Pre-Diabolus 1969 heavy, late psych into early progressive rock, rescued from the only known copy of a Shield Studios acetate. Side one features three furious guitar-driven psych killers, backed by “sea-sick” Hammond rumbling bass and thunderous drums. There were definitely some bombers in with their acid. Side two, a deranged garage progressive take on Jerusalem,
is followed by a blues-tinged guitar epic of mocking insouciance. Hi-fi it isn’t, hi quality and hi energy it is! We hear Open Mind, Harsh Reality, Pink Fairies, Human Beast.
