Dope On Plastic a fresh new name in the jungle scene hauling from New York, but already making big waves among labels and DJ's across the pond in UK and Europe, with their ruff oldskool sounds and absolutely mental break choppage!
Definitely one to watch out for and happy to have their first release be on the Ruff 'N Tuff label.

This first single is not only available on digital platforms,
but also as a 7” record on a limited edition press,
with Tiempos Ruff on the A side and its instrumental riddim version on the B side.

For the sixth release of Stolen Goods Records, Lele Sacchi welcomes back Rogue D and Ruff Stuff for the first ‘B2B’ EP on the label, a shared release consisting of five top draw house tracks following their appearance on the Stolen Goods VA that launched the label in 2022.
First up, Snatch! & Classic Music Company artist Rogue D unveils ‘The Vibe’, a track of real style featuring the voice from London mainstay Joe Le Groove. The track is remixed by JOB AKA Jack On Black, an alias of Joe Le Groove and Jib Rafill, who join forces to infuse the original’s deep and groovy classic house vibes with acidsoaked psychedelica. Next, Ruff Stuff kicks off the B-side with ‘The Gathering’, a slow-burning chugger with smooth chord stabs and a
retro vocal sprinkled on top. This is before the Sloth Boogie, Shall Not Fade and !K7 artist finishes on ‘Brighter Mood’, a high-energy dub and acid track destined for late evenings and early mornings.

Ruff Stuff teams up with Bress Underground for a long-awaited return to SB... a new collection of Deep House tracks of the highest order from these Italian House Heads. 'Foundations' is a steam roller of a track calling on Ruff Stuff’s love for Mr.G, with some tasty French House accents adding a nice funk factor. 'Sliding Sine' makes us wanna go felt pelt on an Autobahn with its rich bass stabs under late night synth echoes with tough drum programming.

Bress Underground comes aboard to collab on the next two tracks and makes his presence felt. 'The Community' is a punchy gospel House cut with crackling vocal samples and trippy chord patterns. 'Something About It' closes the EP with expertly chopped vocals and jacked out grooves, more catchy chords, and some irresistible rolllllling London style bass.

Die Drum ’n‘ Bass Pioniere Chase & Status melden sich am 27.Oktober 2023 mit einem neuen Album zurück! Jaheim H. Hoagland, known professionally just as Jaheim, is best described as an R&B singer, but as all his releases are post millennium, the term has a different usage now to the style of the 50s/60s/70s that once used the genre. A resident of Hillsborough Township, New Jersey, and the grandson of 1960s soul singer Hoagy Lands which gives him Cuban, African and Native American blood, plus a fine musical heritage.

His recording career started with Divine Mill Records (a division of Warner Bros. Records) and his debut album “Ghetto Love” was released in 2001 to great acclaim. His follow-up album “Still Ghetto” (2002) spawned two hit singles, “Put That Woman First” and “Fabulous”, that both went platinum, and his third album “Ghetto Classics” (2006) topped the US Billboard chart selling over 153,000 copies in its first week. He then was signed to Atlantic Records in 2007 and his success continued with another three albums, and his final album to date, “Struggle Love” (2016) was released through BMG on his own label Julie’s Dream. To date he has received three Grammy nominations and sold over 5 million records worldwide.

The tracks selected for their 7” debuts are “Just In Case”, which was from the 20-track album “Ghetto Love” and did actually get released on a 12” being a massive favourite at the more progressive soul events, and “Diamond In Da Ruff” from “Still Ghetto”, which was also released on 12” vinyl.

Ruff Jam is an exciting new artist that i invited to the label during the first lockdown of 2020, hence the track name being featured. Using traditional methods of production featuring hardware, all of the featured tracks sound authentic to the 90s.

All killers and no fillers on this fabulous 1969 Motown masperpiece.

It is a shame that Jimmy lived in the shadow of those other Motown singers such as Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. It really is one of Motown's best albums!

Mica Levi is a musician and composer living in
South East London who uses programming
software, written notation and improvisation to
produce music. They are currently a member of
the groups CURL, Good Sad Happy Bad and
Tirzah and have composed scores for a number of
films including Under The Skin, Jackie, Monos,
Zola and Mangrove (part of the Small Axe series).
‘Blue Alibi’ is the second album Mica has released
under their own name. Vinyl edition released
concurrently alongside first album ‘Ruff Dog’.

The longtime portuguese dj-producer Dedy Dread lands on DJ's CHOICE label for his first full-on original production. "Don't Wanna Wake Up" kicks off the collaboration with the soulful Hawaiian-born singer Olivia Ruff, a velvety warm r'n'b banger which will certainly tear through the airwaves.
