Texas jazz, funk and soul group PHYREWORK were signed to Mercury Records in 1978 releasing an acclaimed self titled album. They measure up to the bands that inspired them: Sly and the Family Stone, Earth Wind & Fire, Tower of Power - to name a few.

PHYREWORK recorded a plethora of songs that went unreleased - this record documents the legacy of this brilliant band. We are proud to present eleven dazzling songs circa 1977 - 1982, nine of which are originally unreleased and two from the elusive early 80s 7” single.

We are honoured to have the liner notes written by David Ritz, author of the definitive books on Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, and many more.

Serpentskin is the dancefloor-oriented alias of Alison Lewis aka Zanias, fusing the sounds of trance and darkwave with her signature ethereal vocals and otherworldly textures to invoke a unique aural transcendence for the club environment. In her debut self-titled EP, Serpentskin presents five tracks that explore this new realm with varying degrees of euphoria and longing, from the rapturous 90sinspired ‘Basking in the Light at Heaven’s Gate’ to the melancholic pining of ‘Apparently Nothing’.

Im Juni 2023 teilten sich Lust For Youth und Croatian Amor während des Vivid Live Festivals die Bühne im kultigen Sydney Opera House. Diese Begegnung hat ihre kreative Partnerschaft wiederbelebt und den Grundstein für ihr gemeinsames neues Album "All Worlds" gelegt. Inspiriert von der Goldenen Schallplatte, die als Botschaft der Menschheit an das Unbekannte ins All geschickt wurde, spiegelt "All Worlds" diese Sehnsucht nach Verbindung und Verständnis wider. Jeder Track fängt ein Fragment eines Gefühls, einer Kultur oder einer Erinnerung ein und bietet einen kaleidoskopischen Blick auf die menschliche Erfahrung. Der Titel des Albums spiegelt die Idee wider, Fragmente von unterschiedlichen Orten, Gefühlen und Geschichten zu sammeln. Britny Fox is the eponymous debut album by American glam metal band Britny Fox, originally released in 1988. It was met with critical acclaim and near Platinum sales. Their lead single "Long Way To Love" made heavy rotation on MTV and the band won Metal Edge magazine's Best New Band award in 1988. Britny Fox was formed in 1985 in Philadelphia, fronted by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist "Dizzy" Dean Davidson. Other band members included Billy Childs on bass, and two former members of the band Cinderella; Michael Kelly Smith on lead guitar and Tony Destra on drums. Their debut album remains their most popular work to date. Britny Fox is available as a limited edition of 750 copies on white coloured vinyl and includes an insert.

Auf "Landkrieg" bleiben SCALPTURE ihren tödlichen Wurzeln treu, aber der Schliff durch die endlosen Stunden auf Tour, zahlreiche Shows und viele Tage und Nächte sowohl im Proberaum als auch im Hellforge Studio haben ihren Sound hörbar nachgeschärft. Arny Margret, Iceland’s remarkable and poetic upcoming singer-songwriter, is due to release her second album ‘I Miss You, I Do’ on March 7th via One Little Independent Records. The follow-up to 2022’s celebrated, minimalist folk debut ‘they only talk about the weather’ sees her working with new producers in America to develop and hone a sound that’s more textured, expansive, and mature.

‘I Miss You, I Do’ incorporates sessions from Arny Margret’s trips to New York City, North Carolina, and Colorado, as well as those recorded in Iceland. During extensive international touring, she wrote prolifically and spent time getting to know producers and musicians who each brought their own unique and individual talents to the project. Arny’s atmospheric and introspective material has been layered with country-inflected full band ensembles, keys, banjo, harmonium, slide guitar and more, adding an ambience that only enhances her natural ability to convey crystal-clear imagery within thematically rich writing.

In pursuit of her creative vision, Arny enlisted producers Josh Kaufman, Andrew Berlin, Brad Cook, and Guðm. “Kiddi” Kristinn Jónsson. Josh Kaufman is best known for his work with Grateful Dead founder Bob Weir, The National, This Is The Kit, Hiss Golden Messenger, Josh Ritter, and The War on Drugs. Andrew Berlin, GRAMMY nominated for his work on Gregory Alan Isakov’s record ‘Evening Machines’, also mixes national punk rock staples such as A Wilhelm Scream, Rise Against, and Teenage Bottlerocket. Brad Cook served as a producer for Bon Iver, Big Red Machine, Waxahatchee, Hand Habits, Kevin Morby, and Whitney amongst others. Arny also returned to Iceland to record with her long-time collaborator and friend Kiddi Jónsson in Reykjavík, Iceland.

After a five-year absence following 2020’s creative elevator-punk explosion Roundelay, Ashley Eriksson, Eli Moore, and Andrew Dorsett of LAKE return with Bucolic Gone, a mature and polished album that is at once groovy, upbeat, meditative, and slow-rolled. As LAKE’s 10th official full-length release, Bucolic Gone is a cohesive work of sophisti-pop that embodies an adult, contemporary sound—intimate, serene, mournful, and hopeful in equal measure.

The multi-instrumental trio is joined by an impressive lineup of collaborators, including guest vocalists Nicholas Krgovich on “Glad Rags” and Daisy Jaberi of Suver with original lyrics on “Love Is Deeper.” Frequent contributors also make appearances: Karl Blau delivers standout shredding on “Ferrari,” Mark Buzard of The Format provides guitar textures across multiple tracks, and New York jazz musician Eric Vanderbuilt-Matthews contributes intricate woodwind arrangements. First Aid Kit, Sufjan Stevens) adds trombone to “Love Is Deeper,” while legendary Canadian singer Jenn Grant lends her unique vocals to the outro of “Ferrari.” Recorded at The Anacortes Unknown Recording Studio by longtime collaborator Nicholas Wilbur and in the band’s own home studios, Bucolic Gone marks another step forward for Eli Moore in production and mixing. His meticulous attention to arrangement and balance—alongside an arsenal of distorted “whatchamacallits”—creates a rich, layered sound. Celebrating 20 years of ethereal, yearning pop songs, LAKE’s latest effort is their most produced but also most intimate album. Now signed to Don Giovanni Records, the band is ready to continue delivering jams. While the world has changed since LAKE’s last official release, Bucolic Gone shows that time has been on their side.

Die aus Australien stammende und in Berlin lebende Schlagzeugerin und Perkussionistin Eilis Frawley veröffentlicht am 07.03.2025 ihr Debütalbum 'Fall Forward'.

Co-produziert von Eilis Frawley und Kat Frankie, ist 'Fall Forward' ein kaleidoskopartiges Geflecht aus Kraut, Hip Hop, Spoken Word und Indie. Mit Texten, die über Jahre hinweg in Flugzeugen, Zügen und Bussen geschrieben wurden und persönliche Geschichten von Nostalgie erzählen, von einer bestimmten Vorstellung von Zuhause, von psychischer Gesundheit und von Beziehungen zwischen allen Arten von Menschen.

Eilis Frawley ist eine klassisch ausgebildete Musikerin. Neben ihrer eigenen Musik spielt und spielte sie Schlagzeug für Künstler*innen wie Anika, Laura Lee und The Jettes sowie für ihre eigenen Bands Kara Delik (türkischer Post-Punk) und Restless (Noisy Punk). LIMBOY RETURNS WITH EXPLOSIVE SOPHOMORE ALBUM 'II' French Noise-Punk Quartet's New Album Arrives via Stolen Body Records Stolen Body Records announces their newest signing LIMBOY and the release of their sophomore album 'II'. Following their spontaneous and raw 2022 debut (delayed due to the global pandemic), the French quartet has channeled their infamous live energy into ten uncompromising tracks that showcase their evolution and musical prowess. The album will be released worldwide on vinyl, digital platforms, and all major streaming services. Emerging from Angers' vibrant rock scene, LIMBOY has built their reputation through incendiary live performances and notable support slots for acts like Metz. The band, comprising members known for their work with Tinny Voices, Eagles Gift, Bermud, San Carol, and Sheraf, brings a wealth of experience and musical diversity to their distinctive sound. 'II' sees LIMBOY diving deeper into their hardcore punk roots while embracing the sonic textures of '90s noise rock. The album's ten tracks are a testament to the band's growth, addressing themes of personal struggle, introspection, and the persistent doubts that shape human experience. Sopa Boba is a Belgian-Dutch electronic, modern classical project. The idea behind the form is a so-called Oratorio from the present age which unfolds a dramatc tale within a sociopolitcal framework. The compositons incorporate a neo-classical style string quartet, harsh modular sytnhs and spoken word vocals. It features Pavel Tchikov (Ogives) and G.W. Sok (The Ex, Oiseaux-Tempête).

That Moment is an adaptation of the eponymous text by Moldavian writer Nicola Esinencu. The starting point of That Moment takes place in a real fact, which happened in present-time Moldavia, where a father cut his son's finger with an axe, as a punishment for stealing a bit ofmoney from the father's wallet. From there the author combines the tale and its reality with a caustic irony, interrogating an unbridled capitalist society, where everything and everyone is for sale. The total playing-tme is 55 minutes, somewhere in between a hybrid electronic - modern classical oratorio and a concept album, with seven tracks that serve as seven chapters of an ironic and satiric story about the downward spiral of the capitalist society.

In late 2023, Tokyo-based musician, Daigo Sakuragi, temporarily relocated to London, where he revisited material recorded with fellow Japanese musicians in Tokyo, drawing inspiration from the city’s energy, music, and atmosphere. This new perspective culminated in Togenkyo, a 28-minute work blending early 2000s folktronica and contemporary ambient styles. Sakuragi crafts immersive sonic textures with synthesisers and spatial production, while the organic groove of drums and bass anchors the piece, subtly inviting physical movement. Floating above this foundation, the saxophone weaves through the soundscape, leading the music with an elegant yet exploratory presence.

The session took place at aLive recording studio in Tokyo, with the following personnel:

The lineup reflects a network of notable Japanese artists: Ichikawa, Sakuragi’s longtime collaborator in D.A.N.; Ikeda, known for his work with Maya Ongaku; and Ooi, a drummer for yahyel.

Sakuragi is best known for his band project D.A.N., where he contributes vocals, guitar, and production alongside bassist Jinya Ichikawa and drummer Teru Kawakami. Since its formation in 2014, D.A.N. has gained recognition for their unique fusion of indie rock/pop, dub, and electronic music. Under his solo moniker Daigos, Sakuragi explores electronic dance music through DJing and production, experimenting with Eurorack modules and samples in a refined, microscopic aesthetic. Recently, his creative output has expanded into diverse fields, including advertisements, artist collaborations, and films.

The term Togenkyo resonates with the concept of utopia, yet it diverges—it does not symbolise a flawless paradise but rather an attainable state of peace within oneself. Sakuragi reflects on finding his own Togenkyo in London, far from his hometown of Tokyo. The EP brings a sense of comfort and calm, reminding listeners that such a space exists not far from reach.

Conrad Pack’s debut album Commandments. Mournful, murked-out dub-tekno and water-logged 〜150bpm steppers scraped from the floor of the Thames. A very UK response to the year-zero schrantz death-trips of DJ Valentime$, DJ Salazar et al. Simultaneously ultra-alienated and dialled into the dance, full of caustic/entropic industrial textures, drawing deep too on concussive reggae/soundystem dynamics and drill’s emotional-badboy yearning.

Music to Watch Seeds Grow By continues its series of plant-inspired soundscapes with new work from Pittsburgh-based sound artist Davis Galvin. This composition focuses on the Delphinium Elatum, capturing the quiet drama of this striking perennial through carefully constructed ambient textures.

Where their previous work explored the complex electronic territories of the outer technoid reaches, here Galvin turns their attention to the subtle processes of plant growth. The piece unfolds gradually, much like the Delphinium's own journey from seed to flowering plant. Gentle drones and atmospheric elements mirror the plant's various growth stages, from its initial emergence to its ascent to heights of up to two metres. You heard it here first.

The music creates an environment for contemplation, designed specifically for the moments of sowing and tending to these magnificent plants. Galvin's approach, as with all things they turn their ear to, emphasises patience and attention to detail, qualities essential to both gardening and deep listening.
