Last spotted on the label only a matter of weeks ago with 'Infinite Interchange' on the 'Darkroom Dubs Presents Summer Love' collection, here he builds on the momentum with two more singular missions deep into the timeless analogue abyss. What's more, they come covered with a print of one of Justin's very own hand-drawn pieces. 'Dr. Spectro On The Frontier' marks the start of this new Deadstock trip. Celebrating the lesser spotted DC super villain who could control people's emotions with a brazen line or two of sinewy acid; what starts off dark and gnarly gradually unfolds into a much more emotional narrative. My Favorite Robot's next release is a very special remix by DJ Tennis. It initially comes as a 10' white vinyl and will then be available digitally in autumn.

MFR's 'Barricade' was first released on DJ Tennis's Life And Death label back in 2012. It was a huge house track that resonates to this day, so it makes sense the taste- making Italian steps up to remix it. He is someone with a cultured take on brooding house and techno, as evidenced by the music he A&Rs for his label as well as things like his own standout DJ-kicks mix from last year.

His new remix is a masterfully melancholic one that starts with a delicate ambient synth line hanging in mid air. Breathy vocals eventually arrive to send shivers down the spine and finally, deep, rolling, mid tempo kicks bring a groove that carries you away into a reverie. It's made all the more mournful and poignant thanks to some broad synth chords and swirling pads later on and is sure to provide a real centre point of any seriously emotional set.

This is a stunning and absorbing single and another high point for My Favorite Robot Records.

The empty, divine heaviness of songs like Ecstatica / On Patrol invokes Yusef Lateef's Little Symphony, while the computerized spontaneity of Lava Valley feels somehow connected to Yasuaki Shimizu's Music for Commercials. Non-musical sounds and evocative melodies sit side-by-side - new psychedelia for love and life in the digital jetstream.

ACT! is a project from Toronto-based musician David Psutka. Building on a diverse body of releases as Egyptrixx, Ceramic TL, Anamai and various other collaborations, ACT! denotes a new chapter of creative output from Psutka and the Halocline Trance label. Universalist follows a prolific string of releases in 2017 with Anamai - What Mountain; Ceramic TL + Ipek Gorgun - Perfect Lung; and Egyptrixx - Pure, Beyond Reproach, and synthesizes recurring themes of materiality and the unifying potential of sound.

You may remember the closing of Space, Ibiza with Carl Cox when he played a bootleg of Total Confusion.
Barry Obzee Hobbs (Rising High A&R) spent a lot of time trying to locate the Remixer and finally did a few months ago. We have now signed the remix which will be released on vinyl in May and on digital in July. The story goes like this: Carl Cox has been playing the version at most of his shows including Tomorrow Land, Kappa Future Fest and Timewarp ( see video clip below) but this is where the story becomes more interesting. The Remixer, ROD Malmok from Rotterdam aka Benny Rodriguez, who is a very established DJ Producer playing for Loco Dice in Ibiza etc and releasing on Ben Klock's imprint Klockwork, Chris Liebing's imprint CLR, Adam Beyer's imprint Drumcode and many more was inspired to remix the track through a conversation with Dubfire, Rod gave him a rough copy the following day. He played it to Carl Cox at Space, Ibiza and Cox begged him for a copy - see video below

Les Soleils de l'Île de Pâques (1972), by French director Pierre Kast, is a sci-fi feature which secured itself a well-deserved place in the pantheon of mysterious cult films thanks to hallucinatory (and superb) cinematography, exploration of supernatural phenomenons and occult symbolism, and one hell of a trippy atmosphere. La Brûlure de Mille Soleils (1965) also comes from Pierre Kast, but this time with the help of none other than writer, photographer, multimedia artist, homme à tout faire Chris Mar

Cold Beat is a San Francisco-based quartet fronted by Hannah Lew (synths, vocals) with Kyle King (synths, guitar), Luciano Talpini Aita (synths) and Sean Monaghan (guitar). Formed in 2013 the band has released three albums and two EPs. 'A Simple Reflection' is a 7-song collection of Eurythmics covers, yet feels just as personal as any of their original material. While digging through a collection of 12s for her record shop Contact Records, Lew stumbled across the earliest Eurythmics B-sides and was floored. This lead to the discovery of their debut album 'In The Garden'. Annie Lennox's abstract and poetic lyrics really struck a chord with Hannah. What had started out as a single cover quickly snowballed into a full blown obsession. The synth and drum programming resonated with her songwriting process, so reimagining them was very creatively fulfilling. The covers on this EP are simultaneously dynamic and atmospheric post-punk that plays to Lew's ethereal vocals and King's crystalline guitar. All songs have been mixed by Mikey Young (Total Control) and mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios. The record is housed in a jacket designed by Eloise Leigh, which features pink and purple clouds that evoke a dreamy softness and DIY playfulness and photos Lew in her best Lennox-inspired drag. Each copy includes a postcard with photos and notes. End of summer is nearby again and Luise is reminiscing this year's precious moments. With a touch of melancholy and weightless beauty Zazou & An On Bast are setting the right theme for the upcoming autumn days. While knowing and following each other's musical progression for years, this celebration of polish-german friendship came off with unexpected ease and utterly pleasing results. In the spirit of collaboration this release is supported by Basel's charming Arutani on the vinyl side and Luise's own Niju aswell as Plattenfreund Gottlieb Scheppert on the digital outlet. Matthew Halsall first met the La-based, spiritual jazz vocal legend, Dwight Trible(Kamasi Washington, Pharoah Sanders and Horace Tapscott) at the Joy of Jazz Festival in South Africa back in 2015, when a chance encounter backstage led to Trible sitting in with The Gondwana Orchestra for an impromptu reading of the classic Pharoah Sanders and Leon Thomas anthem 'The Creator Has A Master Plan'. In 2017 they released the deep, soulful Inspirationsalbum together (GOND017) but inspired by their first meeting Matt arranged some classic Pharoah tunes for Dwight to revisit. This then is The Gondwana Orchestra featuring Dwight Trible, Colors: a 4 track vinyl and digital only EP featuring brilliant new versions of Colors,The Creator Has a Master Plan, Love is Everywhereand You've Got to Have Freedomand featuring the Gondwana Orchestra with pianist Taz Modi, bassist Gavin Barras, drummer Jon Scott, harpist Rachel Gladwin and Matt himself on trumpet.

Packed in a distinctive bright orange Gondwana Records sleeve this is the second in a collectors series of spiritual jazz limited-edition EPs set for release in 2018 as part of Gondwana Records' 10th anniversary.

vocals, chose the instruments and determined what was heard on the radio - and what record buyers bought.

'Paradise: The Sound Of Ivor Raymonde' is released by Bella Union, the label run by Ivor's son, former Cocteau Twins member Simon Raymonde.
Compiled by Simon and Kieron Tyler, it is a very personal tribute to a sadly missed father. Born in 1926, Ivor Raymonde passed away in 1990. The previously untold story is revealed through a moving reminiscence written by Simon and in-depth liner notes and a track-by-track commentary by Kieron. Ivor Raymonde played on the ocean liner The Queen Mary in 1949. In the Fifties, British television viewers saw him in legendary comedian Tony Hancock's 'Hancock's Half Hour' but music was always going
to be most important - the hits with Billy Fury and Dusty Springfield in 1961 and 1963 meant he was in demand. The 26 selections balance the wellknown with collectable rarities and tracks drawn from - until now - barely heard-of singles. Each is a gem and each shows the magic of an Ivor Raymonde recording.
'Paradise: The Sound Of Ivor Raymonde' is issued on CD and 180g heavyweight double vinyl album with digital download code. The vinyl version is sequenced slightly differently for listening flow. Every track was originally issued as a single issued in mono for the pop market until 1968 / 1969. Keeping the integrity of the compilation in mind, all but four tracks appear in mono as they did originally. The masters used are those of the original singles.

Glasgow's Wheelman provides the tenth iteration of DBA's Dubs series, following a series of high profile releases on Huntleys & Palmers, Studio Barnhus, and his own Stereotone label. Signal is Wheelman's most ambitious effort to date, its searing amen stabs and deep sub bass guaranteed to wreck any club, while floating pads and crystalline strings add a bittersweet moment of rave nostalgia to the breakdown.

On the flip, in line with the DBA Dubs concept of pairing a house track from an up and coming UK producer with a remix by an established techno name from across the pond, Detroit In Effect provide a cold, bleep-drenched take which raises the tempo of Wheelman's original to an almost breakneck speed. D.I.E, also known as Cybonix, were prolific throughout the late 90s and early 00s on their own M.A.P. label and more recently on Rotterdam's Clone.

To coincide with the release of the tenth edition in the DBA Dubs series the label are also making all ten original tracks available as a digital package, while all ten of the remixes from the series get their own bundle, with Wheelman and Basic Soul Unit providing a megamix of each edition respectively.

Making A Radical Shift From Intentional Accessibility, By Means Of Traditional Pop Songwriting, To Abstract Happenstance, Coil Had Entered Into A New Phase In Their Career...uncharted Waters Utilizing What Was Then The Newest Computer Technology, Digital And Analog Synthesis And The Newly Formed Ideas That Something Outside Of Themselves Was Steering The Ship.

During The Studio Sessions That Developed Into What Would Become 'worship The Glitch'. Coil Became Aware Of Random Compositions Emitting From Their Gear, And Were At Odds With Constant 'accidents' That Were Perpetually Plaguing The Recordings. The Band Called These Unintentional Emissions "elph": A Conceptual Being That Is One Part Physical Equipment, One Part Celestial Being...constantly Playing The Role Of Trickster, Throwing A Wrench Into Coil's Methodology. Eventually, These Accidents And Mistakes Were Embraced By The Band, And The Process Of Misusing Audio Software To Create Intentional "errors" Was Adopted As A Musical Technique. The Acceptance Of The "mistake", And The Use Of Discovered Mistakes As Intentional Elements Slowly Became The Drive And Concept Behind The Album, Thus Birthing The Title 'worship The Glitch'.

Originally Released In 1995 On Coil's In-house Imprint Eskaton, Worship The Glitch Was Coil's First Proper Album-length Attempt At Conceptual Ambient Composition, With A Radical Focus On Chance. Seamless Vignettes Of Shattered Electronics (though Ebbing Softly And In Delicate Balance With Each Other) Provide An Underlying Uncertainty And Discomfort To The Listener.

Originally released digitally on Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter's Classic Music Company last summer; Girls of the Internet's deep-house-dub-techno-afro ballad 'When U Go' is now being pressed up to vinyl on RAMP Recordings. The B side is a brand new track from Girls of the Internet - 'Running' featuring Nattlie Maddix, of the House Gospel Choir. Mixing live instruments with synths and drum machines, 'Running' is a soulful yet driving disco tinged deep house track. To finish off this massive package, Local Action's Finn delivers a genre-straddling remix of 'Running'.

If you want to know what Gabe Gurnsey's debut album
'Physical' sounds like, the first thing you should do is forget all
about Factory Floor, the group he co-founded 13 years ago.
Gone are the cold, lengthy, stripped back deconstructions of no
wave electronica and industrial techno, abandoned in favour of
something altogether warmer, torrid and succinct.
'It's a real departure from Factory Floor,' he explains. 'Yeah,
that was the intention. There's only one track over six minutes
long! There's only one crossover point on the song 'Night
Track', which is 6'33' - that's probably as close to Factory Floor
as it gets. What I wanted to get into with 'Physical' had more to
do with exploring songwriting and structure. The album is very
escapist in one sense even though I don't want to escape from
Factory Floor but what I do on my own has to be separate and
it has to explore new avenues.' Gurnsey started writing tracks in his downtime from the group early 2017 and by the start of that Summer he had 30 demos ready for work. He admits he worked very quickly initially but then gave the tracks 12 months to develop fully into a new sound.
And that new sound - a 21st Century take on muscular electro,
Balearic synth pop, EBM, proto-Hacienda militant funk, early
Chicago house and minimal, Neptunes-referencing beats - can
be experienced in full on 'Physical' the album released on Erol
Alkan's Phantasy label. The album features additional production from Erol Alkan, who also mixed the record.

The Soul Brothers Inc. hail from Houston, Texas and were likely one of the most important funk/soul groups in the city in the late 1960s until they broke up in the mid '70s. Tramp released The Story of the Soul Bros. Inc. in late 2010, now it is time to pick two lesser known songs for release on 45rpm single. Both sides are equally great, especially Put It On Him with its heavy drums and and wah wah guitar throughout the song.
