Sie wollten eigentlich nur einen Track zusammen aufnehmen, für die gemeinsame Japan Tournee im letzten Frühling. Auf der Tour sollten Springintgut und F.S. Blumm ihre aktuellen Solo-Alben*) in neun japanischen Städten präsentieren, ein gemeinsamer Track als Zugabe konnte dabei nicht schaden. Das Duo entpuppte sich als Selbstläufer: Aus einem Track wurden im Handumdrehen siebzehn! Wenn man bedenkt, dass beide Künstler für ihre jeweiligen Solo-Alben sechs Jahre gebraucht haben, ist es umso erstaunlicher, dass sie - The Bird And White Noise' innerhalb von zwei Monaten eingespielt haben.

Unxpozd presents the 4th project from Dj Aakmael, 'Aak of Noise EP', giving you a straight up dance floor heater from the start! Up first is 'Just a Track pt 4' for the vocal heads, featuring classic vocal snippets that are sure to heat up any room large or small. 'Lush' is on the more chill side of the groove, giving listeners that warm, deep fuzzy feeling with a hard kick and smooth bass that matches the flow with ease. On the flip, 'Untitled 81' is an old-school style, Aakmael gives us a nostalgic sounding piece of art that also has nice dance floor potential. Closing the project is 'Soul of a Woman', that originally was a vocal track, however, now screwed and chopped as Aakmael decides to share this gem with the world. All tracks once again offers something for the hardcore listener/collector, and of course the DJ's that have a love for classic deep house and vinyl!

Nicht einmal der kühnste Optimist hätte Gossip vor drei Jahren einen solchen Karriereverlauf zugetraut: Im Sommer 2009 startete die Band einen beispiellosen Triumphzug. Bei Award- und TV-Shows wie "Bambi", "Echo", "Schlag den Raab!" + "Wetten Dass..?" stahlen sie allen Anwesenden die Show. Beth Ditto und Co. vollzogen innerhalb kürzester Zeit den Sprung von gefeierten Indie-Darlings zu Multiplatin-Superstars. Im Mai 2012 ist es nun endlich soweit: mit "A Joyful Noise" erscheint fast 3 Jahre nach "Music For Men" das mit Hochspannung erwartete Follow-Up-Album. Produziert wurde es von Pop-Genie Brian Higgins, der in der Vergangenheit u.a. mit Kylie Minogue u.v.m. gearbeitet hat. Schon die 1. Single "Perfect World" überzeugt als fantastische Uptempo-Pop-Hymne mit allem Drum + Dran!

"PositiveNoise" is collaboration between System 7 and British house music legend A Guy Called Gerald who now lives in Berlin, and is one of two tracks on the new System 7 "UP" album that they worked on together. The original club mix's exuberant sounds and crisp beats exude an infectious feel-good quality and a bright tech confidence inspired by Berlin's leaner sounds - already gaining plaudits and plays for its modern club sound. *The Carl Craig remix strips down the original, and twists and turns for the dancefloor with dubby deep techno in Carl's own legendary style. Off the back of storming the UK charts once again with latest single 'White Noise feat AlunaGeorge' - DISCLOSURE are extremely excited to announce the title, artwork and release date for their eagerly awaited details of their debut album.
'SETTLE' - the brothers' first full-length recording - will be released on June 3 via PMR records (home to Jessie Ware and Julio Bashmore among others).
Leading the charge into the album is the single 'You & Me' featuring Eliza Doolittle, and as you'd expect, Disclosure continuously prove their ability in bringing the best out of their vocal collaborators, with Eliza's lustrous vocal immersed among Disclosure's trademark 2-step garage rhythms, once again showing beyond doubt their capacity in delivering yet another anthem alongside previous singles Latch and White Noise.

Having steadily built a name for themselves as purveyors of a standard of music production way beyond their tender years, they've spent a solid couple of years honing their already prolific output into what's sure to be one of the debuts of 2013 - in any genre.

Trentemøller is the Dane who did. He's been making electronic music of one kind of bent or another for over 15 years, first making his name as part of Trigbag, a live house act that toured extensively. But it's his solo material that has impacted on the dance community - and beyond. 'La Champagne' was a game-changer and his remixes of artists like Sharon Phillips secured his place as an artist with some serious chops. But that's not all he is. You can hear that yearning in his productions and it's evident here, a sort of Protestant northern European melancholy. He is aided on his journey towards the Baltic by some heavy hitters, of course: Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, This Mortal Coil. But that's not the story, it's not where the plot comes from, it's not where we're going. It's just a little indicator to reassure you we know the way. No. For it's in the dark beauty of Low's tremulous 'Amazing Grace' or even the way that the Shangri-Las' '(Remember) Walkin' In The Sand', surrounded by the similarly inclined, takes on a funereal gait. As we navigate the flatlands of your mind, we're helped along by a generous sprinkling of Anders' fellow Danes, like Darkness Falls (the atmosphere of this mix aptly encapsulated right there), Ekko, Chimes & Bells and the Late Night Tales tradition, Trentemøller's cover of Chris Isaacs' 'Blue Hotel', sung by Marie Fisker and Steen Jørgensen.

Originally released in 2010 this mix has gone on to become a classic, it was never released on vinyl at the time, so due to public demand we have carefully mastered each track and carefully cut at half speed for optimum sonic reproduction.

'Deli Daydreams' is a conceptual LP based around a week in the life of a Deli worker. Varying styles from the spoken word tour de force introduction of 'White Noise' to the melancholic vibes of 'Eviction Notice'.

Well, we're two full months into 2017 and the world continues to burn like an avalanche of flaming biohazard material sliding down a mountain of used needles into a canyon full of rat feces. But hey, it's not all bad: Portugal. The Man has a new album coming out called Woodstock.


PTM's last album came out over three years ago—a long gap for a band who've dropped roughly an album a year since 2006. And in true, prolific band fashion, they've spent almost every minute since 2013 working on an album called Gloomin + Doomin. They created a shit-ton of individual songs, but as a whole, none of them hung together in a way that felt right. Then John Gourley, PTM's lead singer, made a trip home to Wasilla, Alaska, (Home of Portugal. The Man's biggest fan, Sarah Palin) and two things happened that completely changed the album's trajectory.

First, John got some parental tough love from his old man, who called John on the proverbial carpet or dogsled or whatever you put people on when you want to yell at them in Alaska. What's taking so long to finish the album' John's dad said. Isn't that what bands do Write songs and then put them out' Like fathers and unlicensed therapists tend to do, John's dad cut him deep. The whole thing started John thinking about why the band seemed to be stuck on a musical elliptical machine from hell and, more importantly, about how to get off of it.

Second, fate stuck its wiener in John's ear again when he found his dad's ticket stub from the original 1969 Woodstock music festival. It seems like a small thing, but talking to his dad about Woodstock '69 knocked something loose in John's head. He realized that, in the same tradition of bands from that era, Portugal. The Man needed to speak out about the world crumbling around them. With these two ideas converging, the band made a seemingly bat-shit-crazy decision: they took all of the work they had done for the three years prior and they threw it out.

It wasn't easy and there was the constant threat that the band's record label might have them killed, but the totally insane decision paid off. With new, full-on, musical boners, the band went back to the studio—working with John Hill (In The Mountain In The Cloud), Danger Mouse (Evil Friends), Mike D (Everything Cool), and longtime collaborator Casey Bates (The one consistent producer since the first record). In this new-found creative territory, the album that became Woodstock rolled out naturally from there.

Remember that mountain of burning needles we were talking about Good. Because Woodstock is an album (Including the new single Feel It Still') that—with optimism and heart—points at the giant pile and says, Hey, this pile is fucked up!' And if you think that pile is fucked up too, you owe it to yourself—hell, to all of us—to get out there and do something about it.

Sensing vibration of the fire below and turning it into a never-ending evolution of sound and groove. This is what you might know about Losoul tracks - and here you can't go wrong either. There are scattered artefacts of the city bringing vibe and inspiration - the streets, the people, the concrete, the action - it's all in between. Then there's the ever-changing beauty of nature out there on a day to just leave things as they are. Soul, movement and emotion. Again Losoul gives a strong example of experience from his longterm career in house and techno production and performing. Two pieces of music timeless in many ways. See you on the dancefloor.
