Estus & Lester Patterson’s ‘Gonna Find A True Love’ is one of the greatest ‘70s southern soul dancers. A sublime three minutes of smooth, shuffling, dance floor dynamite, that has been reissued before and will no doubt be reissued again. It’s a record that has been in demand since it was championed by UK DJs, as Northern Soul began its wonderful offshoot into Modern Soul in the early '80s. It’s one that should be permanently in print for those who feel the need to add it to their DJ set, juke box, or home-listening/dancing pile… and Acid Jazz Records has obliged.
Nearly seven years since group label Miles Away pressed 500 copies, this new pressing is on Acid Jazz. To add to the fun, the Deep Soul ballad ‘How Long Must The Show Got On’ is on the flip, which has, until now, been an album-only gem, just sitting there waiting for someone to shine the spotlight on it.

Skip Audio Records returns with a vinyl-only VA, bringing four cuts from artists shaping the underground edge. Pressed to wax, this is a collection built for selectors who chase depth, texture, and weighty grooves.

DubTape opens with a massive, low-slung bassline, rolling dub-infused minimalism straight into the sound system. Techu follows with tight, percussive rhythms and subtle details that push the floor into late-night momentum.

On the flip, Fraxa delivers stripped-back hypnosis, layering sparse textures and evolving grooves into a pure after-hours weapon. Closing the record, Paolo Driver injects his acid-electro energy—snaking 303 lines, sharp analog hits, and swinging minimal motion that hits the peak-time sweet spot.

Das Wiener Label SILUH RECORDS feiert 20-jähriges Jubiläum u.a. mit dieser limitierten wirklichen Vinyl Only-VÖ (no CD, no DL, no Stream)! Das Album kommt mit 13 Songs, aktuelle Label-Artists covern jeweils einen liebgewonnene Song von Labelkolleg*innen. Ein wilder Ritt zwischen den Genres ist vorprogrammiert, was auch den breiten Backkatalog der Wiener Indie-Institution Siluh Records gut widerspiegelt. TELEBRAINS nehmen sich DIVES' "Tomorrow" vor, diese wiederum graben einen alten LUISE POP Song, der nie auf einem Album erschienen ist, aus und erwecken ihn zu neuem Leben. Die Indie-Folk-Gruppe GARDENS bearbeiten eine Dada-Pop-Nummer von EUROTEURO, die wiederum einen TOPSY TURVY Song eingedeutscht haben. Und so geht's munter weiter... Der Titel "POCKET SONGS" bezieht sich auf ein Zitat des befreundeten Betreibers von Bachelor Records, der mal meinte "Pocket Band, eine Band für die Hosentasche. Eine Band, die man liebt und von der man Freunden erzählen möchte, aber nicht zu vielen, denn die Band sollte klein und in der Hosentasche bleiben und nicht in den Playlists von jedem Tom, Dick und Harry vorkommen". In the last two years, Barry Can’t Swim has released two albums – When Will We Land? and Loner. The debut was nominated for a Mercury Music Prize, winning 2024’s Best Dance Act on BBC Radio 1 and being nominated for Best Dance Act at the BRIT Awards in the same year. The latest album, 2025’s Loner, hit the top ten in the UK charts and was number one in the dance charts. This summer, Barry Can’t Swim cemented his position as one of the most singular new voices in electronic music with a gangbusting performance as a headliner at All Points East in London’s Victoria Park, building on his back-to-back performance with Bonobo at Coachella in 2024. Barry’s Late Night Tales mix brings together disparate styles and forms them into a coherent narrative. The powerful house tracks, like Lance DeSardi’s ‘Power of Suggestion’ and Daniel Avery’s remix of Factory Floor, intertwine with the abstract grooves of Freddie Da Stupid or Ronald Langestraat’s leftfield reading of Boz Scaggs’ ’70s smash ‘Lowdown’. There are exclusive tracks from Barry Can’t Swim himself (in the form of new single ‘Chala’ and an exclusive edit of Superpitcher’s ‘Yves’) and from friends and contemporaries, like Ninja Tune labelmate O’Flynn. Mastery, London’s pioneering sound studio, has spent its first two years creating live experiences and installations exploring sound as a gateway to altered states. Now, with co-founders LWE, Mastery enters recorded music with Quantum Sound, a first-of-its-kind project combining sound meditation, breathwork, neuroscience and ambient electronic composition. Announced in December in collaboration with Houndstooth, the album builds on Mastery’s ongoing exploration of sound as both meditation and live electronic music, first introduced through immersive performances by Cherub Sanson, Tim Wheater and Daniel Avery.

Released on 12th February, Quantum Sound positions sound as a psychedelic catalyst, designed for eyes-closed listening. The multi-artist album spans ambient and transcendental spaces, featuring Jon Hopkins, Hannah Holland, Wata Igarashi, Manami, Jennifer Loveless, Silent Shadow and Alessandro Cortini. It also includes a continuous 60-minute mix by Hannah Holland, alongside a 15-minute sound meditation by Cherub Sanson and Tim Wheater with electronic composer Rommek. Following Djrum’s Come Find Me, Ruthlss'’ Dark Angel is out today. Ruthlss is a live electronic artist, composer and producer building a singular musical universe where club culture, classical virtuosity and emotional
storytelling collide. At the centre of the project is a fully authored live show - written, produced and performed entirely by Ruth - that treats electronic music with the emotional and structural depth of film scores and symphonic works, while retaining the physical impact and communal release of the dancefloor.

Fast fünf Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung ihres letzten Werkes "Sci-Fi Sky" hat Lebanon Hanover nun mit "Asylum Lullabies" einen Soundtrack für einen Besuch in einer psychiatrischen Klinik kreiert. Leave it to Joe Claussell to tap into our current collective artificial intelligence anxiety and render the racket divine. Alan Parson’s 1977 I Robot—the LP from which these two new edits were culled—was a harbinger for all the technological sheen and humanistic distress that was to come. Drawing from heady science fiction and even headier musicality and studio sophistication, ’The Voice’ evoked Jeremy Bentham-like omniscient surveillance, while the original ‘I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You’ explores the ambivalent rift in perspective between the two poles of flesh and metal. For Claussell, the dichotomy leaves more unanswered questions and artistic possibilities, for the truth is always tangled and ripe for potential. Our bodies are propelled by the same electrons which accumulate in capacitors; our hearts, as Milford Graves was so enthralled, likewise transmit the same electric impulses which not only sustain our bodies but soundtrack our eternal, internal rhythm. These edits, with their strings, synthesizers and distortion-ravaged guitars, are protracted to dynamic sublimity, and seem aware of this seemingly opposing dynamic. Claussell, himself a lifelong proponent and interrogator of man’s relationship with mechanized rhythm and sound, leaves our earthly toil and unease behind for something greater, something yet unnamed, shared between us all at our finest. It's almost a feeling you can touch in the air…

Desinteresse releases their second album Onschuld through Fabrika Records on September 9, 2025.

Desinteresse is a Dutch Coldwave act consisting of Bart Vranken (bass), Joppe de Swart (drums), and Sem van den Munckhof (vocals/synth/guitar). Formed in late 2022 as a duo, Bart and Sem released their debut album Voor Altijd in April 2023 and the EP Ik Wil Dood Als Ik Het Vergeet in November 2023, both on cassette through their own label DECADENCE. With the addition of Joppe in early 2024, they released their first work as trio in August 2024, the 7” single Grijze Dromen.

Desinteresse produces their music using original vintage equipment as a deliberate form of artistic expression and identity. Their live performances are a melancholic, but mesmerizing affair, where music and vocals amplify the weight of their message, emphasizing the non-existential and abandoned emotions that define their sound. An absolute delicacy for fans of Fad Gadget, The Normal, Joy Division and early work from The Cure.

The titles and lyrics are in their native Dutch. Onschuld (also the title of the opening track) translates to ‘innocence’. With other titles such as Niets Te Zeggen (nothing to say), Brekend Glas (breaking glass) and Grizje Dromen (grey dreams), this pensive album could be a good-bye to innocence, but it’s certainly the ideal companion for ruminations on gloom.

Grad_U returns to his legendary Redscale imprint with a re-press of one of the label’s most sought-after 12-inches. Originally released as part of the series that helped define modern dub techno, Redscale 02 showcases the Lithuanian artist’s unmistakable sound, deep, analog, and endlessly evolving.
Both sides carry Grad_U’s signature weight: hypnotic low-end movement, rolling chords, and perfectly balanced textures that blur the line between club tool and meditative listening piece. Once again, Redscale reminds us why it stands as one of the most respected labels in the global dub techno scene: no hype, no compromise, just deep, timeless sound.

Emerging from a shared love of long-form storytelling and hypnotic groove, Techfui presents a stunning double album from Ada Kaleh and Wareika, a cross-continental dialogue between two singular visions of deep and micro house.
Romanian composer and sound alchemist Ada Kaleh channels his signature world of organic textures, dub-soaked spaces and slowly evolving rhythms, known from his forward-thinking work on R&S, Apollo and his own Ada Kaleh Romania imprint. His part of the productions unfolds like a ritual: subtle, detailed and endlessly spiralling, built for dancers who like to disappear inside the groove.
On the other side, trio Wareika bring their unique blend of live jazz sensibility, meditative dub and electronic body music, honed over years of improvisation and boundary-blurring club performances. Their contributions lean into fluid polyrhythms, elastic basslines and shimmering harmonies, tracks that feel alive, breathing and in constant motion.
The journey is expanded by a heavyweight remix cast: minimal house icon Thomas Melchior, Techfui founder and Bahrain mainstay Salah Sadeq, whose deep house productions are crafted to move both heart and floor, and the elusive studio force DUST. Each rework dials the hypnosis in further, stretching time and space without ever losing the warmth of the original material.

With this new remix EP, The Lovers explore different shades of disco and house through a carefully balanced and personal approach.

The opening track sets the tone with a playful and hypnotic groove, built around arpeggiated patterns and a steady modern rhythm. A female spoken vocal, instantly recognizable from Italian television culture of the 1980s, takes center stage, while a smooth saxophone line adds a sensual, cinematic layer.

The second cut moves into deeper emotional territory. Beginning with a restrained atmosphere, the track slowly builds tension through a rebuilt bassline and a solid house pulse, eventually opening into a more expansive and powerful moment on the floor.

A warmer disco-driven piece follows, focused on groove and feeling. The original spirit is preserved, while a heavier low end gives the track new confidence and presence within a contemporary club setting.

Double Je is Hypnotique’s third release on Bordello A Parigi. Following the successes of La Pénombre and Solitude, the trio of Sergio Mesa (IAMNOTAROBOT), David and Maia Jornet have reconvened for a smouldering three tracker. Vocals scale soaring synthlines in the title piece. Melodies dip and swoop like birds in flight. A beat throbs as Maia’s lyrics sail ever higher in this tale of misguided romance and impossible answers. The instrumental version allows the track’s intricate synthwork to take centre stage. Marking his vinyl debut on Lowpass, Berlin-based producer APRS steps forward after a run of striking releases on labels such as Soma, ARTS and Sungate.

“Drift” explores human emotions through drums, melodies and textures with five pieces that refuse to settle into one shape. Each track bends the EP in a new direction without breaking its thread, holding onto a sense of vastness, detail and intimacy. Andy Martin closes the record with a remix that widens the palette even further, pushing the material into heavier terrain while keeping its spirit intact.

LWP001 is less a declaration than a first gesture. Intuition over uniformity; a label shaped by instinct, variation and space; a place for artists to wander and for sound to evolve freely.

You may be excused if, seeing the dazzling China Moses on stage, online, or on-air, you thought that she, fabulous and French, an orchestra trailing her, with one of those light-up-a-room smiles you only hear about in myth, was someone who might only be singing cheery songs about her glamorous musical life. Not so. It’s complicated… vibrates with the joy, wistfulness, ambivalence, and wisdom of a woman who’s been on many journeys, down many paths, and landed here, in your ears, on purpose, with something to say.

Through these songs, China captures the many hues of grown Black womandom: her choices, her regrets; her place in society as both citizen and observer. Her voice is girlish and playful; gritty and growly; truly prismatic, as Anthony Peyton Young’s cover art suggests, to reflect the many lives she’s lived. And she does all this with vulnerability, a quality that transcends and supersedes genre, taste, or ability. Of all the tools a singer-songwriter could possess, it might be the most important one. Though there is bravado here (“I can be happy”, the song and the video, are the best example), this is an album that taps into the full, resplendent spectrum of human experience, its many facets hewn into these 10 gems before you.

“Alle Sorgenti Delle Civiltà Vol. 3 - Africa, Australia, Nuova Zelanda” (1971) is the third and final chapter of a triptych of folk-based sound recordings released by Folkmusic. The album contains a total of fourteen tracks by Braen and Raskovich, i.e. the a formidable multi-instrumentalists Alessandro Alessandroni and Giuliano Sorgini, each grappling with seven different compositions characterised by a tribal mood. Among the grooves of this record, repressed on vinyl for the first time by Musica Per Immagini, it is possible to discern an in-depth study of one of those forms of popular culture referring to a specific geographic area, comprising the types of traditions often handed down orally and concerning knowledge, beliefs, fairy tales, legends, myths, narratives linked to the dimension of the fantastic, customs and traditions, namely music. Festivals and propitiatory rites, fights and dances, magical and sacred representations were all expressions of life whose sound and rhythm contributed to an appropriate description of the environment. Alessandro Alessandroni and Giuliano Sorgini have chosen some of the most significant musical characters that even belong to specific ethnic realities scattered across two distant continents, where the use of some of the typical instruments has favoured the realisation of sonorities of considerable interest.

The short, mysterious career of the female French duo Deux Filles is bookended by tragedy. Gemini Forque and Claudine Coule met as teenagers at a holiday pilgrimage to Lourdes, during which Coule's mother died of an incurable lung disease and Forque's mother was killed and her father paralyzed in an auto accident. The two teens bonded over their shared grief and worked through their bereavement with music. However, after recording two critically acclaimed albums and playing throughout Europe and North America, Forque and Coule disappeared without a trace in North Africa in 1984 during a trip to visit Algiers. The short and terribly unhappy lives of Forque and Coule are at the root of the small but fervent cult following the mysterious duo have gained since their disappearance, not least because the placid, largely instrumental music on the duo's albums betrays no hint of the sorrow that framed their personal lives.

This would be a terribly sad story if a word of it were true. In reality, Deux Filles were Simon Fisher Turner, former child star/teen idol and future soundtrack composer, and his mate Colin Lloyd Tucker. Turner and Tucker left an early incarnation of The The in 1981 to pursue another musical direction. Turner claims that the idea of Deux Filles came to him in a dream, and he and Tucker strictly maintained the fiction throughout the duo's career. Not only did they pose in drag for the album covers, the duo once even played live without the audience realizing that the tragic French girls on-stage were actually a pair of blokes from south London. Deux Filles released two albums through Turner and Tucker's Papier Mache label, 1982's Silence & Wisdom' and 1983's Double Happiness'. Both albums are included here and blend watery piano, occasionally ghostly vocals, sheets of synthesizers, heavily processed guitars and the barest minimum of percussion. Drifting and wistful, they're a pair of lost ambient gems from a time when the genre had yet to mature, an excellent example of post-Eno, pre-Orb ambient music.

All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in gatefold sleeve with original front covers of both albums, and a centerfold of archive images and the original liner notes. Each LP includes a sticker of the Lino cuts by Adrian Gill that was included with the original pressing.

Following standout releases on Tusk Wax and Binh’s Time Passages, Hamburg’s own Difool returns with fresh material for his debut on the mighty Partout Records from Paris.
This new EP continues his exploration of intricate grooves and timeless electronic textures. On A1 duty “Space Monkey Down” is a peak time future rave classic, reminiscent of 1990’s Trance eternals. “Now Hear This” combines classic 808 Electro beats with dreamy pads and a drilling 303 pattern. On the flip “Zone of Avoidance” and “Mosher” both employ broken beats and maximalist sound design for the discerning club-palate. This latest outing is a natural evolution for an artist who has already left his mark on two of the scene’s most respected labels..

Krope is a six-part conceptual album by Belarusian sound artist and producer Anton Anishchanka. Rooted in archival folk songs recorded between the 1960s and 2000s, it transforms fragile voices of the past into living, cinematic sound worlds. Created in collaboration with ethnographer Iryna Vasilyeva, the album weaves Belarusian traditional music with field recordings, acoustic instruments, and analog synthesizers — an immersive journey where memory, landscape, and resilience converge.

Flowing as one continuous suite, Krope unfolds like a film: memory re-emerges, fragile yet persistent, shaping an emotional narrative of displacement, loss, endurance, and hope. The archival voices at its core — songs of love, exile, and mourning — resonate across decades, echoing the urgent realities of today. The album flows as a single, immersive sonic odyssey. From the tender rejection in Krope (Dill) to the grief carved in Dubrovuška (Oak Grove), it traces an arc of human experience that is both deeply personal and universally shared. By reimagining traditional music through contemporary sound art, Anishchanka preserves endangered cultural heritage while revealing its timeless relevance.

With Cliknopium I, Dr.Nojoke opens a new 12-inch series marking 20 years of CLIKNO — the artistic concept built entirely on field recordings and found sounds. Since its foundation in 2005, CLIKNO has focused on transforming everyday sonic fragments into electronic microcosms, guided by a strict manifesto: no presets, no templates, no classic machines, and every sound crafted from scratch. This approach has shaped Dr. Nojoke’s unmistakable aesthetic — detailed, tactile, and rhythmically unconventional.

Influenced early on by the click-and-glitch lineage of Villalobos, Jan Jelinek, Akufen, and Alva Noto, Dr. Nojoke has long expanded his palette to include dub-infused basslines, delicate percussions, and hypnotic textures. The result is a body of work he describes as “CLIKNO,” where organic sounds meet electronic precision.

Treguja opens the record with a playful, slightly wonky funk, evoking the atmosphere of a clandestine backyard rave. Gragada shifts into deeper territories, its bird calls and floating chords unfolding like a memory of a vanished paradise. On the B-side, Wesikwa propels the listener into a dreamlike, ritualistic groove, carried by Jew’s harps, murmured voices, and a steady, immersive pulse.

Twenty years after the concept began, CLIKNO remains as vital and imaginative as ever. Cliknopium I is both a celebration of this legacy and the beginning of a new exploratory chapter — an invitation to flip the record and let the trip continue.

raum…musik welcomes Giuliano Lomonte for its 120th release with Moonlight EP — a three-track journey cross-sectioning house and techno with hints of 90’s progressive trance, combining precise rhythmic control, atmospheric depth, and club-focused energy. Tools built for tension, release, and maximum dancefloor impact.

The EP opens with “Drynation”, a ten-minute prog-tech-house roller built on hypnotic grooves, rolling low-end, and evolving percussive patterns and synth textures, locking the floor in with a steady pulse and a masterful play of tension and release. “Moonlight” shifts into deeper, proggy techno territory, weaving subtle percussive motifs over a simple interchanged kick-and-bass foundation. Fluid and restrained, the track unfolds slowly, with minimal drum variations and gently filtered synths, creating an elegant sense of forward motion. Closing the EP, “One Step Ahead” balances stripped-back tribal house energy with rolling grooves, detailed percussion, and warm pads, resulting in a deeper cut that is precise, functional, and full of understated character.

With Moonlight EP, Lomonte confirms his mastery of tension, texture, and subtle movement, delivering a record that reinforces Raum…Musik’s reputation for high-quality, dancefloor-ready music while highlighting his signature blend of rhythm, refinement, and subtle progression.

David August's most expansive, ambitious album to date, the Italian – German composer and producer lets his vast sonic universe collapse, rediscovering in its wake an instrument that's been a constant presence in his life. 'Hymns' is a deeply personal set of candid piano – led reflections that tell a simpler but far more distinctive story; rather than concentrate on the life cycle of humanity and civilization, August narrows his field of vision, tracing his own background and re - asserting his relationship with a musical language he'd tried hard to unlearn. An intimate, instinctual album that emerged from isolation and contemplation, 'Hymns' is also a surprisingly hopeful suite of soft hued, evocative improvisations that well up from the depths of the soul. In August's own words, "it should recall light, not darkness."

Stepping up for Punctuality number 8 is the dynamic duo of Ciel and Matthis Ruffing. Needing little introduction, both artists are prolific producers and collaborators across tempos and genres. Toronto-based Ciel has released music on labels like NAFF, Peach Discs, and !K7, while Berliner Matthis Ruffing’s work can be found on International Chrome, Infinite Drift, and Strictly Strictly, to name just a few.

Bonding over a shared love for the techno stylings of Claude Young and early 2000s tech/prog house from labels like Future Groove and Slide, the duo’s collaboration began with a spontaneous jam in Ruffing’s Berlin studio during the summer of 2022. With an organic studio chemistry, the pair continued to jam over the following years. Hot Squid is the result of these studio experiments: five tracks of sleek, muscular, contemporary tech house that fluidly distill the creative visions of both artists—slick, shimmering grooves, heavily weighted for the dancefloor.

The title track, Hot Squid, weaves dubbed-out waves of FX and low-end sonics around metallic, staccato drum bursts, sci-fi pads, stuttered vocals, and syncopated snares that flit and flicker around a rolling bassline reminiscent of golden-era UK tech house from the late ’90s. Roza Terenzi’s remix flips the original into a modern, low-stepping tek roller—a mind-bending re-fix that puts more focus on the snaking vocal groove and a sparser percussion arrangement, filled out with lustrous textures and razor-precise sound design.

On Little Voice, glossy synths and spiraling atmospherics cascade around a mesmeric vocal line, while tightly wound, minimal drum loops give way to a swaggering bassline that barely relents throughout the track. The result is a satisfyingly boshy, groove-driven roller, fit for the dancefloor at any time of day.
Late Summer maintains the EP’s high-grade production standard in the form of a dreamy, electro-leaning tech house number, resplendent with deep, pummeling kick drums, woozy low-end, and organic sonics. Its plucked melody and introspective pads nod to halcyon-era IDM and the Detroit techno that inspired the duo in creating Hot Squid.

The release culminates in Bong Bong—a meditative dancefloor tool suffused with ASMR-like nature documentary samples that lend the track a psychedelic intimacy. Careening percussion lines and swooning chord stabs anchor the rhythm, while the title’s “Bong Bong” mantra hums beneath the surface, carried along by barely perceptible sub fills and ultra-processed percussion. A cohesive, unique, and enduring take on seminal tech house and Detroit techno from Ciel and Matthis Ruffing.

Dutch DJ/producer Boss Priester has built a name as a producer who operates with a ‘let the music speak’ ethos.
