Ten years ago, Norrköping's own Skraeckoedlan released their second full-length album, Sagor (Fairy Tale/Stories). Rooted in the Riff-driven heaviness of stoner rock and the storytelling spirit of progressive rock, Skraeckoedlan craft sonic worlds where myths, cosmic beings, and the forces of nature feel as alive as the guitars driving them. Back in 2015, they released the concept album Sagor, weaving together their love of grand narratives with their massive, immersive sound - a musical journey through Nordic legends, timeless natural mysticism, and entirely original realms. It became a landmark release, firmly establishing Skraeckoedlan as one of Sweden's most ambitious and imaginative heavy bands. Today, they stand as one of the Nordic region's most distinctive and celebrated fuzz acts-musicians who don't just write songs, but entire stories. Now, Fantastic Cat has defied the odds—and their therapists’ strong recommendations—to return with their third and finest album yet, Cat Out Of Hell. Produced by the band and mixed by D. Classic album by Dinah Washington, one of America's most versatile singers of the 1950's who moved effortlessly between pop to gospel to jazz to blues. She teamed with the great Quincy Jones , For Those in Love is an essential album for any collection. Dinah Washington (1924-1963) recorded many albums for EmArcy Records and during the period 1954 to 1961 she worked with Quincy Jones, including the release presented here, For Those in Love, which was the first of their recorded collaborations. Featuring three brilliant small group sessions, taped on three consecutive days in March of 1955, the arrangements were by Jones, who also conducted the band and played a trumpet solo on 'Ask a Woman Who Knows'. The group of heavyweight players includes such stars as Clark Terry, Jimmy Cleveland, Paul Quinichette, Cecil Payne, Wynton Kelly, and Jimmy Cobb.

GOLLIWOG is billy woods' first album in two years, preceded by 2023's Maps, his second collaboration with producer Kenny Segal. That nimble travelogue has little in common with woods' newest work, despite the fact that Segal shows up a couple times in the credits. GOLLIWOG is a haunting collection that weaves horror, humor, surrealism and Afropessimism into a cinematic tapestry, aided and abetted by a murderer's row of producers. African zombies, time traveling trap cars, malevolent ragdolls and a dying Frantz Fanon are just a few of the revelers in woods' danse macabre. GOLLIWOG features production from The Alchemist, Kenny Segal, EL-P, Conductor Williams, Preservation, Messiah Musik, Sadhugold, Ant (Atmosphere), Shabaka Hutchings, Steel Tipped Dove, DJ Haram, Willie Green, Jeff Markey, Saint Abdullah, and LA-based experimental jazz trio Human Error Club. Meanwhile, woods is joined on the mic by Backwoodz labelmates ELUCID and Cavalier, along with rappers Bruiser Wolf, Despot, Al.Divino, and singer-songwriter Yolanda Watson. GOLLIWOG is another triumph in the woods oeuvre, as layered and compelling as anything he has ever done. A black carnival pitched in a muddy field overnight, empty rides whirring and clattering in the dark.

Brighton four-piece Lime Garden return with their self-reckoning second album 'Maybe Not Tonight' So Young Records (the record label launched by So Young Magazine).

Vocalist and guitarist Chloe Howard says: “The album is about a night out, from start to finish. As the night progresses, you’re having a great time, until your ex walks in with someone else. Co-created with collaborator and multi-instrumentalist Robin G. Breeze, the album deftly combines field recordings, layered instrumentation, and emotionally resonant compositions into a nuanced, globally influenced body of work. It also stands as Esa’s most collaborative release to date, featuring contributions from musicians across London, Oaxaca, Nairobi, and Cape Town, each adding their own creative energy to a project built on openness, trust, and shared experience.

The album draws inspiration from Esa’s recent ventures into documentary scoring and soundtracking, with projects like Cursed (Audible) and The Invisible Hand teaching him to listen differently, to honour space, to serve the story. That sensibility permeates the album, resulting in music that breathes, lingers, and listens as much as it speaks.

The title, Dala What We Must, is a South African call to action: a reminder to do what’s necessary, even in uncertainty. Finalised in the months leading up to Esa’s transition into fatherhood, the record carries a sense of grounding, care, and quiet transformation.

Florida deathcore heavyweights Bodysnatcher return with their most punishing and purposeful statement to date. ‘Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home’, out April 10, is not an escape record, it is a confrontation. Brutal, unrelenting, and emotionally unfiltered, the album captures a band fully locked into its identity while sharpening every weapon in its arsenal. True to their roots, Bodysnatcher deliver a sound steeped in suffocating grooves, bone-crushing breakdowns, and feral intensity. ‘Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home’ pushes beyond pure aggression. The record explores cycles of trauma, self-destruction, survival, and the uncomfortable truth that for many, suffering is not a phase, it is a place.

This is deathcore grounded in lived experience, written from inside the fire rather than in hindsight. Across the album, Bodysnatcher balance sonic violence with a disciplined sense of control. Downtuned riffs grind with oppressive weight, drums hit with mechanical precision, and vocals swing between outright hostility and grim reflection. Each track feels deliberate, built not just to hit hard, but to linger. With this release, Bodysnatcher continue to cement their position as one of modern deathcore’s most uncompromising voices. ‘Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home’ is a record built for the pit, rooted in truth, unflinching and heavy in every sense, delivered with absolute conviction.

Vivel is Alexander Eldefors’ second release under his own name. Built around eurorack and field recordings, many captured during still moments while traveling to visit family and friends. The album was created during a period of transition. It functions as an anchor in a time of change, representing a sense of home, safety, and stillness.

Alexander Eldefors is a producer, composer, and mixing engineer based in the countryside outside of Stockholm, Sweden. With a background as both a sound engineer and musician, he has spent years recording, mixing and playing in a wide range of bands and solo projects. In 2019, he consciously slowed down and returned to a more intimate and quiet musical expression, leading to the release of his debut album Bergen in 2020 under his own name. Bergen is the Swedish word for mountains and reflects the fact that Alexander grew up in the north of Sweden close to the mountains.

His music is minimalistic, melodic, and embracing, shaped by a deep connection to nature. Natural environments are a constant presence in his work, serving both as inspiration and as a sound source. Alongside this, he is drawn to the raw textures of everyday objects, working with foley sounds and field recordings. His arrangements unfold as organic sound collages, where elements blend freely and imperfections are preserved to maintain a natural, human feel.

By the time Just One of Those Things was recorded, Nat "King" Cole was already considered by the general public as more of a singer and entertainer than a jazz pianist. Cole did his first sessions with the more jazz-oriented Billy May in 1951, but it wasn't until 1957 when they collaborated on this first LP - Just One of Those Things, a memorable album in which all 12 songs fit seamlessly together perfectly. It wasn't just May's arrangements that created such swinging music behind Cole's vocals though, it was also the band, which included many illustrious soloists: Harry "Sweets" Edison, Willie Smith, Pete Candoli, Jimmy Rowles and Lee Young, along with John Collins and Jack Costanzo, members of the celebrated Nat "King" Cole Trio.

Pale Communion is the eleventh studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth. The album was released in 2014 on Roadrunner Records, and was produced by Mikael Åkerfeldt and mixed by Steven Wilson.

Mikael Åkerfeldt said of the album, "I wanted to do something more melodic with this album, so there's stronger vocal melodies and more melodies overall for this album." Greg Kennelty of Metal Injection said the album does not contain "growls or death metal vocals" and he described the album as "the missing link between Damnation and Ghost Reveries or if Heritage was written directly after Ghost Reveries without Watershed having ever existed".
