This volume "Caribbean Rare Groove" is an invitation to discover music from the cultural mix of the islands and countries located on the Caribbean Sea. From Haiti to the Bahamas via the French West Indies, this journey explores the traditional rhythms of Soca, Calypso or Biguine that musicians such as Gordon Henderson, Max Cilla or the group Skah-Shah have skilfully blended with Soul, Funk or Disco influences, creating a unique groove with multiple facets. AZOTO is a Celso Valli’s project, one of the most important exponents of Italo-disco. He pioneered the whole italo sound, with incredibly ahead of their time productions going right back back too ’70’s. “DISCO FIZZ” contain ‘San Salvador’, one of the most covered disco tracks of all time, which has reared its head under countless of remixes and cover versions, however if you dig a little deeper this album is packed full of incredible and timeless italo disco: ‘Anytime Or Place’ literally jumps out the speakers to get you moving, while ‘Exalt-Exalt’ showcases their take on the darker side of electronic disco. “DISCO FIZZ” bridging traditional disco from america ‘s 70s with the spaceage syntheziser/vocoder powered Italian brand of Disco that was beginning to invade with new innovations at that time (1979).

The record is officially reprinted on LP for the 1st time from original master tapes, and includes a sticker inside. A must-have for any DJs.

Snatch's label boss Riva Starr steps up to the plate to deliver delectable edits of two early 2000’s club classics. First, he joins forces with Mark Broom for a Star B extended remix of Bob Sinclair - I Feel For You with the duo looping the vocal hook and juiced up beat to maximum effect. The result is a star studded, disco house stomper.

On the flip Riva goes solo, offering up a tasty-and-cheeky edit of one of Groove Armada's most successful tracks to date, 'Superstylin'. Riva’s fresh-sounding rework features most of the original’s main ingredients but tweaked and manipulated to fit around a stomping new house groove.

Max Und Max is the new collaborative project from Maxime Fabre of Crystal Geometry and Roman techno pioneer Max Durante. Their debut release “World Clash” is questioning the role of music in our declining society. Entertainment has prostituted itself and money is killing art. They fght back to reclaim our subculture.

“Unconditional” is Serbian born Ana Popovic’s fifth studio album. Recorded in
New Orleans, it was released in August 2011 onEclecto Groove Records. The
album features some guest slideguitar work with the legendary Sonny Landreth.
Popovic statesin her liner notes that the title “Unconditional” is her
missionstatement and her state of being.

Groove Armada’s iconic Back To Mine compilation from the Millennium gets a long-awaited re-issue 22 years after its original release. As Groove Armada celebrate 25 years of touring with their final ever world live tour, which includes nine huge dates across the UK, it’s a chance to relive Groove Armada’s eclectic and expert curation.

The album, which was one of the biggest ever selling editions of the Back To Mine Series, will be available on double heavyweight vinyl for the first timers well as a limited collectors edition in Pumpkin orange. This release marks the first of many reissues of iconic Back To Mine titles.

Cult synth-pop album from 1984 repressed for the very first time. One of the most obscure Synth / Italo recordings from Germany with the Danny “Skorpio” Antonelli’s haunting vocals. Includes the obscure deep “Black Mercedes” and the hit “Long Hard Climb”. Limited edition.

LGR015 sees Locked Groove teaming up with Gacha Bakradze for “3 Variations Sur Un Thème”.

After linking up online in 2020, Gacha and Tim decided to join forces and make something they believe is truly special.

Gacha Bakradze hails from Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi. He has deservedly earned plaudits after releases on Apollo, Cin Cin, Die Orakel, Fever AM and Lapsus. Gacha regularly redefines his musical ideology; always bestowing it with mood based authenticity and excitement through rhythms and harmonies.

Just like Locked Groove, his musical output is diverse and always evolving, which makes them great collaborators.

Like the EP title suggests, the 3 tracks are loosely based on the same theme but explore different sonic landscapes.

Variation 1 opens the EP with skittish percussion and melodies weaving in and out. Variation 2 pushes the tempo to 150+ BPM with synth sounds reminiscing of rave years gone by. Variation 3 dials things back and provides a more subdued yet euphoric addition to the EP.

For the remix they’ve enlisted Deniro. The Dutch producer, known for his precise use of melody and rhythm delivers a soulful and timeless rendition of Variation 1.

The EP is due 10 June on all digital platforms and will also be available on vinyl from 20th May.
