A collection of music for the various films and theatre plays by Mirko Krsticevic, Croatian and Yugoslavian composer and musician active since 1970s. All and Nothing at All (Film and Theatre Music 1978 - 1988) focuses on his work for the underground and avantgarde cinema from the era: directors Ivan Martinac, Svemir Pavic, Lordan Zafranovic, Aleksandar F. Stasenko and Vanca Kljakovic are all part of the Split Cinema Club association; their work explores art, death, sexuality and eroticism. Pavic's portrait of surrealist painter Ljuba Popovic, made in the same year as its counterpart by Walerian Borowczyk, features scenes form Beaubourg Gallery in Paris and Udo Kier as a guest. Side B of the record is all about theatre: plays by Sam Shepard, Rainer Werner Fassbinder and Jean Giraudoux were all produced in Sarajevo and Split in the 1980s, with the rare electronic takes by Mirko Krsticevic and his subtle minimalist soundings of the themes from the Cold War era. This unique and diverse compositions by founder of the rock band Metak and sound studio Tetrapak from Split, are document of the time that is, especially in the closing Chernobyl theme, relevant again. Composer, musician and musical arranger Mirko Krsticevic was born in 1948 in Sibenik. He graduated in music theory at the Pedagogical Academy in Split and then at the Music Academy in Sarajevo. He studied composition with Josip Magdic, Mladen Pozajic and Miroslav Spiler. He is the co-founder of the Tetrapak music studio in Split, where numerous performers and musicians have recorded (Animatori, D'Boys, Haustor, Oliver Mandic, Gibonni, Srdjan Marjanovic, Stil, Trotakt Projekt and others). The first group he founded was the rock group Che, which performed his own songs, in which he played bass guitar. It was founded in the summer of 1969. Together with Ranko Boban and Momcilo Popadic, he founded the Metak group in the spring of 1978 in Prigradica on Korcula. In the group, he is the author of songs and lyrics, and he also plays the bass guitar. "Da mi je biti morski pas" is the group's most successful single, which in 1980 became one of the most played songs on radio and television. Metak performed in Belgrade in front of 70,000 people, and the media declared them the best group along with Macedonian Leb i sol. In compositional work and arrangements for other pop and rock artists, Krsticevic had high commercial success with Tutti Frutti Balkan Band, Biljana Petrovic, Seid Memic Vajta, Pepel in kri, Osmi putnik, Oliver Dragojevic , Djordji Peruzovic, Henda and others. Parallel to his pop and rock career, Krsticevic composed stage and film music for 45 films, mostly collaborating with the circle of experimental and amateur directors of the Split Cinema Club (Kino klub Split) as well as the rest of the local underground scene. He is the author of stage music for 130 theatre plays, and also records his own compositions in the field of contemporary music. He wrote over 30 works for solo instruments, chamber and symphonic music. At the end of 2007, he founded the Split society for contemporary music and the contemporary music ensemble Splithesis. In 2015, he founded his own orchestra The Highway to Well Family, composed of fourteen musicians and three singers. In 2021, he founded Arthesis, an artistic organization for contemporary music and visual arts. He is the author of four operas: "Krvava svadba" (1997), "Halugica" (1999), "Atlantida - Legenda o Dan'zoru" (2018) i "Atlantida II - Lu'blis Kaoamos" (2020). Electronic funk holy grail written and superbly arranged by the likes of the south Italian-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Mario Rosini. This incredibly rare original 7" reportedly dropped in the mid-80s during the blueprint of the Italodisco era and, in some way, it fixes perfectly those feelings but with an upgrade that places it at a level to be considered as a classic of the dance scene without the time and genre limits. Following contributions from Carl Craig, Stacey Pullen and Wajeed, Swiss DJ and producer Mirko Loko steps forward to mix the fourth volume of Planet E's mix series, Detroit Love. Active since the late nineties when he first began DJing in the clubs of Lausanne, Switzerland, Mirko Loko has always felt a deep connection to the music of Detroit. Having been personally invited by Carl Craig to play at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival in 2001, that connection has stayed consistent and electric ever since. Mirko Lokois also known as a Cadenza mainstay and a curator of Verbier's Polaris Festival, but the music of the Motor City has been the guiding force of his creative career.
Swiss DJ & producer, Mirko Loko, continued to indulge in his intergalactic persuasions on last year's long player Comet Plan". Released on Cadenza, Mirko's second album was enthusiastically received and picked up many fans for its collection of blissfull and wide-eyed electronica and techno sounds. Featured guests on the album included dOP's vocalist, JAW, and Francesco Tristano. 12 months on, and Comet Plan' gets revisited and remixed by two stellar names from the electronic dance community. Sebastian Mullaert is well known for partnership with Marcus Henriksson as Minilogue, the Swedish duo responsible for killer albums & singles for the likes of Cocoon, Silver Planet and Wagon Repair. Mullaert plumps for a solo remix of Venus' of epic proportions, split into two versions, Phaze One' and Phaze Two". An organic trip through the cosmos, Mullaert tweaks and teases over two seductively trippy versions, showing us a master class in minimal electronics. Hailing from Dallas, Brett Johnson has become synonymous with masterful jackin house music via singles for Derrick Carter's Classic, DJ Sneak's Magnetic, Freerange and Visionquest. Brett tackles U Special' featuring JAW, and turn in a very tasty Remix and Instrumental version. Soulful, spacey and groovy in equal doses, Brett delivers the goods in abundance on these mixes. A tight remix package that bows respectfully to Mirko's original visions, and a timely reminder, to the uninitiated, to check out the album for further inspection.
Six years on from his debut album on Cadenza, Swiss DJ/producer Mirko Loko comes with the follow up to 2009's 'Seventynine' as he catapults us into the techno and electronica galaxy with 'Comet Plan'. 'Un voyage entre toute mes influences,' Mirko Loko shares, breaking into his mother tongue to describe the essence of his sophomore longplayer that was conceived in Berlin and later birthed in his hometown of Lausanne after a two-year gestation period. Literally translated as 'to travel between my influences', it's a fitting summation of an artist whose work has respectfully mined early inspiration from Detroit and Chicago that laid the foundations of the emotion-filled productions that we know of him from today. In addition to this, Mirko sees his connection with Luciano's Cadenza Music, a relationship that's been in existence since dot one and saw the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Melchoir, Pedro and Rahdoo make up one of the most innovative crews in dance music, as leaving an indelible imprint on his musical DNA to this day. It's Mirko's strong sense of musical identity that is at the core of 'Comet Plan', a work that's equally informed by the artist's spiritual connection with the Motor City as his halcyon Cadenza roots. And one thing's for sure; he knows how to captivate: take 'Venus' whose trickles of melody and syncopated drum rhythms increases in intensity with each bar towards an eerie crescendo. Then there's 'U Special' that builds the kind of subtle party vibes you could imagine Luciano dropping to create one of those moments to a heaving blissed out dancefloor. 'Kolor' - the album's early single (also remixed by Carl Craig as part of an excellent EP package) is sprinkled with a dusting of xylophones, chimes and other bells as the melody is driven forward for a heady trip across the electronic galaxy.

The remixes are made by Anonym (Sushitech) and Francesco Bonora (Abstract Theory) & Mirko (Etichetta Nera) who are staying in this dreamy realm. The track is made at a lakeside which is portrait by the artwork. 'Valley of Shadows' is a deep track that is characterized by the dub sound from Berlin. Tight rhythms and synths with that 80s taste. These are the hallmarks of 'My Own Sky' made by the Ukrainian producer Volta Cab, in a strong acid house style. Daniela La Luz, obsessed by ability of mixing different genres in her productions; a lot of determination in every piece and this remix is the confirmation. Seventh vinyl for the Frole Records label, a track full of ambient and electronic sounds, a good mix of beats and avant-garde atmospheres whereas nothing is left to chance. Sounds and percussions change shape and tone, but they are all the continuity of each other.
Long serving Cadenza recording artist, Mirko Loko, has always worn his Detroit musical influences on his sleeve, counting pioneer Carl Craig as his mentor, and having worked with the likes of Derrick May and Stacey Pullen in the studio.
And on Daybreak, Mirko fully indulges in the one genre that seems never to get tarnished, the mechanical and industrial beats working off the deep and soulful strings and melancholic pads, a true hallmark of the classic sounds of the Motor City. Originally released on Outpost Recordings, the label run by Scottish techno don, Funk D'Void, the masterful Original Mix from Takuya Yamashita gets three new versions from Mirko. Takuya, a techno artist from Kobe, Japan has already sparkled on labels like Biotech and Espai, and in his Original version we have a driving and energetic piece of classic techno. Mirko remains ever faithful to the melody and sounds of the original, providing a full beats re-rub on the 'Mn version', and an alternate 'Taiy version' that's more urgent, with its broken beat. The digital only 'Kanj no' version dispenses of a backbeat entirely, creating a remix that forever teases with it's percussive elements, building up great anticipation throughout. As Cadenza continues to celebrate its 10th year as a label, it takes delight in backing great music from its artists and associates, and this release is another curveball in the label's eclectic catalogue.
The American rock band was formed in 1996 by lead singer and guitarist Alex Band and guitarist Aaron Kamin. They’re best known for their hit single “Wherever You Will Go”, which topped the Adult Top 40 for 23 consecutive weeks, making it the second longest running #1 hit in the chart’s history. The track featured on their debut album Camino Palmero, which was released in 2001. At the time, the band’s lineup included Band, Kamin, Sean Woolstenhulme, Nate Wood and the Grammy Award-nominated multi-instrumentalist Billy Mohler.
Camino Palmero was a commercial success and was certified with a Platinum status in several territories. In addition to the hit “Wherever You Will Go”, the band spawned two more singles, “Adrienne” and “Could It Be Any Harder”. The album features several guest performances; Whitesnake member Paul Mirkovich, who is also the band leader of Cher; session musician Bob Glaub, who played with artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Journey, Bob Dylan and many more; producer Ron Fair, who produced multiple #1 hits.
SNOMIR is the collaboration between Mirko Iobbi and Sabatino Matteucci, blending live musicianship with clubfocused electronic production. The A-side features “Air” and “Fire,” two jazz-driven house tracks where expressive sax lines glide over warm, groove-led rhythms. Organic, fluid and built for movement. On the B-side, “Caveman” shifts into deeper dub techno territory. Hypnotic structures, textured low-end and sax riffs woven directly into the sonic fabric.

Enter IFEEL088, a split remix 12” that stitches together two albums, two projects, and a collection of kindred spirits who understand the delicate art of sonic transformation.
Charlie Charlie (the Swedish duo of Chords and Bella Boo) have been long-time admirers of Mondag, ever since their ears first met the melancholic splendor of Sad Soup. When it came time to create Save Us, they had one request: a sax solo from Kristian (of Mondag fame). A beautiful idea, but as the fates (and studio schedules) would have it, the horns never made it onto the album.
Fast forward, and what began as a missed opportunity has now come full circle. Mondag, still taken with Save Us, took matters into their own hands and offered up a remix – a shimmering, unexpected rework of a track that already carried so much weight. Charlie Charlie obliged. And, because there’s no such thing as too much of a good thing, Bella Boo herself offers a tight and nimble edit, while Gerd Janson drapes the track in an ambient mist for those more horizontally inclined.
Hypernatural exists in some liminal space between waking life and dreamstate, it makes sense that its remixes should play with perspective. The trio—Dan Whitford (Cut Copy), Mirko Vogel, and Mike Gamwell (a.k.a. Knightlife)—crafted their album between the Swedish coast and the Scottish highlands, capturing the sublime and the surreal in equal measure. Now, it’s time to hand things over to new guides.
