Terminal Recordings launches with a four-track split release.

The A-side, produced by Luis Malon, delivering two cuts driven by heavyweight basslines, broken rhythms and machine-controlled tension. Make Shoot sets the system in motion with relentless groove and low-end pressure, while Inside Your System dives deeper into a darker, more hypnotic environment where fractured percussion and synthetic textures take control.

On the B-side, Molen takes over the signal with a pair of electro transmissions. Pathcord unfolds through precise sequencing, robotic funk and evolving circuitry, building a dynamic journey across interconnected rhythms. Codec closes the release with sharper frequencies, coded melodies and futuristic electro architecture designed for late-night dance floor communication.

Dark Entries is ecstatic to announce Terminal Fascination, a retrospective release of the music of Camille O’Grady, subversive artist, leather witch, punk poet, and gender saboteur. O’Grady cut her teeth in New York’s burgeoning punk scene at clubs like CBGB’s, where her band Leather Secrets would share the stage with acts like Television. She became one of the few women to be welcomed into the Mineshaft, Wally Wallace’s legendary Manhattan gay BDSM club. Towards the end of the 70s, she would trek west to San Francisco to be with her partner, performance artist and gallerist Robert Opel, who was tragically killed in 1979. O’Grady would pass away from COVID in 2020, with her voluminous works across various media - text, image, and sound - having been unpublished during her lifetime.

Working with O’Grady’s estate, Dark Entries has assembled thirteen of her finest recordings, including instant classics like “James Dean to the Rescue,” “Tourniquet,” and, of course, “Toilet Kiss.” Two songs, “Angel with a Key” and “Love Comes Like a Cutthroat,” were recorded at a studio in Los Angeles for a 7” release that never materialized, while the rest of the material was recorded live in 1979 at The Ambush, a San Francisco leather club. O’Grady’s songs, often written from the perspective of a gay man, explode like a genderfuck version of Patti Smith, like Buffy St. Marie in leather, like the hedonic utopianism of the 1960s dragged (blissfully) through the broken glass of the 1970s. The release of Terminal Fascination coincides with the publication of ‘A Cross-Worlds Angel,’ a 300-page book of O’Grady’s work by Phillip Zimmerman. The record includes an insert featuring liner notes, lyrics, and photographs. Celebrate Camille O’Grady, the artist Jack Fritscher described as an “earth mother, a leather lioness of the arts.”

Somewhere beyond familiar frequencies, Space Terminal opens the gates to a new transmission. The latest various artists compilation from Ovelha Trax assembles a selection of producers navigating the intersection of electro, breaks and machine-driven club music. Inspired by the aesthetics of science fiction, dystopian electronics and late-night warehouse energy, the record unfolds as a journey through fractured rhythms, powerful basslines and futuristic sound design. Each contribution offers a different perspective on contemporary electro. From razor-sharp drum programming and robotic funk to warped synth sequences, acid-infused textures and rolling breakbeats, Space Terminal moves between deep atmospheric moments and uncompromising peak-time pressure. While every artist brings their own sonic identity, the compilation remains unified by a shared vision: forward-thinking dance music built for powerful sound systems. This is the mission to an abandoned orbital station, where analogue machines continue broadcasting into the void and broken transmissions become dancefloor anthems. Drawing influence from Detroit electro, UK breakbeat and modern bass music, the release embraces both nostalgia and innovation without settling for either. Pressed on limited edition vinyl, Space Terminal is another chapter in Ovelha Trax’s ongoing mission to showcase uncompromising underground music from artists pushing electro and breaks into new dimensions. Words cannot describe how happy I am to finally return with my own music. It took me a long time to overcome my depressing state and to be able to be creative again.

I think every artist knows how it feels when you are blocked and cannot do music anymore, it is a very sad and frustrating feeling…. .

A big welcome to the french duo Cosmic Boys to Terminal M.

The debut full length album from Gloved Hands, entitled Empty Terminal, finds the musician straying from the dance floor in search of something amorphous and less tangible. Ambient in nature, the eight tracks that comprise the LP have a deep focus on texture, space, and human feelings rather than a need for constant propulsion and momentum.

The A-side, the more rhythmic and percussive of the two, is awash with vague echos and smudged, slow-moving chords. Subaqueous drums shift in and out of focus. Sound sources are at once distant and intimately close. The curtains part to reveal a glimpse of a crystalline melody or a fraction of a vocal phrase only for the room to fill with fragrant smoke and go dark. It is a place beyond the dance floor. Perhaps it's a place without any floor at all.

The B-side is even more fragile and diaphanous. The foreground and background are obscured, leaving a hazy mesh of delicate, interwoven forms and rhythms; glistening and brushing against one another in the warm, dimly-lit space in between. With a swirling mix of cavernous bass and sweet-but-never-saccharine melody, the details are stretched and abstracted into something new yet familiar. The compositions ripple in midair, appearing and vanishing, close but just out of reach.

Cologne duo Andhim look to kick off 2012 in the same blistering fashion as they did last year, with an exclusive new ep for Terminal M. The duo's "Like A Wirsing" was the catalyst for a successful twelve months and a run of releases and remixes that lead to Andhim on the way to the top of the tech-house peak.

Tone Def were one of the original batch of artists to sign to Moving Shadow back in 1991, who brought there early demos into the studio with label head honcho Rob Playford, releasing 4 records on the label between 91-92. At the same time Rog from the band was also building speakers and installing club and free party sound systems. His skills were unchallenged and he soon went on to be one of the top speaker/system makers in the UK, if not the world with his company Void Acoustics.

But not all the band’s music from back then ended up on Moving Shadow … some of it was lost to ¼” tape and forgotten about until 2019 when Vinyl Fanatiks reached out to the band, being that we are all Bournemouth based. Rog dug out the tapes and went through them, finding many tracks which have been released on Vinyl Fanatiks and sister label Acid Boom.

This is the final chapter of the lost tapes – two tracks written in 1992, finally getting a release after 31 years!
