Berlin party series and label AWAY Music continues its limited vinyl series called "Reissued", dedicated to re-releasing iconic cuts from the vast collaborative catalog of Move D & Pete Namlook. The second installment "Reissued 2", which follows the series' inaugural EP from 2019, features again some exceptional pieces that were previously only available on CD.


Move D and Pete Namlook are electronic visionaries whose 26-album relationship explored and intertwined psychedelic synthscapes, deep house and techno, future jazz, and downtempo on Namlook's cult imprint Fax Records. Their innovative and influential works keep inspiring electronic music producers today, showcasing their willingness to collaborate and push the boundaries of electronic music.


"Silk Route Part 1", which comes from their 2008 album "Travelling The Silk Route", occupies the A-side with a 12-minute journey full of jazz-infused ambient soundscapes meeting oriental melodies with sophisticated percussion patterns. A truly immersive listening experience!

On the flip, "Sleeplearnin'" was described as psycho-active electronica when it first came out on the "Sons of Kraut" album 17 years ago. Translated, we're talking about minimal house that carries their warm trademark sound, enriched by pulsating echoes, space noises, and relapsing vocoder shreds. It conveys the pair's unique energy that embraces the improvisational moment to create a hypnotic flow that's nothing but timeless.


"Reissued 2" is a true testament to the innovative spirit and pioneering work of Move D and Pete Namlook. With these tracks now available on vinyl for the first time, AWAY's limited series is a must-have for old and new fans alike.

Brussels-based producer Sagat’s highly anticipated debut album ‘Silver Lining’ lands on Vlek Records. Sagat takes us on a deep dive into a dense sonic universe: It’s bass music viewed from multiple vantage points, an explorative zoom onto contemporary dance music’s broad ranging cadences, paradoxically viewed from a distance. Silver lining bathes in cluttering rhythms that hover over corroded thumping grooves. Poly chrome synths emerge dramatically, interlocking with oddly timed techno syncopations. Yet all tracks are held together by firm, dubbed out beat repetitions and slabs of sub bass, not without a melodic sense of drama. Sagat’s disintegrated sound-design stands in between musical dichotomies, at once spaced-out, disorienting and emotive, but also explorative, colourful and full of tension. Moving, yet statuesquely standing idle. Silver Lining is an album longing for the dancefloor, but also about disconnection from it: A highly personal presentation of this producers’ singular take on bass oriented club music. From our standing point we love to see how Sagat’s music keeps evolving, toying with contemporary club music’s specific tropes, unbound by its normativeness. Silver lining is an album rich in contrast that works for personal listening experience as well as for the adventurous DJ with one foot firmly on the dancefloor, the other somewhere way out there.

x2 Gatefold Black LP Vinyl - Recorded during Pearl Jam’s Melbourne Park show on March 5, 1998 during the Australian tour in support of their 3rd studio album Yield, the highly sought after Give Way will be released on vinyl for the first time. The 17-track album will be a 2LP gatefold on black vinyl including live versions of “Given To Fly,” “Faithfull,” and “Do The Evolution”. The title Give Way is a nod to the Australian counterpart to the United States Yield sign.

A musical project that was very close to the heart of Jon Lord. High-quality British blues at its finest. In 2010, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group, Hardin & York) asked Jon to join a concert that was named the Rhythm & Blues Allstars. As a result of having incredibly good time together, the band decided to form the Jon Lord Blues Project. Six successful musicians, old friends who have known each other since the 60s and 70s and whose musical past reads like the "Who's Who" of blues and rock music history: Deep Purple, Spencer Davis Group, Chris Rea, Whitesnake and many more. Recorded at the Rottweil Jazz Festival in 2011, Jon Lord, Miller Anderson, Maggie Bell, Colin Hodgkinson, Zoot Money and Pete York presented classic blues songs as well as contemporary compositions, such as by Deep Purple and Tom Waits. Mainstream is the third and final studio album by Lloyd Cole and the Commotions. It was produced by Ian Stanley and released by Polydor Records in the UK and by Capitol Records in the US on 26 October 1987. It included the singles "My Bag", "Jennifer She Said" and "From the Hip".

This re-issue faithfully replicates the original 1985 Polydor Records UK release with printed inner sleeve and is pressed onto high quality 180g vinyl.

A song about longing and adolescent heartache that's perfect for any post-breakup kleenex session.

FFV: Watain, Dissection, Behemoth, Rotting Christ

Die Lead-Sängerin, der isländischen Multi-Platin-Band „Of Monsters and Men”, kündigt ihr Solo-DebütAlbum „How To Start A Garden“ an. Zusammen mit Aaron Dessner (Taylor Swift) und Josh Kaufmann
(Bonny Light Horseman) wurde das Album in den New Yorker Long Pond Studios aufgenommen. Insgesamt enthält das Werk 11 Tracks, darunter „Crybaby“, die zweite Veröffentlichung nach „Godzilla“, die
einen ersten Einblick in das Album bieten. Beide Songs schrieb Nanna in einer kleinen Hütte außerhalb ihrer Heimatstadt Reykjavík auf Island. Dabei beeinflusste „Crybaby“ die Platte mit am meisten.
„Viele Dinge mussten enden, damit dieses Album zu dem wurde, was es ist“, sagte Nanna und widmet das Album der Freude am Neuanfang. „How To Start A Garden“ befindet sich genau in diesem Zwischenzustand.

Mit drei beeindruckenden und weltweit erfolgreichen Alben schrieb die „Of Monsters and Men“-Sängerin ein Solo-Debüt-Album, das ihrer Meinung nach auf ihre ganz eigene Art und Weise geliefert werden musste und auf das man gespannt sein darf.

Drawing influences from Doom, Psychedelia, Post- Metal, and Grunge, Burial Clouds' well crafted songwriting is ambitious in sonic scope. Heavy without being cliche, complex without falling into self-indulgence and epic without pretension.

Burial Clouds were originally an instrumental band, but have recently been joined on vocals by actor/ musician Michael Malarkey (Vampire Diaries, Project Blue Book). With this addition the band have reached a new level of expansiveness through Malarkey's crooning blues-esque vocals and blistering screams.

He slowly but steadily builds his songs into rewarding crescendos, filled with both melancholia and cheeriness and always entrenched in catchy melodies.

Repetitive and intriguing, playful but sincere. Sandqvist takes us on a musical trip to northern and rural Bergvik, once home of the world's biggest sulphite factory but now left with a population of just a few hundred people, country houses and beautiful views combined with industrial footprints.

Swedish alternative rock group Bring the Hoax are set to release their
debut studio album "Single Coil Candy" in May 2023.

Combining sweet melodies with fuzzed out guitars into colorful, energetic, and dynamic rock music, the album contains the four tracks from Bring the Hoax's self titled EP from 2022 (previously only released digitally) plus six new, until now unreleased songs. Produced and recorded by the band members themselves, the album offers massive soundscapes inspired by the punk-, indie- and grunge-era
of the 90s'. Mai und enthält eine weitere unvergleichliche Sammlung von Songs, die Collins ausgewählt hat, die meisten aus traditionellen Quellen, andere von ihren Lieblingsautoren.
Shirley Collins ist mit ihren 88 Jahren zumindest im Vergleich zu den Liedern die sie singt noch ein junges Mädchen. Die Urheber vieler ihrer Lieder waren oft in einem ählichen Alter, als sie in den 1950er und 60er Jahren bekannt gemacht und aufgenommen wurden. Heute beansprucht Shirley den Status der Älteren und der Wahrerin der Tradition, so, wie sie es einst taten, als sie Shirley als helläugiges, lockiges Mädchen aus Sussex anleiteten. Seither scheint sie sich kaum verändert zu haben. Sie strahlt noch immer dieses pflichtbewusste und doch schelmische, lebhafte, jugendliche Funkeln aus, das auf den Titelbildern der frühen Alben zu sehen ist. Niemand sonst kennt alte Lieder so gut wie Shirley Collins und webt bei jeder Aufführung einen neuen genetischen Code, eine neue Offenbarung, eine neue Perspektive in sie ein. Aber Shirleys Zauber besteht nicht nur in der Beschwörung von Liedern, sondern auch in der Beschwörung des Landes. Es gibt eine stille Muse in dieser Platte, die von der Kreide der South Downs durchdrungen ist, der Landschaft, die sich in die Knochen von Collins' eingegraben hat. Archangel Hill ist zu Ehren von Shirleys Stiefvater benannt, der den Mount Caburn, ein Wahrzeichen in der Nähe von Collins' Haus in Lewes, Archangel Hill nannte.

Mit ihrem neuen Album „Code Red“ schlägt die deutsche Hard Rock Band DEVICIOUS aus Karlsruhe ein neues Kapitel auf. 2017 gegründet, veröffentlichen sie nun ihr 5. Album in fünf Jahren. Nach einigen Klangexperimenten auf dem Vorgängeralbum „Black Heart“ kehren sie nun zurück zu ihren Wurzeln, zu dem, was sie am besten können. Große Arena-Melodien kombiniert mit bombastischen Chorarrangements und einer großen Produktion.
Das Album wurde von Bandleader und Songwriter Alex Frey selbst produziert und in den Mastersound Entertainment Studios in
Steinheim, Deutschland von Alexander Krull gemischt und gemastert. Er ist der Hauptakteur hinter den Bands ATROCITY und LEAVE’S EYES sondern steht auch auf der Producer- und Mastering-Liste von Bands wie ATROCITY, LEAVE’S EYES, DORO, CREMATORY, VELVET VIPER oder ZAR. Das neue Kapitel von DEVICIOUS beinhaltet auch einen neuen Sänger. Antonio Calanna verließ die Band nach dem letzten Album auf freundschaftlicher Basis, um sich auf andere Projekte zu konzentrieren. Sein Nachfolger ist niemand geringerer als der ehemalige TNT-Sänger Baol Bardot Bulsara, der bereits
auf dem „Black Heart“-Album einige Backing-Vocals gesungen hat und bei einigen Black Heart-Headliner-Shows an Bord war. Mit Baol ist die Band flexibler, da er eine breitere Bandbreite hat und alles von melodischen Balladen bis hin zu Power Metal-Melodien singen kann.

Mit „Code Red“ liefern DEVICIOUS ihr bisher kraftvollstes und ausgereiftestes Werk ab. Ein melodisches Meisterwerk mit allen DEVICIOUS-Markenzeichen.

Fuzzybrains' Debütalbum The Less I Know ist ein Indie Pop-Album, dem man die Spontaneität seiner Entstehung im besten Sinne anhört
The Less I Know ist der Titel von Fuzzybrains Debütalbum und auch beim Sound ist darauf weniger oft mehr. Dass das Album in den Wohnzimmern des Duos Amalia Hauser und Benjamin Steiger aufgenommen wurde ist aufgrund des eindringlich-klaren Klangs schon alleine technisch beeindruckend.

Noch mehr Spuren aber hinterlässt die dadurch entstandene intime Atmosphäre, die manchmal das Gefühl vermittelt, als würde man heimlich lauschen und den beiden unbemerkt über die Schulter schauen. Trotz der schwierigen Themen strahlen diese Songs Zuversicht aus, sie geben sich den Problemen, den Ängsten und Schwierigkeiten nicht hin, sondern möchten Wege zeigen, damit umzugehen.

Denn die sparsamen, sanften Klavierstücke haben mehr mit Erik Satie, Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guébrou und den "Marginalia"-Veröffentlichungen von Masakatsu Takagi gemeinsam als mit einem gemütlichen Date-Abend bei Kerzenschein. Doch in dieser Frechheit liegt eine verborgene Absicht: In dem wunderschönen Set wird "Romantik" in einem eher klassischen Sinne suggeriert, was die Deutschen als Waldeinsamkeit bezeichnen. Die Kompositionen beschwören die erhabenen Themen der romantischen Dichter herauf: Einsamkeit in der Natur, die Fähigkeit der Natur zu heilen und zu lehren, ein Gefühl von zufriedener Melancholie. "Ich wollte Musik machen, die nützlich ist", sagt Margaret und untertreibt damit gewaltig die Kraft der Platte. Romantic Piano ist neugierig, beruhigend, geduldig und unglaublich bewegend - aber es verweilt nicht länger als eine Sekunde. Margarets Debütalbum There's Always Glimmer war ein lyrisches Wunderwerk, aber als sie wegen einer Krankheit auf Tournee nicht mehr singen konnte, nahm sie ihr Ambient-Album "Mia Gargaret" (ein weiterer frecher Titel!) auf, das ein feines Gespür für Arrangement und Komposition zeigte, das bei den lyrischen Songs von There's Always Glimmer nicht voll zum Tragen kam. Auch Romantic Piano kommt fast ganz ohne Worte aus. "Das Schreiben von Instrumentalmusik ist im Allgemeinen ein viel freudigerer Prozess als das Schreiben von Lyrics und wirkt sich letztlich auf mein Songwriting aus.", sagt sie. Romantic Piano festigt sie als kompositorische Kraft. Ursprünglich hatte Margaret einen Abschluss in Komposition angestrebt, brach die Musikschule aber auf halbem Weg ab. "Ich wollte wirklich nicht in einem Orchester spielen", sagt sie über ihre Entscheidung, "ich wollte eigentlich nur Filmmusik schreiben. Dann begann ich, mich mehr und mehr darauf zu konzentrieren, eine Songschreiberin zu sein." As well as working on his own productions Ashanti makes use of his musical abilities as a performer in various bands as keyboardist and has had the pleasure of working and collaborating with a number of great singers, musicians & producers in the scene- such as; Vivian Jones, Mad Professor & Alpha Steppa, to name but a few.

re:discovery records is proud to release for the first time, a vinyl edition of 'Two Zeroes' by Grain for it's 25th anniversary.

Grain was a west coast project that emerged out of the psychedelic music and art scenes in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. After a few of their tracks were featured on the key chill out compilations United State of Ambience 1&2 and Excursions in Ambience
and many local live performances, they released two ep's on local labels. Shortly after in 1998, 'Two Zeroes' the full length project appeared. A west coast chill out classic that unfortunately did not get much disribution outside the west coast let alone to the world.

To classify this album is very hard. Think early Jammin Unit with a touch of the Orb and dash of west coast breakbeat and chill out styles and you still can't fully pin it down. A unique album that sonically, was leaps and bounds ahead of most albums in this style thanks to sound designer, audio instalation architect, scientist and artist Jimmy Johnson along with illustrator and fellow sonic artist Peter Ehrlich. Featured on double vinyl with updated artwork by the original designer, Kevin Hanley and presented on beautiful gatefold with a shimmering silver vinyl to match.
