Following Jaguar Mirror [c.2016] and Night School Of Universal Wisdom [c.2017], psychonaut Thunder Tillman and his personal shaman Pontus deliver another sublime EP, completing an illustrious trilogy with arguably their most expansive work to date, Condor Sunower. The title track is emotionally overwhelming, a drum procession that carries a righteous battle hymn to epic heights, accumulating primitive instrumentation, ceremonial chants, emotive chord changes and Beach Boy harmonies before exiting on a tear-jerking coda. The intermediary track Sväva is just as vulnerable, a modestly-arranged and leisurely-paced lullaby, where angels coalesce with a droning organ and eventually unfurl into the warm glow of rapture. Before we hit rock bottom, Thunder and Pony halt the elevator, abandoning any sense of melancholy and climbing to new heights with Creation Discoteque, an 11-minute Prog beast that chronicles a myriad of their musical adventures. This retrospective of altered states does seem designed to drop the curtain on their meticulously-crafted narrative, but not without foreshadowing their future and throwing in an air-shaking rave-up that sprints toward the nish line. What we nd enviable, spanning 3 glorious Thunder Tillman EPs and short lms, is the duo's creative simpatico, something that many artists in collaboration never truly behold. It's not their joint musical intuition, their intrinsic understanding of one another's craft, or even the power of their improvisational tether, but their spiritual alliance that nobody can touch. It's as if they share a tandem bicycle ride on the highest plane of consciousness to lounge in the members-only spa where they telepathically discuss secrets of high-grade musical alchemy

recording by french avant-garde electronic composer Igor Wakhevitch, who composed a bunch of
major experimental albums in the 70's such as Logos, Docteur Faust, Hathor, Les Fous d'Or,
Nagual and Let's Start.
During this 10 years period, Wakhevitch was close to Jean-Michel Jarre, the Pink Floyd, the Soft
Machine, and legendary choreographer Maurice Bejart having with him many conversations around
dance and music, human body and soul, spiritual path, collective life, new society, human evolution.
As a composer Igor Wakhevitch collaborated with Salvador Dali, Carolyn Carlson, and Terry Riley to
name a few. He's considered as one of the first French composer using synthesizers like Synthi
AKS, ARP2600 or Moog modular systems.
After spending almost 30 years in India, Igor Wakhevitch dug in his archives this unreleased work
recorded in 1999 on his 'Mysterious Island 88' system. Esotheric, sacred and cosmic, KSHATRYA,
(The Eye Of The Bird) is the logical follow up of Igor's early works and a monumental piece of
electronic music. A must!

Too $hort's legendary 1992 effort 'Shorty The Pimp' is back in effect on vinyl thanks to the hip hop preservationist at Get On Down. Though many don't consider this to be one of Too $hort's strongest releases, the project did move well over 80,000 in its first week of release landing at Number 6 on the Billboard Top 200. Taking the title from the incredibly rare 1973 Blaxploitation film, Too $hort does what he does best on Shorty The Pimp: funk beats, boastful braggadocio, a few conscious rhymes and layers of straight up pimp talk. The lyrical content can certainly be considered comical and entertaining. 'Shorty The Pimp' is also a stand out project for producer Ant Banks who did many of the beats for the project, his first works with Too $hort with many more to follow over the next decade. Oddly enough, one of the best comments on 'Shorty The Pimp' comes from a random guy on the internet who commented on his experience listening to the release, 'I ran my car into a tree after listening to 'It Don't Stop' Definitely made for cars with the booming systems!'

The OUER guys just live down the road from us in Berlin and we have been crossing paths many times these past years so it is with great joy we can finally present a full EP with their unique approach to electronic music on Dirt Crew Recordings. Since their debut on 'HEIST' in 2016 Xaver and Oliver have consistently pushed their sound and production, on their own OUER imprint they released four EP's up till now and the latest called 'E' is just a few weeks old as we speak. The A side opens with the title track 'Stingray Nebula', a bliss composition of layered arpeggios underlined by a deep sub bass, building steadily towards etheric strings setting in and descending again with a break beat ending that builds perfect grounds for the following dance floor stomper 'Undine'. That second A side track is a great mix of Deep House and Electronica and is what makes OUER's music so special, almost entering trance territories here but keeping those Chicago and Detroit references alive. When we head over to the B side we encounter some new tracks that really made us want to release this EP in the first place. The beautiful 'Thales' contains live bass and percussive instrumentation and is a crossover indie-tronica gem. Following that is the deep 'Inside' where an 'emo' piano themed House jam meets clever vocal sampling and filtered synth stabs to produce a great going groove. Closing out we have some real ambience electronica for you in 'Train Ride to Bratsk', again played mostly live and using acoustic instruments recorded in their Berlin studio the OUER guys are crossing borders again and turned out this piece of goodness. Originally released on Verve and her only full length Christmas album for the label, it features arrangements by the great Frank DeVol who worked with a who's who of 50s/60s pop and jazz vocalists from Nat King Cole and Sarah Vaughan to Tony Bennett and Dinah Shore. Upon examining the eventful life of Can bassist Holger Czukay, one might
conclude that this intrepid musician was a loner. His turbulent career exuded
an enduring eccentricity governed by a boundless free spirit. Yet Czukay,
who passed away unexpectedly last year at the age of 79, constantly
emphasized that his creativity was always contingent upon a musical
partner, whether that was a skin-and-bones counterpart or an anonymous
manifestation that interacted with him through radio waves or, as happened
ater, the internet. Nonetheless, most of his partners were of flesh and
blood.
His oeuvre, which is in itself cinematic in nature, boasts a cast worthy of a
Martin Scorsese film. Only the most interesting character actors were cast:
Brian Eno, Phew, Rolf Dammers, David Sylvian, Annie Lennox, Jah Wobble,
his Can bandmates... the list could go on and on.
Many of these masterpieces are now out of print, so Groenland Records,
who already released the highly acclaimed retrospective 'CINEMA' to mark
he occasion of Holger's 80th birthday at the beginning of the year, has
aken it upon themselves to release reissues of Holger's music in order to
make it accessible once again.

Poker Flat Recordings drop a new four track EP from Greek Techno / House producer Thanasis Voulgaris. Under his Kindimmer moniker, Voulgaris has been putting out quality dancefloor music since 2010, including a handful of releases already for Steve Bug's iconic Poker Flat label. 'Merge', the title track sets the tone with a killer, propulsive rhythm, adding chopped up organ stabs and shuffling funky percussion. 'Swift Changes' has a similar deft touch, all slinky chords that bring about thoughts of the classic Detroit sound, while adding his own signature take. 'It's Coming' is a little harder, with a booming kick and tricky hats, before opening up into another deep bomb that will keep the more discerning floors in raptures. 'Ride With Me' flexes its funk - the groove jacks a little harder and the vibe is definitely ready to make the basements sweat.
