To take it even further, it’s exactly six tracks for the sixth part of the VA-series that is One Swallow Doesn’t Make A Summer.

Rave signals by Ede foil the nouveau disco by Stereocalypse or Storken & Hammer, Llewellyn does a classic house piano hop, Zilles On Acid deliver, well. mid-tempo acid, and last, but not least, Señor Chugger & Count Van Delicious strike a delicious pose.

Summer and the seventh part of Running Back‘s revered various artist series are here. This time consisting of five tracks across the spectrum of cunning and contemplative dance music. Taking over the a-side duties, Ricardo Baez and Josh Micky demonstrate the uncanny alliance of pianos and Italo bass lines for heavy modern disco hitters: high times, fun stuff. BSS‘ Jannis puts that concept on its head with a different kind of piano track. Hypnotic deep house minus all its cliché-ridden traps. Bryolfur and Running Back mainstay Storken opt for trippy and tricky disco with Twist, while Jonus Eric ticks all the IDM and brain dance boxes with Ribbon.
Easy to swallow and value for money.

Part 5 of the various artists series is at it again with 5 tracks by 5 different producers and a mixture of feel good party time music and contemplative music. You will hear familiar Running Back names like Storken (this time together with JStaaf) refining their comic tropes (or imagine Foreigner doing house music) next to newcomers like Archie Ward. His Pizza Girl puts musical toppings on a pounding underbelly that wouldn't be out of place in any warehouse, while Moritz and Amount dial it back a bit. Their respective tracks are gleaming with a special kind of elegant end-of-night euphoria that is hard to come by - and all the nicer if it happens. Remember: trance is a state of mind! Last but not least, Australia's Jonus Eric delivers an IDM-leaning piece of outsider dance. Hot soup, hot swallow!
