The fifth release on L.I.T.S. (Lost In The Swirls) Records cracks open the Swirl People's archive of Raoul & Dimitri, delivering four cuts pulled from different moments in time and locked firmly on the dancefloor.
"Just A Dub Suckah" lands in its unreleased version, with the vocal pushed upfront for a rawer, more upfront hit than the 2004 Amenti release. "This Tiiime", a long-running underground favorite, finally drops officially. On the flip, "Izit Reel" makes its first-ever appearance - an unreleased weapon capturing the off-kilter swing and playful tension that define Swirl Peepz. Closing the record is "Cooper Went Down", first released in 2001 on French imprint FFWD.

This compilation is a joint release with Peruvian label Rey Record and includes an insert with never-before seen photos of the band, as well as liner notes by expert Víctor Zela (creator of the acclaimed project "La Cumbia de mis Viejos"). DESCRIPTION This compilation brings together for the first time the best songs by Los Zheros, one of the most renowned cumbia bands to emerge in the early 1970s in Iquitos-alongside groups like Los Rogers and Los Wemblers-in the heart of Peru's Amazon capital. Andy Riley and Laurence Ritchie are Drop Music accomplices; the label is a natural outgrowth of yesterday's Smokescreen Soundsystem, one of the oldest and best-respected UK crews to endorse (sound-) systems thinking. In case you don't know, remember this: they were early 90s stanchions of pressure-dropping UK house heft. This rare new reissue hears their hugely in-demand classic 'Party Criminals' return to fully swung, gatecrashing mode. And boy, weren't they just. Their fourth ever Drop drop, it first surfaced in 1999 and turned instant heads for its crystalline blue inners and jacking, organic sound, not to mention a cameo from fellow duo Freaked on the A2's 'Rhythm By Nature'. But our favourite has to be 'Make Me Feel' with its soft-attack hi-hats, not tapping, more fizzing like metal leaf against the ears.

DEVANDO is back again with a boogied-out banger 45, featuring pulsing beats, ascending bass synth lines and vocoders that will make even the most rhythm deficient folks bob along. "All Closed Eyes Ain"t Sleep" is a steady stream of danceable energy, while "Party With Me" is a falsetto-rich disco collaboration with the One, DeRobert Adams. Following the last blend of four timeless cuts compiled into TRIX002 (2023), Party Tricks returns with a new VA that maps the outer edges of UK breaks and garage on the A-side, and a US-tinged psychedelic journey on the B-side.

Stitched with fleeting lines from The Usual Suspects (“The greatest trick the devil ever pulled…”), A1 Trick or Treat - Trip To The Dark Side dives into the darker shades of the UKG spectrum, setting the opening tone with a mysterious heavy stepper.Continuing down this road, Sheethanger – Discostep flips the energy with a dubby, and irresistibly groovy breakbeat workout, complete with spicy vocoders and a kinetic drive engineered to lift every dancer off the floor.

On the B-side, the focus shifts toward the psychedelic zone of the US niche. A Terran Collective - Mercury Uno rolls out in low gear under acidic, foggy tension, gradually accelerating as it climbs toward a hazy, hypnotic eruption.Finally, Earth Trance Interlude - Moonshine delivers an after-hours breaks masterpiece - the right anthem to close the record on a bright and uplifting-melodic-tribal note.

It certainly lives up to its name, as a rallying call for people to hit the dancefloor, when it’s recently been aired on Test Press up and down the country !

The flipside “Follow Me…” takes you to a late 1970s Brasilian Block Party with a variation on a familiar bass line, cut up with brass stabs and old school rap vocals. It’s proving to be a great party starter with its head-nodding groove and funky chants.

Sahib's Jazz Party is an album by saxophonist/flautist Sahib Shihab, recorded live at the Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen, around the same time that he relocated there in 1963. Shihab is joined by flugelhornist Allan Botchinsky, guitarist Ole Molin, drummer Alex Riel, and 17-year old bass prodigy Niels Henning Orsted Pederson. The recordings showcase Sahib's diversity and dexterity as a player, including his openness to the avant-garde style, expanding on the bop era playing he is known for. The audio has been remastered by Dave Gardner and pressed on audiophile-grade vinyl at Pallas Group in Germany.

Avalanche Party is a garage-punk rock and roll band from the bleak yet beautiful North Yorkshire Moors After releasing their critically acclaimed debut album '24 Carat Diamond Trephine' in 2019 (BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1, Radio X, KEXP, NME Top 100, PRS Momentum Fund Award), the band toured heavily until they weren't allowed anymore in 2020. After picking up with they left off, hitting the road with mentors ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead, they found their way to the hallowed Rancho De La Luna studio in California's Joshua Tree in 2022 to record their follow up album, engineered and produced by Dave Catching (QOTSA, Iggy Pop, Arctic Monkeys). DJ Boora is a Russian hip-hop head with a sample-driven style shaped by Soviet-era sounds and here he brings his class to Scruniversal's latest 7". Classic bits of gear like the SP-1200 and MPC define his approach here as Boora blends dusty loops and analogue realness with tight boom-bap swing, all served up with effortless finesse. 'Dedicado Ao Rei' has a sunny disposition with some Latin heat infusing the rolling breaks, then 'Party Groove' is a playful one with James Brown ad-libs and big chord stabs.

World Party was a musical group, predominantly the solo project of its sole consistent member, the songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Karl Wallinger. Wallinger started the band in 1986 in London after leaving the Waterboys.

Featuring the #2 most downloaded/ streamed hit Is It Like Today?, small limited runs of each World Party album (5 total) will be pressed on white vinyl, with the run marketed as “The White Albums”, cheekily referring to Karl’s re-recording of The Beatles and his fans eternal quest to hear them.

Sydney punks Party Dozen (Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet) return with new single "Mad Rooter', taken from their upcoming AA-single 7" 'Mad Rooter / Ghost Rider' out Dec 5th via City Slang. The duo will be touring throughout the UK this November with shows in London, Brighton, Leeds, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow.



On the new track, the band said, "It doesn’t always happen, but sometimes it’s your night. You feel like the maddest rooter. Every step you take is a step closer to glory. No f*cks left to give, the charisma of Jon Hamm. 'Mad Rooter' is 10 feet tall and can walk through a wall. Stuck here with all you rookies eating fortune cookies."



They added, "We didn’t record it with a click, so it has this sort of off-grid pull and push that gives it swagger. There’s a sax solo that’s giving David Letterman opening sequence. We recorded the sample with Jon’s guitar, which is old and barely hanging on. The electronics are shot, it’s missing strings, and it’s been sort of half-modified then given up on."

Written in the Scottish Highlands, recorded on the West Coast in Largs and pressed on vinyl in East Lothian. Coach Party are poised to make their mark on 2025 and beyond with their new album ‘Caramel’, it is a melody packed, infectious record born from the shared experiences and unity of the bands four members: Jess Eastwood, Steph Norris, Guy Page and Joe Perry. Limitiertes "26 Highlighter Yellow" Vinyl. Hayley Williams ist eine dreifache GRAMMY-Gewinnerin, Sängerin, Songwriterin und Musikerin, die vor allem als Frontfrau der legendären Rockband Paramore bekannt ist. Nachdem Paramore mehr als 20 Jahre lang ihren Vertrag mit Atlantic Records erfüllt hatten - einen Vertrag, den Williams als Teenager unterzeichnet hatte -, gaben sie im Dezember 2023 bekannt, dass sie nun endlich eine unabhängige Band seien. Diese Überraschungssammlung wird von Hayley Williams auf ihrem neuen Label Post Atlantic selbst veröffentlicht und zeigt sie in ihrer ganzen Bandbreite. Williams hat eine Reihe von verschiedenen Instrumental-Parts geschrieben, gespielt und aufgenommen, wobei langjährige Kollaborateure wie Brian Robert Jones und Joey Howard projektübergreifend mitgewirkt haben und Jim-E Stack bei "True Believer" mitgewirkt hat. Official 12" reissue of Freex Machine's sought-after discoid-funk burner. Two underground groove-led gems recorded and released in 1979 on the New York indie-label Starbase Sounds. The Freex Machine hailed from Corona, Queens and had emerged as an extension of the group Hooker, a teenage band of musicians that started performing together in the early 70s, earning a respected reputation locally. Whilst a handful of singles were released under various monikers, including Aura and Stars, the band's distinct New York-centric live funk sound remained consistent.
