Metroplex Records welcomes Pascal Hetzel to the label. The Berlin-based producer and DJ (who is also half of the duo CYRK) delivers something a little different for Juan Atkins' label institution. The EP serves four slices of funky, dub-infused and chord-driven techno, aimed squarely at the dance floor that pay tribute to the Motor City legacy while carving out their own euphoric permutation of classic Detroit techno tropes. Berlin-based Pascal Hetzel returns to Caduceus Records with a new slice of gritty industrial-tinged techno and finely tuned sound design. "Noxious Stimulus", the EP's title track, is a heavy peak-time filler with a mesmerizing bleepy modular sequence on top of rough monochrome beats. On her remix, rising talent Denise Rabe cranks up the paranoia and turns "Noxious Stimulus" into an unrelenting pitch black grinder. "Pain Tolerance Threshold" starts off as hefty with yet another dose of metallic atmospheres and crushing modular sequences, until a bright pad appears out of the dark. Proper techno goodness for the wee hours in your favorite warehouse.
After a short break, Caduceus Records returns with a weighty techno 12" by long-time friend Pascal Hetzel. The Berlin-based producer delivers four storming tracks that cleverly translate the 90s techno heritage into the present. On "Motion Blur" a hypnotic bleep sequence gives way for majestic pad sweeps just in time for your serotonine rush. "Stutter" is more restrained, with a modulating chord sequence and sturdy drums, while "Timelapse" catapults into darker territory filled with industrial shrapnel and an extra bit of high-octane paranoia. "Strobe" is the fittingly titled closer of the ep. A pummeling piece of monochrome techno hypnosis with a massive kickdrum drenched in reverb and icy atmosphere.

Courtesy of Berlin-based Pascal Hetzel, the two tracks Extra Terra' and Fermi Paradox' showcase raw and rugged machine funk with a strong wide-eyed escapist undercurrent. The future is now.
A key label on the Berlin scene since the 1990s, Muller Records—famed for a deep and chunky club sound from artists like Dave DK, Claude Young and The Hacker—is back with a new EP from Beroshima feat Rummy Sharma with remixes from Namito and Pascal Hetzel. Beroshima, of course, is the production work of label Frank Muller sometimes accompanied by ethereal electronic music specialist Ulrich Schnauss. After more than twenty years together they have amassed a fine body of work that includes five albums and more than a hundred Eps!
Always mixing up acid, techno and tribal into something fresh, the Beroshima sound has its own unique signature.... For this latest single Muller steps up solo to produce another gem. The stellar Delhibelly is a slick and muscular cut that bubbles away on a bed of warming bass.... Smeared pads add soul and snares flap about like tin foil in a breeze. It's a futuristic cut that will always pack a punch in any context. The Techno Mix is just as soulful but is quicker and more expansive so as to carry dancers away on an uplifting groove. Namito is a Green Horn Records producer from Iran but based in Berlin. He is another veteran who is as relevant as ever and his mix slows things down to a deep, inviting roller with jazzy perc, absorbing synths and kinetic kicks driving things along in style. Finally Pascal Hetzel, fresh from his super CYRK release with Sierra Sam, completes this sterling great package.
His classy remix is another rounded affair full of warm synths and bass that is sure to keep energy and emotional levels high in any set. Once again here Muller Records have concocted a club ready record that both DJs and dancers will love.
Not even a month has passed since Sierra Sam and Pascal Hetzel ´s CYRK project launched with the high impact homage 'Tribute' and they return with yet another respectfully rooted release.
Channelling the energies of Detroitian agenda-setters such as Inner City, Joey Beltram and Scott Grooves, CYRK celebrate the original template and ingredients that have gone on to inform every genre that's since passed. Easy to say... A dark art to master without repeating something that's already been done before. Safe to say that CYRK definitely have that art mastered...
Its deft ping-pong riff echoing through classic detuned synth tones and unrelenting beats refusing to stop even for the honeyed evocative tones of singer Christine Eusebio , 'Fantasy' is one of those tracks you'll feel you know but also understand its freshness instantly. The type of track that gets crowds grinning like Cheshire cats the second it pops on... Even though they've never heard it before. Rooted in history, coded in innovation, it's more proof that CYRK's three-headed formula is better than one.
Remix-wise both Pascal Hetzel and Gerome Sportelli remain in Detroit: Pascal looks towards the likes of Mills and UR's 'World Power Alliance' phase for inspiration with his heads-down, militant techno aesthetics while Gerome conjures up sensations of Cybotron and The Preps with his slinky, ice-edged electro adaptation. Both versions take Christine's surging, sensual vocals to new creative pastures... And they've invited you to do the same with the acapella version, too.

CYRK, the Belgian-German duo of Sammy Goossens and Pascal Hetzel, is giving its debut release on Vakant with three fast-paced no-holds-barred electro jams topped off with a remix by French producer Voiski.
'Superior Things', the eponymous title track, kicks off the EP with driving funk and and acid lead synths, followed by 'Heatwave', another futuristic high-tech-funker. On the flip we have 'Chappers Said So', a sublime homage to classic Detroit electro and last but definitely not least Voiski's remix of the latter, an immersive and trance-inducing techno re-work for you to get lost in.

TreVision is the rare conjunction of the Berlin based acts Florian Meindl, Sierra Sam and Pascal Hetzel in the form of a wild & gear-heavy Techno live act.
This first release is a result of two techno jams: in the studio and in a club using 2 modular setups, a TR909, MPC1000, delay pedal, Analog Rytm and Moog filter. After a small editing and mastering, here is Trevision 01.
