Coyu's remix for 'Natural Blues' was just the prelude for our big hommage to one of the biggest pop and electronic music artists of the 90's, Moby.

Megastar Bruno Mars has unveiled his new album 24K Magic (pronounced twenty-four karat magic), with lead single of the same title. Written and produced by Shampoo Press & Curl, with additional production by The Stereotypes.
The last time Mars dropped an album was December 2012 - four years ago, an eternity for a pop star. He's surfed the intervening years like a pro, with two Super Bowl halftime performances (headlining in 2014, and a cameo last February with Coldplay and Beyoncé), not to mention the biggest-selling song of the past few years, his collaboration with Mark Ronson, "Uptown Funk", spending 14 weeks at Number One - tying for the second-longest run in chart history - and winning the Grammy for Record of the Year. Ursprünglich 1999 veröffentlicht, wurde es zum erfolgreichsten Indie-Album des Jahres und in über 20 Ländern mit Platin ausgezeichnet. Mit "Play" änderte Moby seine Arbeitsweise ein weiteres Mal. Er nahm Samples aus Folk und Gospel - viele davon entstammen aus dem Archiv von Alan Lomax - und verbindet diese mit seinen elektronischen Klanglandschaften. Dabei schneidet er aus den Samples Schleifen, die er endlos wiederholt: Bessie Jones "Sometimes" wird in "Honey" über 20 Mal wiederholt und so entfaltet er den hypnotischen Sog, der diesen Song zum Hit machte. Bei Erscheinen wendeten sich viele Moby-Fans, die ein Techno-Album erwartet hatten, ab und das Album schaffte es nicht bedeutend in den Charts aufzutauchen. Es sollte überzehn Monate dauern, bis sich das Blatt wendete und das Album sich doch noch zum absoluten Hit mauserte. Mit 9 (!) Single-Auskopplungen und unzähligen Lizensierungen an TV-Shows, Filme und Werbespots entwickelte sich das Album zum Dauerbrenner und hat bis heute weit über 12 Millionen Einheiten abgesetzt.

Soundgarden feiern das 20-jährige Jubiläum ihres bahnbrechenden Albums Superunknown mit einer neuen LP-Ausgabe des Meilensteins, bestehend aus zwei 180-Gramm-Vinylen im aufklappbaren Cover, auf denen sich die 16 Tracks der ursprünglichen Doppel-LP befinden.

Superunknown gilt als Soundgardens Meisterwerk. Mit ihm definierte die Grunge-Band aus Seattle 1994 den Alternative-Rock neu und stellten Weichen in der Musikgeschichte.

Die Albumtracks 'Black Hole Sun' and 'Spoonman' gewannen 1995 zwei Grammy-Awards. Superunknown war ebenfalls in der Kategorie Best Rock Album nominiert. Es wurde in den USA mit fünffachem Platin-Status ausgezeichnet, hat weltweit um die neun Millionen Exemplare verkauft, und ist damit Soundgardens kommerziell erfolgreichstes Album. 2003 reihte das Rolling-Stone-Magazin es in seine Liste der 500 Greatest Albums of All Time ein und platzierte es unter den 100 Greatest Albums of the Nineties.
