Limitierte Picture-Disc-Neuauflage zum 50. Jubiläum des dritten NEU! Albums, das 1975 das Licht der Welt erblickte. Nach einer dreijährigen Pause legten die NEU!-Mitglieder Klaus Dinger und Michael Rother ihre Differenzen vorübergehend bei und kamen wieder zusammen, um den Motorik-Sound, den sie mit ihrem Debüt 1971 entwickelt hatten, noch einmal zu versuchen. Die seltsame Spannung und Präsentation von NEU! 2 und das Auftauchen ihrer früheren Band Kraftwerk mögen die Wiedervereinigung beschleunigt haben, aber was auch immer der Grund war, das Endergebnis war die Zeit, die Mühe und die Streitereien wert, die es gekostet hatte, dieses Album herauszubringen.

Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Jubiläums freut sich Ace Records, eine limitierte 3-LP-Compilation anzubieten, die dort beginnt, wo alles begann – bei Chiswick Records. Im November 1975 verwirklichte Ted Carroll endlich seinen Traum von einem eigenen Independent-Label, als Chiswick seine erste Single veröffentlichte – die EP 'Speedball' von The Count Bishops. Mit Roger Armstrong und Trevor Churchill an seiner Seite war Chiswick zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort. Bald darauf veröffentlichten sie Singles, die sich in den Bereichen Pub Rock, Punk, Metal, Pop und Rockabilly etablierten, darunter 101’ers, Motörhead, The Gorillas, The Radio Stars, The Radiators, The Stukas und viele mehr. Auch gabe es Artists die später groß werden sollten:. Joe Strummer war der Frontmann der 101’ers. Johnny & the Self Abusers verwandelten sich später in Simple Minds, während Riff Raff einen jungen Billy Bragg in ihren Reihen hatte. Der Solokünstler Jakko wurde zu einer tragenden Säule einer späteren Inkarnation von King Crimson. Über sieben Jahre hinweg verkauften sich die Singles von Chiswick nicht nur gut, sondern das Label schaffte es sogar, mit so unterschiedlichen Künstlern wie den Radio Stars, Sniff ‘n’ the Tears, Rocky Sharpe & The Replays und den Damned Chart-Singles zu landen.Das von Roger Armstrong persönlich zusammengestellte 3-LP-Set vereint einige der besten 45-rpm-Veröffentlichungen von Chiswick aus den Jahren 1975 bis 1982. Von bekannten bis hin zu weniger bekannten Klassikern. Roger Armstrong und Ted Carroll haben auch die informativen Begleittexte verfasst, mit Geschichten aus der spannenden Historie von Chiswick Records. Ja, natürlich auch jene um das Motörhead-Debüt. Dieses achte Studioalbum ist das Ergebnis ihrer engen Zusammenarbeit mit Étienne Daho und Jean-Louis

Ce 8ème album studio est le fruit de son étroite collaboration avec Étienne Daho et Jean-Louis Piérot. Il

Spidergawd sind klassischer Heavy Rock mit gigantischem Melodieverständnis, das teils poppige Züge annimmt. Twin-Gitarren zelebrieren dieses Melodieverständnis exzessiv, duellieren sich und feuern es an und alles steht auf einem solide klassischen NWOBHM Fundament. Für ihr achtes Album in elf Jahren Band-Geschichte haben SPIDERGAWD einen überraschenden Titel gewählt: "From Eight to Infinity" oder "From 8 to _êP". Damit beendet die Band die Verwendung römischer Titel, die sie für ihre vorherigen sieben Alben verwendet hatte. Ansonsten scheint vieles vertraut, wenn sie mit ihrem unverkennbaren SPIDERGAWD-Sound, doppelten Gitarren, dreifachen Gesang und Bariton Saxophon in gewohnt aufwändigem Album Artwork stets wiedererkennbar bleiben. Natürlich bleiben die wichtigsten Referenzen wie Thin Lizzy und Motorhead offensichtlich. Aber während "VII" sich ein wenig an 80er-Jahre-Bands wie Rush, Adrian Smith und Boston anlehnen konnte, ist "From Eight to Infinity" in seinen Referenzen eher bei AC/DC und Cheap Trick auf der einen Seite und Metallica und Black Sabbath auf der anderen. Es gibt scheinbar immer noch keine Anzeichen dafür, dass Spidergawd einen Gang zurückschalten und die Band verspricht nicht nur im Titel eine große Zukunft. All das scheint vielversprechend für die anstehende Tour. Man konnte dies aber auch schon deutlich spüren bei den Support Shows für Judas Priest, ein Band-Traum, der in Erfüllung ging.

Title track ‘Back on Track’ is an ever-building acid-journey guaranteed to rock in the clubs. ‘Breaksit’ gives us a chance to breathe as we embark on a trip that melds the signature Kosh and Craigie Knowes sounds into a pure and emotive composition. ‘Ridge Racer’ returns us to our feet with bounce, rhythm and octave changes to elevate your next DJ-set. ‘Digital Dilemma’ takes us from North Africa across the Atlantic to the Motor City and reminds us of everything we love about club-focussed, Detroit inspired, techno. There's no denying that 3 Chairs sole self-titled album, first released in 2004 and now reissued in a fresh 2025 edition, is a high watermark in Detroit electronic music culture: a decidedly dusty and ultra-deep collective endeavour from Motor City heavyweights Kenny Dixon Jr (AKA Moodymann), Malik Pittman, Rick Wilhite and Theo Parrish that somehow managed to sound even better than their respective solo productions. Highlights include the chugging, Rhodes-laden beatdown sweetness of '3 Chairs Theme' (featuring Norma Jean Bell), the ultra-deep and gently jazzy dustiness of 17-minute epic 'Blackbone Waltz', the organic deep house excellence of 'Dance of Nubia' (which sounds like it could have featured on the St Germain album Boulevard) and the sample-rich, slow-motion shuffle of 'Underwater People'.

Before he became better known as Porn Sword Tobacco (PST), Swedish producer Henrik Jonsson released two albums under the name of Stress Assassin. Like his later oeuvre, the tunes are spacious, cinematic and multi-layered, influenced by the likes of Harold Budd and Tangerine Dream, but for this project there is additional guidance from Lee Perry and Moritz von Oswald.

Released on vinyl for the first time, Within the Office of Eye and Ear’s smoked-out ambience and blissful beats are permeated with melodic bass and cinematic space. Found sounds, floating voices and intermittent pops ripple amongst the sweet harmonies, lush atmospheres and pulsating basslines, creating a captivating other-worldly dreamspace.

As Henrik explains: “Made often at night in an attic in Gothenburg, it’s music I did in a world far away from today: the music was, and is, about not running along with a stress-y society soaked in TV, media and materialism, out of touch with the calm beauty this world gives us”

He certainly succeeded as Within the Office of Eye and Ear offers the ultimate stress assassination.

Originally from Rio de Janeiro, where she is a well-established DJ and a prominent figure in the lifestyle scene, Martha also resides in Berlin, where she became friends with the Toy Tonics crew.

She is the creator of Assembleia, a celebrated party in Rio de Janeiro known for its laid-back and unpretentious atmosphere. Assembleia has also become a Carnival sensation, hosting unforgettable annual editions that are now a highlight of the season. In Brazil, she is also known as the co-founder of the Croma project, where fashion and music merged to revolutionize Rio de Janeiro's alternative scene. Martha Pinel's debut EP, Real Rio, was born during a moment of rediscovery in her hometown, Rio de Janeiro, after spending a long time abroad. In the track "Uber Moto," Martha reflects on the urban phenomenon of app-based motorcycles, which have become a symbol of the city.

Finally, "Assim" offers a personal reinterpretation of Marcos Valle's classic Estrelar.
