As the music begins, “Reichenstein” rises on the horizon like a majestic mountain peak, growing ever more imposing as you draw closer. Upon arrival, the towering presence of the castle welcomes you with its raw power. The beat pulses like a force of nature, its multi-layered rhythms and vibrant sounds pulling every dance enthusiast into its depths, much like an adventurer scaling the heights of the mountain itself.
The journey continues through the mystic halls of the castle, leading to "Der Turm".
Here, hypnotic synths scale the tower's heights, while deep pulsating basses push against every wall.
From there, the mountain “Stenzelberg” comes into view, casting its groovy shadows ahead as the next stop on the adventure. Upon reaching the summit, you are immediately drawn into the mountain’s spell by the power of its percussive sounds.
But the journey doesn't end there - deep within the winding gorges, Mar io awaits, leading you through hidden corners and secret paths of the mountain with his powerful remix, finally releasing the soul of the mountain. Jack Cutter is a songwriter and guitarist based in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. He started with a $5 banjo just after finishing high school. In University, during the late 60's, he performed with bar bands in Buffalo, New York. After completing University and a year as an Aerospace Engineer, he decided that attack helicopters were not really what the world needed and so
he headed off to California in pursuit of music and mystic times.
Fast forward to Fall 2014: Jack is playing his quintessential tune, 'Gift of Our Fathers' in the SF BART subway to an onslaught of morning commuters when he was spotted by 40 Thieves. Eureka! Love at first sight and in the next few months, two of Jack's original acoustic pieces were given the 40 Thieves
treatment.Enter David Sanderson aka David Harks, a singer, songwriter, producer and label curator from the East Sussex region of the UK. 'Having fallen in love with the cosmic boogie (of 40 Thieves classic 'Backward Love') I really felt I would
love nothing more than to write a tune with them. Layne got back in touch with a track he was working on entitled Serpent Strut with Jack Cutter and we worked via email over a few months to brew up that misty soul.' Deep, stony, psychedelic, drawing from the well of Hawkwind, Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Baffo Banfi and Tolkien-tinged acoustic Led Zep, the proof of
concept is now complete and in the capable and loving hands of Claremont 56.

Emma-Jean Thackray, the visionary producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, releases her highly anticipated second album, “Weirdo” on April 25th via Gilles Peterson’s celebrated label, Brownswood Recordings / Parlophone Records. Known for defying musical boundaries, Thackray's latest work is a deeply personal and utterly original exploration of selfhood, grief, and gratitude.

Drawing on an eclectic mix of influences—grunge, pop, soul, p-funk, and jazz— “Weirdo” is a triumphant celebration of survival and individuality. Written, performed, recorded, mixed, produced and arranged entirely by Thackray in her South London flat, the album stands as a testament to her extraordinary musicianship and fearless self-expression.

Lost Desert is back on All Day I Dream with his stunning new Saudade EP. The four-track EP features an appearance from Arsenal as well as a remix of ‘When Sun Rises’ by Volen Sentir. Saudade is rich and sweeping, encompassing the deep, atmospheric essence of Lost Desert’s organic house signature. Ambient melodies and breezy textures unfold over the EP’s serene 30 minutes as Lost Desert transcends the boundaries of melodic and progressive house. We are delighted to present the new 12" maxi on Dubatriation records, two extended tracks for complete immersion! This opus defines the encounter of Panda Dub and Adi Shankara, two artists already signed to the label.

Like buried treasures, these tracks from a joint studio session have been unearthed and reworked for this release.

Infused with the orientalist flavours of French dub, these two tracks elevate the genre with their neat sound design. Panda Dub's ethnic samples and catchy melodies blend with Adi Shankara's rough and hypnotic textures.

Opening DNO Records’ 2025, Clearlight returns to the label alongside new signee Sentient, bringing four creepy cuts of insectoid minimalism that reanimate the drum & bass exoskeleton.

On the A-side, ‘Mandibles’ aims to stun. Hurtling forth with hulking drums, this tunnelling rhythm is beset by swarms of glitchy percussion and synth zaps that’ll frazzle minds with their sheer chaotic energy.
‘Suboptimal’ reveals what’s lurking in the deep, as heavyweight bass and incessant kicks burrow through a murky soundscape of croaks and rattles, only to be sprayed by a chirping acid line that cuts through the mix with deadly precision.

Flip over and the Belgian-British pairing delivers two extended jams. The seven-minute ‘Psychodrifter’ is packed with an overdriven low-end that crackles and heaves like it's trying to talk with a mouthful of bees, while globular whoops and twinkling pads squirm and beckon like bioluminescent lures.
‘Kukulu’ is longer still, building and building and building in intensity. Waves of warning bells and skittering background noise, bongo flourishes and spurts of grinding bass come together with hive-mind-like cooperation to form an enrapturing epic.

Another example of visionary world-building from the DNO camp, the ‘Mandibles’ EP will wriggle down your earhole and have you itching for a dark basement full of bass bins.

Japanese talent DJ Koco aka Shimokita is a hardcore 45rpm devotee. They are his chosen tools as a beat-juggling DJ who can do logic-defying things with his grooves. He is a regal on Bloom and already dropped serious heat in January with 'World Famous'. This time he is back with a fresh take on 'Made In New York' which is a 1985 classic by renowned Brazilian funk and jazz pianist Tania Maria. He brings his signature hip-hop flair and creativity with his trusted crew, 45trio, and enlists the dynamic saxophonist King TJ (DA-Dee-MiX) to elevate things further.

Following Sydenham, Njai and Punchard’s fresh take on Kraftwerk’s classic earlier this year, which picked up support from the likes of Optimo, India Jordan, DJ Bone, and more, Radio Slave recruits a pair of all-star remixers in Ricardo Villalobos and Gerd Janson to deliver a scintillating set of interpretations for his Rekids imprint.

Running Back’s Gerd Janson injects slap bass, funk-laden guitars, and twinkling synths over the original’s vocals for the ‘Dance’ mix, followed by a stripped-back instrumental version to kick off the A side. On the flip, Villalobos delivers a typically trippy affair, bringing constantly evolving strokes of modular mayhem and zapping percussion for over ten minutes, nervously settling into a chugging and deeply satisfying halftime groove.

Scheurneus EP is Vunks latest 12 inch vinyl release on his own legendary imprint Moustache Records. This release is a tribute to the underground scene, no hipster house only pure electro techno acid EBM sounds. This release is part of his 30 year anniversary as a DJ. Produced in his atomic basement Baan Studios downtown Rotterdam. Rafael Marín, best known as Rapha Mundi, is back on Buenobueno Discos with a solid 6 track EP titled Bonanza. The super prolific, hard working hero from the small town of Murchante, in Spain, keeps pushing boundaries on his personal journey through music.

"Fimbulvinter" by Bjorn Riis: A Journey Through Darkness and Light... Named after the legendary long winter that heralds Ragnarok, a time of both destruction and rebirth. Bjorn Riis' new album Fimbulvinter is a profound and deeply personal work. Drawing from his own experiences with anxiety, Bjorn explores themes of hopelessness, paranoia, and despair, ultimately finding a spark of hope and gratitude in the darkness. "This isn't an autobiographical album," Bjorn explains, "but I wanted to share parts of my own journey and address a subject that I feel is both deeply important and still somewhat taboo." Musically, Fimbulvinter reflects Bjorn's diverse influences, blending the atmospheric and introspective tones of progressive rock with the energy and swagger of the hard rock bands he grew up with in the early '80s. Fans of Kiss, Black Sabbath, and classic progressive acts will find much to love in the album's rich soundscapes. From the driving, anthemic energy of "Gone" - a track made for blasting on the open road - to moments of introspection and monumental heaviness, Fimbulvinter is a dynamic journey through darkness and light.
