Zum 25-jährigen Jubiläum der Veröffentlichung von MONOs Debütalbum "Under The Pipal Tree" bringt die Band eine einzigartige limitierte Auflage auf farbigem Vinyl in der Farbe "Iridescent Forest Night" heraus, um diesen besonderen Anlass zu feiern. "Under The Pipal Tree" ist das Debütalbum der mittlerweile legendären japanischen Experimental-Rockbands MONO. Veröffentlicht im Jahr 2001 auf dem Avantgarde-Label Tzadik von John Zorn, präsentierte "Under The Pipal Tree" ein junges japanisches Quartett, dessen vielfältige Einflüsse - vor allem Sonic Youth, Mogwai, The Velvet Underground und Neil Youngs Crazy Horse - sich in einem wilden und ambitionierten Werk zeigten. Obwohl MONO später vor allem für ihre geschickte Verbindung von Metal und klassischen Genres bekannt wurden, zeigt ,Under The Pipal Tree" die psychedelischen Wurzeln der Band. Lange Passagen mit hypnotischen, melodischen Klängen gehen über in rasante Gitarren-Freakouts, die in eindringlicher Stille versinken. Das Album ist nicht nur wegen seiner ernsthaften Suche bemerkenswert, sondern auch wegen seiner überraschenden Umsetzung. 25 Jahre und ein Dutzend Alben später gilt ,Under The Pipal Tree" als eines der besten Debütalben einer wegweisenden Underground-Band.

Schon mit 8 Jahren entdeckte Andreas Neuderth, der seit Mitte der Achtziger nur noch den Spitzname NEUDI benutzt, sein Talent für das Schlagzeug. Sogar bereits schon etwas früher wurde er zum Fan harter
Rockklänge, die üblichen Verdächtigen wie Kiss, Status Quo und Rush. Mit 15 Jahren, im Jahr 1986, taucht sein Drumming erstmals auf einem Tape der Band SUDDEN DARKNESS auf, was 2026 zu einem Jubiläumsjahr für
den heute in Rheinhessen lebenden Musiker darstellt. Seine bekanntesten Stationen sind neben MANILLA ROAD (2011 bis zum Tod von Mark Shelton im Jahr 2018) und SAVAGE GRACE (2009/2010) aktuell TRANCE,
ROXXCALIBUR, ANGEL OF DAMNATION, IRONSWORD, JAMESON RAID und die Manilla Road-Nachfolgeband SENTRY. Das 1994er ECONOMIST Album „New Built Ghetto Status“ bezeichnet Neudi trotz all diesen genannten Namen als „eines der drei besten Alben, auf denen ich zu hören bin“. In der Tat darf man getrost sagen, dass es den Stil von ECONOMIST wohl nur einmal gibt. 1995 wurde die CD von Massacre/Intercord lizensiert, doch
mit dem progressiven Stil war man seiner Zeit einfach zu weit voraus.

Als Reissue, erstmals als Doppel LP mit dem unveröffentlichten zweiten Album „Mind Movies“ erschienen, erntete man nun endlich die verdient euphorischen Kritiken. VIRON (2004/2006 und 2008) war nach einer Zeit
der Experimente Neudis Rückkehr zum traditionellen Metal, den er als Fan auch zuvor nie verlassen hat. Die zwei hochgelobten Alben waren indirekt der Vorgänger der erfolgreicheren Band ROXXCALIBUR. SCROLLKEEPER
ist eine Band aus Texas, die für ihre EP „Wetico“ als Manilla Road-Fans mit Neudi zusammenarbeiten wollten. Neudi ist bekannt für sein „busy drumming“. Beeinflusst von Neil Peart (Rush), Randy Foxe (Manilla Road) oder Ian Paice (Deep Purple) bietet er nicht nur die genreübliche Rhythmusarbeit „im Hintergrund“, sondern bringt das Instrument teils auffällig in den Vordergrund. Luciano Cilio was born in Naples, Italy, in 1950. He studied music and architecture and, in the late '60s, collaborated with local artist Alan Sorrenti, American expat Shawn Phillips and various avant-garde theater groups. A virtuoso guitarist and self-taught composer, Cilio released only one LP before his untimely death at the age of 33.

Dialoghi Del Presente (1977) is a work like no other, one that sounds both ancient and ahead of its time. Produced by Renato Marengo, it features a series of muted tableaux for strings, woodwinds, guitar, chorus, piano and percussion. Cilio carves out a space where subtle, repetitive phrases yield – almost imperceptibly – to breathtaking silence.

As Jim O'Rourke writes, "These recordings sound as if they were to please no one but himself; they feel self-contained, introspective, and determined ... You can feel in the music a sort of necessity that can be rarely found, like in This Heat's debut or Nick Drake's Pink Moon."

While each subsequent "quadro" grows slightly more abstract, Cilio draws the listener into an expansive, pastoral soundscape. The closing piece, "Interludio," begins with a plaintive guitar, which is joined by haunting strings and woodwinds before concluding, poignantly, as the album began, with Cilio and his guitar, alone once more.

Superior Viaduct's edition reproduces the original sleeve design. Recommended for fans of Johann Johannsson, Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden, Arvo Part and Popol Vuh.

There's one thing that everyone readily agrees on: Live concerts are the icing on the cake for musicians and fans alike. Every show is a very special experience and sometimes even creates an almost magical performance. Such moments are beyond explanation, you just have to be there to believe it or, in a best-case scenario, have them recorded for posterity – as American metal act Prong have done with their latest live album. Which is exactly what guitarist/vocalist Tommy Victor and bandmates Christopher Dean (bass) and Tyler Joseph (drums) have achieved on ‘Live And Uncleansed’: Recorded over seven nights in July and August 2025, they are now ready to present eleven powerful live songs (plus three live bonus tracks), all pure and unadulterated, authentic and honest, which is the reason why the result is so incredibly captivating.

The first time Kaleidobolt’s faces have adorned an LP, they have been fused into a torpedoing biomechanical vehicle. Echoing The Birthday Party’s Junkyard or Motörhead’s Orgasmatron (…on acid?!), the illustration epitomises perfectly Kaleidobolt’s agenda of “hyperkinetic rock”. Their feverish, psych-prog sound is full of motion. It jerks around at different speeds, threatening to spin out of control and crash into flames at any given moment. What’s more, it isn’t taken too seriously. This is heavy and intricate music, yes. But as bassist and co-singer Marco Menestrina puts it, the Kaleidobolt attitude is “an ugly smirk more than an angry face with a fist.” On their fifth album since forming in 2014, the Helsinki-based outfit lean into their strengths as a formidable power trio. With their previous two records, 2019’s Bitter and 2022’s This One Simple Trick, they had thrown everything at their disposal into the recording with no expense spared on overdubs, effects and kitchen sinks. Produced again by Niko Lehdontie (Oranssi Pazuzu), Karakuchi comes from tightly rehearsed, live-in-the-studio takes. Kaleidobolt realise that greater sparsity can be a strength, and they’ve allowed their instruments extra space to breathe. It makes for their earthiest, purest and perhaps most authentic record to date. Karakuchi’s exuberant style emerges from the individual members’ contrasting listening habits. These span classic prog, Japanese city pop, noise rock, post-hardcore and historical podcasts. One record they can all agree is a masterpiece, the centre of the Venn diagram where all three members meet, is King Crimson’s Red. As for their new album’s title, that’s as suitable as the cover art. “Karakuchi” is the slogan of the Japanese beer brand Asahi Super Dry. Translated literally, this means “pungent to the mouth”. As drinkers of that product, Kaleidobolt acknowledge its parallels to their songs. “It’s very intense, right at the front, like at the first bite,” explains Menestrina. “And then it leaves your mouth feeling refreshed. The flavour doesn’t linger in your mouth, basically. It has a quick, hard finish. With a bit of a stretch, we thought that that could also be said of our music.” Karakuchi is Kaleidobolt at their hardest, fastest, tightest and super-driest. On her new album, Land of the Forgotten, Brit Taylor takes us to her much discussed and misunderstood homeland, Appalachia, with songs that reveal the complex heart and complicated people of the place. Taylor is an accomplished singer-songwriter who has been performing professionally since she was a child. She has always taken the bull by the horns; Taylor has spent seven nights a week singing on Broadway, cold-called record execs, and she even formed a cleaning business to help finance her first album, Real Me, on which Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys) co-wrote five of the songs. Only three years later she found herself being produced by two of the most sought-after producers in Nashville: Grammy winners Sturgill Simpson and David Ferguson. "Wo nimmt der Roedelius nur die vielen schönen Töne her?", fragt Asmus Tietchens in den Linernotes zu dieser Reissue. Eine berechtigte Frage. Hans-Joachim Roedelius, Pionier der Ambientmusik, des Krautrock, des Synthiepops, Mitglied in solch wegweisenden Bands wie Cluster und Harmonia, schwelgt auf seiner siebten Soloplatte aus dem Jahr 1981 in fremden Welten. Dies ist "Musik zum Leisehören", schreibt Roedelius auf der Plattenhülle. Und tatsächlich: Sie leise abzuspielen verstärkt den Eindruck des Außerweltlichen. Dabei ist hier nichts, was auch nur annähernd spacig oder psychedelisch wäre. Die einzelnen Stücke sind kurz, sie kommen und gehen, wie an einer Perlenschnur aufgereiht. Die Musik klingt immer ein wenig wie in Watte gepackt. Roedelius erlaubt sich beim Spielen auf seiner Elektroorgel kleine Ungenauigkeiten, lässt elektrische Störgeräusche zu. Das unterscheidet die Musik ganz grundsätzlich von der präzisen und perfekten Minimal Music. Roedelius" Musik lebt von der Improvisation, ihre Ehrlichkeit treibt einem fast die Tränen in die Augen.

Mit seinem Debütalbum "Mesdames, Messieurs !" sorgt Sam Sauvage für einen elektrisierenden Neustart der französischen Popmusik. Seine 13 Songs sind gleichermaßen ungestüm, poetisch und kompromisslos ehrlich - ein Sound, der zwischen Synth-Poesie, Rock-Theatralik und intensiver Erzählkraft oszilliert. In Stücken wie "Avis de tempête" oder "La fin du monde" entfacht Sam eine dramatische Energie, die den Nerv unserer Zeit trifft: der Tanz am Rand des Chaos, gepaart mit einer eindringlichen Botschaft, den Moment festzuhalten. One Believer, the Elektra debut by the late bluesman John Campbell, was outside of virtually every trend on major labels and in pop at the time. Other than Chris Whitley's Living with the Law, it was the only roots record issued on a major label in 1991.

A deeply atmospheric record full of subtle shimmering organs and warm guitar textures that accent the dreamy spooky side of the blues more than the crunchy stomp and roll that Campbell was known for in the clubs and displayed on his follow-up Howlin' Mercy. Tracks like "Angel of Sorrow," "World of Trouble," and "Wild Streak" offer shimmering ambient textures from which the blues emanate from the ether. Campbell was living and working in New York and his music was certainly influenced by that late-night environment. These are beautiful songs, tempered in shadow and restraint while baring their teeth at all the right moments. On "Couldn't Do Nothin'," "Devil In My Closet," and "Person to Person the roadhouse magic comes out. The album's last two tracks "Take Me Down" and the title track are menacing in their conviction and creepy swampy in execution.

Altan is arguably the most iconic band working in traditional Irish music today. For the past 35 years, they have brought the music of their native County Donegal to the world stage. The band's newest album, aptly titled Donegal , pays homage to County Donegal's rich musical heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and vibrant culture. The music's authenticity and allure transport listeners to a bygone era in rural Ireland while forging a connection between the past and the present.

Featuring co- founder, lead vocalist, and fiddler Mairead Ni Mhaonaigh ; newest member Clare Friel on vocals and fiddle; accordionist Martin Tourish; guitarists Daithi Sproule and Mark Kelly; and Ciaran Curran on bouzouki and mandolin. Dutch symphonic metal band Delain released their third studio album We Are the Others in 2012 to positive reviews from music critics. The album title was inspired by the murder of 20-year-old Sophie Lancaster, whose death was likely a hate crime due to her being part of the goth subculture.

Two singles were released: “Get The Devil Out of Me” and the title track "We Are The Others", for which the band shot a music video that included many well-known people from the metal scene, including George Oosthoek, Sharon den Adel, Robert Westerholt and Rob van der Loo. The album features guest contributions by the likes of Burton C. Bell (ex-Fear Factory) and Marko Hietala (ex-Nightwish) and was produced by Jacob Hellner (aka Tripod), who is best known for producing most of Rammstein’s albums.

This release of We Are the Others contains an insert and is limited to only 750 individually numbered copies on orange & black marble vinyl.

I don't wanna die (Pt. 1 & 2) is John Wells raw portrait of two years caught between a stalled music deal, broken trust, and the fight to stay alive. Set against fog and grit in Baltimore, the EP blends soul-baring lyricism with shifting, dreamlike production — confronting self-doubt, past mistakes, and the stubborn will to survive.

The new EP is released on limited edition 'Scissorhands Ice Blue' coloured vinyl with a hand-numbered gold riso print sleeve art with obi strip. Sarah/Shaun wooed hearts and wowed critics with debut EP It's True What They Say? in 2024 plus follow-up EP Someone's Ghost in 2025.

They have been featured across the media including BBC Radio 6Music, BBC Radio Scotland, The List and The Skinny. They've played gigs supporting French legends Air, Glaswegian 80s pop legends The Bluebells, Glasgow's huge Glasvegas, a slew of venues across Glasgow and Edinburgh, not to mention the festivals: Kelburn Garden Party, Fringe By The Sea, Kendall Calling, Dunbar Music Festival and Hidden Door Festival. The duo are set to release a full length album in late 2026.
