Doch anstatt die Klassiker abzudecken, haben sich die vier hier versammelten Psych-Pop- und Mod-nahen Künstler, Bandkollegen und Gare du Nord-Mitarbeiter dafür entschieden, in die weniger bekannten Tiefen des Pretty Things-Katalogs einzutauchen:Der Produzent und Multiinstrumentalist Andy Lewis spielt ,Walking Down The Street" aus den Electric Banana-Sessions von 1967. Der Pariser Popmeister Popincourt übernimmt ,You Don't Believe Me" aus dem Pretties-Album "Get the Picture" aus dem Jahr 1965. Dann ist da noch Ian Buttons ,Papernut Cambridge", der sich der seltsamen Stop-and-Go-Seltsamkeit des Kult-Pop-Juwels ,Defecting Grey" stellt, während Canterburys eigener kontinentaler Pop-Korrespondent Robert Rotifer ,House of Ten"von der häufig vergessenen, aber allgemein glorreichen Kammerpop-LP "Emotions" von 1967 einen Besuch abstattet.,Das ist ein großes Kompliment an die Band", schrieb Dick Taylor, Gitarrist der Pretties, als er um Zustimmung zur Veröffentlichung gebeten wurde, was alle seine Fans bei Gare du Nord Records sehr glücklich machte.,House of Four" (VÖ: 23.08.24/Gare du Nord) wird in einer limitierten Auflage von 300 Exemplaren als 10" EP mit 45 U/min (und digital) erscheinen, mit einer zusätzlichen Postkarte mit dem von Robert Rotifer liebevoll gezeichneten Puppenhaus-Covermotiv. Es ist ein anglo-französisch-österreichisches Cross-Continental kulturelles Unterfangen zu Ehren einer großartigen britischen Band, die sechs Jahrzehnte später immer noch kein bekannter Name ist (außer in den besten Haushalten), es aber immer verdient hat.Schade nur, dass Phil May nicht mehr da ist, um es zu hören ...

Legions Of Doom, die Doom-Metal-Supergroup mit Mitgliedern von The Skull, Trouble, Saint Vitus und Corrosion Of Conformity mit einer brandneuen, limitierten 7inch auf Tee Pee Records. Ursprünglich für das dritte The Skull-Album vorgesehen, begannen die Arbeiten an 'All Good Things' vor dem Tod von Eric Wagner (Ex-Trouble) im Jahr 2021. Es übernahm Karl Agell (Lie Heavy, C.O.C., Blind) die Vocals, unterstützt von The Skulls Ron Holzner (ebenfalls Ex-Trouble) am Bass, Lothar Keller an der Gitarre und Henry Vasquez (Druma), wobei Scott Little an der Gitarre und David Snyder (Trouble, BlackFinger) noch mit an Bord waren. Texte über Hoffnung und Geduld krönen einen flüssigen, schweren Groove und ein knackiges Refrain-Riff in aufrichtiger Metal-Manier. Auf dem Deep Purple-Cover 'Into The Fire' auf der B-Seite verleiht die Band einem Klassiker ihren eigenen Stil - Rock und eine Hommage an die Wurzeln des Doom im Swing-Groove der frühen 70er. Things are getting better is a bold statement to make in a time when the world seems to be on the verge of world war 3 and the cost of living is rising beyond most of our reach. Five years ago when I started the Voices of Creation with Jack I knew the world would need new songs, new mantras and prayers for this new day that is dawning. We would need more faith, we would need love, we would need vision, and we would need each other. A part of every beginning is an ending, this is an observable law of nature. So it is with unyielding faith and a hopeful heart that I look out at this world and find reasons and ways to keep moving forward with love; making music that echoes with the sparks of this new world I’m working to see come into view. Things may be falling apart, old ways of being becoming unsustainable; death, war, chaos, genocide, famine, and floods; symptoms of the internal combustion of a society wracked with fear and given more access to weapons than to their own feelings.

This collection of songs are my testimony in a way, a sonic exploration of finding my faith and figuring out how to use my faith to navigate life and this great big old world after losing family (my mother Betty and my brother Keith) and in a way losing my sense of hope for what my future could even be. Through the writing and singing of these songs I healed myself of the doubt and mistrust of the unknown. I found a way to forge my faith into what is now a mighty sword of song, community, and ministry with the intention of healing myself and others. I’ve always felt as though melody and language were tools that could be agents of change and healing if used with intention and integrity. To witness the expanding joy and shared purpose grow within the choir and to see the contagious nature of faith and togetherness through our rehearsals and shows showed me how necessary it is to the human experience. This has been truly revelatory, further anchoring me in what I feel my purpose is on the planet; and that is to sing and bring to life more joy, peace, love, community, unity, faith, and praise. With more of those energies flowing around the planet, things will surely get better and better and better…ad infinitum. Word to Nina, Jimmy & Betty, and all my angels and ancestors riding wit me. We still here and God is still good.

The multifaceted Perth-based record label 823, founded by Australian producer and creative powerhouse Ta-ku, is gearing up for "All Things Considered Vol. 3." Committed to detail and a celebration of life's simple pleasures, this LP refuses to be confined to any single genre. Noteworthy releases from 823 include Cabu's "So Far To Go" EP, Ta-ku and Matt McWaters's collaboration "Black and White," featuring the Masego collaboration "Flight 99," and their debut project with Australian producer and instrumentalist Kuzich.

This time, The guest list includes Jakarta Records beat-veterans Alexander Flood, Lucid Green, and Cabu, bringing RnB with a soulful twist that's sure to warm the heart. Playfully melodic artists Makzo, falcxne & Seb Zellner blend jazz, soul, and sweetness creating a natural and playful sound for the LP. Den Brooks, Lovesome, and Tambala all contribute to the rhythmic neo-soul zest on the iconic 808 beat.

On the whole, "All Things Considered Vol. 3" embarks on a forward-thinking rhythmic journey into the creative minds behind the LP. It's as diverse and eclectic as those minds themselves and proudly follows up on its first and second volumes. Natural sounds blend seamlessly with electronic elements, from lush melodies to wintery vibes. Playful vocals adorn this 12-track gem, from Lucid Green's ethereal journey "Splash" twisted in UK garage vibes to the jazz-pop infused "Lost & Found" by Makzo & friends, echoing Jamiroquai-esque beats. Mazz Swift (they/them), the composer, conductor, bandleader, educator, singer, and Juilliard-trained violinist who weaves classic African-American musics, electronica, and mindfulness into their music, releases "No More" from their upcoming debut solo album The 10000 Things: PRAISE SONGS for the iRiligious via New Amsterdam Records.

After ‚Running in Waves‘ the Cologne based label ‚Serial Sound’ is back with the second release. ‚´till things ghost‘ is going to be Jonas Landwehr´s debut solo EP. After publishing collaborative works or various artist EPs he is now ready to take the next step. The newest project is tied around the idea of a diverse taste and inspirations while it’s centered around playing with different rhythms. Multiple styles such as House, Techno or Reggaeton as well as various tempos come together on this project. ‚ginko‘ serves as an intro and shows what kind of contrast the rest of the record will be about with it’s airy chord pads that cut to a growling bass accompanied by a slow burning reggaeton groove. ‚disaronno straight‘ adopts this idea but gives it a faster UK influenced twist with a wobbly bassline and chopped vocals ready for the club. ‚sin tí‘ closes the A-Side and aims for summer vibes and floating lightness. ‚overcome?‘ opens the B-Side with a hypnotic pulsing bass and percussion interaction and leads into ‚something about u‘, a soulful vocal feature from LAINE which sits on a broken beat with deep chords and House accents. ‚seeds‘ is closing off the record with an aggressive, faster paced metallic Dancehall rhythm contrasted with enthralling pad sounds.

In 2002, the American heavy metal band Mudvayne released their sophomore album The End Of All Things To Come, which expanded their sound with a more versatile range of sounds, dynamic, moods and vocalization. The band wrote the album's songs in less than a month, drawing inspiration from their self-imposed isolation during the songwriting process, and crafted a more mature sound which drew from jazz and progressive rock influences, as well as elements of death metal and thrash metal. For the production, Mudvayne worked with three-time Grammy Award winner David Bottrill. The album spawned two singles: “Not Falling” and “World So Cold”, which were both a commercial success and charted well. The End Of All Things To Come is available as a limited edition of 1500 individually numbered copies on purple marbled vinyl. The 2LP is housed in a gatefold sleeve and includes a 4-page booklet.

Waterloo To Anywhere is the debut album from the short-lived, briefly adored Dirty Pretty Things - Originally released on Vertigo Records in May 2006, the album reached No 3 in the UK charts and spawned three Top 40 singles - This re-issue is pressed on high-quality 180g black vinyl. What do you do after being in the Libertines, one of the most notorious British bands of the early 21st Century? For Carl Bart, you form Dirty Pretty Things, something of an indie supergroup of their moment. Joining Bart was Libertines drummer Gary Powell, guitarist Anthony Rossomando, who'd stood in for Doherty, and former Cooper Temple Clause bassist, Didz Hammond. Leading Waterloo To Anywhere was the infectious UK Top 5 hit Bang Bang You're Dead, which set the tone for the fabulous collection of rock, punk and ska. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Dave Sardy and then later in Glasgow with Tony Doogan, the album showed the strength of the group's writing. Away from the standard high-octane indie of Gin & Milk and You F*cking Love It, The Gentry Cove was particularly captivating, marrying Bart's fascinating wordplay with robust Clash reggae/sea shanty interludes. Two years later, it was all over; Bart and Powell rejoined the Libertines (and Rossomando later going on to win an Oscar for co-writing Shallow from the film A Star Is Born).

Limited Pink w/ Purple & Cream Swirl Vinyl. To celebrate the 10 Year anniversary of their album The Things We Think We're Missing, Balance and Composure teamed up with longtime collaborator Will Yip to track the record live for a one-time livestream event in late 2023. That performance has been pressed to vinyl & is now available in a one-time vinyl pressing.

Ebbot Lundberg (The Soundtrack of Our Lives, Union Carbide Productions) continue to explore music, time and space. In the midst of his reunion with TSOOL and their highly successful tour Ebbot manages to come up with one of his best records ever and we are proud to team up with his label Akashic to release this MLP of Village Green-era Kinks and Floydish introspection.
