbarung und eine risikofreudige Abkehr von seiner Arbeit hinter den Kulissen darstellte, ist „GEMINI“ ein Zeugnis dessen, dass sich dieser künstlerische Sprung gelohnt hat. Das Album verweist auf die Underground-Clubmusik der Jahrhundertwende und verwendet Breaks, luftige Pads und abgehackte R&B-Samples aus den 2000erJahren, neben frühen Trance-Einflüssen und ätherischen Vocals. Diese klangliche Grundlage schafft auf dem Album einen beispiellosen Dialog zwischen cluborientierten Elementen und melancholischen Emotionen, die in der Dance-Musik selten erforscht werden. Das Album zeigt Benjamin Davids Entwicklung als Produzent und vertieft die Überschneidung von organischen und elektronischen Soundscapes, die zum Markenzeichen seines Projekts, Mild Minds, geworden sind. Der neueste Teil der Geschichte, die mit „GEMINI“ erzählt werden soll, demonstriert die Fähigkeit von Mild Minds, komplexe, emotionsgeladene Kompositionen zu schaffen, die sowohl auf der zerebralen als auch auf der viszeralen Ebene bei seinen Hörer:innen ankommen.

At Cloud’s Length is a collaborative compilation of musical works from artists on Melbourne/Naarm based collective WAT artists, using the vehicle of music as the driving force of connection.

While the opportunities to gather have been put on hold, this compilation is a collaborative release rising from a challenge set to the WAT artists roster to connect and create using isolation as a creative parameter from which to generate new music, resulting in surprising and powerful musical cross-pollination.

At Cloud’s Length - an ode to the use of cloud storage as the last front of musical collaboration during lockdown - reaches through the veil of isolation, passing overland, gathering energy and offering a release saturated with creativity and collaboration from afar.
This compilation is both a confluence of unique and diverse creative minds and a narrative of humanity's desire for deeper meaning and connection.

Last spotted on Planet E and boasting a 15 year back-cat on the likes of Cadenza, Biologic, Just This, Hivern Discs and Mule Muziq, Eduardo is a man you're already well acquainted with. And you're going to want to get even closer once you've digested these four straight-to-business stripped-back traxx. Each cut designed for deep mix tailoring that you can really bend minds with.

'It's Me... The Apple Knocker' ignites the fire with a flash as we're hurled into a hypnotic frenzy from the first loop. A whirlwind comprised of so few parts yet causing a riot in your senses, this stutters and slurs with a precision sense of unease. The troubled ebb and flow of 'Opsimath' follow suit with a twinkling feeling of unknown. An extensive groove weighing in at nearly nine minutes, its unhurried nature alludes to its title; the longer you leave it sizzle, the more enriching it gets.

Flip for 'Breatharian'. The deepest, most disarming cut of the collection laced with yearning strings and poignant chords, it's a solar-inspired sunset piece that gradually morphs into something much darker and serious as the track progresses. Finally we conclude with 'Cybersquatting', a timeless mildly dubbed-out darkroom groove that flows with liquid insistency. Subtly mutating and rotating, forever pumping, it's a true calm before the storm piece, tailored for those moments when you need a little suspense and space in your set.
