Various ( Julian M, Ange Siddhar & Illan Nicciani, Jepe, Salvatore Freda) - *2* Ain't No Wall High Enough Part 2

Reminiscent of a time where we were releasing 4-tracks sampler every month (remember the Secret Gems From The Vault) It is naturally that we thought about a various artists sampler in order to introduce the new wild bunch,

Julian M, is french and is taking over right now, releasing here his first track on Briquerouge, But the man is no beginner, having released on Catwash, Homecoming, Denote, to name but a few and of course recently on our own RZ Muzik, His music is deep, acid, techy and ready to please any crowd, Ange Siddhar is working for Laboratory Records and works with legendary artists such as Ron Carroll, Paul Johnson or Chris Count and now teams up with Illan Nicciani on several House project, They have a strong vinyl lovers community following their releases and just joined the label with 'The Show'

Jepe was one half of John Waynes who already release on Brique Rouge and is now one of the most respected producer from Portugal, Actually living in Berlin, he has released on Get Physical, Blossom Kollektiv or MuleMuziq, Jepe's tracks have a very high level of quality, True House Music,

And last but not least, our good friend from Switzerland, mr Salvatore Freda, With the machine-driven futurism of Detroit in his step, and the bounce of Chicago in his shadow, Salvatore Freda is a pure vinyl DJ from Lausanne, Switzerland. With a production career that began in 1997, Freda has built up an impressive discography over the years. His music has touched some of techno and house's most respected labels including Trapez, Music Man Records, Liebe Detail, Freerange, Area Remote, Push Communications, Dessous, Nightvision, and Cadenza.

Fabian Dikof - Which Side Are You On Ep

- Which Side Are You On ' is the second EP of Berlin based Fabian Dikof. As a youngster he learned his first basic skills in producing and deejaying from Mr. Andre Lodemann himself in a youth program that Lodemann was teaching in his previous job as a social-worker. Now years later we are happy to have Fabian Dikof back on board with his second release on our Berlin-based imprint Best Works Records.

This 3 tracks EP shows a strong affinity for slow atmospheric build ups with dramatic even surprising mood changes as well as designed beats for the dancefloor. Fabian Dikof takes you on quite a trip through warm sounding synthetizers and rolling basslines. What an in incredibly mature output for such a young artist. So the question here is 'Which Side Are You On'. We see a bright future for this gifted artist.

Jacob Stoy - Teilstück

"Teilstueck" (German for part or segment) is the next excerpt of Jacob Stoy's ongoing attempt to translate his surroundings into music. It's his second EP for Uncanny Valley and is even more multifaceted than his debut "Redenswart" from 2012. With "OMG" you'll get the feeling that something sublime will happen right from the beginning. It's one of those tracks whereby time stands still until a mighty synth-line unfolds in all its glory. "CFM" comes in the same musical vein with a similar and slightly melancholic bass-synth dominating the drumming. By far more cheerful is "MKM". Based on a catchy bass line foundation, Jacob Stoy showcases wonderful synth-effects and sound with the beautifully oscillated pad making the cut. This is House music for machine lovers. The flipside starts with "HIM" and probably the most floor-friendly track on the record. The slowly but steadily rising organ chords prepare things and when the carefully targeted percussion elements come in, it feels like summer will never end. In contrast, "QFL" lives from its mysterious atmosphere and is very good example for Jacob Stoy's preference to use Electronica-like sounds for his House Music. The record is rounded up with "HHM" and a little nod towards past times when he used to play in a Jazz band. With its Delay effects, a fuzzy guitar and a great bass melody it's not far away from Krautrock either. For the artwork Jacob Stoy teams up with fellow student Chris Dietzel.

Repeat Music - Play, Stop, Repeat

Founded by Matthias Schildger & Carlo Ietri in 2013, Repeat is finally ready to conquer the world and bring it's sound to all music lovers out there.
The first imprint of the new label was made by Wigbert // Matt Star & Marvin (incl. Dorian Paic, Dragosh Rmxs) and is called - Play, Stop, Repeat'. It will be out very soon on vinyl and digital.
With the label comes a new booking agency which contains a nice mixture of already well known artists and a few fresh and talented ones.

Here a little overview what you can expect from the first release - Play, Stop, Repeat':

Wigbert - Destroy me:

Wigbert unleashes a monster of a track with - Destroy me' on the dancefloors worldwide. Powerful beats combined with hypnotic rhytmic and some dark vocals will shake your body for sure! This tune will destroy some speakers if you are not careful with the volume... :)

Dorian Paic Remix:

Dorian Paic transforms Wigberts tune into a more happy and melodic but not less uplifting setting with the addition of some nice piano chords. It will put some sunshine into your hearts!

Matt Star and Marvin - In the Trees:

Matt Stars long experience in production combined with the freshness of the very talented Marvin resulted in this deep and groovy track driven by some nice drums and a fat bassline. Dark Athmospheres meets broken beat dubbish minimalism is the best way to describe it.
This track will go straight to your bones!

Dragosh Remix:

Dragosh's interpretation of - In the Trees' is a more percussion orientated track wich will put a lot of smiles on the faces of dancers. Crispy, rhytmic and simply good.

Alex Niggemann - Paranoid Funk Remixes

Alex Niggemann's 2012-defining long player 'Paranoid Funk' dropped in June to a rapturous response from DJs, dancers and home listeners alike. Here, Poker Flat Recordings revisits some of the exceptional highlights of that record, and deliver a remix package sure to be as equally sought-after by those in the know. 'Paranoid Funk' saw the Berlin resident explore a variety of grooves and textures, an experiment that won him many new admirers and a great deal of critical acclaim. Here, some of the hottest remix talent in the scene get their hands on the originals and twist them into new shapes. Following on from releases on Cocoon, Kling Klong, Circle and two strong EPs on Poker Flat ("Dinosaurs' and 'This") renowned producers Alex Flatner and LOPAZZ take on 'Don't Wait' and drop a growling, main room monster that will standout in any set. Francys, the young Italian making quiet a name for himself on the underground house and techno circuit, lends his skills to 'Back 2 Basics feat. Benji' - channeling the spirit of the early 90s into seven ecstatic minutes. Next up is Salvatore Freda - the highly respected Swiss DJ and producer who injects Niggemann's 'I Don't Care' with a narcotic groove that sits somewhere between Detroit and Berlin - the dubbed out vocals adding an element of otherworldliness that work in perfect compliment to the track's twisted (paranoid) funk. Berlin's own Andre Lodemann picks out 'Lovers' for his excursion, a deep bomb that grows and grows around an exceptional vocal from John Rydell - this is one for the very late nights or early mornings. What is clear from this release is that Alex Niggemann's star continues to rise - the classical pianist turned producer and DJ extraordinaire is moving on to the next phase of his career - and with the slew of outstanding releases to his name already, who is to say where that could lead. Special tracks have a special story behind them. And this one certainly does. After Mario & Vidis recorded a couple of tracks with Ernesto for their debut album Changed they invited him to perform in their home country. During his short stay in Lithuania Ernesto performed two times and both times closed his set with a track called Care. It was kind of a mash-up - Swedish singer & songwriter was using lyrics of his old song to sing over Metro Area's classic Caught Up to a big effect - leaving the packed dance floors to a sing along to lyrical hook of 'sisters and brothers, smokers and lovers, care for me' every time. Big fan of Metro Area's sound Vidis offered him to do a reversion of this mash-up using Caught Up as a reference and inspiration. The vocals were re-recorded, new arrangement was done, and the song was tested in the clubs as well as live on stage. So here it is - another big tune from the three to sing and dance along
