Tominori Hosoya has been producing music under his name sake and Tomi Chair for a number of years now. Known for his uplifting and inspiring house tracks. Tomi makes his Stasis Recordings label debut with this sweet 7” single. Two luscious, atmospheric, downtempo selections for easy poolside chilling.

Another deep dive into the Steve Pickton DAT archive brings us this gem from the golden age of UK Techno. Not previously credited as a Stasis outing this 4 track EP was originally released in 1995 as a limited run white label and stamped Sugar Plum (with Fat Boy Funk etched into the run out groove).

Each track builds with Steve’s signature Detroit inspired beats and chunky bass lines and those trademark ethereal pads eventually release the tension. Raw and powerful these are classic machine edged productions from a UK Techno pioneer.

Following up on his fantastic full length from a couple years ago, Adriano Mirabile continues to bring forth that down tempo and mid-tempo organic house mood and chillout lounge atmosphere blend with his productions. Side A we get the original Traumfänger tracks showcasing all that we've loved from the get about what Adriano brings to our imprint. Side B offers up two reinterpretations courtesy of Aus Music recording artist, Lee Jones, and Stasis Recordings mainstay, Sanderson Dear. Both take the chillout and bump up the pulse a bit with their techy flare.

Belgian progressive post-hardcore quintet Hippotraktor have announced their second full-length album, `Stasis'. The combination of impressionistic songwriting ambitions and powerful, narrative-charged lyrics proved to be a perfest match for the band so far. Operating at the intersection of Meshuggah's relentless, polyrhythmic pounding and Gojira's colossal atmospheric weight, Hippotraktor have expanded upon their already distinctive sound by introducing De Graef's vocals that bring with them an intriguing new dedication to musical storytelling. "Stasis tells a story of human nature," explains lead vocalist Stefan De Graef about the album's narrative. "As the protagonist enters a new world in which he is confronted with other humans for the first time, he acquaints himself with their customs and ethics, discovering generosity and empathy, but also greed, jealousy and hatred." Taken from the Greek for `stoppage', `Stasis' sees Hippotraktor doing anything but stagnating. Hippotraktor chart intricate melodies and sprawling riffs as a map showing how humanity has come of age in a chaotic world of its own making. Legendary UK techno pioneer Steve Pickton compiles a stunning collection of DAT tape excerpts from the Otherworld studio sessions. Recorded between 1992-1996, this collection represents the peak of the Stasis sound. An in-depth masterclass of emotive techno and simply a must-have for any true techno enthusiast.

SubDan effortlessly composes within the chillout genre running the gamut on style and feel in his music. For his vinyl debut Dan flexes his drum & bass background with this luscious 4-track EP.

Given the respective outputs of committed ambient explorers and sound designers zake (best known for releasing no less than five fine albums in 2019) and 36 (most recently seen on A Strangely Isolated Place with the superb album "Fade To Grey"), you'd expect this trip into aural deep space to be rather good. It is of course, with the four tracks mixing echoing sonic tones and drifting sound effects with slow-burn electronic melodies and the kind of immersive, sustained chords that were once the preserve of German maestro Pete Namlook. The third track in the suite, appropriately titled 'Stage 3', is little less than stunning, in part because of its grandiose, almost classical intent. No surprise to discover, then, that after a stretch of being out of print it's back via a reissue, this version being a limited clear vinyl edition.

We welcome Stasis to De:tuned! UK techno pioneer Steve Pickton has dug deep into his DAT tapes collection to unearth 2 previously unreleased recordings from the golden era '92-'93. Both rarities offer a trademark lush and retro-futurist Detroit inspired sound that is totally unique. Fellow Likemind legend Nuron provides a stunning remix. The track was built up from scratch as no stems were available, giving you another sneak peek of the genius musical mind that is Nuron.

Stasis covers a range from my first encounter with this synthesizer to performances where I have grown more accustomed to it. Each piece developed its own structure whilst playing and exploring the instrument. During later visits to the studio, I expanded the spectrum on tracks II an VIII with two ARP 2600s and an analog tape machine. Stasis grew into a document where I aimed for the music to feel close, stripped to its essentials and saved from the whims of editing and vast processing.

A trio of tunes from Diahgonal’s brilliant debut LP “Spiral” gets remixed by label mates for this Special 12”. We’ve packed a sonic spectrum into this release: a tech-house shaker from Adriano Mirabile,
autonomic goodness from Driftsystem, ambient soundscape from Louis Haiman, abstract IDM chillage from Maps Of Hyperspace, and tribal techno tones from Robert Roos.

The mantra from day one has been striking a balance between the nightlife sound system and the living room listening experience. Time Capsule celebrates ten years of this ethos in a gorgeous 10x7" boxset.

From the subtle rhythmic brush strokes of South American music to the sounds of Bern’s underground scene. Mirabile Dictu pulls from those spheres of influence and more to succinctly capture the translation of Adriano’s surname perfectly.

After a short hiatus Maps Of Hyperspace returns with his sophomore followup to "Superspace". "Against All Ends" folds elements of drone, dubtechno, and spatial ambience, into a snug ohm meditative blanket and slow burns like an incense stick.

‘Thema’ was recorded in 2018 by Alexi Baris from Vancouver, BC Canada. This LP features depictions of micro organisms squirming under the lens as well as the interior (travelling?) world of the person looking into it, so like “lives in relief”.

Beyond the mechanically lurching, magnified phytoplankton – glimpses of satisfaction, natural harbour echo, a creaking research boat bow cutting waves, transitory sounds.

With half a dozen releases under his belt Glo Phase moves his warm analog shuffles into the wax frontier with this 7" single of downtempo jams.

Two minds on a sonic rendezvous best describes our first split release. Off Land and Diahgonal swap remixing duties on each other’s respective songs. Aegirine from Off Land’s On Earth album undergoes a mild mood shift once put thru Diahgonal’s lens flare. Movement B from Diahgonal’s Spiral album gets an ambient makeover courtesy of Off Land.

Louis captures the secret life of techno in all his compositions. On Metronomik, his stripped 808 grooves emulate the harsh time keeping of life',s metronome. Warm, gentle washes and
thoughtful melodies remind us of who we are in this time/space. Ideal for home listening or inspired movement.

Pulsating Drum & Bass creations full of swirling atmospherics, paranoid sample mangling, and melancholy pads aptly describes the material showed in Driftsystem's debut EP.
Inspired by worldwide 170bpm experimentation, droning ambience, and techno hypnosis. Driftsystem is the distillation of nearly 20 years in the music matrix as a dj, promoter, and producer of underground sonics.

Just Breathe gets spotlighted on the A-side with two remixes. First up, Maps Of Hyperspace grafts his brand of dubby ambience to Simon's instrumentation for trippy chill house goodness. Off Land strips back the beats and ups the ambient bandwidth on his version to close out the side.

The B-side kicks off with Soul Solution, one of Mr. Huxtable's trademark lusicous atmospheric house tracks. Adriano Mirabile brings his techy production stylest o the desk on Fall Of Stars to wrap things.
