Eclection’s lack of commercial success remains a mystery to this day. This selection of BBC Top Gear recordings demonstrates their song-writing strength and musical prowess. Only three tracks appeared on the band’s sole studio LP: the remaining nine songs suggest what a second LP might have sounded like. Highly recommended to fans of Fairport Convention, with whom Eclection share some musical DNA.

In the early 2000’s, David Coker, Timmy S and Justin Bailey were right at the heart of the UK tech house scene, producing some of the finest classics the genre has known to date. The projects they worked on together quickly became standout staples and over time those records have turned into proper collector’s pieces.

This reissue on Endell Street brings back one of their most sought after releases. It features the two main tracks from the original release, both carefully remastered and cut one per side. A long lost slice of UK tech house, brought back to life.

Kerouac presents a captivating five-track vinyl-only EP on Murmurations, showcasing groove-rich basslines, intricate percussion and deep rhythmic textures into a dancefloor-ready package. The A-side kicks off with "Gravity", a hypnotic excursion of looping stabs and rolling percussion, before sliding into "Active Meditation", a deep, driving cut built on smooth stabs and an elastic bassline. The flip opens with "Official Line", a tumbling low-end roller with layered vocal chops and crisp percussion. "Chugs" lives up to its name, a relentless groove packed with vocal hooks and a thick, chugging bass. Finally, "Too Sea Bee" winds things down with warm chord progressions and a funky, laid-back vibe that leaves a lasting glow.

The story that underlines on the deep levels of the artist cannot be said & done with a few words. It has to be discussed and aknowleged by the the most intricate ways of human wholesomeness and the connection of the art that we call sound. Human Collapse has been created with love for a human life but at the same time understanding that we are collapsing as a society in one way or another, whenever we chasing the material things or feeling absolute content and secure with minumum the world is giving us. Humanity Collapse is all about experiencing it together wrapped in an idea that we’ll be able to understand. The final track of the B side is taken by truly incredible artistic force called Charlou. The deep mind from France has taken his view on the subject with an insatiable musical acknowlegedment.

Zuperflex Records from Frankfurt is back. The label from Oskar Offermann and Porco Rosso aka Luca Hartz features a release from Oskar himself.

After a more Italo-influenced EP on Vass’s The Comfort label last year Mr Offermann hits with some old school rumble Tech vibes on Zuperflex. While the A-Side follows a more contemporary approach, the B embraces more imperfection and the maximization of the the old-school.

The new 12" release, "Call and Response", by the enigmatic artist MD, is a masterclass in the resurgence of retro techno, bridging the gap between the raw industrialism of early 90s Detroit and a modern, high-fidelity punch. The A-side is defined by its massive, anthemic vibes, built around a thundering TR-909 kick and a soaring, crystalline synth lead that feels both nostalgic and startlingly fresh. What truly sets this record apart, however, is its intricate counterpoint structure; rather than relying on simple loops, MD weaves multiple independent melodic lines together in a rhythmic dance of tension and release. The "call" begins as a jagged, percussive stab that is immediately answered by a "response" of lush, interlocking minor-key arpeggios, creating a sense of constant movement and architectural depth. B From E presents Surreal, a new EP on Baldo's Physical Education. The release brings a groovy club sound, mixing tech house rhythms with funky and electric elements. Across the record, B From E plays with tight drums, warm basslines and catchy synths designed for the dancefloor.
