Brooklyn Sway's 8th installment arrives from outside with more unexpected debuts and riotous returns to form. Experienced Barcelonian Larry Lan's epic 10-minute opener 'WTNG' is minimal goes post-punk, repurposing well-known, undisguised lyrics into an aggressive take on early Perlon and explanation enough for his recent album drop on Cadenza. BKS vets N/UM return with 'A Free Woman in Queens' showing off a reduced side of their sound adjacent to mid-00s minimal with plenty of character, its stripped intro giving way to a fuller, dubbed-out second half, with the cheeky vocal and instrumental touches joined by a swelling pad. Featuring spoken vox from Mari Blue and the debut of BKS co-head Asha Jasz alongside DeWinter and Jay Prouty, 'Acid in Your Coffee' takes the dirtier route, with layers of zapping electronics, an insistent single-note acid bass, and synths drifting between tones and textures all veering off like its vocals before eventually returning to center. LA/Bucktown scallywag $coe brings it home with 'The Devil is a MF Liar', an acid jam whose profanity-laced vocal samples don't require divine intervention to decipher. Bookended by a pair of interludes, the first on the power of repetition and the last in memoriam BK legend Big Sexy in his own words, and again featuring striking artwork from notable NYC street artist Fumero, BKS keeps that Sway from going astray.

Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Venedig (mit 15-minütigen Standing Ovations!) Premiere feierte. Der Film erzählt die Geschichte des legendären Mixed-Martial-Arts- und UFC-Kämpfers Mark Kerr. Die Hauptrollen spielen Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson und die Oscar-nominierte Emily Blunt. Die Filmmusik wurde von Nala Sinephro komponiert, produziert, arrangiert, gemischt und gemastert. Mit dabei sind auch ihre langjährigen Weggefährten James Mollison, Nubya Garcia, Lyle Barton, Dwayne "Wonky Logic" Kilvington, Morgan Simpson, Natcyet Wakili, Mark Mollison und Sheila Maurice-Grey. Außerdem wirkt das Londoner Orchester Orchestrate mit, das bereits 2024 die Streicher für Sinephros hochgelobtes Album "Endlessness" lieferte.

Obwohl Sinephros Musik – meditativ, ätherisch und gewaltig – für eine Wrestlergeschichte paradox erscheinen mag, fand Marks Geschichte bei Sinephro Anklang, der die verborgenen Sanftheiten und Emotionen der Geschichte aufgriff. Die Filmmusik klingt immer noch unverkennbar nach Nala Sinephro – weitläufig mit gleichmäßiger Wärme, wunderschönen Streicherarrangements, leichten Themen, gemächlicher Harfe –, wurde aber intensiviert, um den Themen des Films zu entsprechen: Druck, Verlustangst, Sucht, Schmerz, vulkanische Beziehungen und das Gefühl des Hochgefühls.

The king of cheeky edits of timeless disco and funk is back with a wicked trip through obscure French grooves, flipped, filtered, and fired up for contemporary dancefloors. These three edits from Monsieur Van Pratt on Illegal Disco 008 don't just nod to the past, they grab it by the collar and drag it under the mirrorball. The opener 'Danse Danse' struts in a sunny groove built for open-air euphoria, 'Pas Chez Toi' slides deeper, a go-go-soaked funk jam with razor-sharp percussion then 'Ombre De Plaisir' detonates with horns blaring, rhythm pumping and pure disco adrenaline. Some 30 years after they first met in the DJ booth of Tokyo’s Spacelab Yellow nightclub, close friends François Kevorkian and Dimitri From Paris have finally joined forces in the studio. The result is The Nassau Excursion, a dazzlingly good three-track EP inspired by their joint love of disco and boogie-era dance records made at Island Records’ Compass Point Studio in the Bahamas.

Across three essential tracks, François and Dimitri explore and celebrate this distinctive Caribbean post-disco sound – one where weighty basslines and heavy drum machine beats rub shoulders with early ‘80s synths, dub-style production, heady hand percussion patterns and arrangements drenched in space echo and tape delay.

Reissued for the first time and fully remastered. Originally released in 1984 on the Baltimore soul label Be More Records.

S.A.M. returns to Up The Stuss this summer with the third release in the UTSOFF series, delivering a potent double-header that’s been rattling dancefl oors for months. Titled ‘Hit You With My Phone’, the release arrives on 4th July and features two dynamic cuts that further cement the Danish talent’s place in the label’s core family.

A mainstay in Chris Stussy’s recent sets and one of the most talked-about IDs in recent months, title track ‘Hit You With My Phone’ is pure dancefloor dynamite — a helter-skelter ride through organised chaos, laced with warped vocals, frenetic percussion and a relentless groove that grabs you and doesn’t let go. It’s bold, it’s unpredictable, and it’s quickly become one of the most commanding tracks in the Dutch label boss’s arsenal.

JAMIIE & Ape Drums reunite for captivating collaboration ‘4ME’ on Crosstown Rebels.

Out on 27th February 2026, the Berlin-based DJ/producer and Miami-based Major Lazer member make their first appearance on Damian Lazarus’ label, featuring a bold reinterpretation from Whitesquare.
Following their widely championed 2025 collaboration ‘111’, a standout of the summer season, JAMIIE and Ape Drums reconnect for ‘4ME’, a track born from long-distance sessions and a unique creative flow. Crafted via a partnership that thrives on spontaneity, with ideas bouncing seamlessly between Berlin and Miami, the result is a production that feels alive, organic, and meticulously detailed as they both make their debut appearance on Damian Lazarus’ renowned Crosstown Rebels imprint.

The original ‘4ME’ moves at its own pace, layering resonant synth textures, alluring vocal phrases, and subtle melodic chords to create a hypnotic pull. Moments of intimacy give way to rolling, percussive grooves, pulling the listener into a slow-burning, immersive journey.

On the flip, Italian DJ/producer and returning Crosstown Rebels talent Whitesquare sharpens the track, injecting jittering percussion, bubbling organ stabs, and a taut, club-ready pulse that transform the hypnotic original into a late-hours weapon without losing its emotional core. Das Wiener Label SILUH RECORDS feiert 20-jähriges Jubiläum u.a. mit dieser limitierten wirklichen Vinyl Only-VÖ (no CD, no DL, no Stream)! Das Album kommt mit 13 Songs, aktuelle Label-Artists covern jeweils einen liebgewonnene Song von Labelkolleg*innen. Ein wilder Ritt zwischen den Genres ist vorprogrammiert, was auch den breiten Backkatalog der Wiener Indie-Institution Siluh Records gut widerspiegelt. Das 2005 gegründete Label mit mittlerweile über 100 Releases ist ein wahrliches Szene-Juwel, wo Bands wie DIVES, GARDENS, CULK, MILE ME DEAF, LAUNDROMAT CHICKS, SEX JAMS oder EUROTEURO ihr zuhause haben und zum kleinen Undeground-Hype der Musikstadt Wien maßgeblich beigetragen. TELEBRAINS nehmen sich DIVES' "Tomorrow" vor, diese wiederum graben einen alten LUISE POP Song, der nie auf einem Album erschienen ist, aus und erwecken ihn zu neuem Leben. Die Indie-Folk-Gruppe GARDENS bearbeiten eine Dada-Pop-Nummer von EUROTEURO, die wiederum einen TOPSY TURVY Song eingedeutscht haben. Und so geht's munter weiter... Der Titel "POCKET SONGS" bezieht sich auf ein Zitat des befreundeten Betreibers von Bachelor Records, der mal meinte "Pocket Band, eine Band für die Hosentasche. Eine Band, die man liebt und von der man Freunden erzählen möchte, aber nicht zu vielen, denn die Band sollte klein und in der Hosentasche bleiben und nicht in den Playlists von jedem Tom, Dick und Harry vorkommen". Mark Funk and Danny Cruz's Cruise Music label continues to offer-up the best of its digital-first EPs via the popular Vinyl Jams sampler series. There's a real sun-splashed, dancing-on-the-terrace feel to much of the music contained on this 14th volume in the series. Mark Funk steps up first with the loopy, filter-rich disco-house release of 'Never Never', which rises and falls in all the right places in search of hands-aloft action, before Makito drops the vibraphone solo-laden deep house-meets-garage-house flex of 'Heavy Vibes' (think Masters at Work collaborating with Roy Ayers and you're close), Over on side B, Danny Cruz serves up 'Sugar', a tooled-up, house-style re-edit of a joyous disco gem, while Filth & Smell's 'Panama Sweet Spot' is an electric piano and sax-loop-fired slab of thickset house funkiness.

Cruise Music continues to serve up irresistible nuggets with its Vinyl Jams series, now reaching volume 15. Once again, it is a various artists affair that blends high production value with the right amount of emotional depth and dance floor kicks, this time looking at the warmer side of house. Keller's 'Stressed Out' is clean vocal house with a catchy wiggle and soulful bass roll, Mirko & Meex that layer a soaring diva vocal into 'There's A Light' that could well become an instant classic. Pianos rule on Oliver Knight & Angelala's 'Your Sunshine,' which is a perfect outdoor cruiser for the hotter days and Dino DZ closes down with the well-sampled 'I Like It.' These are refined, accessible summer house sounds but done with a touch of class.

With over 20 years of intense production work and prestigious collaborations, Irie Ites Records has established itself as one of the most respected reggae labels on the international scene. It's safe to say that Mark E is something of a master when it comes to doing a hell of a lot, with not very much at all.
Back in 2011 'Call Me' was heard everywhere, especially the splendid Dixon edit, which teased out the drama and made the most of that spoken Ms Ross vocal.

It's testimony to the staying power of this track, and the fact it's quite rightly regarded as a Deep House classic that it's had a recent revival, largely from Luke Unabomber across his head-spinning summer tour schedule. We started getting video clips from the curious..."Do you know this track, sounds like Carl Craig remixing 51 Days ?"

Given that we sold out the initial run in a matter of days back then, we thought it was high time we put the call in for a reload.
So here you go, the classic 'Call Me' backed with a truly wonderful new jam from Mark, which is another zinger in a catalogue choc full of 'em...

The new CA label is back with a second offering of edited hip-hop and r&b gold. These are the sort of steam and sexual cuts that bring real heat to any slow jam session. King Most's 'Waiting 4 U' is first with slow, funky breaks and lavish strings and horns bringing a nice sophisticated and seductive feel. Things somehow get even more smoochy and loved up on the flip, which comes from DJ Homicide_. 'Playin' For Money' is a classic boom-bap sound with low slung bass, libidinous vocals and buttery smooth backing that is going to get hips bumping in no time.
