A collection of Haruomi Hosono's commercial works from '82 to '85. The collection features a variety of types of music, including elegant piano, oriental tones, and tango-infused pieces.

A collaboration project with Atelier Archimia, a team of Milanese designers, for the "Japan Avant Garde of the Future" exhibition held in Genoa, Italy in 1985. The 13 pieces were improvised while looking at photographs of the 13 sculptures they designed.

This is a recording of the music used in a 16mm film of the same name made in Okinawa in 1984.It combines elements of Okinawan music with gamelan rhythms and mysterious synths to create an expansive sound that could be described as Asian.

This album was created based on Hosono's experiences in Amakawa, Nara Prefecture. It is an ambient work with a divine mood, created almost by improvisation.

On the production side, PRESERVATION’s musical journey, whether with long-time collaborator Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def), or as one half of Dr. Yen Lo with Brooklyn emcee Ka, or through legendary collaborations with the likes of billy woods, MF DOOM, Roc Marci, RZA, Sean Price, Raekwon and countless others, have made him an iconic name in musical alchemy.

Destroy All Neighbors is a twisted splatter-comedy about a deranged journey of self-discovery full of goopy practical FX, a well-known ensemble cast, and LOTS of blood. William Brown (Jonah Ray Rodrigues), is a neurotic, self-absorbed musician determined to finish his prog-rock magnum opus, facing a creative roadblock in the form of a noisy and grotesque neighbor named Vlad (Alex Winter).

He finally works up the nerve to demand that Vlad keep it down, and William inadvertently decapitates him. But, while attempting to cover up one murder, William's accidental reign of terror causes victims to pile up and become undead corpses who torment and create more bloody detours on his road to prog-rock Valhalla. The soundtrack is an infectious slice of progressive rock cues, EDM freakouts, 80’s synth pop and so much more by the brilliant Ryan Kattner & Brett Morris. Released in conjunction with SUB POP Records, and features an original song by MAN MAN, artwork by Johnny Dombrowski, and pressed on coloured vinyl.

Robin Carolan's latest soundtrack for Robert Eggers' highly anticipated Nosferatu is a haunting, gothic-infused and meticulously crafted work that draws from a vast palette of sounds, instruments, and inspirations. Following their successful collaboration on The Northman, Carolan reunites with Eggers to bring the legendary tale of Nosferatu to life, infusing the film with a score that is as complex and nuanced as the story itself. With Daniel Pioro, one of Britain's most exciting young classical musicians, at the helm as the orchestra leader and first chair for a vast majority of the recording, the soundtrack features a vast orchestration, including 60 string players, a full choir, various horns and woodwinds, a harpist, and two percussionists. Despite the grandeur of the orchestration, one of the most challenging pieces was the music box used at the film's beginning. Carolan and Eggers struggled to perfect its sound, a process marked by their meticulous attention to detail, which Carolan describes as almost telepathic. Set in the 1800s, Nosferatu allowed Carolan to incorporate contemporary instrumentation, though he made a deliberate effort to ensure the score didn't sound overly modern. Letty Stott, who also worked on The Northman, contributed ancient horns and pipes, enhancing the soundtrack's eerie atmosphere. Additionally, percussionist Paul Clarvis custom-built a toaca-like instrument for added authenticity. Carolan's inspirations for the soundtrack were as eclectic as they were profound. He frequently drew upon the works of Bartok and Coil, while films like The Innocents, Angels and Insects, and Eyes Wide Shut provided cinematic inspiration. Additionally, he explored the more obscure side of Hammer Horror soundtracks and found a deep connection to the music of the Ukrainian film The Eve of Ivan Kupalo, which helped shape the score's otherworldly tone. Carolan intentionally moved beyond the typical horror score, focusing on capturing the tale's melancholy and tragic elements while weaving in a sense of warped romanticism. Ace Records ist seit der Veröffentlichung diverser Vinyl-Compilations in den 1980er Jahren die erste Adresse für Sampler von US-Girlgroups aus den 1960er Jahren. Nach vielen CD-Serien ist die LP jedoch wieder als bevorzugtes Format für anspruchsvolle Sammler beliebt.
'A Good Thing Goin'!', die neueste in der aktuellen Ace-Serie wunderschön verpackter 12-Zöller, erscheint diesen Monat. Wie in der Serie üblich, enthält die schicke Innenhülle ein 3.000 Wörter langes, mit Bildern vollgepacktes Song By Song-Essay des langjährigen Compilers Mick Patrick.

In The Heart of the Young (auch bekannt als Winger II) ist das zweite Studioalbum der Rockband Winger.
Es wurde 1990 veröffentlicht und war ein kommerzieller Erfolg. Das Album wurde mit Platin ausgezeichnet
und enthält die Hits „Easy Come Easy Go“, „Can’t Get Enuff“ und „Miles Away“, letzterer erreichte die

Melanie Thornton wurde 1967 in South Carolina, in den USA geboren und interessierte sich schon früh
für Musik. Ihren Vorbildern, wie Aretha Franklin oder Roberta Flack nacheifernd, nimmt sie schon mit 11
Jahren Gesangsunterricht. Ihre größten Erfolge feiert sie gemeinsam mit D. Lane McCray Jr. als weltweit
erfolgreiches Dancefloor-Duo La Bouche.
Im Jahr 2000 startet sie dann ihre Solo-Karriere mit ihrem ersten Hit „Love How You Love Me“. Nur
kurze Zeit später folgt der heutige X-Mas-Klassiker „Wonderful Dream (Holidays Are Coming)“ im Zuge
einer massiven Weihnachtskampagne für Coca-Cola.
Ein Jahr später, 2001, verstarb Melanie Thornton dann bei einem tragischen Flugzeugunglück in der
Schweiz mit gerade einmal 34 Jahren.

Nach ihrem Karrierehighlight "Long Gradus" 2023, der aus der seltenen Gelegenheit entstand, monatelang mit einem Streichquartett zusammenzuarbeiten, bringt Sarah Davachi auf ihrer zehnten Late Music-LP ihre elektroakustischen Studio- und Live-Kammerpraktiken zu einer atemberaubenden Verbindung zusammen: "The Head As Form’d In The Crier’s Choir" basiert auf zwei Werken des altgriechischen Orpheus-Mythos - Rilkes Gedichtsammlung "Sonette An Orpheus" (1922) und Monteverdis frühe Barockoper "l'Orfeo" (1607), bildet mit den Vorgängern "Two Sisters" (2022) und "Antiphonals" (2021) eine 'lose Trilogie' und stellt Davachis bisher ganzheitlichsten Ansatz an Komposition und Aufführung dar.
