BerettaMusic has long been a cornerstone of Detroit’s underground dance scene, launching the careers of renowned artists like Seth Troxler, Ryan Crosson, Luke Hess, and many more. With its latest release, the label continues to cement its legacy—this time with a standout record from label boss Ryan Sadorus.

Sadorus has been on a production streak, making waves not only in Detroit but across the globe. His recent work includes the deep and driving “Down Below” on Norm Talley’s esteemed Upstairs Asylum label. Now, he teams up with the incredibly talented vocalist Simon Black to deliver a fresh slice of Detroit house music.

Their track “Hot in the D” captures the raw, moody, and hypnotic essence of the city’s signature house sound. While Detroit is often synonymous with techno, its deep and soulful house scene has also made an undeniable global impact. The track has already been turning heads at underground parties in Detroit, with dancers and DJs alike asking, “What is this?!” and “When can I get it?!”

On remix duties, Delano Smith—a true pioneer of the Detroit sound and someone that needs no introduction—delivers his signature deep, rolling, and hypnotic style to “Hot in the D”, making this release a must-have for house music lovers globally. Stay tuned—this one is destined to move dance floors everywhere… Already getting heavy rotation from Jimpster, Gilles Peterson and DJ Harvey to name a few.

Following on from the success of the David Bowie 'Loving The Alien' boxed sets, on 15th February 2019  we will be breaking out the three studio albums, 'Let's Dance', 'Tonight' and 'Never Let Me Down' on LP, CD and various digital formats plus the two live albums 'Serious Moonlight (Live '83)' and 'Glass Spider (Live Montreal '87)' on CD and digital formats and 'Dance' which features 12 remixes on standard digital.

A nice mix of funk, hip-hop and reggae influences go into the melting pot on the latest SuckaSide, with 'Even After All' proving to be a laid back, blunted jam that's backed up with some hard hitting, sturdy beat manouevres. On the edgier sounding flip, meanwhile, a female MC spits with impressive ferocity while a lovely warm - and somewhat familiar - analogue-edge loop works its magic. Both are key components for use at different points in the jam, some badly needed heavy weaponry that Donald Trump can't withdraw from service here.

The highly sought after 'Tech This Out Pt. 1' by Karizma is back again on Atjazz Record Company. This limited blue vinyl edition will give people a chance who weren’t fortunate enough the first-time round, to now have a copy for themselves. With the first pressing selling for £50 on the second-hand market, this new version will not be around for long. As always, buy or cry.

Shortly after Jay Dee’s younger brother Illa J’s solo debut was issued on Delicious Vinyl, the label and the artist knew the next step in honouring Jay Dee’s legacy was to issue the complete instrumentals from Yancey Boys as a stand-alone release. This mother lode of previously untouched (at the time) beats dates as far back as Jay Dee’s time working on the Pharcyde’s sophomore album, 1995’s Labcabincalifornia. As Delicious Vinyl owner Michael Ross explains, “From ‘95 through ’98 Jay Dee was my go-to guy for hot beats and remixes. He was always making beats, always. So there was a select amount of tracks that he composed for me during that time, tracks as good as anything he’d done, only they never got used.” Once these beats were used for Illa J’s Yancey Boys they were presented to the public on Yancey Boys Instrumentals.

The vinyl and digital selection of "The Most Famous Unknown" features remixes by Body Sushi a.k.a. VTSS & Randomer, Dasha Rush, Gabber Eleganza feat. Delirio, Jasss, Kilbourne, Minimum Syndicat, Nina Kraviz, Perc, Solid Blake, Stranger, Umwelt and VTSS, which all deliver excellent interpretations of tracks they have chosen to revamp. Following his 2019 debut on the label with Amphibious / Lucid Dreams, Bristol-based producer Drone returns to System Music for another exploration into the darker corners of sonic frequencies and low end pressure.

Entitled Flooded EP, this is Drone’s biggest project to date and features 4 original, epic tracks accompanied by an incredible remix from SP:MC. The EP kicks off with 20k, an introduction laden with off-kilter, haunting eeriness and pulsating bass and percussion. Next up is Entropy, a truly ethereal track. Spatially beautiful yet isolating and cold. The title track, Flooded, is a monster of a track which intimidates and excites with eyes down and gun fingers raised. Rounding off the body of work is Fear which hits hard with crisp drum patterns and a throbbing bassline, almost evoking a sense of nostalgia, tying it in seamlessly with a typically electrifying remix from SP:MC

Peach Discs’ first EP of 2025 comes from DJ, producer, curator and all-round doer of great things James Priestley aka Secretsundaze.

The Mordisco EP accumulates inspiration from James' past and present, whether it be echoes of his time as a drum & bass DJ in the late 90s on "Closer," the UK Bass-referencing percussive drive of "Treat That Doll" or the title track's vocal contributions from partner Paula Juana, the result is a personal and true record that always retains the laser-focused dancefloor energy that James is so good at dishing up.

Lead single "Mordisco" serves to highlight both the UK x Colombia connection found in James' relationship to Paula, as well as his love for Latin American music in general. Paula's sultry vocals wrap themselves around tumbling drum fills, arcing synths and an insistent rhodes riff, creating something unclassifiably groovy, riding the line between house and techno while never settling into either. Sansibar takes the baton and runs further into propulsive, progged-out, dubbed-out territory on his remix – the first officially released remix on Peach Discs.

James founded Secretsundaze as a party series in 2002, and since then it's established itself as one of the most reliable names in electronic music, encompassing a record label, festival (Multi Multi), live band (Spirit of Sundaze Ensemble) and production outfit. The four tracks that make up this EP fit neatly into the lineage that James has cultivated over the past 23 years – paying tribute to history while not being beholden to it. Mordisco continues the deep, rhythmically ambiguous approach to house music that Secretsundaze championed since the first EP for Phonica Records in 2018, and continued with stand-out releases for Mule Muziq, Live At Robert Johnson and more recently Warning.

As long-time fans and affiliates of Secretsundaze (Shanti released her Alma EP on the label back in 2015), we're thrilled to be working together again and releasing this record into the world.

The single is rounded off by a master of club remixes, DJ and producer Delfonic from Berlin, a highly respected artist by Gilles Peterson, who gives the piece a magical touch for every deep dance floor with heavy beats.

The Bluebells' Sisters is a perfect snapshot of early '80s "Sound of Young Scotland": Glasgow indie pop with bittersweet spirit, sharp hooks, and heartfelt harmonies. Signing to the then-nascent London Records, and working with a procession of esteemed producers (including Elvis Costello who became a mentor and teacher to the band), The Bluebells enjoyed three UK hits in the 1980s ('Cath', 'Young at Heart' and 'I'm Falling') before touring widely throughout Europe and North America, developing their live sound and signing to Seymour Stein's Sire Records in the U.S.

A decade later in 1993 that 'Young at Heart' hit the U.K. No 1 spot following its use as a T.V. advert for Volkswagen. Fast forward to this decade The Bluebells have reformed with a flurry of shows across the past two years including a triumphant return to Glasgow at Barrowlands for Celtic Connects, and just announced for the Acoustic Stage for Glastonbury Festival 2025.

This new edition of Sisters has been remastered and produced in consultation with the band, using the best audio sources available, including non-album singles and B-sides, bonus tracks from the original cassette edition and new liner notes from Will Hodgkinson.

Tracks like "Dub Lush" and "The Truth" highlight SofaTalk's ability to craft deeply textured productions, while "Paradiddle," "Complex Journey," and "Around" showcase his playful, lo-fi sensibilities and love for rhythmic experimentation. The album closes with "Magpie Rules," a dreamy, breakbeat-driven finale that captures the surreal energy of the entire release. With support from artists like Fred P, Carista, and Bradley Zero, *The Soul's Code* is another bold step in SofaTalk's constantly evolving musical journey.

Reedale Rise has already made his mark with releases on Frustrated Funk and Delsin, but this latest release shows there's a whole new side to his sound. If you think you know him, think again. He's come through with three tracks of pure futuristic depth, all infused with Detroit influence. Rhiza Semar returns with Scarlet Cloak, the second instalment from Dutch-Indonesian producer and label founder Hitam. Emerging from the depths of sonic experimentation, Scarlet Cloak continues Rhiza Semar's mission - blending club-oriented tracks with a left-field approach. With three tracks from Hitam and a remix by Nawaz, the EP offers a subtle nod to early 00's mental tribe, reimagining it with a sleek, contemporary, edge. Pulsing tentatively, Scarlet Cloak opens with delicate drum patterns, paving the way for gritty, heady sonic immersion. Meticulously crafted, faint and distant synths emerge on the horizon, orchestrating an ambience that conjures quiet anticipation - a peaceful wonder drifting through the shadows. Blissfully snaking into the next production, Nawaz remixes the track with a razor-sharp switch in tempo, locking the mental trip. Setting the pace for deep introspection, fast and obscure aquatic layers ripple, submerging the listener into dark, murky textures. Flashes of club lights dissolve into a distorted memory, intangible yet electrifying as Future Kill seizes the mind. Pangs of liquid acid spread through an aphotic tunnel of sound, while percussive elements pump the heart, mirroring the adrenaline rush before stepping into a cavernous rave. In Your Head spins forward, stripped-back minimal layers congregate, spiraling the EP toward a hard climax. Rough-cut textures and skittish vocals lay on a soft bed of snares, creating psychedelic dissonance. The atmosphere thickens and breaks with permeating, rolling kick drums, drawing this 10-minute odyssey to a close. Lose yourself in a sonic labyrinth as Hitam masterfully crafts Scarlet Cloak - a volatile minefield seeping with rude, mental, teeth-gritting energy. credits Words by Charlotte Hingley

One of the biggest tunes of 2011 gets a reload on Hotflush with a brand new remix from house legend Mr. G.

Hotflush label boss Scuba was a dubstep exile in Berlin running parties at Berghain in 2011, following the release of his landmark album Triangulation the previous year. The SCB project had been launched as a platform for his productions outside of the 140 realm, anticipating a stylistic move that would make a serious impact on the dance scene at large.

‘Loss’ was released on Aus Music that March, proceeded to destroy dancefloors across the globe, and ended the year at number 7 in RA’s ‘Top Tracks of 2011’. In 2025, it retains the unique combination of minimal elegance and trance power that gave it such impact all those years ago.

UK house mastermind Mr. G steps up with a trademark remix - uncompromising in groove and structure, guaranteed to do the business on the floor.

And to round off the package, a previously unreleased version of the original b-side, FutureUnknown is included. The ‘Voxattack’ made many appearances in the Scuba DJ set at the time and qualifies for ‘sought-after lost dub’ status.

The Richard Sen remixes of John Grant were commissioned in 2016 but were never released. Since then, enquiries about release have continued to this day. Sen's remix of 'Disappointing' featured on Andrew Weatherall's Beats In Space mix in 2016 and was a staple in his DJ sets, especially at ALFOS. Charlie Bones, Ivan Smagghe and Optimo also supported it at the time. This release on Sen's DIYC label follows his much hyped album, India Man. In addition, Richard's compilation, Dream The Dream on Ransom Note (2023) was voted Best British Compilation by DJ Mag. These remixes have also been gaining much interest from the listeners of Sen's weekly show on Do!! You!!! Radio.

Music For Pleasure is the 1997 debut studio album by Monaco, a side project of New Order bassist Peter Hook. When New Order went on a hiatus after 1993’s Republic, Hook took the group’s sound and spirit with him and founded Monaco together with David Potts. Hook’s distinctive pulsating bass lines united New Order’s marriage of post-punk and pop, creating an identity so recognizable that Monaco’s first single, “What Do You Want From Me?”, was often mistaken for a New Order track. Upon its release, the album hit #11 on the UK album charts and sold more than 500.000 copies worldwide Music For Pleasure is for the first time available as an expanded edition featuring 6 bonus tracks, including remixes by Joey Negro and Farley & Heller. The 2LP Music For Pleasure (Expanded Edition) is available as a limited edition of 2.000 copies on orange coloured vinyl, housed in a gatefold sleeve, and includes a 4-page booklet.

KITCHEN FUNK: The Groove Legacy of Funk, Hip-Hop, and House
Founded in 1999 in Lorient by Tabasko and Ramirez, key figures in the Breton underground scene, KITCHEN FUNK fuses hip-hop, soul, funk, acid jazz, and house music into a unique sonic universe. Combining punchy rhythms with captivating grooves, the duo made a name for itself in the 2000s, marked by the excitement of clubs and radio stations.

"LETUGO": A Forgotten Treasure Finally Rediscovered
Among their notable collaborations, "LETUGO," recorded with Karl the Voice, embodies the very essence of KITCHEN FUNK. This powerful track, blending funky vibes and soulful energy, didn't receive the promotion it deserved upon its release.

25 years later, the story takes an unexpected turn. After rediscovering local archives, RAMIREZ and JULIEN LO BONO decided to reissue "LETUGO" on vinyl to mark the project's anniversary. The initiative sparked immediate interest: Breton radio stations picked it up, and the record finally found its audience, proving that KITCHEN FUNK's groove is timeless.

A resounding success with "PUSSY CALL"
Before this resurgence, KITCHEN FUNK had made a lasting impression with "PUSSY CALL", a hit that received critical acclaim on Europe 2, NRJ, and RADIO FG. This success allowed the duo to sign with CHRYSALIS PUBLISHING and then 909 RECORDZ (WARNER FRANCE), confirming their place in the French music scene.

A promising future
And this is just the beginning... Boosted by this renewed interest, KITCHEN FUNK is preparing new projects, supported by Jean Jérôme, a key player in the success of "PUSSY CALL." A return to the stage is in the works, ready to rekindle the flame of funk, hip-hop, and house music for a new generation of enthusiasts.

An absolutely timeless chord progression runs throughout this tune and the climax is nothing short of epic."

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eternity,, Music on Vinyl in cooperation with Armada Music and Armin van Buuren present all 4 versions of Eternity on vinyl for the first time. The 12-inch is available as a 25th anniversary edition of 1500 copies on silver coloured vinyl.
