This was one of our albums of 2023 (Double J agreed, too making #16 in their Album Of The Year Countdown). Released in mid-January, it soundtracked our late Australian summer. It’s not a record that’s easily pigeon-holed. Is it alt-country, with a nod to Gillian Welch? Is it classic rock, mined from a similar vein that Chrissie Hynde has drawn from? Is it indie-folk, a lighter, brighter Jen Choler? You tell us.

‘Brighter Side of Blue’ was recorded in Bellambi in the Illawara throughout 2022. Featuring Cecil Coleman from Body Type on drums, and Russell Fitzgibbon (who also released Skeleten’s ‘Under Utopia’) on bass and co-production, it’s a beautiful shiny record that glistens like the sea in that part of Australia, a place where the waves meet ancient escarpment.

The analog version of the masterpiece EP "I'll", released in 2018 as a work that expresses the continuation of the world view of the debut album "Grace",
has been repressed on turquoise blue vinyl!

Haruka Nakamura herself is in charge of the lyrics, composition, and all the instrumental parts. Janis Crunch, who was in charge of vocals on "Grace",
is featured again. The dreamy number "I'll" evokes the beginning of spring and hope, which synchronizes with the fantastic world depicted by photographer
Shiori Iwakura, who collaborated with Haruka Nakamura on the jacket and music video, "Arne", a reconstructed version of the famous song "arne" from the
debut album "Grace", and "Lilium", a song that was used in the climax scene of the movie "Every Day", for which Haruka Nakamura was in charge of the
music, are newly recorded and included.

The B-side includes "Anne", which can be called a different version of "Arne", which was included in Schole's compilation "Joy" in 2013, and is exclusive to the LP.
It connects the worlds of "Grace" and "I'll". It also contains warm songs that bring to mind childhood scenes, such as the nostalgic "Abandoned School Organ" and
"Your Canon", which combine church organ, muted piano, and field recordings.

The artwork, like the 8cm CD, depicts beautiful natural scenery, and the jacket and insert feature a series of photos by the immensely popular photographer
Shiori Iwakura, creating a package that beautifully blends the sound world of "I'll" with the scenery. As with the analog version of "Grace", the mastering was
done by Gen Tanabe, a close friend of Haruka Nakamura's who works on the sound of his works. It is a deep sound production that will give new discoveries
to listeners who were captivated by the release of the 8cm CD.

After meeting vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, & physician Eki Shola through her first vinyl release and playing her on the Oonops Drops show on Brooklyn Radio, Oonops asked her to be featured on the Nautilus single "Why I Came to California" alongside Denise M'Baye.

After this incredible release, a new common project was needed: so he asked Japanese beatmaker Shin-Ski as well as soul pianist, soul producer and soul dj SWING-O 45 a.k.a. 45 from Tokyo who is the head behind the 45trio. Both of them chose their favorites songs from Eki's album "還 (Kaeru)" to create their own vibrant reinterpretation.

Besides the limited black edition, there will be a hand-numbered edition of 50 on golden 7"-vinyl via Oonops Drops.

Big up to northern powerhouse Burnski for steering his Constant Sound label to the not-so-insignificant feat of release number 50. More importantly, the sounds remain as vital as ever and always evolve into subtle new sound worlds. The mantle for this one is taken by Locklead who brings some fine drum patterns to 'Backup' and pairs them with sliding hi-hats and bubbly synth motifs. It's garage-infused but utterly fresh. 'Wizzord' is a darker tech house with searching lead synths and plenty of pent-up energy, and 'Motherland' brings nice jazzy chord work and atmospheric samples. 'Pink Skies' is a bright closer with contrasting synths - some farting, some smooth - and more high-speed, catchy drums that span house and tech.

A selection of beautiful instrumental tracks, and featuring some of the best reggae musicians: Vin Gordon who basically played 90% of all the reggae hit horn lines , from Studio One to Bob Marley & the Wailers; Ernest Ranglin top jazz/reggae guitarist, now 93 yrs old and still playing, he produced the first Jamaican number 1 record “My Boy Lollipop” for Island Records; Dean Fraser, the number 1 Jamaican sax player; The Megahband - Michael Fletcher and Alborosies’ riddim section; Sly Dunbar the greatest reggae drummer; Alan Weekes - UK jazz reggae guitarist who played on most of UK reggae created in the late 70s, and 80s, and produced Carrol Thompson’s Hopelessly in Love LP; Jackie Mittoo responsible for 80% of all the biggest reggae riddims.

Third album by singer and producer Charlotte Marionneau. A collection of sonic trips that try to capture the spark of beat poetry. She is almost a magician who has captured the directness of punk and can do magic with the emotion of pop. And she is always in the experimental grab bag. On the track 'Two-Love' Noel Gallagher plays piano and bass. Further on there is a Daniel Johnston cover presented as a duet with Terry Hall and his son Theodore and here Noel plays guitar. Marionneau reminds one of a female Syd Barrett. She counts among her admirers: Kevin Shields, Mazzy Star, Noel Gallagher, The Television Personalities, Simon Raymonde, Grimm Grimm, Piano Magic and Cillian Murphy. Le Volume Courbe "Planet Ping Pong" is a collection of sonic trips echoing fulgurances of beat poetry. Charlotte is a magician who can weave the directness of punk with the emotions of pop while staying in the realms of edgy experimentation. The bunny comes out of the hat smoking a cigarette and looks you in the eye. The single "Two-Love" is a collaboration with Noel Gallagher on piano and bass and Lascelles Gordon on percussions. The album also includes a cover by Daniel Johnston "Mind Contorted" which is presented as a duet with Terry Hall, and also features his son Theodore Hall and Noel Gallagher on guitars. The originality of Charlotte's music shares something with outsider art: naïve, primitive, primal, rather than following the standard rules. The new album selfproduced and mixed by Brendan Lynch and Charlotte is no exception, It's a unique and compelling listen laced with surprises, subversions and a refreshing candour which sets it apart from anything else. Charlotte was born and raised in France and moved to London in 1995. She was first signed to Alan McGee Poptones label in 2001, and her debut "I killed my best friend" was released in 2005 on Honest Jon's Records. She has also worked with a number of other bands and musicians including Kevin Shields, Mazzy Star, Noel Gallagher, The Television Personalities, Simon Raymonde, Grimm Grimm, Piano Magic etc.. Her song "Born to Lie" was featured in Series 2 of Killing Eve and Spotify selected her song "Rusty" for their "best of the decade 2010-2020" alternative compilation. Cillian Murphy selected the same song for his BBC6 compilation. "She reminds me of a female Syd Barrett... she keeps running into me all over the place from concerts or serving me ice cream at the Curzon on a wet Saturday night or on Jools Holland with the High Flying Birds... Albion Collective’s new dance-driven catalogue, Gold, opens its doors to a neck-snapping three-track EP limited to a vinyl edition of 100 from a brand-new name in dubstep, Adel Force. The name may be brand-new, but you’ve heard the Estonian producer’s celebrated talents across countless labels, soundsystems and DJ sets under the 15-year-strong moniker Bisweed. Now ready to metamorphose into the next phase of his artistic journey, Adel Force brings you the Twirl EP on Albion Gold.

Dropping the needle onto each Albion Collective release reveals a labyrinth of unique, experimental dubstep styles lauded for both their success in DJ sets and original sonic visions. Holding these pillars of pioneering creativity close to its heart, the new branch of Albion Collective intensifies its focus on moving people. No song could better exemplify the Gold catalogue’s dancefloor-igniting mission statement than Adel Force’s full-throttle opening track, Is This What You Want.

The Twirl EP vinyl, like all of the Gold releases to follow, is hand-stamped, numbered, and features a gold embossed logo. Following the DIY, hand-painted aesthetic, splashes of gold make each sleeve as distinct and unique as the music it cloaks. Albion Collective are proud to work with Adel Force on their debut release and bring you Twirl, the first EP of the Gold catalogue.

Sense and Sensuality (1982) was the second and final album by seminal British post-punk band The Au Pairs. The four-piece group from Birmingham were very much in tune with the early 80s growth pangs from the first punk explosion - stripping down their music from their debut LP to a funkier, more rhythmic essence, and shifting the focus of their lyrics to the personal rather than the political.

The addition of horns and imaginative synthesizers allowed for more satisfying sonic diversity, from the disco-informed dance-punk of “Instant Touch” to the cabaret swing of “Tongue in Cheek”. While “That’s When It’s Worth It” takes several elements of popular post-punk - looping auxiliary percussion rhythms and a sporadically used horn section - and crafts them into a wild sound that’s equal parts dance, psychedelia, punk and art pop.

Their distinctly punk take on sex and gender politics, meanwhile, was their strongest thematic strain - and that’s truly where Sense and Sensuality shined. Despite only reaching #79 in the UK when first released, it’s now widely seen as one of the best post-punk albums ever.

Sense and Sensuality is now available as a limited numbered edition of 750 copies on translucent magenta coloured vinyl and contains an insert.

Neo Gibson, born in Virginia and based in New York City, records, performs, and produces as 7038634357. This numerical alias, under which Gibson has been releasing work since 2016, offers a window into the careful ambivalences of the musical project. It conjures the impersonal_the opacity and randomness of data, a number that is hard to remember or even say out loud_while also suggesting a direct line of communication with the artist, down to an area code indexing their biography. 7038634357 uses a restricted palette to achieve music that is formally precise and emotionally direct. Their digital-native approach to production, in which frank melodies cross paths with heavy distortion, contains traces of both trance's maximalist arcs and a songwriterly intimacy. Expressive details may appear submerged or abraded, subjected to a canny sense of dynamics and textural specificity. Waterfall Horizon, Gibson's second vinyl record with Blank Forms Editions under the moniker 7038634357, was written for live performance and workshopped over successive shows during their 2022 European tour. Here, hallmarks of their earlier, studio-crafted recordings_digital distortion that obfuscates their lyrics and a slow-burning ambience_are noticeably pared back. Instead, Waterfall Horizon takes on a pop inflection, adopting more traditional lyric scaffolds so that the interstices from verse to chorus or track to track can flourish within their limited tonal range.Across recordings and performances, Gibson activates wide-ranging mechanisms of audience connection: from the relative anonymity of internet platforms to live experiments with the spatial effects of amplification. They have a particular interest in site-specific performances in non-musical spaces, and have performed in a variety of contexts, including the mezzanine of the West 4th Street subway station in New York City and INA GRM/Radio France's Présences électronique festival. Under their own name, Gibson has maintained a longstanding collaboration with the artist Charles Stobbs, working primarily with FM transmission and techniques derived from the early-seventeenth-century English tradition of change-ringing bells. The first 7038634357 vinyl record, Neo Seven, was released on Blank Forms Editions in 2023; previous releases include self-released cassettes and CD-Rs, as well as a pair of EPs on Genome 6.66 Mbp (2018, 2019).

Tennessee Ernie Ford, will go down in music history for his bestknown song ‘Sixteen Tons’. Penned by country legend Merle
Travis, it put Ford at the top of the Billboard chart for seven
weeks in late 1955-early 1956, selling a million copies in just
three weeks. It was also Capitol Records’ first Number 1 of the
rock era. He also hosted a Thursday-night variety show, which
ran for nearly five years, and had several big hits in the US and
UK. His music endures, and this vinyl collection of his very best
songs is testament to a unique performer.

Hi-Dynamic Instrumental & Dub is the latest release from Breadwinners records released on 2nd May 2025. With 11 tracks in total, it has been manufactured in the UK at Press On Vinyl. After a series of vocal-led albums on Breadwinners records, this is first full length instrumental based dub album in a number of years. Featuring the legendary Vin Gordon on Trombone and two of the finest saxophonists in the north west of England in Nat Birchall and Stally. Drawing on rhythm tracks created over the last few years by Al Breadwinner at his analogue Bakery Studio in Manchester, the album utilises various vintage outboard effects and lost dub techniques to create this “Hi-dynamic” sound.
