Air is a cosmic journey into Franck's synthetic drum sounds, passing thru his famous Space Echo 201 made back in the days by Roland..the machine got some natural errors and goes with the tape delay feelings.. it's all about movements and space rythms here.Christal is using the famous 909 drum machine and 808 toms.. this one goes very deep into our mind with strange vocals wich Franck got the secret to play with, it's a sentimental and emotionnal song, cute for some people but very relaxing after all to complete this Ep.My name is was originaly out on Franck's RealTone Records imprint. It came out with two different versions.The track received some good feedbacks and plays so far and our dear friend Berlin based Alexkid came back to us with his own edit and we definitly loved it but we were very busy with the releases.. This edit has been lost in our hard drives and now Franck is more than happy to give it a new life.

As one of the album's most highlighted cuts, DSCHUNA gets the royal treatment by Innervisions head and internationally revered selector DIXON who proves his strong command of the dance floor with a hypnotic ride that surrounds the soaring sounds of the original with tribal- esque vocals. The instrumental version drops the chants, but retains the enchantment, all elegant rhythm and gorgeous strings. Versatile's I:CUBE, legendary producer and DJ in its own right, brings a distinctly Parisian touch to the spectral SKORBUT, whose sci-fi-imbued widescreen aura gets reimagined as laser-gun-wielding space funk machine. "Fear Of An Extra Planet (Blackout)' in particular, has the potential to become a monumental club hit. The title track from the new EXTRAWELT album is, strictly speaking, more than just a maxi-version, it's almost a separate EXTRAWELT remix of the original, fully optimized for the clubs. Arne Schaffhausen and Wayan Raabe have let loose a real bass and drum monster on us. From the very first second, the doubled-up kick bursts from the bassbins to signal the journey into this new EXTRAWELT adventure is underway. "An einem Samstag im Februar hatte ich eine großartige Nacht als DJ im Oval Space in London. In der Mitte meines Sets brachte ich '1-4 Doctor C'est Chouette'. Ein Fan kam zur DJ-Kanzel um mich zu fragen was ich spielte. Als ich ihm sagte, daß es einer meiner neuen Tracks sei, erwiderte er - zu meiner Überraschung - 'Da ist soviel Melancholie in dem Track, woran hast du gedacht als du ihn gemacht hast' Seine Frage traf einen tiefsitzenden Nerv: er verstand was ich gefühlt habe, als ich den Track machte - ist das nicht, worum's in der Musik geht Aber muss ich ihm wirklich die ganze Geschichte erzählen Es war weder die Zeit noch der Ort um ein tiefsinniges Gespräch anzufangen, also lächelte ich ihn einfach nur an und dankte ihm für seinen Enthusiasmus.

Aphex Twin aka Richard D. James meldet sich mit der fantastischen "Cheetah EP" zurück, auf der er mit deepem und melodischem Techno und Acid im Früh-90er-Style überrascht. Benannt ist die EP nach dem Synthesizer Cheetah MS800, eines der am schwierigsten zu programmierenden Instrumente der Welt, mit dem Richard die meisten dieser Tracks aufnahm. Das Artwork ist ebenfalls im 90er-Retro-Style gehalten.

Wiederveröffentlichung von Mobys fünftem Studio-Album als Doppel-LP-Set mit 180g schwerem Vinyl. Ursprünglich 1999 veröffentlicht, wurde es zum erfolgreichsten Indie-Album des Jahres und in über 20 Ländern mit Platin ausgezeichnet. Mit "Play" änderte Moby seine Arbeitsweise ein weiteres Mal. Er nahm Samples aus Folk und Gospel - viele davon entstammen aus dem Archiv von Alan Lomax - und verbindet diese mit seinen elektronischen Klanglandschaften. Dabei schneidet er aus den Samples Schleifen, die er endlos wiederholt: Bessie Jones "Sometimes" wird in "Honey" über 20 Mal wiederholt und so entfaltet er den hypnotischen Sog, der diesen Song zum Hit machte. Bei Erscheinen wendeten sich viele Moby-Fans, die ein Techno-Album erwartet hatten, ab und das Album schaffte es nicht bedeutend in den Charts aufzutauchen.
